Despite initially hating The Twins A LOT, some weird masochistic part of me has been patiently, persistently playing them whenever I’ve needed a break from my other mains. And after an amount of abysmal matches too high to count, my Twins games have improved a lot.
Here are some things I’ve learned.
- I don’t care anymore if a survivor kidnaps Victor. If they want to willingly remove themselves from participating in their objective, fine. In fact in a lot of cases, except where Charlotte was already close by after a successful pounce, I don’t even bother searching out whoever Victor was attached to. If I come across them, so be it.
- It’s an absolutely fantastic trap to switch Victor back to Charlotte during a difficult chase, then quickly back to Victor. Many survivors cannot resist the opportunity to try and crush idle Victor, only to put themselves in a very vulnerable position if the switch is fast enough.
- I still find being repeatedly crushed by survivors that are experts at dodging Victor’s Pounce very frustrating. But now when this occurs early on I switch Victor to sentry mode, hidden away near high traffic areas. Often this results in the same survivor behaviour, and opportunity, as the above stated trap.
- It’s incredibly satisfying using Charlotte to completely block certain access points, at select loops before unleashing Victor on a survivor. It just feels great to pounce on a Survivor that has just put themselves in a “dead end”.
I usually hit with Charlotte first, using victor first is harder
(No blood pools or grunts of pain)

Buff Huntress, but fix her hitboxes, she seems to run off completely broken hitboxes rn

"Good" isn't the way I would describe it, in the same sense that you wouldn't call the Friday the 13th franchise good. Enjoyable and fun yes, good, no not really. It's what you get out of a slasher, you get to watch a bad guy kill even worse people in horrifying but interesting ways, and it's quite fun for that. The story is probably better than I think because of the translation team, I guess they were trying to be Ghost Stories dub the manga version.
the problem i have with the translation team is that they straight up are just actual racist, seems to be only for this manga tho there other translations are quite good. mabye they got bored

No, it is not. You just can't use Dead Hard or Lithe. I don't see a problem with that.

I know how dedicated you are to Clown, so if it is you who is saying then I believe. Still, I don't think it was necessary to remove them. Exhaustion add-ons are nice.
but unbalanced

I was just in a match as the Twins and a thought came to me while a survivor was kidnapping Victor, they shouldn't be allowed to drop pallets. It would fix the kidnapping issue in a big way.
Thoughts?
i Main twins, Charoltte and Victor Deshayes are the only killers i really play other than mabye clown every once and a while, they defiently need some buffs like mabye a slight boiled over affect (i mean slight litterly if it was as massive as the perk it would be 2 strong), but to stop them from dropping pallets is not the way to go at all...stop them from vaulting, allready throw down pallets, mabye, but thats about it

They are both high mobility killers and can end chases fast, which are the two things I’m most concerned about when picking my new main. I just hit rank 1 for the first time with M1 killers and I want to eventually main one of these two once I have enough blood points to get a build on one of them. If you were in my position and didn’t have much experience with either of them yet which one would you choose to play extensively/main and why?
Nurse is considered the second strongest killer to most people, some say strongest, so if ur going for that is say nurse, blight is only really strong if you use an exploit to cheese some hits

I don't consider swf cheaters, but they have a slight advantage either "over alturistic" or "comms" suppose you could have both

Please; lets discuss about this perk I made. (yes the icon is made by me lol)
i say the speed increase only affects survivors you took a hit for and make it like blood pact speed so not that much, and dosent stack with other people running the perk
also the aura reading on generators totems and exit gates, should be very small (mostly totems everything else could have about the range you suggested) so its not to powerfull
everything else feels fine
make it like a devour hope, so the more safe unhooks you get the more things you unlock, like auras first, then speed ect ect

there's so many spirit players because she's broken, and has no counter play, unless you have iron will and for some reason she didn't bring stridor

Exhaustion needs worked into the balance of the base game. These perks should alter an extant ability, not add distance to chases.
should they tho, there meant to be strong, and its not like you can use them multiple times in one chase, unless you run vigil and the killer is just bad
there like hex perks, restrictions but strong

eh, Mmr should fix this and rank rewards, so no i dont think that would be great

oh they started running because they could see me coming a mile away. oh i'm 110 with a power that doesn't work well in indoor maps. oh all the gens are done because it's a SWF and they're efficient with their time. oh.
your problem is the killer, on any other killer you would be fine

they see you depending on your terror radius. if they're outside of it, they can see you. it has a max range of course, but that doesn't really matter.
and with M&A on trickster, your terror radius is 16 meters. meaning they can see you pretty much all the time. hell. no.
but you can also see them , so they should be close enough were it shouldnt matter

rank 1 SWF, all players with a few thousand hours in dbd
VS.
rank 7 ME with 370 hours in dbd (plays surv mostly)
my braincells were literally burning after this match-
pls rework your matchmaking system ASAP, its horrible.
push through my dude, dudette? playing killer is a great experience that helps you play the other side better, vice versa, and facing a swf helps you deal with them in the future, it painful and awful i know, but it will help in the long run
-
@Soulslayer618 said:
based on some threads here on the forum and all the depth we go into with ability perks and lore what would yall think of dbd with an alternate game mode or a full spinoff game by BHVR where its the reverse
survivors turn to fight the killers or just the characters swith roles
I just really like this concept and you all have such amazing ideas so I think itd be friggin awesome
i think instead, we should have comics about there backstory, and mabye there first interactions with survivors, or survivors facing killers for the first time, or even what it looks like when a new survivor enters the realm, how do they greet them , train them, first impressions ect

smart people who use object just hold W when they see you coming. and because I was M&A trickster on an indoor map it means that i might as well just DC because they could see me all the time.
so i did immediately when i loaded into the match and saw them.
well first problem is playing trickster, they only see you when you are a certain distance away, after that its up to your tracking ability

I rarely play Killer anymore anyway. It’s not fun to me. And I can only play at night and no joke all I ever get is SWF or Twitch streamers who are all red ranks while I’m rank 13. It’s just not fun anymore. I play a match or two, realize why I don’t like it, then move back to survivor.
to me playing killer is a great opportunity to play better as survivor, the best players play both sides to get better at the other vice versa

isn't object just an easy time finding survivors? thats why i like when survs run it, the ones that do are usually over cocky anyways

there's WAY less DS in the survivors builds, they still run unbreakable which is fine but the fact this combo is pretty much gone feels so good, I don't tunnel more than I did before, but just the fact it happens way less than it did before feels amazing, my killer experience improved since the nerf, I don't play like a ######### and tunnel every survivor, that's not how you stay rank 1, but just the fact it'S way less likely to eat a DS because you down one hook one come back find the unhooked when it's the only one you saw and not get a DS feels good.
i mean its still a goodperk, i dont think ive ever seen a person give up on tunneling because of ds tho

There’s no getting better against a 4 man SWF if you’re using one of the weaker killers. I was using Demo and couldn’t even get anyone.
trust me man, i used to dread going against a swf, but now that i have faced many of them, its becoming easier and easier, and i can say about 70% of the time i get a 4k (as the twins , without camping/tunneling) you get to realise *most* swf are cocky and over altruistic , and you can use this to your advantage, also if you get someone in the basement try and put the portal at the top of the stairs so you have time to teleport before they get up
-
@Dragonshensi said:
If I’m not enjoying the match, going against a 4 man SWF who I can’t even land a hit on. I think after a certain point I just want to leave. Congrats. You beat the will for me to play out of me. Half the time people won’t leave when you’ve given up. Instead they want to tbag and be litte dicks. Or be toxic. At least if you want to give up as survivor you can always die on hook. Unless we want a time penalty, Killers just have to suffer through it.
Theres a Dc button, but in all seriousness, if you dont try and win even if your going against a sweat swf, your not going to get better at going against said Swf, so its a learing oppurtunity, all be it a stressfull one

She has insane mobilty and is great at pressuring gens that are higher up
she has exceptional chase potential and is by far the best killer at getting downs
She has the best snowball in the game besides maybe oni
i don’t see how this is balanced
nurse has counter, spirit really doesn't

Realistically Short knives were thrown by Shinobis to stun opponents in a sword fight, also if 8 knives were thrown at you, you would react right?

When will you ever need Main event?
He is literally horrid, the survivors are NOT threatened whatsoever by his knives
i mean theres no reason main event should go away for no reason, so atleast thats would be a buff if it stayed until used
-
@Killing_Time said:
I don't think they'll buff his movement speed or his power. I do believe his perk for the exit gate will most certainly be nerfed. Bank on that.
if anything starstruck should be nerfed to only people in ur terror radius at the time of picking up, other perks are fine as is tho
-
there not Kunai btw, also they should not stun survivors,
the tinnitus at main event is really nice and sounds great (opinion)
Main event cooldown is fine, just should be able to use it whenever and not it going away if not used

@sad_killer_main said:
I've just woken up and had this idea, out of the blue, and I ran to the forums before I forget it because it's such an interesting one.
What if we had a killer whose power was mind-controlling/possessing survivors?
Like, imagine pressing your power button, and start controlling 1 survivor, the one you chose.
To make it more interesting they can't know you are mind-controlling them until you decide to start acting.
Of course, you aren't going to "infest" their body just to press W and M1 on gens, you'll gain new abilities on the survivors you possess. You could control their movement and what they do for a limited amount of time, of course adding what I said before of gaining new abilities.
The body of the killer would have also its own M1 and ability but I prefer that the real strength of this killer comes from possessing survivors.
It would be kind of similar to the twins but instead of having a second body that is part of yours, your second body is a survivor with new abilities.
This concept would be similar to what Abathur does in Heroes of the Storm: https://heroesofthestorm.fandom.com/wiki/Abathur
Thoughts? I think this concept might be absolutely interesting for the game, adding a completely new mechanic to the game, mind control.
PS: This killer would be much more interesting than the previous ones we've had.
