The ds buff is good against tunnelers? You hate it? Dont tunnel the same guy, get good. And mettle (my personal opinion) for me its a counter for all the toxicity i get.
When did I mention anything about the current DS? I was talking about the perk before it got nerfed. I used to not like the change, but after playing against it and thinking about it, I decided that I actually liked it.
You cannot prevent MoM from activating. Not tunneling won't solve that. I also seriously doubt you get that much toxicity, unless you're doing something to provoke them. It also seems like at least a portion of your skill comes from using a broken perk and the game becomes unplayable whenever you go up against a Killer that counters it.
-
- M1 Killers have basically no way to prevent it from activating without a perk, Mori, or add-on (even then, some Killers don't have an instadown add-on).
- Survivors are rewarded for failure. Oh, did you not drop the pallet or vault at the right time? No worries, you won't go down because Mettle of Man gives you a ######### free third health state.
- Survivors can heal to 99% to negate the aura reading.
-
Yes, let's fix a perk that rewards Survivors for failure instead of reworking it. You know, I actually thought that the Survivors weren't going to control this game anymore after 2.1.0 was released. Guess I was wrong, because now we have two new OP perks that are as strong or stronger than pre-2.6.0 DS. Is it really that hard for Survivors to stop relying on broken perks and get good?
-
I'm going to try to stay. I already don't play it that much, but DbD is still a fun game. Mortal Kombat 11 is going to be a really good game though. I played the stress test and the closed beta and I cannot wait for the full release, so I might end up dropping DbD temporarily to play MK.

This is not even close to Howling Grounds-levels of bad.
What was so bad about Howling Grounds? I only remember the pallet/flashlight save change that was quickly reverted.
-
I was thinking about changing it to where the Killer's weapon either goes through the Survivor or acts like it hit an object. The Survivor would glow for about a second or two to tell the Killer that MoM activated and that the hitboxes didn't mess up. The aura reading would either stop at 40 meters or it would be removed completely. As for fixing Survivors healing to 99%, I'm not sure if I would prevent the Survivor from healing for a few seconds after MoM activates or not let the Survivor reach a certain percentage while healing when the perk is ready to activate.
-
Unfortunately, Thana seems to be something that the devs want to kill. I mean, why else would they nerf it after deciding not to implement the PTB changes? A 1% increase at tier 3 with four stacks and everything else is decreased by 1-2% or is the same as before is not a buff. That is a nerf. What was so hard about just not touching the perk after reverting the PTB changes?
-
I'm not really surprised. Too many Survivors are having withdrawals (even though they are the same people who said that Enduring was a counter to the old DS) and the devs gave in. We just got Mettle of Man and Flip Flop, two perks that are reaching the level of the old DS.
-
It was probably an April Fools joke. If it ends up not being a joke, then I'd hope that insta heals and keys also get reworked.

I always wonder why the Clown seem consistently placed higher than the others base stats M1 killers on theses lists. And also why the Cannibal is rated so low despite having an insta-down attack that can hit multiple targets.
Clown can slow the Survivors down with his power. Leatherface's power is only really useful out in the open.
-
They'd probably end up nerfing NOED then.
-
Adding Clementine would be pretty cool. She just needs to be aged up a little bit. What would the Killer be though? Would we just get a walker or would she be a standalone DLC?
-
It's the same as my PSN and XBL name. The "SnakeSound" part came from an incident in 8th grade where a baby snake was in my classroom and most of the girls were freaking out about it, so I started making snake sounds to mess with them. My friends gave me the nickname a few days later. "222" came from a fake phone number I made up for a school project.
-
I think Flip-Flop and Mettle of Man are going to be too strong. Mettle of Man is basically a free third health state and Flip-Flop makes escaping the Killer's grasp much easier than it should be. We just fixed DS and now we're seeing two perks that could be just as strong, if not stronger, than the old DS.
Aside from those two perks, I'm pretty hyped. I really like the Buckle Up perk because it'll tell me if I should stop hiding or repairing a gen to heal a Survivor or not. I think it should be baseline because it'll help give solo Survivors more information without having to resort to SWF.
-
I've always thought that it was dumb that a Survivor could DC to give a teammate the Hatch. Making the Hatch not open when a Survivor DCs would force the hiding Survivor to do something like work on a gen or try to heal the slugged Survivor. To prevent the last Survivor from getting salty and just taking the game hostage by just crouching around the map, the Killer would receive permanent aura reading at an unlimited range after some time has passed with the Survivor not trying to escape. Survivors will be forced to repair a gen or die once the Killer's aura reading activates. No more crouching around the map because "waaaah this Killer is actually trying to do his job".

Please tell me that was sarcasm.
It's that, he's baiting, or he's just a really entitled player. He is the same guy who thinks that Survivors shouldn't be able to run.
-
Did you record it? If you did, then can you post the video here so we can see it? A good way to tell if a Survivor has a key is if their right hand is holding something but you can't see what it is. Winter Party Starters are around the same size of a key but have brighter colors, so it's easier to see them. If you can't really see anything in the Survivor's hand, then it's most likely a key.
-
Legion because of their moonwalk "strategy".

How is it fair that a survivor can run nonstop
This has got to be a joke. You realize how slow Survivors walk, right?
-
The pipping and Emblem changes should've gone with it. Heck, they shouldn’t have gotten past the PTB. This way, players who managed to make it to the red ranks with the current pipping system won’t have to experience abysmal queue times and the rest of us can actually make it there and earn the Adept Killer achievements.
Does this also mean we can now tell if Survivors are SWF or not from the lobby again?
-
I don’t think it’s really surprising though. Survivors played with their Decisive Crutch for so long and now they can’t stand it having a hard counter in Enduring and not being a guaranteed free escape.

Wanting my perk to work is not at all comparable to someone saying the worst killer is fine
...it does work though. The skill check pops up and if you hit it, you get out of the Killer’s grasp. If you miss it, then the perk is deactivated. Sorry that people are trying to counter it and you aren’t able to use it to it’s full potential every game.
-
It's probably because DCing now ######### over the Killer's Devout emblem. I won't be surprised if entitled Survivors start calling DCing a strategy now.
-
Self Care or No Mither.
-
I’m not sure about Fire Up but I think Thana was actually nerfed.
-
Oh no, DS now has a guaranteed counter! I can’t use my crutch perk anymore!
-
They really are. I'm shocked the changes actually made it in. No game dev should try to force their players to play a certain way. I'm hoping that enough players make it known that this system sucks or the game starts losing enough players to where the devs are forced to revert the changes just to bring them back. I can easily see newer players dropping the game because they keep getting matched with players way above their skill level due to the crappy ranking system.
-
I really hope Flip Flop and Mettle of Man are just ideas that never make it to the PTB. Those perks would be insanely OP. They're basically like the old DS.

Welp, another shadownerf to add to the list.
BTW, she was always meme tier. You can clearly hear her footsteps when she's phasing.
Are you using military grade headphones? I’ve never heard her footsteps when she’s phasing. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone say that they hear Spirit’s footsteps while phasing.
Also, is any Killer not named Nurse or even Billy meme tier to you?

She used to be superior to Nurse, your facing bad ones.
Superior to Nurse? I always saw Spirit as slightly weaker than Nurse because you can’t phase walk through a wall or pallet.
-
99% chance it’s a text error unfortunately. The devs really want to kill Thanatophobia.
-
Please let this ######### be a bug. Spirit is one of the most balanced Killers in the game. She doesn’t need any ######### nerfs.
-
It's most likely the description from the PTB. Unfortunately, the devs want to kill the perk. They nerfed it and are trying to pass it off as a "buff". A 1% increase when four Survivors are injured does not make up for the nerfs to the other parts of the perk at all.

A good killer will always face an object while picking up a survivor and they know there's a flashlight in the lobby.
I actually do that even if I don't see a flashlight in the lobby just in case someone searched a chest.

Nerfing Plague and Freddy
Not reworking Freddy by December 2018
1.9.2
Curtain Call/patch 2.0.0/Auric Cells on console
Buffing Thana and then nerfing it (it's actually worse than before)
-
Billy and Spirit.
-
This change is just going to make games worse on the Killer side. Now they have no way to prepare to SWF. I wouldn't be surprised if more DCs happen because Killers don't like playing against multiple sweaty 4-man SWFs in a row. I'm not really surprised though, gotta keep the entitled Ochiduds happy somehow.
-
Unfortunately, this thread is most likely going to be locked because "muh streamerz" and "muh dollarz". Just because you broadcast yourself playing this game to the world shouldn't mean that you get to do almost anything you want and not get punished. Not only are those people giving others the wrong idea of how the game is supposed to be played, but they're also worsening the image of streamers for this game.
-
110% would kill Billy. Looping is his biggest weakness. All of the 110% Killers have a power that counters looping in some way. Billy’s does not. He’s one of the most balanced Killers in the game and doesn’t need any major changes.
-
The fog ones can definitely go. Screw the super-ultra immersed Survivors. Sorry, but you can’t stay invisible.
The shrouds should be reworked unless the devs just can’t fix the main problems. Then they can be retired from public matches.

I'm done :D got all the trophies in time for the next chapter!
For evil incarnate just camp a 3 gen strat and don't chase away from it. If you get lucky the hatch will spawn on your end of the map too. I did it against red ranks and no one DC'd. Took Dying Light, Play with Your Food, Spies from the Shadows and Tinkerer. Would have changed Tinkerer for surveillance if I had it.
I always thought adept nurse and where did they go? were going to be the hardest to get, but I got them much quicker than some of the last few. Skilled huntress was the longest to get.
Looking forward to having to down 50-100 people with the upgraded vomit and locker stunning 50 killers lol.

I just got my last achievement yesterday lol.
How did you guys get From the void she kills (Blink 3 times and grab a Survivor)? That one seems like it's going to be the hardest for me.
-
You're ruining the game for your teammates by DCing and risking a ban.
Billy's actually pretty easy to loop because of his chainsaw's steering. You just have to keep turning until he goes past you. Staying near objects will encourage him to M1 instead of using the chainsaw.
-
They really don't lol. This is just how Killers used to be treated. Survivors used to have OP mechanics, perks, items, and add-ons and now they're either gone or starting to receive nerfs. Some examples are that flashlights used to have instablind add-ons, Brand New Part used to instantly repair a gen, DS used to not have an Obsession mechanic and everyone could use it instantly, you couldn't kick a gen, gens were completed in 60 seconds instead of 80, double pallet loops and infinites were pretty common, and pallet vacuums were a thing (you didn't have to be on one side of the pallet to drop it, the game would just pull you to the other side). The devs are now actually trying to balance the game.
Also, it sounds like you're playing against low ranks or boosted Survivors. You should try playing against decent Survivors for a couple of seasons.
-
As an fan of the Alien and Predator franchises, I would love this and a Predator chapter so much.
-
Did you think about this at all or are you trying to bait us? On the off chance that this is not bait, then those three seconds of Sprint Burst would be useless if the Survivor cannot run at all. The Killer will quickly catch up to the defenseless Survivor and hook them. This will also make other Exhaustion perks worthless.
-
Survivor: We'll Make It (might switch it out for Dead Hard, however I really like being able to quickly heal other Survivors), Botany Knowledge, Self Care, Urban Evasion
Doctor: BBQ, Distressing, Unnerving, Overcharge
Myers: Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's, M&A
Spirit: Nurse's, Haunted Ground, BBQ, Whispers (not my final build, it's just what I have right now)
Billy: Whispers, BBQ, Devour Hope (might switch it out for PGTW), Nurse's
Hag: BBQ, MYC, M&A, Nurse's

Lol yeah, I only stocked up on 5 of each whilst trying to get decent perks but my add ons weren't even getting consumed yesterday for some reason, so even if it did take more than 1 try, I wouldn't have lost them
I'm still stocking on mine. I'm at five Tufts of Hair, three tombstones, and at least two Black Wards. I'm not sure if I should wait until everyone ranks back up (today is rank reset day) or derank to yellow ranks (if I do, then I'm not sure if I should just DC and risk getting closer to a ban or just go AFK in a corner) and go for the trophy. I was thinking about taking Ruin (a way to slow the game down without using up my PWYF stacks), PWYF (to make up for the decreased movement speed and Moris do not consume a token for that perk), Whispers (find hiding Survivors easier), and M&A (it'll be harder for them to know when I'm coming and it could be easier to hide while stalking the Survivors).
Also, is Adept David still bugged? I heard that the requirements weren't always the same. I've heard of people having to get David to level 20 (like before patch 2.0.0), use an item with one, two, or no add-ons, only use an offering, only use his three perks (no items or offerings at all), or they just happened to get it while playing normally.
-
I agree with the Killer Instinct part being dumb. It should just be changed to where you only have to down 25 Survivors with Feral Frenzy active, no Killer Instinct required.
-
I’d like to see Lord Doctor in other games.
-
You should report all of their messages if you can. You might get their accounts permanently banned.
