I think the change to the rarity system makes it more likely you'll get a bunch of T2 perks around those levels because that's when you start seeing rare stuff appear in bloodwebs and the only perks that are rare are T2 perks.
Makes sense. Good catch.

What add-ons were you using?
I was using a toy sword and a tiny fingernail. Also surprisingly I got level 2 of each perk by level 20 so that was kind of nice.
I'm of the opinion that all add ons outside of medkit/affliction inducing and ultra rare offerings both killer and survivor side are placebo. Slightly/Moderately/Tremendously is really only like, 1%, 2%, 3%. I thought I'd use Victor more but it didn't work out that way. Red ranks require you to be mobile and you can't really be fidgeting around trying to position Victor and Charlotte.

Not now he can’t, sure it’ll bug on occasion but there is nothing stopping you (I’ve only gone against them once tho so if it does happen every time please let me know)
It's every time. He just pounces at the locker and clips through it. You can be downed and ridden.
-
@IPlayOniWayTooMuch said:
Fun fact: there are these things called “lockers” and when you get in them victor mysteriously walks away and goes for someone else.
Victor can get you in lockers.
-
It's a 3 minute queue for survivors in red ranks. Assuming your match last 10 mins or so it's enough idle time to play youtube vids in another tab.
I've always thought survivor was the goof off role. It's fine if you just wanna mess around but trying to force certain things to happen in the trial is a headache. Not all survivor groups want to do gens and escape. Not all know how to run the killer. Some aren't even wearing pants.
-
You're not wrong.
Edit: I think Curtain call was the last DLC that really felt 'stable'.

This. It's almost certainly a bug.
That said, the same thing happened with the MacMillan Estate rework - Trapper couldn't put his traps near Exit Gates.
People reported that to the devs, and apparently they either didn't bother to check if the same issue occurred again, or they did check and just forgot to put it under the patch notes' "Known Issues".
This is the best they can do, so I don't feel too bad. It is what it is.
-
Beautiful. 10/10.
-
I doubt it's intentional. Trapper doesn't lay his traps in wide open areas, he lays them at choke points. They should just bring back sabo traps if they're just trying to make him an M1 killer.
-
Same thing happened to me on the same map yesterday. You'd think something that spawns off of the killer's shoulders would be airborne for a second and drop down, not spawn in the terrain.
-
I'd try learning Hag. She's rare so people don't have a routine for dealing with her, but I wouldn't commit to chases with her.
Strong killer in the right hands.
-
If all 5 gens get done before you get a single hook you can just open the doors and walk out the exit gate for 5k points.
Not really but I felt like typing that.
-
Do gens. All four of you. Sit on generators. That is and always will be the way to counter any killer.

How to handle Victor 101

That's just Elodie making noise.

The season of giving is upon us in Dead by Daylight! Let’s celebrate the holidays & end of 2020 together with free cosmetics and currencies!
Follow the directions on this page ya cutie.

This is the skin from the back aka how killer players see it.

Can you post a screenshot of the cosmetic? I can't find one. Gonna be the deciding factor in whether I use shards or not.
Sure thing my dude. (I got bumped out of red ranks for playing like an idiot lol.)
This is her default btw. You can get orange and yellow head mops for the head slot in the shop.
-
One thing I like about survivor is that things can go wrong like that. Always play like you're one hook away from death - saves aren't guaranteed.
Always play like the killer has a mori too. Treat pallets and tiles seriously. It will help you.
-
I bought it, but seven dollars is nothing to me and I play the game enough to warrant it. (Even though I'm casual.)
It gives the orange shirt cosmetic to Elodie. This combined with her orange hair and black pants has made me call her the Pumpkin survivor.
This pleases me.

looking at your profile it seems your a green rank killer yourself and 90% of your posts are you just complaining about swfs and survivors bm'ing. how bout speak when your spoken too?
You're gonna make these survivor mains give themselves away to the killer mains by giggling.

Did you experience any emblem bugs when going for this Adept? The Devout emblem bugs out and only awards silver, even though the criteria for Iridescent/Gold (depending on rank) is met.
No. I didn't even realize there were issues going on until I saw forum posts about it. Everything went as you'd expect, but I got 95% of my downs with Charlotte and 90% of my hits with Charlotte. I did have a problem with the chaser emblem on the first game. Between downing people with Charlotte and Victor my chases weren't lasting long enough to iri it, and it needs to be iri since I'm imprisoned in red ranks.
Game one was iri iri iri gold, second game I got pretty poor results since it was Dead Dawg Saloon and I just always perform terribly on it, and third game was full iri.
I'm happy with my Victor as a scout strat, but I'm really solid at cutting chases short with an M1 killer. I have faith in everyone. It is possible.
-
I've played vs. Elodie and as her.
If she was any louder the soundwaves would destroy all pallets in a 500 yard radius every time she opened her mouth.
-
If you make the game free you open it up to botters, but the game is getting heavy on the DLC side so they should give more killers/survivors for free at the base game for current price imo. The older ones, y'know?
-
I just had Victor when summoned on a swamp map fall through the floor.
That's cool.

Seriously? Why are they going off those old models?? No wonder they look so weird. Thanks for the interesting info.
It's also why all killers are humanoid. They use Trapper as their base model (yes even Hag) and they work around it.
Dwight is the base for all male models, and Meg is the base for all female models. All hitbox pills are the same and everything is either a pallet, vault, exit gate, totem, chest or hatch interactable. A real noticable one is Myers used to have a more calm walk but a few patches ago Myers now walks with Trapper's default animation because something went wrong.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it. You're welcome.
Edit: Also Victor's head clips into the girls body when he looks up.
-
You guys made me look this up and investigate...sigh.
All female survivors use Meg as the base for their model, so you can tell it's just Meg's lower half with a few bells and whistles up top. It comes off in the uncanny valley because Elodie's body type...ain't built like Meg's body type if you catch my meaning. They really should have used Claudette's rig setup instead.
-
I thought they all looked fantastic. Will I be buying them? ...probably not. I really like the outfits I already have.
Doesn't detract from how good they are though.
-
The problem is not that you suck.
It is that you need to blow. Blow all the chunks.
-
Why does Dwight make every single thing in this universe better?
It just does.
-
This mostly.
-
Hiding in plain sight, and by a gen no less. The crouching bush Claudettes will never come close!
-
Just my opinion but I think because Stranger Things was such an expensive DLC compared to the others they didn't want to give the 9 perks the Mettle of Man treatment because of the well, you know what happened. So they're all kinda meh perks.
A lot of time has passed though. I'd be for giving them some actual bite.
-
I agree. We should un-nerf moris and make it mori on first down. It'd take a lot of the frustration out of the game.
-
This game puts me in the unique position of being able to meet a diverse group of people, hit them so hard they do a backflip and then skewer them on a meat hook.
What's not to love?
-
Body is 2 characters too short.
-
1) Make your steam profile private.
2) Next time you feel like giving a survivor mercy, remember all of those that insulted you, taunted you and do what you want with them. They volunteered to be your toys. Treat them like what they are.
-
My build is going to be Insidious, Discordance, Make your Choice and Ruin OR Play with your food/Nemesis.
I think this is one of the first killers that Insidious can be used offensively on. Just have charlotte look down by a generator or every once in a while and catch survivors off guard when they think you're switching characters. The rest is kind of your bread and butter so it doesn't need an explanation.
-
As someone imprisoned in the red ranks, I promise we're all not playing seriously. Expect weirdo perk setups.
If you want a serious answer, go to youtube and learn how to run tiles and common loops. Survivors won't run in a straight line anymore the higher rank you get, but they do have common paths especially around landmarks that don't change on the map.
My favorite mindgame is the one you do at the L T type wall.
Is he gonna vault? Nope. I was ready for your vault, but it turns out you actually did vault with Quick and Quiet.
I'll get you next time Gadget.

Aww thank you!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a slim tree or a tile had something in your way but it was so dark you didn't see it, because in a lot of games that come down to exit gate shenanigans I have to wiggle and check both doors closer than you'd think because something was in my way.
-
Don't hide from legion. Here's what I do:
Legion is running at me. I shall now run straight forward in the opposite direction. Sometimes that's enough. He'll tire out and go back to being an M1 killer and you handle him normally.
If he's close enough to smell your hair, do a spin by holding down right mouse click and A on the keyboard and pull your mouse in a circle to spin your survivor. Chances are the Legion will take a swing and miss. Now you're just dealing with an M1 killer.
Alternatively you can just hit ctrl on your keyboard as fast as you can to crouch repeatedly, take the hit that sends you into mending state, and while the Legion is going after his next target mend yourself and go back to repairing gens.
-
Killers everywhere would appreciate you if you commit to being downed and hooked within 15 seconds. Take it easy...relax...
-
It's a fine perk. Usually when survivors finish the last generator it's a breath of fresh air. A break in the action. Alright, we're good. Just gotta open up the exit gate. BAM. Suddenly NOED. The pressure is back on. This irritates the survivors. If someone goes down (which they will because NOED) it's less likely their team will come back for them unless they can break the totem.
For the killer if NOED activates it's your last chance to even the odds against a strong team, especially if it was a fast game and totems are still up. I think it pairs well with Blood Warden.
-
Trapper and Dwight are my bloodpoint dumps so I'll go with them. If it's not a P3 character I will level him up to 50 by grabbing perks and will not Prestige again until that character is completely out of add ons. Yes that puts me at a disadvantage at high ranks but if I'm really trying to beat I'll put my Trapper or Dwight on duty.
-What gear do you immediately go for?-
Trapper side, Purple trapper bags and ultra rare add ons. I also like black wards because it's basically 2 free add ons. I'll skip moris because I just don't ever really use them. I don't need to.
Survivor side: I'll hunt down medkits. Flashlights and Toolboxes aren't what they used to be but I run healing builds usually so a green med kit makes me that much harder to knock down. I feel most survivor add ons are trash though. Even a key only matters if the hatch has spawned, and if everyone's alive then you already won anyway. Key fears are overrrated.
-How do you (generally) treat the Entity?-
I try to grab the stuff I want immediately and just start grabbing brown add ons so I don't have to buy expensive tools I won't use.
-Are there Perks/Teachables you never go for to get them out of the way?-
If the perk is useless at rank 1, I usually won't bother. The characters that still need perks are only getting leveled to 50 and the ones at P3 50 have all the perks.
-How efficient are you with ending the Bloodweb?-
I just start grabbing brown add ons when I'm done, so pretty fast/cheap.
-And other questions i just can't think of.-
Yes.
You should prestige. Getting that slight chance of an extra good item in your web may be the difference between having what you need and not having it. Plus I like the bloody cosmetics. Yeah you can toss down twenty bucks and get something snazzy, but you've gotta put in a little work for that bloody helmet.
-
In my experience they're stealth players. They're also addicted to stepping into my traps. Detective more like trap detector looooool
-
Everything really. Moonlight offerings. Brand New Parts. Mori on first down. Being able to grab survivors out of the hatch if they waited for you by it. No window blockers after 3 vaults. Infinites. Fast vaulting from a complete stop. Old Hillbilly and Nurse.
I mean I get why they changed it, but infinites taught killers that maybe there are times when you should break chase and go for other survivors, like ones on gens.
Also most of all I miss the point pip system. Used to be you'd pip for getting 10k bloodpoints in a match. Now it has so many bells an' whistles.
Keep it simple. You kind of know what you're getting into when you start a trial up nowadays. Should you though?
I also miss the Saboteur meta where you'd get all hooks broken except for the ones in the basement so the killers had to run Iron Grasp/Agitation and survivors had to make a choice. Do you sabo all of the hooks, or do you really want to be making basement saves all game?
-
The only thing that really gets under my skin is if you're working with another survivor on a gen and the killer pushes you both towards a loop and you go the same way. So you're following behind the other survivor and he drops the pallet and locks you in with the killer for a second.
Thanks buddy. I owe ya one.

I think Inji has the cutest icon, but I don't really pay a lot of attention to the jannies.
