  • So do I. I don't even run to a corner. I'll try to hide behind something and heal up. If I can't find anyone or they don't want to heal me (mainly this) and SB and Thana are active, then I'll just take the time to heal. I don't like running around as a weaker target and if you refuse to heal me, then that gen you're on can wait until I heal up.

  • I use Ruin, BBQ, NC, and Monitor. Bamboozle, Enduring, and Spirit Fury can also work really good on Myers because of his increased vault speed and lunge in tier 3.

  • @ColgateAdvancedWhite said:

    Remove the stacking and increase the baseline mend time to 60 seconds. 80 and 100 for the blades, stacking to 120 if both are used.

    @ColgateAdvancedWhite

    So basically make this game even more of an M1 simulator? Holding down M1 for 80 seconds is already boring enough. Have you even played Survivor at all?

  • @ClogWench

    Take Doc out of that list and put Leatherface in his spot please. At least Doc can actually do something at loops and make an attempt to trick the Survivor. Leatherface might as well be a 115% powerless Killer when not out in the open. I'd say Legion is the worst Killer because they're basically a 110% M1 Killer with a power that takes 3-4 hits to down.

  • I'd like to ask about buffing Doctor's shock therapy, even if it ends up being a vague answer. Its base range is too short and the stun doesn't always apply when it should.

  • No they're not. They gave us Discordance. We also got Mad Grit and Iron Maiden but they aren't nearly as useful as Discordance is.

  • "waaa i can't teabag at the gates with my item waaaa"

    Just run out when the Killer starts getting close if you love your item that much. Sorry that you can't teabag. :)

  • Darkness Among Us is easily the best. I'd love an option to change my menu music back to that.

    I don't really hate any of the DbD main menu themes.

  • It's not that we don't care (I ######### hate this new ranking system and want it removed ASAP), but the devs are trying to force us to play a specific way instead of allowing us to choose our playstyle.

  • The game needs some major balance changes first. Killers don't want to play a game with a group that is likely to be a 4-man SWF or with players who bring in 2 or more toolboxes because they don't want to get genrushed. Flashlights are more annoying than powerful. Yes, having Survivors bring in 3-4 flashlights means they will not be doing gens, but it's pretty annoying to have multiple Survivors clicking their flashlight back to back so they dodge.

  • I would. I think it basically reverts the healing nerf (healing another Survivor takes around 12 seconds and SC takes around 24). I always try to take Self Care and a medkit with it too so I can heal everyone (including myself) faster.

  • No. You already had your chance to escape. The Killer caught you and now the game’s over. It doesn’t need to be dragged on. Free second chances are bad for this game's health. It's too bad if you can't use your DS, Deliverance, Mettle of Man, or Dead Hard. The Survivor should just receive the full struggle points while they're being killed. You also have think of when you aren’t going to be in that situation. The Survivor would just let the sacrifice play out and waste two minutes of the Killer’s time.

  • They either shouldn’t ban for the Blade exploit or just temporarily remove them until they’re fixed. It’s not fair for someone who didn’t know or forgot about it to get banned. Besides, nobody will believe messages saying that the add-ons are bannable. They’ll just think it’s salt.

  • S: Nurse

    A: Spirit, Billy, Hag, Huntress

    B: Clown, Doctor, Myers, Pig

    C: Freddy, Wraith, Trapper

    D: Plague, Leatherface

    F: Legion

  • Perks: Ruin, Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury, BBQ, Whispers, Nurse's, Devour Hope, and Pop Goes The Weasel (edit: add Discordance, Monitor and Abuse, Make Your Choice, and Surveillance)

    Add-ons: Carburetor Tuning Guide, Primer Bulb, Thompson's Mix, Begrimed Chains, Long Guide Bar, Doom Engravings, Death Engravings, Spiked Boots, and Thompson's Moonshine

    Perk combos (these are just a couple of combos that I quickly thought up):

    BBQ, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Bamboozle/Ruin

    Whispers, BBQ, Devour/PGTW, Nurse's (this is the build I use when I play Billy)

    Ruin, PGTW, Enduring, Spirit Fury

    Discordance, Surveillance, Ruin/Monitor and Abuse, PGTW

    No

    You can't lose points. Also if you break staff you gain points. It's camping that descrease the bps you will get.

    Are you new to the game?

    @Grandkurama

    He's talking about the Chaser penalty. He wants to know if it'll activate if he's breaking pallets and kicking gens that are within 16 meters of the hook.

    @pemberley

    I think it will. The game will think that you're camping just because you're within 16 meters of the hook and nobody is nearby, even though you're breaking pallets and kicking gens.

  • I agree. She is a bottom 3 Killer. Only Leatherface and Legion are worse than Plague.

    Yeah, she can quickly put a Survivor in the Broken state, but after that she becomes a powerless 115% Killer who can easily be looped. Corrupt Purge is strong but if you hide from her when it's active, she won't be able to use it. The Survivors can also get a free instaheal by cleansing the sickness. I'm trying to get her Adept but it's extremely difficult due to how bad she is and she only has one good perk. Infectious Fright tells you that someone's nearby and can possibly give you an extra down (however I think it should show auras instead of just showing the location). Survivors will just hide while Corrupt Intervention is active and Dark Devotion can easily be avoided by looking around and listening for the Killer's breathing. Her nerfs and the requirements for the Adept Killer achievements need to be undone. She was hit too hard by the nerfs. Getting Merciless with her and the new ranking system is nearly impossible in the current build. I actually managed to get really close to Merciless one time, only to be screwed over because she has nothing against gen rush and the pip system is steaming garbage (I had Silver Gatekeeper, the other three Emblems were Iridescent).

  • @CornChip said:

    No, Its already boring enough facing the same perks every game.. Lets not force the last remaining people who don't use bbq to use it every single game.. The meta is stale enough already

    @CornChip

    This is just a QoL change. Not a buff, not a nerf. I seriously doubt that more people are going to use BBQ just because of this change. I think you’re overreacting, unless you like to DC to deny Killers their BBQ stack.

    I like seeing the answers to the NOED question, much more wholesome than i thought it would be

    @Mat_Sella

    Really? When I answered, there was about five answers there (not including mine), and most of them were along the lines of "it's a toxic crutch". I think mine was like the second positive answer about NOED at the time. I had put down that it was balanced and had a counter in destroying dull totems.

  • This would be nice, especially in KYF. In public games, people who want to camp won't let an Emblem penalty stop them. Telling them when they're losing points wouldn't increase the amount of campers as much as people think it will.

  • Yes so much. I would’ve thought that this would’ve been included when the perks first came out. It’s not right that we can easily be robbed of 25% extra BP because someone got salty and DCed.

    @Aven_Fallen I think it’s comparable to DS because they get a free immune hit after just being hit by the 3 basic attacks.

    its like the downgraded version of DS to me and obviously the most toxic players are going to run it.

    Tbh, I don’t really have a problem with it but with all these complaints going on about it, it’s bound to nerfed.

    I think MoM is worse than the old DS because you had a chance to prevent DS from activating no matter what (missing the skill check or being lucky enough to have a hook nearby) with all Killers. MoM cannot be stopped from activating unless the Survivors do not unhook or kill themseleves on the hook.

    I think the two biggest problems with MoM is that it still acts like the Killer hit you and that you can heal to 99% and then heal yourself back to healthy. Here is what I would do to fix them:

    1. The Killer’s weapon would either go through the Survivor or act like it hit an object.

    2.The Survivor cannot heal past a certain percentage while the perk is active and all of the healing progress is lost after the perk is used up.

  • What about the new Survivors though? Barely getting anything done because they can't hit great skill checks would probably end up chasing them away.

    Myers second worst killer? What game are you playing?

    A doctor main thinks doctors is not bad. No surprise to me tho

    @HavelmomDaS1

    Myers is definitely at least a mid tier Killer.

    I'd like to know why you think Doctor is anywhere close to being the worst Killer in the game.

  • These guys make up 70% the playerbase unfortunately and bullying Killers is what makes them happy. I think it’ll a long time before we see some serious fixes to this problem.

  • I’d say Leatherface after Legion gets their reworks.

    @HavelmomDaS1 said:

    Freddy, but Trapper or doctor will probably take his place after the rework.

    @HavelmomDaS1

    Lol at Doctor being anywhere near worst Killer in the game. He’s actually a mid tier Killer who can easily find Survivors and prevent them from vaulting/dropping a pallet so he can get an easy hit in.

  • I’m just hoping the Hatch isn’t a free escape for Survivors anymore.

  • @not_Queen @Peanits

    Will the Legion mend bug be fixed? Having to hold a single button down for 5+ minutes isn't fun at all.

  • The End Game Collapse sounds really cool. I'm hoping the Hatch is fixed to where it's not as Survivor sided as it is today.

    I also hope that the Spirit bug, Legion mend bug and wiggle bug are fixed and the Doctor's shock stun timing is fixed (I think it was a bug that came either when medium vaults were introduced or when you had to run for two seconds in order for a fast vault to activate, but the stun that comes from Doc's shock hitting you sometimes won't apply until after a Survivor has vaulted, even if you shocked them before they started to vault).

  • Congratulations, you had one good match as Plague. It means nothing.

    Also Myers and Plague are nowhere near top tier because both of them can easily be looped. Myers can also be starved of EW. Heck Plague is basically a slightly better version of LF because after she makes you broken, she becomes a powerless 115% Killer. You can avoid her Corrupt Purge by hiding until it goes away.

    Agreed that he is fun to play as but I have a horrible time going against Doctor, not because he is strong but simply annoying. I don’t wanna hear my character scream for the next 10 minutes. It’s one reason I love Calm Spirit.

    I like playing as Doc but HATE going against him. Most people dislike playing against a Doc

    @MegMain98

    Yeah, I'm in the minority. I think I'm not really bothered by Doc because I'm used to his effects from playing as him so much.

  • This is pretty cool. Nice job.

    Basic: 70

    Intermediate: 265

    Advanced: 190

    Bonus: 115

    Total: 640 (Corrupted Veteran, Doctor main)

    What if we don't do some of these things all the time? Would we still count them or not?

    Also, I have some questions about some of these things.

    I've never heard of Bloodlust transfer. Does that involve knowing when exactly you're going to enter Bloodlust 1 and using that to your advantage?

    How the hell do you develop an innate Whispers? How do you immediately figure out that there's a Survivor nearby without any other hints?

    How do you master the Killer's lunge and basic attack?

  • He's extremely fun to play as and against. One of the reasons I main him is because I have the most fun playing as him.

    Having your Aura revealed is no downside if you can run the Killer around for ages. It can also be prevented for the longest time thanks to a 99% heal strat.

    @DocOctober

    I completely forgot about the 99% heal strat. I would either prevent the Survivor from healing past a certain threshold (around 70-90%) until the perk is used and have your healing progress bar reset upon the activation of the Endurance effect (when the Killer hits you and you light up, not when you see the effect's symbol appear on the side of the screen). I'd love to see the look on the Survivors' faces when they realize that they wasted all that time healing only for it go away after I hit them.

  • It's worse than the old DS. At least you had a chance to prevent it from activating as all Killers. You cannot prevent MoM from activating if you are an M1 Killer. I'm not really surprised though. Too many Survivors refused to get good after the loss of Decisive Crutch and whined their asses off.

    As for nerfing it, I would make the Killer's swing go through the Survivor or act like it hit an object instead of playing the full successful hit animation and maybe increase the range where the Killer can't see your aura (not sure by how much though).

    No... I'm sick of KiLLaH Mainz trying to make this an M1 simulator.

    Make Ruin a basekit for Killers... but don't sit there and try to compare the gen pop to the 86 hour a week players from overseas.

    I'd love to make Ruin part of the Killer's basekit, but it would screw over new Survivors. You know how much it would suck to repair your first few generators only to realize you aren't gaining any progress because you keep hitting good skill checks? That could easily chase away new Survivors.

  • I'm not really sure. I'd like to say soon, but the devs still seem desperate to keep as many Survivor players as they can and will easily give in to their complaints but take months or years to fix glaring issues with Killers.

  • Either the new ranking system or Haddonfield (aka Infinitefield).

  • This so much. It’s really not fair that Survivors can rob Killers of 25% extra BP just because they got downed once.

    I once had a 4-man Squadette group all playing Blendettes, and they used Family Residence map offering, with 3 greater mists, and their entire builds consisted of things like Urban Evasion, Quick and Quiet, Dance With Me, Lightfooted, etc. And they spent the entire game trying to be immersed, crouching in the sugar canes and all of that.

    I used a Black Ward that match, so they thought I was playing tombstone Myers which made them even more immersed.

    I was uh... playing Scratched Mirror.

    Oof.

    What was their reaction to discovering that you had Scratched Mirror?

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

    Currently sitting at rank 4/5 as both Survivor and Killer. You basically have to be a god each match to pip at this rank.

    No wonder I’ve been getting more sweaty 3-4 man SWF groups that normal. I’m at rank 7 as Killer. I’m actually seriously starting to consider letting the Survivor finish all five gens, get their points, and then leave so I can lose two pips and lower my rank. I really don’t want to because I don’t like DCing, but I also don’t want to go up against sweaty groups 24/7.

  • At least it’s not Haddonfield. That map still has infinites. It needs to be reworked ASAP. The map offerings should be removed temporarily until it gets fixed. That’s how much I ######### hate it.

  • I have a feeling this wouldn’t work at all.

    So you're saying Billy can't charge across the map, Spirit can't phase, Hag can't tp, Bubba can't charge up his chainsaw etc.

    Would you also like survivors to spawn on the hook for you?

    @powerbats

    I think they do. Have you seen his other topics? He's basically the definition of "entitled Killer main who wants to 4k every game".

    I guess. I was actually thinking of doing that myself.

  • Let me guess, you made this thread because someone camped you to death and you’re looking for a place to vent?

  • jUsT AdApT bAbY kILleR mAiN!!!1111

    Being serious, the perk only has three or four counters: Billy, Leatherface (both have their chainsaw), Myers (EW3 instadown), and maybe Huntress (not sure if her hatchets are bugged or not). Nurse currently counters it, but that is a bug so it'll probably be fixed soon. It's basically telling you that you can only play certain Killers, otherwise you'll have to deal with the broken mess that is Mettle of Man.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    That's not type of changes people want to see on killers in term of buffs. What they want to see is more skill oriented buffs that make "bad killers" become good killers through time and practice.

    So for example, it is very well known that Doctor and Freddy are worst killers in dead by daylight,

    If for example, skill checks didn't wake people up during Freddy's power, he could capitalize multiple survivors and everyone would have to find another player to wake them up. He might then not be a total laughing stock of the game but he won't be nurse-level either.

    Doctor is another meme killer that a lot of low rank players tends to hate because of skill-checks, but in higher level of play, most doctors value his shocks as predicted reads for when a survival will vault/use a pallet, The issue of course is that Treatment lowers his movement speed during chases and the time required to switch modes+shock time and poor range cripple his ability to anti-loop, so if they reduce his switch mode cast time and removed drawback of his range add-on's, doctor could effectively outplay survivors instead of being an active sonar for survivors.

    these are just some examples for how they could improve bad killers into some average killers that probably hold their own.

    @Devil_hit11

    You're actually the first person I've seen to say Doctor is tied for worst Killer in the game.

    You're not supposed to chase in Treatment mode. Switching modes also does not take 2.5 seconds (the duration of the shock stun). At longer/safe loops, you should just try to get the Survivor drop the pallet ASAP. Windows and unsafe loops become extremely dangerous against him (if they weren't already dangerous). You also need to know how to time your shocks correctly, especially if you're running a shock range add-on. While Madness 3 might not slow the game down for a long time, the time for a Survivor to find a safe location and Snap Out of It can be enough for you to down another Survivor. If the first Survivor was injured, then you'll have an injured Survivor running around looking for help or that Survivor will have to heal themselves with a medkit, Self-Care, or both, buying you even more time.

  • If they're running straight, then I'll aim at them. If they're running to the side, I'll aim in front of them.

    @drunky26 said:

    They're extinct.

    Pretty sure they aim where they're running to. Makes more sense.

    We are not extinct. A lot of us are either not on these forums/Reddit or do not make themselves known.

    I really dont know what was the point of nerfing DS if they were just going to add another one

    Too many Survivor players refused to get good and were whining, so the devs created Mettle of Man to appease them. I'm hoping they see their mistake and nerf or rework the perk by patch 2.7.0. Currently, the perk is stronger than DS pre-2.6.0.
