Good. They can’t be useless anymore.
-
They even said that they weren’t going to nerf Ghostface.
-
Only if slugging is buffed.
-
So Hag and Freddy would walk around missing a hand?
-
The perk is very inconsistent. Sometimes you won’t stun the Killer when they’re inches away from the locker and sometimes they’ll be a good distance away and still get stunned.
-
Either Ruin, BBQ, Enduring, and Spirit Fury or a gen stopper build (Unnerving, Overcharge, Huntress Lullaby, and Ruin/Distressing). I use BBQ, Unnerving, Overcharge, and Distressing even at red ranks and I manage to succeed, however it's definitely a challenge.
@tehshadowman33 said:
Don't. Playing doctor at red ranks is painful. He needs the delay between switching stances lowered. It's the only thing holding him back from being good.
Don't forget about his abysmal base shock range. It is ridiculously small. His movement speed while charging the shock might need a buff too (I can't remember if it's 87% or 100%).
-
Lol what? This would do the opposite of fix the game. I don’t want to be forced into a role or Killer that I don’t want to play. If I want to only play Doctor for an entire day, then let me do so. You’d chase so many players away.

Friday the 13th and Evolve sucked imo because you couldn't just play what you want. They had this RNG bull.
Getting one role when you want the other isn't fun. It's a waste of time.
It was easier to get your preferred role in Evolve because there was only five players (meaning that if you preferred Monster, then you would only have to play four games at the most as a Hunter). Sometimes you’d find lobbies where you were the only person which preferred Monster. You could also choose your side in the ranked mode. Now ranked is offline and the only playable online mode is Quick Play. You can find matches in a decent amount of time. You should come back, it’s a pretty fun game.
Friday the 13th’s selection system was bullshit. The chances of you getting Jason were around 12% because the devs thought that everyone would prefer to play Jason. They didn’t fix it, even though the post launch feedback and DbD had shown that a lot of players wouldn’t want to just stick to one side. When they added the single player mode I slowly stopped playing online. Yeah counselor is fun, but I preferred Jason and didn’t like having a 12% chance to play as him. It would also choose the same player multiple times in a row and would even prioritize players who didn’t prefer Jason over players that did. At least Evolve would try its best to give everyone a chance to play their preferred role and there would often be only 0-2 players who preferred the same role as you.

Going to be honest, the end of your last sentence kinda sounds like you’re salty that you don’t get to use DS every match.
The perk does not need any buffs. The only thing DS needs is to deactivate once the Survivor interacts with something so it doesn’t punish the Killer for just happening to only find that Survivor.
-
Not everyone wants to farm all the time. I’d rather just play a normal game most times.
-

It was tweaked, although for some it is significantly lower than it should be (to the point where you can barely hear it). This is a known issue and we're currently looking into it.
It sounds pretty good in the PTB. I’d rather have quieter chase music and be able to hear the Survivors than have loud chase music and have to struggle to hear the Survivors. Maybe there could be a setting to change the volume for people that like to hear the music.
-
Skilled Huntress, Where Did They Go, and the one where you have wiggle out (there always seems to be a hook nearby whenever I get downed or nobody wants to bodyblock, seriously thinking about just running a don't slug me build until I get the trophy).
I did that before the ranks and Adept Killer trophies got ruined by 2.6.0. It was still pretty hard, but I cannot imagine trying to do it today. I had to get Adept Plague that way and it was horrible.
-
This is a really, really good post that goes in-depth as to why Killers who aren't Nurse, Spirit, Hag, or Billy can struggle so much so often at higher ranks.
In my experiences, green ranks are very similar to purple and red. If I had to guess, it's because Survivors don't want to risk getting to red ranks and waiting 20-30 minutes for a single game.
Sounds seem to be getting an update in the next patch, but it probably won't solve everything. I think we'll need a couple of patches to completely fix the sounds. Scratch marks have been bugged for a while now. I've had games where a Survivor turned and the scratch marks acted as if they kept going forward. Sometimes they will only spawn on the ground and not catch onto objects beside them. It gets really annoying.
I'm really hoping that Haddonfield is the next map to be reworked. It still has so many infinites that have no counters aside from playing a specific Killer.
-
Yes. It’s really good on Billy because you can take advantage of his chainsaw to speed around the map and find a gen before the 30 seconds is up. The perk’s timer is also going to get a buff in the next patch to 40/50/60 seconds instead of just 30.
-
I find more toxicity at the green ranks. Never really found a lot of toxicity in my experiences at red ranks. Then again, I am on PS4 so it might have been just Survivors being too lazy to send a message.
-
I actually think it’ll be nerfed in 2.8.0 or 2.9.0.
-
Doctor.
-
You become an actual pig that way.
-
Billy is too map dependent and has to deal with Dead Hard (Survivors can DH to a loop and prevent Billy’s instadown).
Spirit is not very map dependent and nullifies Dead Hard.
@Acromio said:
It's simple, really. The Spirit is a trash tier scrub-stomper. The Hillbilly is the second best killer in the game.
Are you trying to troll or are you just bad with every other Killer/don’t want to try them out?
-
Giving a BBQ/WGLF stack upon Survivor/Killer DC is something that has been needed for over a year. In addition to that, the Killer/Survivors should receive all of the DCed player’s bloodpoints and XP that they had earned at that point in the match as a quitter bonus. If the Killer DCs, then their BPs and XP will be split among the Survivors.
-
This is easier to activate than the current version. Two of those hits will come naturally, meaning you only have to try to get one hit. 3 protection hits is a good idea because you have to actively try to get it by bodyblocking.
-
Gatekeeper is really dumb now. It’s basically “Bring Ruin or hope the Survivors make mistakes”. It should be reverted to the pre 2.6.0 version.
-
You’re kidding right? I’d love some screenshots if it’s true.
-
Sounds are bugged, meaning Spirit isn't as effective. Even when they get fixed, Billy will be tied with Hag for third.
-
Doctor, Spirit, Billy, Hag, and Myers. I don’t play Spirit as much because of how ######### the sounds are unfortunately.

No you can't. The game ends after Survivor opens the hatch.
You can close the Hatch while a Survivor is jumping in. It’s happened to multiple people. However I’m not sure how long the Killer has to close the Hatch after the Survivor has started the escape animation.
-
Now that grabs are removed, yes. You might be able to close the Hatch again when the Survivor reopens it but you’ll probably have to get lucky for this to happen.
-
The perk was a huge crutch. Both Killer and Survivor mains were complaining about it. Over half of the Killers had no counter to this perk outside of a high rarity add-on or a perk. We shouldn’t NEED to bring a perk, an add-on, or play a specific Killer just to have a chance in higher ranks. We should be able to play whoever we want. This nerf was 100% justified. Like Survivor mains told Killers for years before the devs finally started trying to fix the game, “adapt”. If you can’t do that, then prepare to get killed by a lot of Killers.
-
I love it. The protection hits requirement is awesome. I really hope that's the version that makes it to 2.8.0.
-
Haddonfield needs a huge nerf ASAP. Like, it needs to be fixed before any other map. It is the only map that actually has infinites. No, playing a specific Killer is not a counter (even then, there's only two of them: Nurse and Trapper). We shouldn't be forced to play a specific Killer to have even a small chance on a bullshit map.
-
I thank them for actually trying to be good at the game and not abusing a crutch perk.
-
Balancing the game around brown/yellow ranks? Yeah no. We already tried that with Freddy, and that didn't go well at all.

On play station there is, seems like all the high tier swfs decided to de-rank before the rank reset just to bully the lower ranked killers
Don’t they always do that though?

At least he wouldn't literally get killed in this game *shrugs*
He’s kinda supposed to get “killed”. Have you not seen any F13 movie? The F13 game was basically trying to simulate the movies. Jason gets killed and then comes back to life or is hinted to still be alive some time later.
-
Yes please! The Game doesn’t even begin to compare to Haddonfield. The Game may have been Killer sided at first, but the wonky distribution of hooks and number of pallets have changed that. Haddonfield actually has multiple insane loops that can easily be turned into infinites.
-
I would agree with this to decrease the amount of Survivors hiding until the rest of their teammates are dead and then trying to escape without doing anything.
-

Most MoM threads aren’t constructive and most ideas to nerf it would destroy it.
If you don’t like MoM then give ideas on how to nerf it.
We have been. They wouldn't destroy the perk, they would just make it balanced, which apparently the perk cannot be because Survivors always need to have at least one crutch perk, right?
-
Lol you were going to die anyway from being slugged. I guess it's just too bad that you were the last one found.
-
@Pizzaman said:
Why don't you ask for more Bloodpoints instead of a Stack? That would mean everybody could capitalize, not just people that happen to have a specific perk equipped at the very moment.
Because that is what the perk is supposed to do. We are running the perks for a specific reason. If you do not have the perk equipped, then too freaking bad.
Again, sorry that you DC to deny players of some extra BPs out of a perk they happen to be running. This would be a fair compensation for rage quits and when players fail to load in.
-
Nah, he'd just get ruined because of how Survivor-favored this game is. At least he has somewhat a chance in F13.
-
@Pizzaman said:

And that's exactly what it isn't. People without BBQ/WGLF won't be able to capitalize, so it's not balanced and fair. But you probably alread read that.
That's obviously already the case. Are you really that upset about players being compensated for DCs? Do you just like to DC the moment things look like they might not be going your way?
-
Why the ######### is the Hatch grab being removed? Keys mean that at least one person is getting a 100% free escape. Same thing if the Killer is chasing the Survivor. No ######### counterplay whatsoever. They can just jump in and escape for free because Survivors apparently need a ######### ton of chances to escape.
-
Unfortunately, no. The Hatch is now a 100% guaranteed free escape for at least one person with a key or if the Killer is in a chase.
-
I'm not surprised at all by this point. You have to wonder if this is being done on purpose though.

There is supposed to be a crack sound. The bug was that it was playing multiple times at once and could be heard by survivors.
So the sound being quieter means the bug was fixed and it's now just an audio que for the Spirit's ears only like it's supposed to be.
Glad that actually got fixed. Was it in the patch notes? I don't remember seeing it there.
-
They're scared that nerfing the perk will upset the Survivors and cause them to lose money. After all, MoM is one of, if not the main selling point of the Ash DLC. Gotta make up for the balancing of Decisive Strike somehow.
-
I'd be down for this. WGLF should also give Survivors stacks upon a Killer DCing. This way Survivors and Killers don't have to worry about losing BPs because someone got too salty and disconnected. I'm honestly a little shocked at all the downvotes here. I guess that's just a bunch of players who like to DC a lot.
-
They're so entitled that they can't stand a loss against any Killer. They won't stop complaining until every game is a Killer bully simulator for them.
-
65% Killer
35% Survivor

@SnakeSound222 The killer who gets three kills deserves three kills. They don't deserve the last kill because they haven't earned it whatsoever.
Why do you consider finding an alternative objective a "free" escape? It's not free when you have to do something for it: i.e. find it before an undefeatable, faster Killer does.
They managed to get three kills before two gens were powered. Given how easy it is to repair gens, that means the Killer did something right. They don't deserve to lose out on a 4k because of a no-skill second objective.
Finding the Hatch as a Survivor is a free escape because you literally have to do nothing. All you have to do is crouch around and it's yours.

I don't agree with the hatch spawning anytime either, but its by far a "EZ ESCAPE GG" for the last survivor now.
If anything its an EZ win for the killer if they find the hatch first.
You're right, it's not THAT easy, but it's still pretty easy and doesn't reward skill. If the Killer managed to capitalize on the Survivor team's mistakes and get three kills before 2 gens were completed, then they deserve to get that last kill. The Survivor shouldn't have a chance to jump out the Hatch and just escape for free. Why couldn't the Killer receive permanent aura reading at an unlimited range if the Survivor was not actually trying to escape and would just try to become completely immersed until the Killer gave up?
-
Because the devs want to give Survivors a million chances to escape. They could've given something to reward the Killer for doing a good job, but instead gave them a way to speed up the game and still kept escaping as a Survivor ridiculously easy.
