When somebody hook farmed me,I let me die because they got 0 Points for safe hook.So ... why farming ?

There is a perk called We're Gonna Live Forever that grants its user a bonus to all BP at the end of the match. They get +25% to the multiplier for each Unhook, or Protection score event.

It's to keep the thread safe. You can talk about whatever you want in Off-Topic. In Killers you can only talk about killers.

How much salt you generate per day?
I don't main Bubba but I know the formula. It's: Number of survivors camped divided by the number of Jake's tunneled. Then add the total number of mallet hits multiplied by the number of rounds you insidious camped in the basement. Then multiply all of that by 420, divide by 69 and then you'll have the net salt generated for that day in grams.

Lions on outer layers a reference to Richard the Lionheart?

The central banner has crosses on it = Christian involvement?

Perhaps one of the characters is a religious figure, or crusader?

My guess? I would say the killer would be a Crusader who is so zealous that his hatred of heretics piqued the Entity's interest. Thus the crusader kills because he assumes that the Entity (who would presumably speak to him) is his god when it's actually the Entity.

Then in order for the survivor to know how to fix generators you would have a modern middle-eastern Muslim man who is a historian. This connects back to the religious theme while also making sense on how he knows how to fix generators.
Nice logic but if it's from dark ages it would be before Richard the lion heart but a possible crusader or some form of holy man could be a possible killer. Going of what's in the photo it looks like that 'jar' (using that word loosely) is chained up so perhaps they are protecting it like you would a hex from whoever is searching for their light

He has plenty of dialogue and he reacts to almost everything that happens.

    Kill an enemy?

I suggested a connection between Richard the Lionheart.

I saw "In the darkest of times" as a reference to the Dark Ages.

I believe that the killer will be an overzealous crusader that falsely believes the Entity is his god.

Also Mali is just the codename for the chapter.

Was there any potential for the killer to have done a grab? Grabbing a survivor off of a generator or out of a locker is an instant down.

The Killer just hit me once, the match had just started, I wasn't near a generator, in a locker or climbing over a pallet (as none had been pulled down) or over a window. I was just out in the open.

There is a chance that Haunted Grounds was cleansed early after being mistaken for a Ruin. But this would mean that you would've had to miss the explosion and notification of being exposed to make this thread at all. So unless HG was cleansed early I have no clues as to how you were instantly downed.

  • My favorite part of Legion is that since all of the masks are white you can have Meg with the Death Garden mask essentially be the 5th Legion member.

  • Was there any potential for the killer to have done a grab? Grabbing a survivor off of a generator or out of a locker is an instant down.

  • @Shad03 @Chaotic_Riddle I like Legions' design a lot. The power was boring meh for me at first, but then I realized the awesomeness of Deep Wounds. I am still an apprentice level killer player (over 500 hours, but not anywhere near 1000). I have been bullied by swfs and skilled survivors before and despite my efforts, they would consistently lurk by me or body block me. Now with Deep Wounds I just shank people and they actually back off. It's a feeling of power that most killers don't enjoy.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle I guess if people won't stop complaining that there's no PTB yet maybe the whiners will be willing to make some, contributions, to BHVR's production assets?

  • I was gonna play a game of Legion with Devour Hope to give me motivation to not tunnel the survivors. They broke the totem within 30 seconds of the trial start. I did a camp and tunnel routine so hard they didn't get a single generator done and 3 of the 4 survivors were sacrificed. The last guy ragequit.

Do you have any particular reasoning behind your answer?
  • @Chaotic_Riddle @Eveline
Legion's power is honestly just a middle finger.

Does it actually help you down survivors?
Not really. (Unless you use an exploit)

Does it force survivors to leave you alone?
    Yes.

Is the power good with Ultra-Rare add-ons?
Not really, you will get lots of info, but you never have enough Frenzy Duration to get over fast enough to affect what's happening.

Overall Legion can really stick it to survivors, but they can't do much else.
  • I mean honestly I don't give a (explicative referring to bowel waste) about the new killer ever since Legion came out. Legion is the killer I have wanted for a while. I like most things about Legion too (excluding the Frank Mixtape hell combo.)

Don't get me wrong, I would be ecstatic if we got a medieval killer. However, all of the hype from the last few killers has just been a dissapointing pattern.

    - Community gets excited
    - New chapter over-hyped
    - BHVR staff teases community (Insert image of poking a sleeping bear with a stick)
    - PTB Releases
    - Fails to meet most expectations
    - Chapter releases
    - Still fails to meet expectations
    - Killer subforum and General Discussions get spammed with "nEw KiLlEr Op" threads.
    - Killer gets a (usually) unjust nerf (50/50 chance)
    - Most Surviviors think new survivors perks are dumb
    - All of 100 people actually play as the new survivior.
  • Well I know blyat means (explicative referring to a female dog) I'm afraid that's all I know. Either way, they weren't being terribly nice.

  • 'Course there is the matter of it not being on Steam anymore. That might prove to be a problem.
EDIT: Apparently it is on Steam. When I searched "Death Garden" I was auto-directed to a game about pumpkins though.

@Orion @Brady How about we make this a UI feature for killer and survivor, but we have it turned off by default and the player has to manually turn it on in the options menu? New players (the ones most likely to be afraid) will lack the information initially and everyone who doesn't get scared has access to the info whenever they want it. How's that sound?

Sounds pretty fair imo, those who don't want informations can turn it of, those who want it can keep it. I think the same time devs could add an option to completely turn off all HUD elements as a "hardcore" mode, but that's a different topic

Oooh. Maybe survivors and killers could play their first few games without a hud and during each trial, they unlock a new part to help them understand what everything means?

  • Umm, this isn't actually a farming killer if they just stood still and kept attacking with M1. This is actually known as botting and is a bannable exploit. I know that you can't report the killers now, however, do keep this in mind for the future.

Legion's Achievement is just evil. They expect you to down a survivior by giving them deep wounds, going to someone else, then coming back and downing then with a second Feral Frenzy attack. I'm pretty sure it requires the Frank hell combo and a whole lotta luck.

I personally would have Trapper (me as Trapper) and literally any one of my friends or family as any other killer. Since I'm mostly thinking of one person who would be willing to join me it'd be a Trapper/Myers(or Billy) duo act.

If such a mode would actually happen then realistically I would be either Huntress or Legion and my friend would likely be Wraith.

I just think that the almost guaranteed insta-down hatchets would be better than the maximum movement gang.
  • There's no point in dodging lobbies. Here's why:

By dodging lobbies until you get one you like or feel comfortable in you are making ranking up too easy. Since ranking up is now too easy (as if it wasn't easy enough) you will quickly reach a high rank with a long wait. This long wait will make dodging lobbies less worthwhile as you will start spending more time in the lobbies than in the actual game.

Whereas I, who haven't dodged, will have good games, and bad games and more bloodpoints than you who chose to dodge. Furthermore, I will eventually get to a rank I belong at and you will simply get so high in rank that dodging becomes meaningless as all games will now be against spooky swfs.

Besides, you can make good banter post game.

Ex: Earlier today I started a lobby and waited for my survivor opponents. When they all joined I saw not one, not two, but three flashlights. I glanced at my perks and found that out of the three flashlight counters I only had Lightborn (and it was tier I.) So I just said to hell with it and had a mediocre game. I didn't get a single kill. Later in the post game chat I told them I had no real good counters to what they were running and just said "The game was rigged from the start."

Was it fun for me? No. Was it fun for them? Probably. Did we all get bloodpoints? Yes.

So regardless of who the survivors are I say play ball and give it your all!
  • Shad03 said:

  • Realistically? I would ask the programmers and designers to make some UI and add in the option to choose the menu music from a list of songs that have been played in the past.

Ideally, though I would add a Bloodpoint multiplier based on what perks and items/offerings/add-ons are being used.

Why? Folks never shut up about powerful add-ons. People can't seem to get it through their heads that Ultra-Rare add-ons and Very Rare add-ons are supposed to be powerful. Also, killers seem far too eager to dodge a lobby if they see so much as a broken toolbox.

So, during the loading screen, a program would check what perks and offerings and items/add-ons were used. Then, as the trial starts in the center of the screen the multiplier amount would appear briefly then fade away. (It would be visible in the pause menu above the offerings [or under them if that's easier for the developers])

This is all just an idea, but the counting would be something like this:
    Perk Compensation:
    Tier 1 perk - 0.01
    Tier 2 perk - 0.02
    Tier 3 perk - 0.03

    Item Compensation:
    Common item - 0.05
    Uncommon item - 0.06
    Rare item - 0.07
    Very Rare item - 0.08
    Ultra Rare item - 0.09

    Add-On Compensation
    Common Add-on - 0.01
    Uncommon Add-on - 0.02
    Rare Add-on - 0.03
    Very Rare Add-on - 0.04
    Ultra Rare Add-on - 0.05

It would just add up the sum of these values depending on what was present then multiply the final scores of each player by it.

This makes a profit by keeping people happy and actively playing. This making people more likely to spend money on cosmetics and dlc.

  • Due to the nature of the add-on, you need to bring either a Skeleton Key or a Broken Key, which most people don't know how to use properly. You only get good use of the Add-on from a skeleton key though, which in of itself is so darn rare that you'll likely use a weaved ring to keep it. Finally, if the killer has Franklins or if you use that hatch to escape you lose both the key and the add-on resulting in a net loss of at least (ignoring your other add-on's cost) 13,000 BP.

So while it can be fun, it's too demanding with its 2 charges per second consumption rate. (Not to mention that it takes 1 charge/second to even start seeing auras. This lets you tap all of 3 seconds on a Broken Key, or 10 seconds on a Skeleton Key.)

  • @Eveline
That's a good question. Myers with 0 TR has been a thing for a while and nobody really minds it, save for the odd noob that whines that Michael is hacking. I know that Wraith even when cloaked with no TR still has loud footsteps that give him away. Combine this with crows and other props and it might actually be rather fair.

I honestly wouldn't mind this. Most killers moan or gasp so you'd have some warning. The only exceptions would have to be Freddy Krueger honestly. His whole power relies on TR so not knowing when he can see your aura would be a bit absurd.

Also while they are not TRs we should definitely keep the Huntress's humming and Freddy's song. That's just game balance.

  • @MhhBurgers Logically a 8v2 mode should be possible with dedicated servers. The reason they can't do such a game mode now is because the killer hosting is how the connections are organized. Since there are 2 killers in 2v8 they couldn't decide who should host and how lag might affect the other killer.

If everyone connects to a server though, then perhaps 8v2 is possible?
  • @mike2835 said:
I would definitely fix hit boxes, one of the biggest problems of balance. You drop the pallet, stun the killer and then go down. Is one of the worst breaks In the game.  How about giving the pallet a hit box, so once it's dropped you can't swing threw it.

That's not a hitbox problem, that's a latency problem. The killer lunges at you as you run through the pallet. Their hit connects before your pallet hits them due to how the connections work.

  • Honestly, my favorite killer is the Legion. The only time a monster in a horror game has consistently, even after beating its level, scared me was the Chaser in Slender: The Arrival. The Chaser appears for only one level where you must activate 6 generators to power an escape lift all while the Chaser and Slenderman chase you. The chaser scares because she's consistently chasing you for most of the level.

So when I look at Legion:

    • Hooded Killer
    • Can chase you all match
    • Is not stopped by stupid loop mechanics

Due to the similarities I've been rapidly working towards prestiging my Legion and been playing them a fair amount. #LeagueofLegions

Most killers have to rely on the survivor making a mistake. At best some killers have abilities that make it more likely they'll make a mistake, and some can better capitalize on them. But ultimately no, only Nurse, Spirit, and to a lesser but still potent degree Hag actively counter looping.
Huntress is "okay" at countering some debris loops, but Boulder, Truck, and anything else tall just shuts her down.
