It's been said before and I will add my voice to the chorus, "115%" Legion.
The Hillbilly can run faster and longer and he's 115%.
I don't care if you guys have to nerf Frenzy, just make Legion's base speed faster.
Or alternatively, make the Legion pin add-on series increase base speed. Anything will do.
-
Okay, I have spent a fair bit of time playing Legion recently so I know some good perks and add-ons as well.
In terms of general add-ons @HatCreature has the right idea. The pin series is a joke and while the rulers seem useful you'll more often than not run out of Frenzy just as you get close enough to strike. So in general stick to extending the duration.
Next you will need to know a little more about Feral Frenzy. I originally thought it was just a movement ability with a twist, but it is a little more than that. While in Feral Frenzy you can still interact with lockers and generators so you can use that to your advantage. Furthermore the perk "Franklin's Demise" still knocks items out of survivors's hand even in Feral Frenzy. Using this logic I imagine that the perk Sloppy Butcher works in a similar way. Most importantly, from my experience the "Exposed" status effect does not affect the damage from Feral Frenzy. So you can't down people with NOED while in a frenzy.
One of the main things you need to keep in mind is that most players don't heal when faced with a Legion by default. This let's you properly utilise the power of the Sloppy Thanatophobia combo. The longer healing times combined with the debuff from Thanatophobia is excellent at buying you time. If you choose to stack HEX: Ruin you can slow the game down considerably.
Finally, for perks in general you should keep an eye out for:
- Monitor and Abuse
- Enduring
- Spirit's Fury
- Thanatophobia
- Sloppy Butcher
- Franklin's Demise
- NOED
If you have to prioritize any of the above perks then focus on Thanatophobia #1 Monitor and Abuse #2 and Sloppy Butcher #3
(As a final note, if you're having a bad day, stacking both knife add-ons and Sloppy Butcher make healing awful as mending is super long and so is normal healing.)
-
this is so random.....but have y’all noticed that when you play killer and your picking up a downed survivor, the killer literally reaches in the deepest bowels of the survivors butt crack to pick them up for the animation lol I wish they pulled them up by maybe their back or something, that way I don’t feel like I’m violating everybody haha!
-
I remember I played a match as Hillbilly a week or so ago, having just gotten to rank 5 mind you. I swapped out HEX: Ruin for Tinkerer just to see: ",How bad could it really be?"
It was that bad.
The flashes and noise notifications still echo in my head.
I think I managed to get one kill by rev camping a hooked person by an open gate.
The rank isn't too bad honestly as you get enough points and some games last longer than others. But yeah, HEX: Ruin is far more important at those ranks than any of the lower ones.
-
@deathsia As much as I hate to say this, pallet looping isn't an exploit. It's annoying as hell and if you're playing as the Huntress on Ormond then it's bordering on sadistic, but it still remains as the "Loud" option of Dead by Daylight.
Body-blocking is also not an exploit in most cases. If a survivor is holding another survivor hostage in a corner, yeah that is actually bad. However, taking hits to slow your advance towards a hook is not only legit, it's a way to get WGLF tokens. In fact in's the only other way to get WGLF besides safe unhooks and hook farming.
Gentapping, eh, I dunno. It's cowardly and lame but it mentally screws over the survivor in the long term as it prevents them from practicing great skillchecks.
If you do actually encounter a cheater by all means tunnel the heck out of them. Then insult them post game for losing even with cheats. Don't say anything rash that'll get you banned but rub it in their face.

Get tired of running totems because they get broken way too fast? Don't you think that instead Killers will want the totem part of the perk taken out instead since it would be more useful? Your direction of thinking is very strange and selfish.
I apologize if my statement above was poorly worded. I just want the community to actively help us uncover if the totem spawns are this predictable. If there is a pattern for finding say, HEX: Ruin the community should then talk to BHVR about resolving the issue. The title and initial post were worded with "strange and selfish" diction deliberately to rally survivors to work together against a common threat (Ruin). I play both sides and have worked my way through many Ruins. However, I'd like to see the perk last longer than a minute in the future.
-
@ClogWench said:
And y'all wonder why killers want better totem locations.
That's the weird part. On "The Game" and "Lery's Memorial Institute" totem spawns are actually random. But on most other maps there's a pattern for some reason.

when that toxic survivor who last second switched to a flashlight misses his DS and then ragequits on the hook.
just had exactly that happen and i laughed so hard xD
This, but you have Franklin's so they lose the item.
-
Okay, Sprint Burst and Flashlight are the basics.
Just grab a really bright flashlight and when he uncloaks shine the light straight into his torso and then use SB to GTFO of there. This causes him to get stunned and then give you a huge headstart.

As much as I would love DC punishments, how about we fix the infinite loading screen first?
We shouldn't be forced to endure a wait penalty because of a bug that's out of our hands.

@Peasant I’ll admit I was, but I chilled out on it. But now that you’re never sleep boi we can stab you 28 times. :D
Mate, I'm focking Quentin! Do you know how many needles are in my Emergency Aid Kit? More importantly, do you know what's in those needles? You step to me and I'll show you some real nightmares ya edgy punter.

@GrootDude said:
@Peasant you aren’t a legion anymore? :O
The mask is off.
Besides, some idiots were waving the Legion pin around too much. You're not a Cop, that's not a badge, put that thing away!
-
Gen rushing is usually accomplished by splitting up and have 1 survivor on three different gens while 1 guy loops the killer as long as they can.
Your best perks then for faster repairs alone are Resilience and This Is Not Happening.

@PiiFree said:
@Carpemortum Do you see another Billy? I'm alone mate, that's my signature now.
@Peasant I'm not against the Legion trend, I'm against the trend of posting pictures after every post because it makes reading threads painful since most of you guys post nonsense just to have a reason to spam the pic in every thread, plus I think it's very childish and immature but that's just my opinion.
Well I'm glad you are honest and open about your disdain for the pins. To be honest, I feel the same way.

@PiiFree You're a Hillbilly not a hipster, why are you so against the Legion pin trend that I think only 3 people have been doing?
(I know I posted a defaced smiley pin as a joke but that's the first time and probably last time I will leave a signature.)
-
So is anyone else a little disgruntled with the forum change?
We've lost the ability to respond to specific parts of quotes and use bold and italic text all because some people just had to have different colored font.
-
Stack SB with Double Knife combo on Legion to slow the game down "Just a little bit."
-
Wait, OP, did you have the perk Saboteur even equipped? The perk causes sabotaged hooks to stay broken for a whole extra minute. If you were using just the toolbox it's no wonder that you saw hooks respawning frequently.
-
Did you consider that the killer might have been using the perk Hangman's Trick which causes hooks to respawn very quickly?
-
@LycanCHKN @Eveline I mean a while back the devs said that they'd add leader boards. So whenever that happens you'll get bragging rights, I guess?
-
Survivors can walk out of the exit gates while healthy or injured, why should the dying state be any different?
-
What exactly does this have to do with lore?
-
The community is always glad to see some transparency. I can't wait until this little bug is all behind us.

Eh they’re childish. What do you do with childish people? Ignore them. I get your frustration, and I would’ve been laughing if this happened to me tbh. (If I was in your position.)

I've also noticed that many quotes are still entirely white boxes. This will be resolved, right?
-
Just smack whoever got saved and then pursue the other guy. The other guy doesn't get his full reward and gets an emblem punishment and the unhook victim still buys you time while a buddy runs over to heal.

@Eveline said:
If players are polite I don't tunnel, camp etc. Even if they all could escape.
If they are toxic everything goes.
As a survivor, If killer tunnels me for no reason after unhooks, I'm going to use every dirty trick possible to make him miserable.

Cross play might be a distant possibility for Switch, PC, and Xbox. But Sony HATES cross play so the PS4 folks are trapped unfortunately.

Just bring the buzzer.

So apparently some folks are actually getting freaked out by the Legion pin icons. If you guys could try and only use the picture in your initial post in a thread, that'd be great.
-
The image itself is harmless, but when there are many of it, the creepy atmosphere is created. So I'm speaking to all the legions here!
All right, I'll see what can be done. Being scary is all fun in the context of the game but we shouldn't be freaking you out in real life.
Your complaint has been noted:
Sincerely a Legion main.
-
I just had a horrific revelation. What if the new killer is the sad love child of the Wraith and Nurse?
The killer can change between a mist state and a solid state. He can go through walls while "Cloaked" in the fog state but must "Uncloak" into solid state to hit survivors.
-
@Huad Could you be a little more specific when you say "chat"?
Are you asking for a voice chat or a text chat?
All you said what that you wanted a chat for communication, which could be either of the two above choices.

For some reason whenever I play Legion I find myself listening to either "Life Will Change" (P5 OST) or "One Way, or Another" (Blondie).

A shapeshifting mechanic would not work in End and would be terrible for the game
You say that like the developers haven't released disliked powers before.
-
I'm putting my bet on the new killer being a Shape shifter.
-
I think that new killer will be a shape shifter.
Faith can mean religious faith, but it could also be used in place of trust.
"Have faith in your team."
The censer merely hides the killer while they change.
Plus the "look for a light" could mean looking for an ally.
-
I'll bet 500 Iridescent Shards on the new killer being a Shape shifter.

@Delfador said:
Some people say it is another 110% ms killer and whine about it but I don't understand. All of 110% ms killers except for the legion is top tier and have cool powers.
I really hope it is another 110% ms killer with a really cool power honestly. I am pretty sure they got their lesson from the legion and this killer will be more about skill or strategy.
Some folks have speculated that this newest killer might be a shape shifter.
1.) Death of the Faithful
- Death of religious people
or
- Death of people who trust their allies/ have faith in them.
2.) The teaser has the killer's torso covered by smoke. They could've just had the arm protruding from the edge of the photo and the smoke going inwards but a choice was made to cover the body with the smoke.
3.) The smoke imagery could be a reference to "smoke and mirrors" otherwise know as illusions.
