Rework pros: they severely nerfed her 3 gen playstyle. That's a very positive change.
Rework cons: There's still zero skill expression whatsoever with her power. This is a skill-free killer. We shouldn't be designing powers that are this passive and easy to use. It will never, ever feel skillful or earned to be hit by or downed in relation to her power. This isn't even an issue of strength. It's just braindead gameplay where a much worse killer can down a much better survivor.
Like if using survivor or killer perks require any skill at all. Every perk work passively or by pressing a button. The only real variable in the game is the way you play. Not every killer should be hard to learn and even less when you compare it to playing survivor which is by far less skill applied required.

I normally let my condemned get about half way then get a tape but I've had a a couple times where I've been injured and she's just teleported everywhere I've gone and couldn't escape her 😅 just unlucky.
Thats not the best way to play againts her, letting condemn go beyond half is a big risk specially if she applying too much pressure. The best way is as soon as you spawn in the map go for a tape and hold it. You don't get any condemn at all while holding, that her only counterplay but there is an OP addon (Mother's Comb) that should get changed that shows sadako the aura of tv that has been turned off, so you better watch out after turning off a tv.
The broken combo: Mother's Comb and Iridescent Videotape that force you to go to the most far away tv are really problematic, with the first one you can watch out after turning off a tv but with the other one you can't do anything other than cross the entire map and expect the tv its not turned off.. i know this one is ultra rare but its just too op. More than her power its her addons the problem..
-
I sometimes dodge p100 survivors but as survivor.. only 1 or 2 out of 10 have decent skill, most p100 i have seen just troll, die in first hook or dc... Its pretty dumb to hide prestige anyway, you can just remember their names..
-
Don't get deceived by survivors that don't want to put turrets or don't want to change their perks to counter Xeno.. Xeno is not op at all, while he can be decent at loops if he have the tail attack, hes still susceptible to gen rush like every killer.
This build i use goes good for the most times.. this guys bringed the big guns and i could manage to kill 3 but with a lot of effort. But don't expect this build to be as effective as in my screenshot.. before that match 3 survs escaped.. It depends on the skill of the SWF and how hard you try and the map.
if you don't recognize the perks its: Save the best for last + Scourge: Pain Resonance + Pop goes the weasel + Rapid Brutality
About addons.. those two are good: One tells you about gen progression with red aura and the other gives undetectable if a turret take out your power. But the addon that gives 5% speed while upon leaving the tunnels is also good. Have fun friend.

It is still coming, yes. When it's a little closer, we'll be sure to let you know when you can expect it.
😲 Oh It's finally coming? or its more like coming soon ™?
The basekit mori idea would be cool to also be implemented. It was mentioned and still didn't happen either. It could be a good excuse and incentive to make new mori animations..
-
Easy fix: drones cannot be drop near generators.. Make her power usable only in loops or other areas, give more drones to compensate, reduce the active zone (cause is huge) but reduce the re-activation cooldown of the controller for inactive drones and make the speed boost addon while inside the area basekit in exchange and of course keep the lock on build to not feel just like an M1 killer with speedboost.
To avoid people just running behind her and destroying her drones, the drones don't destroy when a survivor interact with it but instead the drone get locked (similar to the singularity eyes) for and amount of time and the SM cannot re-activate them while so and obviously drones don't return anymore to her "infinite magic bag", making available to retrieve only active drones.
And there you have a fun female trapper with some variations imo.

"I'm actually losing count of how many times my teammates are ruining my Plot Twist heals"
Oh bro i feel you.. i was in a perfect spot doing my thing and another Cage came to me and brought the killer with him and i got hooked and killed after. Average soloq teammates i would say
-
Survivor sided? lol, the game state while playing solo after the last patches this one included is painful.
Its a horrible experience, there is literally nothing you can do to escape, you depend too much on your team, and because the matchmaking is non existent and the devs keep nerfing solo q perks and repair speed, its almost imposible to escape.
Most survivors i get matched take ages to repair or get down so fast that i attempt to repair the same generator the ENTIRE match because of the boring meta of Pop+PainRes+jolt. Im pretty sure soloQ kill rates are over 80% and probably more, this game state is unbearable.
The devs force you to play SWF, and in the other hand a good SWF can be broken to a point most killer will have a miserable game too specially the forgotten and weaker killers.
-
Not just that map they updated several, the "balance" is awful.. Look at azarov, the one with the house in the midde, its completely empty, no pallets no windows no walls, no nothing. ######### behaviour..
-
Yes sometimes the gen spaws are really bad for survivor. Just look at this one in ormond. Fortunately the killer wasn't very clever and he didn't camp this two gens and i was able to finish them quickly because i knew that leaving this two for the end is a guaranteed lose.. It happens in other maps very frecuently

The buffs did essentially nothing for him. The counter-play is the same.
Make sure you never ever ever path yourself into a corner of the map and barring that, hold W.
You are not taking advantage of his abilitys if you feel hes the same. The pressure you can apply on the survivors is far superior than most killers with him. I played 3 matches today as him two 4k, one 3k and the last one was againts a 4 man swf.
The guards speed boost is enough to cut survivors path fairly easy and give them trouble, If you are not doing sandwiches you are not doing it right. Btw Dried horsemeat and map of the realm addons are still the best one for me.
-
I think the same, the most efficient thing is to go with a yellow medkit with a bandage, so you have 2 heals, usually enough. So you can use all your perk slots for survival perks.
-
Tough as always, i managed to escape only 1 in like 8 games, there was 3 games with dcs, the usual.. The main problem besides that is eruption carrying to much and the awful matchmaking obviously. Oh i almost forgot, and 1 cheater, a trickster that was throwing knives like if he was in main event all the time.
With 2.5k hours myself i got a survivor with 5 hours today.. no kidding, i asked him and he was in the team because he was in a a group with another survivor of 2k hours.. Things like this shoudn't be allowed, it ruins the match for the rest of the team.

Then which asym game? Piruluk at least gave a list of dbd styled games but we have yet to see your example of one that is balanced around high lvl play and done better.
While we're against to much hand holding, dbd needs to mostly be balanced around casual play as that's what the majority of players are, not swat swfs or the perfect play killers. If they make changes that turn away casuals then the game bleeds out.
And to add to that, the hand holding is for survivors only. Why the killer community should sweat and play like people with 5000 hours when survivors get a lot of free info patch after patch and by just pressing E in the right moment they can restart a chase? Or by just pre dropping pallet after pallet 3 gens are done because of poor map balance?
Killers shoudn't be balanced around top players because survivors aren't balanced around top survivor at all. Simple as that, and as you say the casual players are the life of this game, upset them to the point of no return and the future of the game won't be bright.

Exactly. These changes are definitely a good step but still don’t get to the root issue. And tbh I seriously doubt this will affect her performance in any way besides starstruck being useless on her now
Let’s hope they keep an eye on her after the changes and see how it affects her
Dude.. If you concentrated that hate on something productive, you could achieve great things.

Strawman, or do you think exaggeration helps making a point across? (It doesn't)
Let me make it simpler :
Player who are good with the Nurse have played her a lot, so they'll have only a marginal effort to up their game.
New players will start with a handicap, so unless they are really committed, they'll fail.
Remember that on the statistics, Nurse is the worst player in the game except at high MMR. And at high MMR it wasn't event that good compared to the others.
I'm sure she'll be generally worse now.
As long as she doesn't become the next Billy, I'll play her (although being nice will be out of the window)
I doubt it, with this changes even the most experienced will have to sweat, and expect them to tunnel you 100% of the times. She needed a rework, not to be scrapped from patch to patch to a very unfun and sweaty version of what she originally was.
You know that if you pick her you are playing a gutted version. A complete rework would be much better, at this point playing her would be an stress more than a fun experience, wich it what playing a game should give.

Then don't play Nurse. You have 29 other killers to choose from.
As a console player, I'm already resolved to never play Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Trickster or Deathslinger, and even Plague is a task sometimes.
The nurse deserves a proper rework that at least a quarter or the killer playerbase would like to play, not a "nerf everything rant" which is what the patch notes looks like.

Why does it matter that Nurse has to plough through all 2/3 health states when she can already do so in under 20 seconds anyway? An M1 killer will take 40-60 seconds to catch up after each hit, Nurse can do it in 5 seconds.
Thats not a realistic nurse chase at all, unless the survivor have 10 hours in the game.

The experienced Nurse will manage, so will the nut-jobs wanting to learn her at all costs.
The others will not play her at all or simply lose.
I'm curious to see how much that notification will affect the chases though. It may be the true killing blow.
... I may burn the thousands of range/recharge add-ons I've never used before they disappear forever/
Sure.. lets pretend everyone need to play like people that play 24/7 dbd without lives.. you can't balance a game around top 5 players in the world you need to find a good point. Come on dude be real.

If it puts an end to Starstruck Nurse then I am happy. She also cannot capitalize on devour hope, Noed, Haunted Grounds etc with her blink attacks.
Which translate to, when she downs and hook around 4 times all gens are probably gonna pop.. She will be an M1 killer that have to deal with third health state without any instadown, and we all know what that means. She needed changes but this is killing her completely, they should at least reduce the blink recharge speed to compensate or not take away the range addons.
-
Prepare to embrace even more blights now, i woudn't be so happy.

Indeed the MM is either a complete lie or a broken thing that should be scrapped because it doesn't work at all. My experience is that the MM only "works" to match me with decent killers, but fails to match me with good teammates.
I don't know if this is on purpose (it definitely looks like) but the only thing that this promotes is very unfair and unbalanced games, people that dc or suicide, yes.. we blame our teammates for doing it but the devs are the ones to blame.. We need a working matchmaking and/or soloQ buff.
-
@Tsulan said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/357494/true-solo-queue-escape-rate
Aaand you would lose that money.
Solo queue is in a pretty good spot right now. The only thing thats beating survivors right now, is other survivors. As you already recognized by suiciding/disconnecting. Apart from that, i don´t see a shrinking survivor population. Or where do you get those numbers from?
Time to go to bed grandpa..
Now jokes aside, soloQ is in the worse state i have seen in all this years (been playing since 2016), i rarely play dbd lately because of this, its not fun obviously. Most of the times its like your teammates are doing the challenge of who is the most potato or the most crybaby that dc faster.
The devs should start giving tools to soloQ to balance things, like kindred basekit and game mechanics changes like removing the possibility to suicide, but the most important thing is a working matchmaking not the crap we have now.
We need a decent matchmaking because It doesn't matter how many times you die in a row all i get is pro killers maybe only 1 or 2 not so skilled in 10 games and my teammates are like 70% of the times a potato lying on the keyboard.
Now i don't know if this is because i play since 2016 and maybe i have a MM so high that never lowers but if it was like that then i should get more decent survivors but its not the case, it looks like the matchamking only works to match me with skilled killers but fails to match me with decent survivors.. so in others words its broken.
-
The only unbelieve thing here is some of you thinking you deserve a "special treatment". They are not point guning anyone to buy the limited skins.. get over with it. Maybe if you spend more time working instead of wasting your time on the forums you could buy the skins you want all at cost.. Like, come on its just a skin your life isn't going to end if you don't have one or two.
-
Exactly.. no one is forced to buy the skins, if you like one and want it you buy it, if you can't you don't, end of the story. Its not like it give any advantage at the game or anything. Stop being drama queens for frivolous and ephemeral things like this.

Unless you confirm that when they return they'll be available for shards again, we're going to assume the worst.
Because you showed us that that's what you're gonna do.
So please, either confirm that they'll be available for shards, or start trying to convince the higher ups to make them available for shards next year if you don't want people to worry about it.
Dude the people that are bothered by limited cosmetics is a very tiny portion of the playerbase that probably only lurk here on the forums wich is also another very small fraction of the playerbase.. you are all being very dramatic about something that is just a skin.. that you are NOT i repeat NOT forced to buy it and it just hang there for people that want and can pay for it.
It doesn't give any advantage in the game and there is nothing wrong with selling limited skins, its just a cosmetic thing.. If it bother you soo much and you can't pay for it maybe you should use the time you spend in the forums to work harder instead, if you really want those skins.
Be real Behaviour isn't doing anything wrong and in fact they are one of the very few game companies that refund the "battle pass" once you complete it.. many games don't do it at all.
-
A few bugs over here and over there but besides that the new killer is really fun, pretty decent and many awesome perks works with his guards like blood favor 😎. And 2 of his perks are really good, a pity that only 1 perk from vittorio is somewhat decent.
-
Because most soloQ survivors aren't smart enough to release the gen and predict the down.
-
That depends there are some things that were better in old version of the game and things that are better now.. i play not more than 2 or 3 hours a day though if there are no events i only play 1 to 3 times a week only. There are many things that needs to get changed, soloq is in a terrible state because of DCs, bad MMR and camp/tunnels in early game.

Why would you give the unhooker endurance?
I already explained it..
-
Cool concept but it doesn't really prevent camping? Only for range killers that are far away.. if they still can get inside the purpose of preventing camping its not done. The main problem with camping is that is a win win situation for the killer because you only have two options as a survivor.. do a trade off or left the survivor to die.
A true way to prevent camping would be to bring back old BT with a reduced duration (old BT gave the unhooker endurance) while it won't affect every killer (bubba will still down you) it will prevent face camping from most killers and it's the easiest solution i can think off.
-
Its mostly happens because a trash killer camp or tunnel in first hook. The solution is simple, doing something to prevent early face camp or tunnel in the game.
Or bring back old Borrowed Time with a tweaked duration, like 5 seconds of endurance to the unhooker instead of the crazy 25 seconds it had before it was changed. That would prevent hooks trade off for killers that face camp, as a side effect this would mitigate DCs a lot, besides tunneling and camping.
-
@burt0r said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3256830#Comment_3256830
Because that isn't a solution but brings another problem.
A free unhook no matter the circumstances isn't any better.
Survivor would just bumrush the hook without any regard.
It would punish a camper the same as a normal killer getting let back to the hook because it's a lose/lose scenario for them. That's also a reason why it was changed in the first place.
Its far better than the current situation the game is facing, and the seconds of endurance could get easily tweak to not get abused. i don't see any problem at bringing old BT back but only an overall better experience.
Even 5 seconds of endurance is enough to prevent killers that face camp and force your team to do a trade or leave the survivor to die. This won't affect killers that don't camp in any way. The real problem with old BT was the duration.
-
Thinking about the DBD from long time ago (1.4.2 version), the original version of BT gave the unhooker also an endurance status, that would be a nice balance change given the circumstances of how much killers rely on cheap tactics like camping and tunneling on first hook this days.
If you try to unhook the camped survivor is a guarenteed trade off right now, a win win for the killer and ignoring the hooked isn't a solution either because there isn't enough time to finish gens, and even less if there are suicides which there will surely be because its a miserable experience to get camped or tunneled in first hook.
The devs literally have the tools to balance the game, but it looks like they are too focused on realeasing new chapters and skins.. I hope they consider bringing back original BT to stop this awful experiences for once.
-
They need to do something to completely forbid the possibility to camp and tunnel people on first hook at 5 gens. Right now the game rewards this 0 skill playstyle too much because the survivors don't have time to finish all gens if the killer does that. And let's not even talk if the tunneled or camped one suicide or DC.
-
It is, if you or the killer have high ping you can get exausted on the ground like long time ago. It happens a lot on sudamerica servers when you get 200 pings out of nowhere.
-

1st case: Im also not sure how to feel about this. Me playing mid-low MMR just to have fun. If killer is too weak and we have 4 escape, my MMR will increase really high and instantly face try hard killer.
2nd case: I know many people dont aim to get high MMR to get more casual match. If 3 of us try to help the 4th one to make 4 escape, it will not be preferred than leaving the 4th one to die, just to have MMR increased less
3rd case: imaging Im not good enough and get tunneled to death at 2-3 Gen left, the other 3 gets lucky to have killer chased the best survivor and make 3 escape, then next match I get even harder match because teammates are so good
The MM is completely broken right now, you never face a casual or noob killer even if you die 10 times in a row. So imo i think this change will at least give you slighty more decent survivor in your teams. That would mean less DC, suicide and trolling around.. i hope.
-
Obviously Off the record, its tunneling day 24/7. As killer it doesn't really matter, probably some aura reading perk, like Lethal pursuer, BBQ or Im all ears.
-
Add tunneling/camping in first hook to that. Yep the game is in the worse state i have seen in years, and devs aren't going in the right way either. Overall experience is miserable.
-
The fix should be removing the possibility to camp and tunnel early game and only allow it past some point. That's the fairest way to do it, the how to is the tricky part.

Agreed 2018 player I always play solo survivor and games without Kindred are pretty much a loss or much harder so I always bring Kindred. (I'm definitely not the only one who does this) This would be perfect because you can what your teammates are doing and you can see if the killer is camping or not. Way better than a basekit unbreakable where survivors can just get up ruining a killers pressure
Yea first they bring BT basekit wich is far surpassed by Off the Record so not really a good change but i can somewhat understand it, and now they are thinking about unbreakable basekit which boost tunneling.. meanwhile kindred the most needed perk for soloQ is forgotten. I know it has being said a lot but it really looks like the devs don't play their own game.
-
If you check the profiles of the people that plays like this most of the times they are unsuccessful streamers or people with issues in their lifes, so take it from who it came. So when you are in a row againts this type of people just take a break and you will feel a bit better. I'm sure that at some point this cheese way to play will be completely removed because its not healthy in any way.
-
The one perk that should have been basekit they missed it.. Of course im talking about kindred. After that i don't think there are any more changes needed for soloQ because camping and tunneling in the first hook is a global problem not just related to soloQ.
This cheese tactics shoudn't be promoted in anyway at least at the start of the game as it make the experience of the other players miserable. I can understand that a killer decide to tunnel or camp when there are only 2 or 1 gen left, but doing it right after the game started its toxic as minimum, to not say other things 😂
-
Indeed a QoL needed change.

Sally was my gal, she is my favourite killer and I spent many hundreds of hours learning her and suffered the humiliation any Nurse main knows we all go through at the start. My teacher was an absolute god with her and back before her nerf he taught me a lot of her ins and outs and I loved how strong she is.
My teacher no longer plays DBD (he lost interest after 5k hours) and when I last spoke to him about Nurse I was shocked to hear him outright state she is broken and needs a major nerf. But a year or two since then I have realised he was right... I love Nurse but she is broken as much as I hated to admit it.
How to fix her? I honestly don't know for sure. But we all know no game should have a character that can win 500 times in a row and that is a problem whether people want to admit it or not.
Blight and Huntress as far easier to use and they have the same results if they go full tryhard mode same for Pinhead. And yet people likes to target the few ones that play Nurse. I'm not saying she doesn't need any change, but priorities..
-
I'm more annoyed by the awkward shoulder animation when running, which its more noticeable in the RE4 outfit, because his back is more narrow than most survivors and he lower his shoulders in a silly unnatural way.
Although I know this is a problem for most male survivors, i hope they give them some love and update that horrible animation, that's not how you run in real life unless you want unwanted attention 😂
-
@Ronaldo said:
When is nurse gonna get rework , not really rework just needs to delete both ranges and make blinking to be a m2 because with starstruck and range is really unfun and unhealthy. I don't have a problem with nurse but with those things you can't do anything even she is bad. Lol I don't want any hate :)
You also can't do anything if a Huntress or Bubba decide to camp the hook or if a dpi enjoyer Blight has Blighted Crow + Alchemist's Ring, its a guarantee loss for the survivor team and yet its allowed.
Now i know this isn't entirely related to your post but in someway its is.. many unfair things are present in this game and this three i mentioned are more urgent imo because how often we see a Nurse?

The Artist is the type of killer that rely on your skill more than the player behind, she can't do much if you are better than her. Try to play as her or practice in a custom match and see how frustrating she can be against pro survivors, people don't pick her for a reason.
-
It certainly feels like that, most killers plays the same way this days: hook>camp>tunnel>repeat. Probably 90% of them are bots programmed to tunnel and camp in first hook 😂
-
What are you talking about? Shes kinda weak and easy to counter, you only need to go full W or fake and make her miss.
