  • I tunnel most of the time. The injured Survivor is an easier target and closer to death. The only times I don't tunnel is if the Survivor is decent at looping, I don't see the injured Survivor, or it's early in the game and I need to get my BBQ stacks. Sometimes I will tunnel if someone tries to bodyblock the injured Survivor because it can be funny to imagine their reaction when I continue tunneling. If I can get around the bodyblocker or if they go to a good looping spot after I hit them, then I'll stop chasing them. If I think can down the bodyblocker sooner, then I'll stop tunneling and go after them.

  • Because Survivors need their Hatch escapes.

dying light is fine, just bring an ivory mori

You shouldn't have to bring a Mori for a perk to work though.

  • That’s probably a typo. There is something else wrong with the perk though, and that’s the massive stun range. You can get stunned when you are 20 feet away from the locker. I saw Monto get stunned when he was standing at the window in the Killer shack and he wasn’t close to the locker at all.

Best add ons for spirit? I preffer bloody hair brooch and rusty flute.

Tie between the Yakuyoke Amulet+Prayer Beads combo and the Wakizashi Saya+Katana Tsuba combo. You either have faster phase speed, during, and recovery plus the potential for surprise grabs or you have a longer speed boost after you stop phasing.

  • As a Survivor: a few seconds. I never enter one for a long time as a Survivor because I just go finish the gens.

As a Killer: 20 minutes. However I thought it was boring as hell and now I just try to outsmart the Survivor.

  • Wait Chaser is bugged? What's wrong with it?

The Emblem system has always been dumb in my opinion because it encourages you to give the opposing side a decent chance to win and punishes you for playing efficiently. The pip and Emblem changes implemented in this PTB just make it even dumber. I'm really hoping both of them do not see the light of day.

  • Yeah, this change is dumb and easily exploitable by salty Survivors. I'm hoping that it stays in the PTB.

Because supposed "high ranks" are full of awful players who should be playing with other less skilled players.

Also, it's the other way around: You shouldn't give out a reward for something that isn't worth rewarding. Until reaching R1 is a challenge there shouldn't be an incentive to do it, because plenty people will hit it anyway whether they're trying to or not.

Then just release the rewards and ranking changes at the same time.

Also, these changes will just make red ranks sweatier than they are now. More and more players will only be using meta strategies, Killers, perks, items, and add-ons just to stay at the red ranks because of it being harder to pip and double pip there. If you think variety is bad now, these changes will make it even worse.

This is the same case for survivors who saved it on the pre-rework version...

At least with current DS you have a chance to get them to the hook before you drop them. The new DS has the skill check appear while you're picking a Survivor up and the skill check is bigger than a normal one, meaning the Survivor can break free before you start moving.

  • Yeah I was starting to think about this. With how easy it is to make a Survivor salty, they can just DC or suicide and deny the Killer points out of spite. Reaching a new stage should definitely count otherwise the Killer is being punished for preventing an unhook.

  • At first I thought it was a great fix, but now I'm starting to see some problems, like it'll make the end game almost a guaranteed escape for Survivors (I think new DS+BT during the end game will too much).

The timer is too long and it will activate no matter where the Killer is. It's not as hard as you think to down the unhooked Survivor in less than 60 seconds. You're basically being punished for doing your job, even if you're all the way across the map. The timer should be reduced to 20/30/40 seconds and you should have to be within a certain distance of the hook (probably somewhere between 16 and 32 meters) for the perk to activate.

The perk can also make the end game much easier for Survivors. They can easily hook rush without punishment and deny the Killer of a kill. DS should either cause exhaustion to kill any DH/BL/Lithe/SB combos during the end game or make it harder to use after the gates are powered or the Hatch has opened.

Oh god, survs are going to whine again

I think tiers 1 and 2 of Ruin and BBQ also got buffed. They're going to lose their minds.

  • There's some pretty interesting changes here. I don't think I like the ranking changes though. Why should it be harder to reach the red ranks if there's no good incentive to do so? They shouldn't be added to the game until there is a good reason to reach the red ranks.

  • Seven or eight is too much. I think six would be good.

  • DS needs to ######### destroy the Killer, their computer, and account completely.

  • Not unless you want to get banned. Just go AFK and do something else for four minutes. Of course don't let your screen out of your sight so you can continue playing if you get revived.

  • Use her pink clothing. Killers will never see you.

  • It feels like the Survivor hitbox grows and shrinks randomly, even with good ping. As Survivor I get hit even when it looks like I shouldn't have and when I'm Killer, I miss hits that look like they would've connected. It's so frustrating!

  • @KingB said:
It's a "special" stream because they are going to announce the new end-game changes. 😀

Man I hope so. The new DS is balanced for the early and mid game, but becomes broken in the end game. Maybe 2.6.0 is going to bring a new Killer, Survivor, map, and a revamped end game (Hatch included).

  • @Chaotic_Riddle said:
The map is suppose to make it difficult for Killers, but not impossible. Just like how The Game is difficult for Survivors, everyone needs a map that challenges themselves! Just keep playing and I’m sure you’ll get better, man! We’re always here to give you suggestions and help out. :chuffed:

How is The Game still difficult for Survivors? It's got a lot of safe pallets that make up for the terror radius extending to both floors.

Letting yourself die on the hook

Killing yourself on the hook, as a survivor, is a big deal to your team.
However, it is part of the game and we are not going to punish for it.

    Disconnections

As stated multiple times before, we have a system that takes care of disconnections.
We know it is far from perfect but it is the best we can do with the information and the type of network / hosting the game is allowing (Peer to Peer). Hopefully the arrival of Dedicated Servers will allow us to tighten the rules on Disconnection.

The current system: After a player disconnects more than a certain percentage of their games over a definite period of time, they get a temporary ban. Multiple temporary bans can lead to a permanent ban. If they have not played more than a certain number of games, they will not be punished. The numbers are kept secret to avoid exploiting.

Unless your a streamer ? Pug disconnects on almost all nurse games but yet he is invited to the studio ? :(

If I had to guess, I would say it's because of money. Streamers get money from Twitch and/or YouTube, meaning that they can (and a lot of them do) buy more Auric Cells. They also get more people to buy the game. Banning the streamer would decrease the amount of money BHVR earned. Why else did it take so long to try to fix DS and the pallet vacuum? Why do review bombs seem to scare the devs into changing things so easily?

  • Since the free trial that lasted from September 15th-17th (or 18th, I can't remember when it ended), 2017. It was enough to instantly hook me and I bought the game a few weeks after the trial ended.

  • No wonder my games have had rank 13-15 Survivors in them when I'm in ranks 8-9. I think it's kind of obvious that there are issues that still need to be fixed because of how extreme some of these cases are. Brown rank Survivors getting matched with red rank Killers and vice versa is insane. That's one way to convince newbies to drop the game.

  • They think they're so good that no one can kill/escape from them and when someone does, they can't handle it and blow up.

  • Oh boy! New chapter incoming!

  • @Eveline said:
I won't give them what they want. -.-

So you'll stay in a game for hours just to prevent someone from deranking? Definitely a you problem.

If being carried by the Killer counts towards the Evader and Unbroken emblems, then they'll safety pip anyways. Iridescent Evader plus a Silver Unbroken will result in a safety pip. After ten minutes you're just wasting your time.

  • @Eveline said:
    Because I won't hook them?

Then that's a you problem. Sorry, but you'll just have to hook them.

  • You already had your chance to escape (two chances with the Hatch). You don't deserve any more chances. Too bad if the Killer managed to outplay you or you made some mistakes. Accept your death and move on to the next game.

Also Survivors used to not die instantly but then they would just let the sacrifice play out because they were pissed at the Killer.

We need specific where did you get that info from

    He made them up.

  • This sounds pretty good. It would get rid of the stupid 30 second timer and make the perk work on non-high mobility Killers.

  • Doctor. He's a mid tier Killer with some good perks and is really fun to play as. His laughs are also godly.

  • I'd say Doctor and maybe Myers. I'd like to get better with Spirit, Billy, and Hag in the future.

  • She had problems in the PTB, but they thankfully got fixed quickly and she's now a pretty good Killer.

Remember when the SJWs came back to complain about her School Spirit outifts when they were released?

  • Sounds like you just lost a game against her and you're just blowing off steam, but if you really believe she's broken, then just remember that Hag can't lunge after she teleports for a few seconds. Use that to your advantage.

Probably because most survivors have huge stockpiles of items from BloodWebs and the new Chests. God I wish the killer add ons I use regularly were as abundant so i could stick to a build i like.

The winter bloodwebs for Killers should have stayed like how the increased item rarity from chests did, but I wouldn't be surprised if Survivors whined their asses off and review bombed the game until the Killer bloodwebs were reverted back to normal.

Or as most survivors do they're trying to actually survive and use those items they've spent their HARD EARNED bloodpoints on. They're not trying to use some made up excuse so that killers can dodge because they want a farming simulator.

You're right, I only took the toxic Survivors into consideration here. I should've also included the nontoxic ones.

  • What? Pig and Doc as low tier and Leatherface as mid tier? Their positions should be switched. Leatherface's chainsaw is easy to dodge and requires him to be right on top of the Survivor to do anything. At any other distance, he's a powerless Killer. At least Doc and Pig have some way to try and stop pallet drops and vaults. Once you get the timings right for Doc, you can use his stun effectively most of the time. As for their perks, Monitor and Abuse is a very good perk (especially on stealth Killers, you can easily sneak up on Survivors), Overcharge can catch Survivors off guard and make tapping the gen after you kicked it dangerous, and Surveillance is now one of the best gen defense perks in the game (far from "isn't that bad anymore").

  • They've been bugged for months now and probably put on the "Killer issues we'll fix in about a year or two" list.

Hint: Cancer if ruin is there

    The Game?

My hint: Killers can do something cool.

  • You do realize this will be a pretty major nerf to Doctor and perks that affect the TR like Unnerving and Overwhelming Presence and Coulrophobia, right?

  • Pinky Finger and Iridescent Head+Infantry Belt combo: You still need skill to hit the Survivor. Otherwise, the add-ons are useless.

Moris: They have a requirement for them to activate.

NOED: Just. Cleanse. Totems. Stop. Rushing. Gens.

Fragrant Tuft of Hair and Judith's Tombstone: Both of these add-ons have weaknesses that balance them out. They are hard to use against decent Survivors because both have a 200% increase to evil needed to reach tier 3. Tombstone is harder because it also has decreased movement speed and kinda requires a certain build. If he gets to tier 3, then someone was either bad and fed Michael or they made a mistake and he capitalized on it. Running them together makes it even harder to get to tier 3 and almost always requires a certain build. If Michael manages to reach tier 3 before 3-5 gens are done, then you guys either made some serious mistakes or at least two Survivors are bad and fed Michael.

  • Their tears are delicious. Now they'll have to actually try to get good instead of relying on a perk. A certain streamer and his fans are probably losing their minds right now.

  • Seems like a good rework. I have some questions about it though.

    1. Will Doctor's Madness still affect the DS skill check and make it appear in a random place? If not, then why?
    2. What will a DS skill check affected by Unnerving Presence look like post-rework?
    3. Will DS activate when the Survivor is grabbed (like from the Hatch, unhooking, or vaulting)? I can easily see hook rushing with multiple Survivors on the hook becoming a problem for the Killer.
  • Because of ######### totem spawns.

You can’t de-rank below rank 15 anyhow so rank 20-16 should be a safe zone for new players?

You can also get below Rank 15 by DCing.

You can't. I tried that back in 2.1.0 when the rank reset changes were introduced and I did not go past rank 15, 0 pips. My rank just stayed there when I disconnected.

  • We're going to need some recent examples here. All you're saying is that Killer mains are bullies. Whenever some disagrees, you just include them into the group of "bullies" without any reason. This thread just feels like an echo chamber to me.
