The problem is, no one but the devs knows for sure, so waiting on confirmation.
-
I think that every killer in the red ranks knows these kinds of spots, as they do it on me too. And if not, they need to step up their game, that is how I see it anyway. But that is, as I said, only found on very high skill level play, like when you played the game for so long
-
For example, on the Clown Map, the pallet below the outer stairs. You just back up, walk up the stairs and drop halfway off onto the pallet. It is placed so to do it, or not??
-
2) is the best idea I think

@Snapshot You have to do a Google search for Nvidia Freestyle and see if it's whitelisted by EAC. I don't know for sure, because even though I have it, I don't actually use it.
Other than that, you try it and take a chance.
If it doesn't appear on the EAC whitelist, then the usual stance from Behavior is a post telling you to use it at your own risk.
Thanks for the info

You will only get banned if it's a third party program that EAC has on it's bannable list.
Considering every time I enter DbD, or any other game that uses EAC, I get that Alt+F3 Nvidia overlay reminder popping up in the corner of my screen, and I can play DbD, any Hi-Rez game, and Apex Legends just fine, I'd say: Nope.
How do I know if that game filter is on the ban list of EAC?

Honestly I'd suggest to just keep it on low, You see better and can even see the killer's red stain on the ground trough most walls.
No thank you. I don't need to use that exploit to my advantage. Also on low, some aura distances are reduced.
-
I use Medium because there you have AA and not so dark shadows
-
Again, proper QA would have catched that.
-
For reference, someone also submitted a bug report on the issue so I won't 😊

In my opinion, it's just ignorance coming straight from the devs. End of story.

I mean, if using the Key automatically pops the Survivor into the Hatch, and the Killer grabbed them out preventing the escape, the Key isn't technically consumed and so the Hatch remains closed. I would imagine. But one can clearly see that FIRST the hatch openes, and according to key description, it should consume the key, and THEN when hatch is FULLY OPEN the survivor attempts to jump through. How else could the hatch be opened in the first place without consuming the key? It's not possible because then you would not even need a key to open it ...
-
And I'm sorry, what do you mean by "officially"? The hatch is either open or closed or do I miss something?
-
@Coriander said:
If opened with a key, it only remains open a short while (unless the regular conditions for hatch are met). I'd imagine that using the key and escaping consumes the key, so if you're grabbed out the hatch wasn't officially opened since no escape was made. And how do you interpret the key description "Can be consumed to open the hatch."?

Not even a SIMPLE end-of-round timer of 1-2 minutes. It would be enough. But apparently they don't care. They mentioned in some streams they are gonna rework end game but they do NOTHING in the meantime?? Almost funny, except it isn't.
-
It's especially a problem on large maps.
-
I just don't understand why survivors get event progression even if they DC.. also I don't understand why killers have to purposefully DC when survivors open exit gates to escape with vessel so no one gets any meaningful amount of points...
-
Yes, the game is broken.
-
Almost every killer is not viable without good / great Addons. Legion is no exception there.
The problem is, when they buff Legion, his ability has no counter to it. That's the only problem I have with him. Incredibly easy to get the hits on the survivor, with no pallet / window stopping him/her. -

I'm extremely new to this game and I'm struggling to comprehend why I get punished if the Host/Killer quits. I just hit Rank 14 and was playing the game after and now I have immediately deranked because we got 2 generators and the killer couldn't find us.Why is this a thing and how is it fair? Is this ever going to be fixed lol???
Usually its a visual bug, but you dont actually lose the pip.
Also you should be aware that ranking up in DBD isnt necessarily good

A "visual" bug like the mori symbol that appears when someone gets sacrificed? When are they gonna fix this...
-
Does this only happen with Ace in the hole?
-
I think it's because of the addons (2 uses without losing key)
-
I just bind it to the F key and very calmly press it every 1/2 second, no struggle at all

-
You know, EAC is a "dumb" program which basically does 3 things:
1) check any running executable on your system if its hash equals a known program on the blacklist, if it does, ban the player
2) run a kernel mode driver in the background preventing any hooks into the running game executable / its used libraries
3) check if any specific in-game values hardcoded by the devs get reached, triggered etc. (e.g. if I have to guess, bloodpoints > 1000000 apart from BP you get from customer support, more than 4 perks equipped, ... )It won't ban you because of a change in this specific USER config file because the exact same file is edited by the game when you change any of your settings (e.g. graphics, audio, ...) so even when the game edits any value, the resulting hash is completely different and thus it is very unreasonable / nearly impossible to generate all possible hashes of every possible option and its values, and this in combination with all other options.
(also keep in mind inside this file, it also saves user-specific settings like screen resolution etc. so in theory creating a database of all possible hashes is impossible because you cannot account for every possible value (users with very strange/uncommon screen resolutions would get banned for nothing, even when not editing the file, simple as that...)Btw. ... a friend told me all this information

Stay safe out there.

I have few words.
Of course, there had to be someone who mentions this.... as expected xD
For every good thing you mention, most people can acutally counter it with 2 or more bad things in the game -
In my opinion, 360ing abuses the P2P latency. Sometimes, when I hit, I am right on them ON MY SCREEN but on theirs, they just started a 360 and thus the hitbox is suddenly not there, resulting in a miss, sometimes even without lunge attack. Sometimes you chainsaw THROUGH them (had multiple instances), just like you previously chainsawed the pallet and not the sliding survivor instead / in addition. With huntress, it's particularly bad (throwing the hatchet through them while they just spin in a circle, I watched my recording in slow motion). Also, imo changing directions rapidly should result in a slowdown of the survivor, just like in other games (look at the physics in GTA5 f.ex.).
-
Try all the suggestions from the Master fixes guide
-
Oops I forgot to mention I use stake out too. So an AUTODIDACT skillcheck (I know how it looks) consumes a stake out token if you don't know @TreblucFayle . It then makes the great skillcheck sound and every time gives + 2%, even with full tokens?? Why?

The only point of getting then is to be special! No the point is to get a cool skin. You're not special just because you played in a certain period of the year.
Of course you want to get a skin to look / feel special. That's the whole point. Why get a skin that is not special? You want to show it to other players / want other players to see it, like legacy. Would they sell legacy? Hell no, because it's special. That's also why most of the players don't buy the standard skins (which just change cloth color, etc.) because it has no value to it.

I feel like it's better that they are available forever. I also find it strange that the only reason you want them is because they're special. Surely you'd want them because, you know, you like the look of them.As a killer, you don't even see your own skin in-game (besides weapon). Why would you get it? To see it in the game menu? Cmon... Of course you want other people to see that you got a special skin because you want to set yourself apart from all the other players which just run the standard skins.
If you just buy a killer skin because it is 'nice', what's the point? Everyone can do it. Special skins, not everyone has them.I'll never understand this logic. I grinded for the Wax Warlord skin because I think it makes the Wraith a lot cooler and when I start a match/when I see part of the body during animations I can admire it. I highly doubt anyone would think I'm special because of some digital stuff. If you want to feel special achieve something real in life, this is just a game.
Feel special in real life? ######### are you talking about xD I play DBD because of the horror scenarios and the brutality + somewhat strategic gameplay. If I had that IRL I would not play DBD, as everyone else.
You also just admired a digital skin, completely throwing you whole argument under the table. -

It's a virtual set of clothes for virtual characters in a virtual world. If you cannot get it (although two weeks is plenty), well... I think you'll still do fine.Congratulations, you just completely ignored / not read at all the OP's post....
-
Of course this was a purely strategic desicion to make more profit.
- If they really wanted the outfits to be 'rare', they would allow only to get one for free (as it is right now) and then, after the event, completely remove them from the store.
- If they don't care about rarity, allow everyone to get all of them for free during the event by grinding and after the event, continue selling them in the store.
As it is right now, we have the bad of both worlds. And they know it. That's why they did it.

The cosmetics cost 10$ each. That's two hours of work for me, with taxes accounted for. I can't use this money on food, on phone bills, on internet, on other games or on rent. I have bought every DLC and I actually think the packs like Bloodstained Sack had a 'fair' value to them-- 3$ for 8 cosmetic items that are actually nice to look at? I feel like .20 is definitely fair for a cosmetic. 3$ per cosmetic part, 10$ for a whole outfit? It's really not fair. Not to mention that two outfits cost like a base game...
Could not agree more.

Seconded. We all see a lot of survivors crying "it's bannable" for completely ok things, tools that are intended and that are there to help you achieve your goals. Bodyblocking is one such tool.
Just ignore him.(Out of curiuosity: how did you manage to hit him TWICE @Snapshot ? With bodyblocking, it just works one time, I mean with the speed burst on hit comes a no collision effect, similar to Dead Hard.)
I wondered too, but with nurse, maybe it's different? Don't know

Nothing against you, but I noticed you recently being very pessimistic. Please be happy that people discuss these problems here on the forum, as this exact thing (survivors body blocking Freddy outside dreamworld) happened to me like 8 out of 10 times recently

At what rank?

You just gave me an idea.... might wanna try this with a slugging build
believe it or not, rank 3 to 1. Just depends on how fast they find the totem so dont use ruin

So let's say you have 2 tokens, something happens, initiated by a survivor, and you now only have 1 token. For example with Thrill of the Hunt, cleansing a dull totem removes one token without destroying the perk itself
I'm curious

(Spoiler)
It isn't a Hex
but isn't it similar to Thanaphobia where you lose stacks when a survivor is elimanted from the trial? Would it apply?
It is, sir

Hex The Third Seal, if a survivor DCs, gets sacrificed, gets mori'd, or escapes. The hex will lose tokens depending on the amount of survivors that left and etc.
that was fast, at least give em' a chance

-
To be fair, I went through a lot of situations, where the ability to try escape attempts as last surivior would have saved me (hook next to door, hook next to hatch, having sprint burst / dead hard available) and also, do not forget, with ADRENALINE you can make it pretty far, almost always to the escape.
So I think they should let the survivor try to escape, but skip the second struggle phase -
Also, please keep in mind that lag switching is only a temporary ban...

You cannot prove it, only chance is an automatic ban by EAC.
EAC doesnt detect laggswitching, the devs have to bann manually for that
ridiculous. how can they even name it an anti-cheat.... "easy", yes maybe the implementation work for the devs
They name it that because it detects cheats.
sometimes, yes, most of the times no
also, "cheats" do not need to be 3rd party programs /software
