These days I seem to ‘main’ Killer only because a vast majority of my daily rites are Killer rites.

yeah, i think the game aint have enough killer players so the daily rituals are a way bhvr can get more people and speed up queue times, survivor dailies are defiantly more rare

    they're still not fine.

give them a 15 second long animation, that cannot be cancelled, and can be grabbed, and interrupted on hit, for an escape for one person only, and then the hatch moves afterwards, whether the escape is successful or not, and i'll say keys are fine. that or pay me £300, i do in fact take cash bribes.

mabye not 15 (10)? seconds, tho i do think it should move , tho when its interrupted it reset so you can still cancel it, but have a penalty to do so

  • @deckyr said:

i play both sides and i disagree with you in one place. keys are not fine in any way.

no, i won't elaborate, because i'm not arguing about this - with you, or with anyone else. keys are not fine, full stop.

everything else has its place though, it's true. even teabagging.

i should of elaborated, i meant keys like on a 1 person escape ect, or using it to walk through a killer, or simply the addon type aura reading

  • @Seraphor said:

Agreed. Making it applied regardless of where the killer is was unnecessary. Instead they should have just changed 'terror radius' to 'within 32 meters'.

yes, hope it applies to victor 2

This is also taken into account:

Blight J-flick Before it was taken away.

Addons Limited based on each Killer. I.E Tournament wise for Addons to make it balanced,

So no... Oni does Not get access to Topknot..

Or Hag with Mint + shackles

jflicking still in the game, infact its easier to do than ever, its like the pallet bug they said they "fixed it" but its still there

Just adding to the pile of killers are too strong posts, maybe the devs will actually do something if enough people say something.

First of all this isn't a rant this is an opinion forged by nearly all my games with and against players who advertise they stream on twitch.

Ok so firstly most of the twitch players always pick Nea and bring a flashlight to bait killers but ultimately can't loop and end up with a hatchet or machete in the face within the first five seconds of the match to top this off they bring dead hard don't get me wrong a good perk but they use it to attempt flashlight saves seen this done on a certain YouTuber can't remember who it is but pretty sure it's Tru3, anyway the point is they end up screwing it up so much that it's just painful to watch.

Next up we have the I'm not gonna do anything twitchers these twitch players are worse than the one above you're recording a match of you hiding all game and occasionally breaking bones or tapping a gen this kind of match is when I wish the survivors could offer up a teamate to the entity who is actually just hindering you.

Next we have the I'm gonna run perks that help me get hatch twitcher these often run perks such as self care or inner strength, Spine chill, urban evasion and that bill perk that lets them see the hatch oh and they often bring a map or key to aid in their hatch hunting endeavours.

Now for killer playing twitch players I only have 1 that really confuses me the one that camps and tunnels from the get go you're recording something or going live to get views so you camp and tunnel this is just a ######### moment.

Occasionally you get good twitch streamers but not enough to outnumber the idiots. Also if you go back and watch their streams of your game they spend the whole game mocking you but look at their views and they got 0 but they out here acting like they matter lol.

I'm sorry if you're a twitch content creator who promotes themselves you are most likely one of these categories the really good ones just leave a link in their description I find.

Had a ttv today, not gonna name names, but my sister joined his twitch to watch, and while i got on first hook he was trying to moonwalk across the map while a teammate was beain chased the whole time I was on hook and another was on the gen, i died on that first hook, while the obsession claws were obviously saying the other guy was beain chased, he than went and called us trash because we died, and "my teammates aren't doing any gens" severely pissed me off, I almost got salty

  • it dosent exist on pc either sad,

  • @Jmang1245 said:

I mean, what are you guys thinking? Hide Somewhere so it wastes one of the killers perks and denies them pressure in the early game.

nah rather get gens done, if a survivor gets chased theres no reason not to hop on a gen, especially trapper or hag since they will probs spend time preparing traps while corrupt is going on

I recently started playing a lot of Meg, which I enjoy and have spent lots of money on cosmetics, but I don’t know if I want to main her.

I like playing unpopular characters and being “unique” but most survivors that aren’t played much are because they are ugly or have bad cosmetics.

    • I want a survivor that is not on the super popular side
    • Good cosmetics and a range of them
    • not Jane or Quentin

    who should I main

Claudette Honestly she has such cute outfits, people only hate the p3s and selfcaring in a corner types, but if ur not ur fine, ace is just hot

Same. It could start in larval form and molt into a more powerful adult form.

Anytime you want to use self-care bring a medkit..don't complain that your teammates are bad when you could bring a better perk than self-care. It upsets me when people bring self care and no items don't run self care use a medkit. Also if the killer has sloppy butcher have a teammates heal you instead of healing in front the teammate by a gen.

Sorry for the rant...self care is dumb perk which makes bad survivors.

    yeah just bring bond

A lor of people still think Clown is weak. Of course its all opinion based but I want to know why everyone thinks that is so because I find him really fun and strong. Maybe it's my very aggressive build which I find to be his best play style. I use Fire Up, Save the Best For Last, Brutal Strength, and Ruin so I just decimate everything in my path and Ruin helps with the gens. I usually run ruin by itself on most killers because I think its good like that. Might be just because I'm A natural good chaser as well so combine that with Clown's power and those perks makes me pretty unstoppable which give me more time to patrol gens since I end chase ludicrously fast. But ya know, I wanna hear why everyone thinks he is weak.

Never understood how people think he's weak, most survivors have a hard time in chase with him (from what I've seen , mained him before twins) and now that he has the yellow bottles he's just become better, definitely mid tier not low tier like people say

Everybody talks about some sort of operation health, and everyone also shuts down the idea due to the fact that it won't make much money, apparently. So, while I may not know much about game development, the cosmetic/map side of development seems a little separate from the programming side. Especially seeing as how amazing the appearance of the game is, yet how subpar the actual gameplay tends to be.

So, that brings a little idea:

    Would you rather see:

    • A continuation of how DBD currently releases chapters, just a normal chapter as per usual

    OR

    • A chapter focused on creating new cosmetics for previous characters (and not just Very Rare tier cosmetics), adding new maps to chapters that lack them, and fixing existing bugs/polishing gameplay

I know this probably isnt how it works, but I think a path like this would be heavily preferred by the players for a a quarter of the year, if it were taken.

yeah would like to see new maps for, chapters, and give some chapter that have 1 map more variatons, subrealms

Addrenaline specifically, I think it's design is kinda outdated. Instaheals kinda went the way of the dodo when the antihemhorragic syringe got nerfed to heal over time. I think Addrenaline should function the same. I think that ignoring exhaustion and getting a speed boost is fine, but I think you should heal over the course of 15 seconds, instead of instantly. Maybe have it reduce the heal time for each gen you personally repair, to incentivize helping with gens more.

I kind of disagree, its a waste of a perk slot right now anyways, nerfing it would make it kind of bad , also right now I haven't seen an adrenaline in ages, last one ive seen while playing killer was when trickster first got released

  • @Blueberry said:

-Project fixing the games lack of perk diversity-

Predator- Walking footsteps are 50% louder

Light Weight- Walking footsteps are silent and running footsteps are 75% quieter.

Dance with Me- Drop the cooldown down to 20 seconds and extend the duration of no scratch marks to 4 seconds.

I'm All Ears- Drop the cooldown down to 20 seconds.

Mad Grit- Survivors hit while carrying also don't get a sprint burst from being injured.

Spies from the Shadow- Instead of triggering from crows within 36m, it now triggers on crows outside of 36m.

Boil Over- Hides all hook auras.

Calm Spirit- Also hides all movement and sound from environmental terrain. IE you don't move grass or make sound going through grass etc etc

Technician- While working on a gen it is silent, no range requirement. IE if you're working on it and the killer just drives by and listens without actually looking at it, it will sound like it has no progression on it. Only hides the sound when solo on a gen.

Visionary- Gen auras within 32m are shown to all survivors. Remove the disabling effect from it.

Wake up- While active, gate sounds and light indicators are all hidden from the killer.

    Blood Echo- Remove the cooldown.

Coulrophobia- When survivors leave your TR the effect lingers for 15 seconds.

Blood Warden- If a survivor is hooked once the gates have been touched Blood Warden will activate when opened. Hooking a survivor after Blood Warden has been activated will add 15 seconds more of blocked time.

Deerstalker- Also slows recovery time on the ground by 20%

Dying Light- Removing the healing speed bonus for the Obsession.

Hex: The Third Seal- Blindness status effect also hides survivor portraits. This makes it more difficult to see how much pressure the killer currently has out on the rest the team. Also remove the location ping when a survivor is hooked, this defeats the entire point of not seeing their auras.

Hoarder- Shows auras for 5 seconds when interacting with a chest or item instead of a location ping. When this activates the killer gains Undetectable for 15 seconds.

Insidious- Remove its current effect. When a survivor is unhooked and you are at least 32m away gain the Undetectable status for 20 seconds.

Iron Maiden- Remove the exposed, it's literal just a meme. Instead the killer gains Undetectable for 60 seconds when a survivor leaves a locker. The point of this is so it could actually get repeat value as it wouldn't immediately tell everyone what you're running after 1 activation, never to be seen again. The reload speed can remain.

Oppression- Drop the cooldown to 40 seconds.

No Way Out- While active, every 10 seconds you get a location ping of all survivors.

Remember Me- While opening a gate survivors auras are also revealed.

Thanataphobia- Up the percentage from 5% to 7% per survivor.

Monstrous Shrine- Remove its current effect. While a survivor is hooked in the basement and you are at least 32m from the hook you gain the Undetectable status effect. This rewards basement hooks but encourages you to leave the basement instead of camping them.

Mind Breaker- Up the Exhaustion time from 5 to 15 seconds.

Overwhelming presence- Remove its current effect. While a survivor is using an item and for 15 seconds after they gain the Oblivious status effect.

Thrilling Tremors- Remove the cooldown. Allow it to only activate on a survivor once perk down. This removes the unnecessary cooldown without allowing for abuse.

Trail of Torment- Cooldown dropped to 30 seconds.

Coup De Grace- Remove its current effect. Now it starts the game with 5 tokens and works as a reverse Fired Up. You gain 5% increased lunge on attacks per token. Each gen completed removes 1 token. This makes it very strong early game and periodically get weaker as the game goes on until it's totally dead at end game.

Cruel Limits- Make the blocked windows be within a 32m radius of the killer, not the completed gen.

Dark Devotion- Up the Undetectable duration from 30 to 60 seconds.

Beast of Prey- Remove its current effect. After dropping chase gain the Undetectable status effect for 15 seconds.

Brutal Strength- Kicked gens also regress at 200% of normal regression speed. Basically Ruins rate of regression but only on individual gens you've kicked and only until they've been touched.

Fire Up- Raise its 4% per gen completed up to 7% per.

Hangmans Trick- Raise the aura reading range to within 10m of any hook while carrying.

Hope- The timer is paused when you are unable to benefit from the haste effect. IE on the hook, slugged, healing etc.

No One Left Behind- Allow the bonus blood points to go over the cap.

Poised- In addition to its current effect it also hides scratch marks for 3 seconds any time you let go of a generator.

Red Herring- Allow the survivor to pick which gen the sound notification goes off on similar to how Freddy targets which gen to teleport to.

Camaraderie- Applies not just in the struggle hook phase, but now also during first hook if the killer is within 16m of the hook.

Breakdown- Now also shows the killers aura to you for 6 seconds when any survivor is taken off a hook, not just when you are.

Tenacity- You are also silent while on the ground.

Up The Ante- Luck now also increases the chance of getting skill checks.

Left Behind- Now also causes 2 hatches to spawn when you are the last survivor remaining in the trial.

Distortion- Also hides all sound notification pings you would generate.

Bloodhound- It's current effect is baked into the Hemorrhage status effect. Bloodhounds new effect shows blood auras at a 5m range. This is to say you will see the aura of drops of blood on the other side of walls.

I will be continually updating and adding more to the list.

Numbers are to be determined, just focus on the concept itself.

"reversed nerf of victors, snowball potential" that's all i want to see

6 games in one day ds let someone escape, ds itself is fine, it counters tunneling which is nice, but ds in egc is different.

ds in egc is basically a free ticket to play as dumb as you want, you can run in and get hard read by a rank 20 killer and THEY get punished for grabbing you, survivors can play as dumb as they want without consequence, its dumb and i definetly think they need to do something to ds during the egc, but since its bhvr and it took them 4 years just to nerf ds, tell me any ways to counter ds

Dang, but in all seriousness, I don't think it needs a further nerf, after the nerf finally made it an anti tunneling perk, any farther nerf would render it almost useless (since ds really doesn't stop tunneling anyways)

  • @Drixpy_Jayyy said:

Honestly this perk is making me not want to play killer anymore because this perk robs me from getting an easy down/hook and literally saves survivors behind. I know to respect it and stuff but survivors can STILL time it right when you respect it. I honestly hate that perk more than decisive.

Never understood the desicive hate, its not gonna stop anyone from tunneling, only had one game that ds stopped me from getting a kill

  • @Drixpy_Jayyy said:

    what are your thoughts.

right now it seems to be more balanced then ever, and i have a fair challenge playing both sides, with current bugs (killer sided, pallets)

the new maps looks very nice for both sides, not as easy to get lost in the corn

  • Haddonfield for survivor sided

Game is horrible for both sides

Grave of Glenvale for killer sided

  • @Drixpy_Jayyy said:

I just keep seeing those same survivors over and over and im like where are the janes, jeffs, etc. Most people would probably say because of their toxic looking cosmetics or being able to blend into the environment

jane and jeff, dont have nearly as many cosmetics as the others you mentioned, and Claudette is cute (not the new version tho, sad face), and female survivors tend to be easier to hide with, tho i think they have louder moans of pain if i remember

  • I wanna kick a gremlin, tho I suppose victor deshayes is an option

Edit: accidentally typed lick instead of kick made it sound wrong

Was just playing Hag won easily. But I definitely saw the suffering others could have. House of pain into good pallet into killer shack into good pallet into two story house. And so on. I'm surprised more people don't complain about this. And the people who believe maps are becoming deadzones forget about this place. What is everyone's thoughts on Badham? I suspect after the Haddonfield changes everyone's gonna be dead set on this map.

playing killer (more specifically twins) this is one of the maps i prefer, but as survivor i despise this map,

  • @miketheratguy said:

If these changes are mandatory, isn't that going to kind of waste a lot of the money that people have paid for cosmetics? If I don't like the way that Nea looks, just as an example, I'm not going to buy any cosmetics for her. But I already have, so now that's wasted money - cosmetics that I used to make a character look more appealing, which are now being used on a character that no longer looks appealing.

I mean, how are they actually even going to do that, anyway? Aren't they going to have to go back through and alter every single cosmetic head? Which reiterates my point: I paid money for them because of how they looked, with the expectation that they wouldn't randomly change sometime in the future. Has anyone discussed this?

Cosmetics change to unfortunately, hopefully there's an option in the future for the og looks

  • Yeah only good change there making tho p3 Claudette will probably still suck

  • @xxxGODKINGxxx said:

this is just a suggestion, most games are way to fast at high ranks, and some are too slow at low ranks, due to some immersive players who refuse to do gens

what if we increase the gen timer from 80 to 200 or more (some testing would need to be required)

BUT the gens will slowly become done by themselves kind of like how regressing a gen work just in reverse at maybe 1/4 the speed.

so if nobody works on a gen and the killer doesn't kick it. it would automatically be finished after 800 secs passes which lets face it is a very long time but not holding the game hostage long

killer kicks could pause the automatic work done on gens and no longer regress (to regress would need a perk like PoP)

ruin could get a change so that all gens do not auto progress

I get that the super immersed players would still make the game terrible but they do that anyway.

Gen speed is fine, and faster killers will have a horrible time any slower survivors will have a horrible time, gen speed is so good right now in my opinion, and there are many perks to change it up that slow down ,regress, ECT and some that speed up, block from regression, ect it's all up to how both sides play it

  • @Pixel_BoomBot said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2148192#Comment_2148192

I mean the devs could add a text bubble mechanic for the main lobby and end game screen. Click a button to say "GLHF" or "GGWP". That would be a good substitute. And both killers and survivors can see it. Plus console players can use it as well. :)

Nah I don't think so, that just feels stale, and has no feeling to it

  • @DonZwiebel said:

Removing the endgame chat would be one big step in the right direction. :)

Eh not really, it's fun to interact with the killer or survivor fter a game with a gg, or compliments, or if the killer is low rank give them build ideas ect,.

But then there are the toxic killer and survivors who use it to bully but I don't see that as much as I used to

Nooo, Dead Hard is easy to bait out. Head On is impossible--you don't even know if the survivor is in the locker! I don't have the time of day to check every locker before I carry a survivor. I'm getting genrushed enough as it is!

If ur chasing them and the suddenly disappear, and you allready know they have head on then.... Start baiting (like ur post)

  • Worst are

*Fengs, onsie Elodies, neas, Felix, and lisa's

    Least Toxic

    *Cybill's Claudette (p3's are an exception), Tapp's, Kate's and Jeff's

Have you seen Head On? There are so many lockers on the map. Survivors could be hiding in any one of them, and they can stun you while carying a survivor if you walk past the one they are in.

If you get head on stunned once , just be careful when you chase the person again, headon is so easy to bait out
