You know whats crazy!? We killer mains dont even care like that, we even complain about Adrenaline. The majority of complaints come from "you guys" the ones that ######### about NOED and cry for it to get reworked! Theres Small Game, Counter Force, Detectives Hunch and a Rainbow Map in the game if your soooo worried about NOED.

The bottom line is that survivors are way too entitled, you guys just wanna rush the gens and only have to deal with Undying/Ruin then cry and call the killer that's using the perk, low skill, baby killer, garbage and other comments when NOED prox's...That is pure nonsense and ignorance! Do you guys not see your poor piss mentality? So im garbage or a weak low skill player for using a perk that activates after the 5th gen is popped or the hatch is closed end game? Do you know how stupid that sounds when survivors have Adrenaline, SWF, Kindred, Iron Will, Lucky Break and other annoying and hard to deal with perks against optimal survivors? Then to make things worse you guys have a 70%-30% advantage on maps because killer loses most maps with very few balanced ones.

You made that comment about Hydrofloric Acid to make it seem like what we are saying isnt valid when it 100% is. Your manipulating the subject to enforce your narritive, gtfo with that

idk what that hydrofluoric acid comment is, i didn't say what anything anyone said was invalid, i just said it makes me viscerally upset lmao

  • @Mister_xD said:

so what you are saying is, that you got repeatedly killed by NOED and never once thought about just destroying the totems in your next game to prevent that possibility?

that doesnt really sound like the killers fault, that just sounds like you didnt learn from your previous mistakes and kept repeating them, expecting a different outcome for some reason.

yeah you're right, i'm just going to spend time i could use doing gens, healing teammates, getting the killer to chase me around so they can do gens, wondering around trying to find rng spawned bones then doing them in case he has ONE of the 72 killer perks.

every killer has this argument, it's so stupid, noed needs a rework.

  • i see this forum is still overrun by killer mains with opinions that make me want to drink hydrofluoric acid, i shall take my leave again.

  • It is impossible to straight up remove camping, but there should be more done to give a killer no reason to ever resort to it.

Does it matter if he tells you not to post?

he gets a bit toxic when he's positing just ignore that parts of his post and focus only on the substance of what he says.

It's also the fact that most of his posts get upvotes, might just give on these forums, I've tried and just been attacked for opinions, and watched people like him attack others.

Forums are at least 60% killer mains with opinions I will never agree with. Just gonna leave, guess Shroud wins, gg man, enjoy spending your entire day on the forums telling survivors they're wrong instead of playing the game.

I could care less what you want. Your posts on the Forum are open for responses from anyone. You have a 100% foolproof way of making sure you never interact with me; don't post. I'm not going to respond to everything you say. If you make good arguments, I'll either say "good one," or say nothing at all as my chiming in would not be required. If you make incorrect statements, or rather assertions I do not agree with, I'm going to speak up. You are in the WRONG place if you think you get to decide who gets to respond to your ideas.

I mean, I feel like the site having a block option would help.

The fact that you are telling me to not post is horrible.

Because I don't want to interact with one person, but still want to show me agreeance with people and state my opinions, I should just never post?

  • @Moundshroud said:

You have a choice, keep your thoughts to yourself or put them up on the Forum. If you post here, people may respond. That is the chance you take. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. You might look up the definition of the word "forum" as I suspect that will help you understand this place a little better.

I never said people can't response....

It's the fact that we've interacted previously in a not so favourable fashion and you insta-replied to my post when you know I don't want to interact with you.

It would only be "objective" if the universe revolves around you. It is YOUR "objective" truth. Are you one of those people who believes the world began when you opened your eyes, and it will all end when you close them again? I hate to break it to you champ, but there are other people in the world and they are "real" not just figments of your imagination. They have thoughts and opinions running around in their minds too. And shocking though it may be, many of them may not agree with you. :)

I, for example, think tunneling and camping are fine, just tactics and one more obstacle I have to work around as a Player. To me, the fun is in the challenge. I assure you that I am 100% sane. Since my objective truth is different from yours, I have just proven that NEITHER of our truths is objective. Are you able to follow. The mere existence of you and I proves that our respective truths are "SUBJECTIVE."

Please leave me alone, the fact that we've previously interacted and you replied with this large of a paragraph so quickly after me posting 7 minutes ago is unnerving as heck.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2188687#Comment_2188687

    Here's the problem.

I don't see tunneling or camping as an issue.

It happens so infrequently that it is a non-issue. I've played close to 100 Survivor games in the last month and I've seen ONE person be facecamped and two or three get hardcore tunneled. That's 1/100 Survivors. That's probably near the same ratio that Killers get deathsquad SWF.

You just remember the unpleasant experiences more clearly because your brain is wired to.

Wait you're the guy that posted on my thread!

The fact that anyone has 'tunneling and camping are fine' as an opinion is insane to me.

Camping is unfun in every game, and shouldn't be in any game.

    That's objective.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181595#Comment_2181595

Yes, totems are a second objective. They do give 1K BP, which is a great incentive

not priority over gens though, if you miss one by endgame, then the killer gets a free down and camp, not fun.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181566#Comment_2181566

    Then what's the issue?

You either cleanss totems or you don't. I honestly haven't seen NOED in Red Ranks in 4 months.

The issue is survivors should be doing gens, not running around looking for unlit totems on the CHANCE they're running a certain perk?

I think most of the perceptive posters can see your agenda here.

Good luck. I hope you enjoy the game once you have more experience.

I have yet to be in a trickster game that isn't an easy 4k.

Funny thing solo is ubearable because SWF exist and devs can't balance this game around solos purely

    allow randoms to communicate

    or

alter something within the gameplay depending on how big the swf group is.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181523#Comment_2181523

    It isn't confirmed.

NOED can just not activate and it can be cleansed.

Nerfing things based on how fun they are to go against will lead to a lot of Survivor nerfs.

90% of the time if survivors see noed, they leave, you aren't going to run around trying to find the totem hid in a random spot to save one random dude.

  • @burt0r said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181460#Comment_2181460

I wouldnt put too much energy into this if I were you pulsar. From my perspective it seems this guy simply had one too many insidious camping bubba's coupled with noed and got tilted so he hopped on this forum. He didn't give you any additional perks or things that are "op" in his opinion (even after asking three times from your side, only brushing the topic aside with the explanation, "it has been said here already often enough") because only the things already mentioned made him come here in the first place.

There's a lot of killer perks, I don't have the time, or care, to list every single one I have an issue with.

I have a problem with a lot of them, even if it's small, like for example, Franklins is annoying, by no means overpowered, i just feel like a slight tweak to make it less annoying would be nice, like the dropped item has an aura if you're within 32 metres or something.

There aren't many that I consider a HUGE issue in terms of perks.

Killers themselves? Bubbas chainsaw is dumb, huntress' hatchets feel like logs half the time, the new asian dude seems OP since his buff, plag is annoying they need to do something about the whole 'don't cleanse' thing etc. etc. i really feel like i don't need to go on. My energy has kind of run out with this thread tbh.

  • @BSVben said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181497#Comment_2181497

    Fun is entirely subjective.

Nerfs are usually targeted towards aspects of gameplay that are either unintended, or that have the potential to be overly oppressive/gamebreaking.

Noed of all perks is none of these things.

I mean i'd call 'getting a confirmed free kill' oppressive but ok.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181481#Comment_2181481

Nerfing things that are unfun is not a door you want to open.

nerfing something that makes the game unfun is a controversial statement?...

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181461#Comment_2181461

Well no, comms is the issue swf isn't balanced especially when people can actually loops etc. Knowing where the killer is, which gens are close etc. Is a unfair advantage. If you feel the need to be told to do gens that's the issue, if you arent already doing your objective (your only one) then that's why you arent doing so well. If you arent in a chase be on a gen, use kindred and you'll know if you need to get a save etc. Plus extra benefits. Imo things shouldn't be handed to you, while I have a huge amount of game knowledge I do feel most survivors are way too high in ranks. 4 players like me not on coms is an easy 3man escape without meta perks. I honestly do wish you had a playback mode so you could watch your team and youd be surprised how inefficient and how often they arent doing anything. That's not the killer that's the survivors and we cant balance around that. (Seriously if you wanna get annoyed use bond, empathy, kindred and open handed and just watch how bad your team can be even at red ranks) lol

But if you could tell them what to do..... and communicate those things a swf can communicate... yeah... idk why you're saying no to my response.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181466#Comment_2181466

I've been hit by many noeds in the past. Sometimes I died because of the NOED and the rest of my team pieces out. Other times I have gotten 4 man escapes against a NOED killer.

Sometimes you will lose games for things beyond your own control. It's best to not focus on that.

NOED isn't op as you can still break the totem after it has activated. And against smart survivors a NOED killer will still struggle to pick up more than 1 down with NOED.

still unfun unless you get lucky, needs tweaking.

  • @Crowman said:

Well you seem to be relatively new to the game given the lack of devotion.

It's easy to fall in the pit of "x is too strong" espically when you don't realize how little you actually know.

Red ranks are a huge mix because it's the highest tier of ranks and not particularly difficult to reach either. You can be facing players with thousands of hours in the game and if you aren't a similar skill level as then you will get destroyed.

You just need to focus less on how broken you just perceive things to be and focus on times where you could have played a tile better.

I get plently of bad teammates when I solo survivors and sometimes you just can't win with the teammates you get. But it's always important to focus on times you could have done something better even in matches you had no chance of winning.

if you missed a totem and get one shot by noed, there's no 'outplaying' that.

Also played on console before pc.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Imo the killers arent the issue it's my team. Some reason I get players at rank 1-3 who never seem to do gens, trade hooks or cant do chases at all. Now I never expect survivors to be amazing but youd be surprised how little alot of people actually do in a match or how inexperienced they are. (One example is my team going down super fast in chases, so I expect a really good killer and then end up looping the same killer for far longer, sometimes 5min chases but once again within that long chase hardly any gen progress has been made) now that's not the killer being op that's my team being bad. I personally have yet to meet a killer I felt was op and I couldn't do anything against them. So either you arent as good as you think, the killer is a much higher skill than you or you're looking at the game as a 1v1. None of this is meant to be mean or anything but remember it's a 4v1, killers are meant to be strong (which most actually arent) as long as people are efficient most killers will lose regardless just due to gen speed, especially with gen defense. Remember rank means nothing so you could be versing an actual rank 1 killer with survivors who should be rank 10 skill wise...

This could link back to a guys earlier point, survivors need a way to communicate outside of swf, a way for you to tell your team, 'do gens'.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181431#Comment_2181431

    No worries.

Go ahead and list them, it'll give me a gauge of your skill level and it's nice to hear a fresh perspective

I just listed a couple.... I'm not listing every single one I think is too good.... They're the ones you've probably people complain about before.

  • @Dennis_van_eijk said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/249213/killers-are-op-against-4-survivors-that-arent-grouped

    🤣🤣🤣 Are you joking?

I play solo and barely have a hard time to survive 🤣

I even play from time to time with no mither to make it more of a challenge and still most of the time I don't have a hard time.

And that's as rank 1 against all killers.

So i don't see where this part of crying about is coming from tbh.

Seriously, people need to stop crying about that and look at their own playstyle.

No killer in this game is OP whatsoever.

Yes I am. If something walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... it's a duck. :) Nothing you are saying jives with that screenshot you gave us. But suit yourself. I don't recall what I was like at 300 hours, so I might have been just as pig-headed, perhaps worse. I assure you NOED isn't going away, nor are any of the things you are complaining about. You have reached a juncture where you are going to just have to adapt and move forward or cry off. If you are no longer having fun, there are other games. There will be no Deus Ex Machina from the DEV anytime soon. I'm not saying this to be mean; it is just a fact. Complaining isn't going to help you overcome these obstacles. Let us know when you actually want help.

Okay go ahead, help me with noed o' mighty one.

Your response didn't post to my last question.

    So I'll aak again.

Could you maybe try to list all of the OP perks you can think of?

    And maybe the OP abilities/

I think in the process of editing a mistake i deleted it, apologies, new to the forum. This was my post:

"Bubba is dumb, and his ability allows him way too easily to camp.

Noed punishes players for not running and cleansing every unlit totem.

Insidious promotes camping and needs a complete rework.

I'm sure the rest I'd list would have also been stated a million times."

  • @pseudechis said:

That's the whole point of the game. Try desperately to escape from the scary killer.

A fair fight is more fun to most players than getting farmed by a killer who is way too strong.

  • @Exerath1992 said:

Killers aren't too strong, SWF is too strong.

    SWF>killer>solo

If they added something to the game to give solos a bit if an edge whilst not giving SWF any more power, the game would be very balanced. The skill gap between solo and SWF is the only problem, and a simple proxy chat would help tremendously

    I agree with this.

I'm in the United States, East Coast. But we are obviously online at the same hours so we are probably pulling the same Killers. The Queues grab Killers from where ever it can. :) Look, I want to help you. I respect Survivors who play Solo and you slogging down to Rank-4 as a Solo in a short time is impressive. Your experience of being overwhelmed and frustrated now that you are fighting regular Red Ranks is not uncommon, nor is it anything to be ashamed of. Most of us have been through it. What you need to do is NOT get tilted, forget everything you THOUGHT you knew, and recognize this is a brand new ballpark with all new rules.

My ping is always green, around 30, so no, we are not against the same killers.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181392#Comment_2181392

You won't accept actual evidence you see that you are wrong? You have DECIDED what is right and nothing will sway you? That is called "willful ignorance" and is the worst thing to do to yourself. Everyone starts out in ignorance, and there is no shame in it. We only advance as we learn. But "willful ignorance" is putting yourself in a cage. We can't help you if you don't want to be helped. I notice you aren't asking for advice on how to deal with NOED in the Red Ranks. That is warning flag; it demonstrates that you care more about moaning and groaning than actual solutions. If you don't look, you won't find.

The only helping is nerfing the broken perk lmao.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how anyone can think they are balanced or fun to go against.

    And maybe the OP abilities/things?

All due respect, you see it less than you THINK you do. :) I used to think all sorts of things because our perception is largely influenced by confirmation bias. The times you do run into NOED stick out to you more because you hate it and don't do well against it. What I suggest, because it helped me, is record every game and track every Perk you run up against and graph it. I suspect that after a proper sample you will find you don't run into it near as much as you THINK you did. :) I also suspect the slaughterfest you describe isn't as total as you are projecting. Being tilted blinds us to facts. Statistically you are pulling the same Killers as the rest of us, so statistically you are fighting the same builds we are fighting.

    I'm not doing that... #########.

noed is dumb and needs to be changed, i am not changing that opinion, doesn't matter how many times I see it in games.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181373#Comment_2181373

Therein lies the rub, we don't know because you are wrong about that. I play a Red Rank Killer and I don't run Barbeque & Chili, Pop, Insidious, and only throw NOED in once in a blue moon. My standard build is Corrupt Intervention, Play With Your Food, Sloppy Butcher, and Make Your Choice. I play against a lot of Red Rank Killers too and I assure you their builds are quite diverse. Again, what you need is actual help, tactics, advice and to stop letting yourself be tilted. The route you are choosing isn't going to help you at all.

What one person plays out of the thousands and thousands plays means nothing, even if the broken perks are only played once every ten games... that's still not fun? What nationality are you guys? I'm EU.

If I had killers like that at in my red ranked games I would never leave rank 1-2 as survivor even when messing around.

I see noed every few games.

Thank you for verifying to us that you are a relatively new player by showing us your Devotion. So you recently broke through to Rank-4 and are getting overwhelmed? That makes sense. It suffices to say what you need to be doing is asking for help, not complaining about Killers being too strong.

'hewwo could i pwease have help, i dunno how to counter noed'

it's the same old 'run around the map doing nothing aside from looking for totems just in case they have noed'.

It's not a rank thing... i've hated noed and such since rank 20.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181362#Comment_2181362

    That explains it.

How long have you been playing? Level 56 indicates under 300 hours.

What are, in your opinion, the best perks for each side?

'People with below (so many hours)'s opinions don't matter'

I have below 300 total across both platforms yeah, none of my opinions are going to change in the next 100 hours.

Survivor has a lot of good perks and variety, don't know what I'd say 'the best' is, depends on if you're going for altruism or playing more for yourself.

The killer side I feel has a lot less variety, noed, pop, insidious for the campers, ruin (which i don't have much of a probably with just see it a lot) BBQ&C etc. don't know if i really need to list the ######### everyone knows.

  • also never said i ever was okay with any of the things i've stated, I just don't really use forums, for anything, ever, just wanted to add to the pile of people asking for ######### to change.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2181330#Comment_2181330

I believe you are frustrated and upset about doing poorly in the game. I don't believe your self-styled credentials. I have multiple reasons for this. For the record, I play both Killer and Survivor. I'm a Red Rank Killer who sits between Rank-1 and Rank-3 depending on the day. As a Survivor I'm not quite as good, the lowest Rank I've hit is Rank-3, and usually bounce back and forth from Rank-3 to Rank-6 depending on the day. I also play Solo MOST of the time. I'm telling you this so you understand my credentials, and why I don't buy yours.

    1. You don't talk like any Red Rank Survivor I know; in fact, you sound like a relatively new Player. You are parroting all the standard new Player complaints. You basically regurgitated all the classics, not missing a single one.
    2. You didn't talk strategies that failed, techniques, or mention specific problems. Everything you have said has been a glittering generality, all sound and fury but no substance.
    3. Red Rank Survivors tend to know how to deal with NOED and Insidious. It is a chore but not something we sit around bemoaning all the time. In fact, while there are some Red Rank Killers who use those Perks, they are far less common at the level you are claiming to play at than anywhere else.
    4. You are brand new to this Forum, with a tiny number of posts. Usually by the time someone has slogged their way up into the Red Ranks as Survivor (particularly Solo) we have heard from them long before that. It is almost as if you got frustrated and created an account to vent. Are you saying you didn't have a problem with these same Perks and issues before? I mean most people wrote novel-length complaints while still Potatoes about the things you are complaining about. Somehow you tolerated it all until now? That dog won't hunt.
    5. There is this trend that repeats itself every so often, at least once a month but usually every week or two weeks. Someone shows up demonstrating all the things I've already listed above, and claims to be a Red Rank Killer or Survivor or both because they mistakenly believe that lends weight to their arguments. It doesn't. This is a fallacy because I assure you that people don't care what Rank I am, and are only won over (or not) based on the strength of my arguments. This mistaken belief that Rank somehow lends authority to posts seems to lead people astray into fibbing about themselves. What follows is a number of long threads where it becomes increasingly clear the poster doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Someone eventually says, what is your name so I can go look at your achievements, and they vanish. I'm trying to save you that painful process.

DbD has lots of issues; any game like this is going to be a work in progress. The Killers being too strong in the Red Ranks isn't one of them. In general, the more potent Ranks sees the power balance shift to the Survivors because by this point (SWF or Solo) they know how to work together. Now, if you have some arguments to make that you can support, I suggest you do so. If not, I suggest leaving your "credentials" out of it. Whether I believe you or not is moot. Whether you are honest or not is moot. Your credentials bring NOTHING to the table. Let's hear some actual arguments backed up by something.

The fact that you think anyone with a different opinion to you is lying about being red is hilarious.

From the (very old) player spread by group(Aka how many people play solo or 2/3/4 man SWF) statistic shown us that 47% of survivors are at least in a 2 man SWF.

So the likely hood of being in a full solo lobby is astronomically rare.

2 people in a group can still be a struggle for the solos.

No, nothing like that. The biggest solo queue buff would be a working matchmaking system for one, but all Solo Queue needs imo is more information at base.

Something like a ping system, or a simple wheel that can say "I'm being chased by the killer!" And things like that. A totem counter (not from a goddamn perk, thanks BHVR), maybe even symbol icons that can tell what a survivor is doing.

Changes to make tunnelling and camping more counterable or less desirable would also help solo queue massively. Keep in mind, none of these statements are originally mine, these have been floating around everywhere.

Yes to all of this! Ping system would be cool as heck, a somewhat automated one like you stated would probably be needed, don't always have the time to say 'i'm being chased' haha

I like the idea of proximity chat, not just to make the solo vs swf experience closer, but like, that would potentially be hilarious. Could bring in a lot of big content creators for the content.

  • Never thought about it like this, what Solo Queue buff would you propose? Groupless people get a small movement speed buff?... or a progression speed buff? Or where you thinking smaller, like less chance to depip or more bloodpoints?

I mean, I don't think you're wrong - at high levels, this is really evident, while in newer ranks it feels much more balanced - but until the game addresses the power gap that comes with comms, there's few to no ways to buff solo survivors in a way that wouldn't be ruinous for killers dealing with SWFs. It's not even that this is an asymmetrical game; it's a three-way, except one of the three is a better clone of itself, so it can't ever possibly be balanced.

Killers versing an experienced SWF is miserable. Solos versing an experienced killer is miserable.

Amazing response and exactly how I feel.

  • did it really take you 7 minutes to type that Raps...

  • Because every lobby I'm in at red ranks as a solo is a complete unfun slaughter, too many strong killer perks when most of the survivor perks are pretty balanced.

The fact that perks like noed and insidious still exist in the state they're in is ridiculous.

If it's not a 4k, it's a salty bubba stood right in front of a survivors face and you have to sit there and accept your fate.
