It totally is trying to force the killer to face SWFs.TheBean said:@Rebel_Raven said:

Nah.. it isn't getting away with forcing killers to do anything. Nothing is forcing a player to play the game.
The issue comes down to how the Developers are going about their "vision" for their game. I don't get the impression the Devs want to treat SWF any different than they are now. I get the impression they are buffing killers to SWF, since they have mentioned this in past streams.
So with that vision idea in mind, ask yourself...
How could the Developer have a lobby system that allows players to filter or exclude SWF groups from their lobby, when it isn't the Developers intentions of allowing players to dodge those groups? How much longer do players think this will continue?
So many hopes, and prayers to the devs to make it impossible to discern SWFs from solos, punishing the killers for dodging, etc.
Even knowing how badly a killer can get mauled. Mauled because the game isn't balanced for a lot of the reasons killers dodge.
Maybe the killer isn't a veteran player, and doesn't have the loadout to face a team of squadettes with items?
People like myself came to this game because it was advertised as 4 solos vs a killer. It's definitely not that anymore.
I don't see the devs buffing killers to face SWFs at all, really.
If that were true, killers would have a more drastic increase in power to cope with the speed of communication, and coordination, imo.
They certainly wouldn't be keen on having killers not be
Pretty sure the Devs said dodging is ok.
If we want lobby dodging to stop, we need better match making. Not hiding SWFs because they generally aim to break match making, but doing more to make sure that the killer is able to cope with the difficulty of the group coming into their lobby.
Some sort of score system where a group is rated, roughly on how well they act as an SWF, their loadout, and so forth.
Likewise killer ratings based on assorted things like loadouts, how well they do vs SWF, etc.
Details should be scarce, or even as hidden as possible.
The killer theirselves should be an unknown element as much as possible as they are supposed to have some advantages because they're the horror element. -
They're all about the same to me, too.Eveline said:I am the only one that doesn't find legion frustrating I guess. At least no more than other killers.

I know! I'm like #########.
Worse yet, I'm doing gens and the other 3 seem to bull rush the killer and suicide.
I don't understand it either. -
Yeah, I can go either way in that situation as a killer.
If the survivor wants to leave, I'll let them escape. If they wanna die, I'll reluctantly hook them.
I wish more killers would excercise that level of chill instead of snorting up the kills.
As long as we both walk away with decent points, I'm good. -
Coz I like green hair. I like her short shorts.
The half shaved hair styles put me off, but pixie cut, or the green hair? Nice.
She isn't my main main, but she is up there with Kate and Min. Rng and all. -
All 5 gens done in a 5 minute or less span of time in my case.Eveline said:How do you define gen rushing? -
If you want longer games, the issue is that survivors can basically hit end game in under 5 minutes.No1TheLarch said:@Mr_Myers said:
Etiquette? People will still tunnel you because it's the easiest way to get kills. I mean earlier the devs did just help make your wish. There is no really etiquette in the gameAnd thats part of the problem. And maybe the easiest way to get kills, but not the best way to get BP or elbems which really on chase and gen pressure mechanics. Its pretty disheartening to play a game of survivor every once in awhile just to have a Myers wait immediatly for your dumb teammate to unhook you and instead of chasing the idiot Meg, he just chases you down anyways.
What I am trying to suggest is a way to get SOME, not all obviously, players to change their tactics which will be for the better experience of all players. For instance if people realize they get less BP for tunneling or even get a BP reward for hitting a different survivor they might do that instead!
The killer needs time to enjoy the hunt, the chase, etc. Lacking that, they must thin out the numbers so they can have more time.
Believe me, I would love to enjoy chasing everyone, not tunneling (some times I don't have a choice since it's the only person I see, or I don't want to break a chase) and all those lovely point gaining activities, but I never am sure I have the time.

Try doing that with doctor, legion, freddy, or basically the non top of the line killers.No_Cluie_Louis said:@CronaWins said:
Survivors must have it hard. You don't need perks or items to win as it is.
Try playing billy, nurse or spirit. Qutie honestly 4k'ing ever game is boring enough as it is
All survivors are basically capable of performing on the same level, cosmetics aside, but not all killers perform on the same level. -

Killers on average get a 3-4K per match how much more “balance” do you need?Rebel_Raven said:A solution to lobby dodging, a real one, is the hardest one.
Balance the game around SWFs/mid trial chat/coordination.
Maybe make stuff easier for killers to get so we have the tools to battle them, or something.
And there are variables to consider.
Largely what goes into being prepared to fight the SWFs who generally like to abuse match making to fight low rank killers.
I mean if these killers that get 3 to 4 Ks, but they have pages of 3 rank perks, purple moris, and high end addons, it doesn't mean anything to someone who doesn't even have a page of rank 3 perks, no purple moris, and insufficient offerings, both facing the same SWFs.
-
Hell yeah, you can.
I cannot think of a good reason otherwise.

The massive safe zones around the open gates, and hatch.
The killers usually cannot down a survivor fast enough to prevent an escape.
I ran, injured, fresh off the hook a quarter to half way across a swamp map from a doctor to make an escape.
The survivors know it's a huge safe zone, and killers are catching on more and more.
Why else would survivors feel comfortable enough to wait there until the killer chases, and even hits them out? -
Back in the day, there was a game called Armored Core.
The plot revolved around you, a mercenary mech pilot in a group called "Raven."
There were secret unlocks where if you went far enough into debt, you get experimented on, and upgraded. Your name was wiped, and replaced by "Rebel"
So Rebel Raven. -
I like the game a lot. I spend actual money on cosmetics in hoping to offer some support.
If things were closer to balanced I'd be pretty thrilled. This is one of the few PVP games I enjoy at all (people ruin pvp.) And I would like this game to be successful.
I like the style of the game, through and through. The original intent as an antisocial multiplayer game, the assorted killers, the survivors, the flexibility.
But I also complain because I really like the game, but the flaws are burning me out.
Namely survivors communicating and throwing the balance way the hell off in their favor. I love the game through and through, but mid trial communication is not part of the game!
The level of coordination pulled off is game breaking at times.
I don't have the perks, addons, or offerings to continually battle SWFs who are the major perps of this, and they're becoming more and more common.
This often gets paired with killer viability issues.
DS, hatch, NOED? Can't say I have much of a problem.
There might be a few other things, like the huge safe zones around the hatch, and gate once opened, but balance is my key issue. I don't mind losing too much, it's how fair the game really is.
-
Aside from flailing on the hook meaning the killer is near, no rules. Play how you want to.
The people making the rules are the ones the rules benefit.
Still, it's fun to know the dumb/weird things, I guess, like killers running NOED have to use frosty eyes cosmetics, or respecting the 4 percent, dropping an item is asking to be let go, etc. -
He doesn't talk about it from a killer's perspective, though which rubs me the wrong way a little. I mean I know he basically only plays survivor, so there's that, but survivors aren't the only ones with issues.
Especially with the glaring omission of SWF/communications. It's broken. Watching some of the better killers struggle even with their better loadouts is worrying since I'm not the best killer, and my loadouts won't be the best for years.
Let's not pretend it doesn't offer an advantage since it helped him get his longest survival streak.
Then killer viability.
-
Look up Monto on YouTube. He plays a lot of themed builds that do ok for him.
Hybrid Panda plays killer almost exclusively and has assorted builds as well.
I have a lot of loadout goals.
Honestly, the build depends on the killer as each has different strengths. You may not need a tracking perk for doctor, or insidious on Huntress, or Freddy for instance.
Perks also are best used imo to help with areas you aren't great at for a particular killer, or improve what you want to do.
Enduring, brutal strength, spirit fury, these play well with helping vs pallets.
Could go end game, and have remember me, blood warden, fire up, and noed.
I like whispers, and rancor for tracking. Bitter murmur was a favorite of mine. Might use it if rancor isn't available.
What do you want to accomplish with your build?
It might help to know what perks and killer you're using. -
Don't forget that flashlights, and firecrackers destroy hag traps, burn a wraith out of cloak, and prevent a nurse from blinking. When shined on them, obviously.
-
The correct way is Burger King Myers. Look up the build....
Kidding.
Myers is versatile. He can be played in lots of ways.
Monto is a solid Myers player imo, and is always looking for fun builds, so he has a lot of Myers builds to check out. -
Nope. With how fast people can get gens done these days, and almost no desire to fix that, ruin is fine.
You could easily argue that if the survivors are any good, they can find and break the totem. -
Oof. Huntress?
Leatherface is made to camp, basically.
Wraith, sorta, too. -
Could always try for jump scares.
Make prayer beads base kit on spirit.
Myers can be good on jump scares.
Remove terror radius for generator grabs, and stuff.
Make survivors be on edge, and on the look out. They have third person view for a reason.
Just kinda spitballing. -

Modernized? -
It's having vast Intel at your fingertips.
Killer location.
Intel on their loadouts.
Totem locations.
Where people are being chased or downed.
All this, and more without having to use perk slots.
The game isn't balanced for the speed of communication. The killers are too slow to get to people that know they're coming, they are too slow to kill, etc.
Yeah, it's not always like that, but it is more often than some would ever admit.
And they're looking at it, usually from the perspective of a well armed killer.
A lot of SWFs are looking to bully killers in their teen ranks.
The Intel, and coordination is what really sets chat users apart from solos.
It makes the game a bit too difficult for the killers they're after. It takes killers at end game, usually those with stockpiles of moris and purple addons to claim they're fine for the most part. Most of us aren't that. -

Yeah. I'm not 4k crazed, so I will probably just let them go.
Might chase, and hit them, and slug all but one, but I'm not looking for kills at that point, but I do want points and to make it a little interesting.
DCing to see loadouts doesn't work anymore. -

It would be neat if we still got firecrackers, imo.powerbats said:@Rebel_Raven said:

Well, I was running from a hag, and crouched behind some boxes near a generator. Traps tripped, she was close enough, I threw my firecracker and wiped out several traps as well as blinding her while I ran like hell.
If the hag drops numerous traps near a hooked survivor, trip it, and see if she teleports then drop it, maybe?
Yes but do you always bring a firecracker and do you get a Hag when bringing said firecracker though? I've not seen one in a chest since event ended.
But no, I almost never take items.
And I don't always face hag.
People don't always bring flashlights, or always face hag, wraith, or nurse, but sometimes things come together.
Some tactics are going to be situational, but handy, I reckon .
Maybe surprise a hard camper, or make a save with them? -
Bowsette as killer, or bust!
-
Most survivors have never used a drive through, I guess.
-
You'd think nurse, and doc considering the shared profession, and the Victorian dlc, but maybe it's just professional?
But yeah, I like the outfits. It's nice seeing so much Nurse uncovered. Her head, I mean. -
I like Nea. Her hair cuts are ugly, though. *ducks*
About the only hair styles I like are the pixie, and the street tough green hair.
The partial shave isn't for me. -

What if there weren't any negative options? Only positive ones?
Well, if no reviews are given, that might seem negative.
Leaving notes on tactics the killers or survivors use might lead to new forms of dodging based on those.
A lone wolf survivor might get dodged.
A mind gamer killer might get dodged.
If we narrow it down to a single vote up button, someone might have their pals, or alts abuse that, if not for other tags.
And what if the survivor's reputation isn't shown in the pre-game lobby? Only once they're in the game, and post-game?
Unless it's just to feed the ego and see what people think of you.
You might do well, then that one bad game might throw off your tags. -

Sometimes they seem inspired.
We had calls for a fat survivor that had a chance to break hooks. Not long after? Jeff appears with a perk to break hooks.
Granted he isn't fat, he looks huge compared to other survivors.
Sometimes it's just fun. Here's my light killer concept, the Banshee

I have no idea if there's any crosshairs programs you can add to console. -
Entity won't let them. The entity has to prevent them from boinking.

Really sucks. I was looking forward to getting open handed and boosting Kate since she already has kindred 3.
Problem with getting out of there is finding enough time/energy/mood to play that much. Lol
I'll work on it though.
It's crazy how insanely suicidal survivors can get. Luckily I run into others that can get the job done.
Wish I had bbq, but I can't see myself enjoying playing bubba, and I'll get a ritual to do it eventually, so I don't want to spend the cash.
I usually have the other perks on huntress, but I'm hoping to get them on Legion. Maybe Doc, too. -
They do that ######### even with Kindred 3 going.
Watched some dumbass sit in the basement, and had to be outside of TR while Bubba ran around.
The impact was minimal, it feels like, running a perk designed to get people able to strategize better.
Watching some idjit shimmy while crouched, and #########.
Wish I could have gotten open handed from the shrine, and get it going.
Real annoying, though, to use half my perks to support idiots.

Huntress was my first killer, and is still my fav. Lore, looks, powers, I like her.
Spirit is probably my deadliest, and I enjoy her, too. Looks, lore, powers.
I think she looks intimidating with the red mark face and the burial kimono.
Pig is up there. I want to play as her more than I do.
Susie is a fav, aesthetically. -
Kinda ticked
I wanted to get open handed but I thought the shrine updated Wednesday.
Still, monitor and abuse. Yay.
