I'll usually go play another game like RDR 2, Kingdom Come, Death Stranding, or Payday 2 until I get the urge to play DBD again. Its ok to take breaks 😊.
-
Its a decent 6/10 because of Lightweight and Spine Chill.

Do you hate killers?

Yes. U seem to need them.
I didn't.
A) we powered all the gens
B) I told my friend to get hatch cause my door was 99'd. Legion came and FF hit me and followed me to the hatch and closed it.
C) It opened back up immediately after being closed so I had the choice of running to the gate or jumping in the hatch in the killer's face

All valid game mechanics. I dont see a problem here.
You think its ok that I had 3 second chances to escape?

Leatherface basekit is fine, it’s just Hillbilly who needs to be nerfed into the ground.

Billy does not need nerfs. I rather enjoy facing him.

Keys should be changed into something else and shouldnt interact with the hatch. I'm fine with the key add ons but the hatch should only be a last resort type deal if theres only 1 surv left since that's probably their only chance of survival even if it is rng garbage.
Hopefully they update the achievement/trophy for it as well.

Peanits doesn't control this so I don't know why you're tossing salt his way.

@Archimedes5000 said:
I think the problem is not hatch opening after killer closed it. The problem is key opening it while there is more than 1 survivior remaining.
Key should be able to open the hatch only after the killer closes it imo.
I mean, it opened twice (I didn't have a key) and at that point the killer couldn't do anything except take the L.

Key....I'm dodging

If someone is unhooked *within my terror radius*, I go after the unhooked person to either down them again or hit their borrowed time (it's a free hit either way), and then go after the unhooker. The idea is to try and cuck the cocky unhooker of their benevolence points.
If they farm in my face (or say, 16 meters around me), I definitely deny the benevolence as well.

Like could you imagine having to play in 1st person as a survivor as well? With a button to look behind you. That one little thing would change the whole dynamic of the game. It would require more teamwork, a lot less gen rushing cause you'd need someone to keep constant watch. Far more strategies other than just M1 for the win.
I wouldn't enjoy 1st person survivor as much for one simple reason. M1. Staring at at my general surroundings in third person is already boring enough.
-
@ReallyBigShoe said:
Basically, survivor logic.
Here's a tip: Even if you were camping, stop caring. Camping and tunneling are acceptable and legitimate strategies. Play by your own rules. Don't play by the invisible Killer Rulebook that was written by survivor mains. If you want to meme, play to meme. If you want to have fun, play for fun. If you want to win, kick the living ######### out of them, by any means necessary. Whether that be camping or tunnelling, or whatever you want. Turn off in game chat, ignore their foul whining. Just play for you.
Don't worry about their fun, cause I can assure you they wipe their ass with your fun. Focus on your own fun. It's not your responsibility to worry about them having fun.
Agreed here. You will get called a camper/tunneller for anything and everything under the stars.
I get called a tunneller even AFTER I obviously ignore and run PAST the unhooked survivor the the rescuer. It's best to just ignore these salty survivors, or add insult to injury by flirting.
-
Anyone who insults players in the post game chat is toxic.

Why are survivors still surprised when killers bring NOED? " Oh. You brought NOED? Oof" I brought NOED with clown and was matched with SWF with 2 BNPs. 3 and half gens were done before I got my first hook. Idk, I just find it ridiculous how NOED is frowned upon because survivors didn't cleanse totems and I'm (for the majority of the match) Just running 3 perks.
They view it as a crutch perk. Which it kind of was, back in the days of old Ruin.
Either way, it was acceptable in my opinion.

After playing a number of games, I'm seeing a theme emerge, but for the life of me I can never seem to elicit any coherent answer in the end-of-game chat. So perhaps some wise people here can explain...
As a killer, when I hook someone, and then proceed to chase another 1-2 survivors that keep running around the hook... I'm accused of camping?
As a killer, when I'm protecting my 3-gens, I'm camping?
When a survivor runs to me, and tea-bags, and I see no-one else so I oblige and chase them, I'm tunnelling?
When a survivor DC's, so naturally I'm forced to chase a smaller pool of survivors, I'm tunnelling?
When there's a survivor right in front of me, and I can see the other one or two are on the far end of the map, so I go for the obviously closer target, I'm tunnelling?
Seriously, whatever the situation, survivor's are always crying about one thing or another. And it's always the killer to blame, it's never other survivor's for DC'ing, or playing badly, etc.
And I never hear the killers complain about how the survivor's played; if anything it's only the game's mechanics (e.g. gen-speed, or key escapes, etc).
How did this game and community get to the point where survivors feel so entitled to basically moan about anything/everything, such that even BHVR takes this into account when determining game-play balance?
I guess the real question is... what would make survivor's happy? Like, for real? I get the feeling they want killers to stand in a corner, but what's the point in that??
Once you select "Play as Killer", you've become a certified tunneller.

Dude why? Why am I seeing stuff about nerfing wraith from here all the way to Reddit and Facebook. The wraith is fine. I am also deep down a wraith main from the beginning, but I’m trying to say this without bias. I think he’s fine as is and not very very strong. Granted he is mostly able to get a free 1st hit, but after that you’re just a normal m1 guy. Being a mostly m1 killer makes him require more skill as to play more without a slightly over beneficial power. If you could nerf him while giving him buffs in other areas, what would you do?
edit: for any further comments to be made, @Peanits has responded to the post
Because why adapt when you can nerf?

@Infested said:
So ruin has officially been nerfed for a decent amount of time now. I'm a rank 1 killer and Survivor but have mainly played survivor and wanted to give all my observations.
Firstly games are a hell of a lot shorter. Games used to be able to last 20 mins and were fun every survivor was chased gens were going at an ok pace and you felt like it was a challenge. Now most games are done between 5-7 mins. (The average between my games could be different) game feels stale after 2/3 games and honestly it's boring or frustrating.
Secondly rank inflation. The amount of apprent "red rank" survivors that can't even run a killer round for more then 20 seconds is kinda hilarious. It just shows that the ranking system means ######### all at this point. Also going to give my two cents on the new MMR ranking. IT. WONT. WORK. That's all.
On another note the level of abuse killers are receiving is disgusting. I solo queue and my teammates are either spamming ez, trash or straight up calling the killers out if they win. If they die due to tunneling/camping or slugging they will verbally abuse the killer in the end chat to disgusting levels. It shows how toxic this new update is and it's not fair at all. And the Devs are purely to blame for that. I report them every time and I will continue to do so some of the stuff said is actually pathetic and the Devs NEED TO ADDRESS THIS.
Finally I will say if something isn't done about gen speed or how the game is played this game will die. I know alot of people who have left the game and more seem to be doing it every day. Just look at twitch viewership. It's tanking.
I'm not asking for ruin to be changed back or anything like that. But these need to be addressed.
20 minute games are too long. 8-10 is alot better than 20. But games usually go too fast right now anyway.

And if so, what would you suggest? I think he needs a cool down on his chainsaw and some other possible movement changes. As is, and with certain add ons he can wipe a lobby, which is why all new killers love him. Let’s nerf billy!!
Dude why are you always asking for killer nerfs? Learn to loop and you'll be fine.

Static blast is better than I gave it credit save for a couple issues:
1) Incorporate this sound effect somehow https://youtu.be/f2PDTVmcM9c
2) shave 10 seconds off the cooldown
3) add very light regression to generators in the bast zone to signify electrical damage
Using it should feel like this
I only agree with and like #1.
Other than that, Doc's power is magnificent and I love it 😋

@Cotten said:
Honestly I have no problem with a lot of the killers. Sure the Doctor could use some rework ( to many passive stuff ). That said Chainsaw players who only use the Chainsaw are the worst. Billy is ok-ish on this front cause he moves in a somewhat linear way. Leather Face how ever is so broken with his chain saw and speed that I question why he has a M1 button. I would just like to see either a longer charge up or he move slower. As it is, I see no downside to him using it. He still moves fine, moves faster, drops you in one hit. I Don't know, could just be me. What do you think.
You're right. Leatherface IS broken. He's an absolutely horrible killer and needs buffs.
-
Given that its not a "specific location" perk, it doesn't need any counterplay.

Honestly, I get that her nerf was a really hard one that requires people to have much more skill when playing her, but she's still like the best killer in the game right now. Do you guys not find her fun or instead, hard to learn? my last game when i went against a nurse was a week ago and she camped me the entire game cuz i ran her for 3 gens and she dced once i was unhooked right when my adren kicked in. but honestly, i found it fun going against skilled nurses and i can barely find any now. #########?? :(
I was learning her, but the nerf just made her unfun to play. Yes, shes strong, but I'd rather have both FUN and strong.

I know 8 times out of 10, I am the killer magnet. Its not a problem if I am not doing challenges, but even when I am being sneaky, the killer magnetizes to me and its like MEEEEP YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO LOOK THERE! I am not complaining, because when it happens I end up having a good laugh from being temporarily "jumpscared", so its not a problem. Just makes those challenges hard to do smh. How abouts you? Do you bring the killer to you by just being there?
Usually. Until they give up on me and go chase one of my not-so-good-at-looping friends. :(

Do they really lose their rank or is it that they only the bp and the marks to their next rank, because i read that they will only lose their blood points and the macks that they have but will not go below their rank that they are currently on
They lose 2 pips. So if they do it alot or if they're close to losing a rank, they will derank.

Every killer tonight has had the exact same tunneling playstyle and it's getting boring. 2 matches in and I'm already on to Kingdom Come: Deliverance instead.

@Harrygan said:
Seriously what is wrong with you devs and killers? Dont you understand that facecamping is NOT fun?
Not only it ruins the game for 1 or more survivors, but it also awards the killer with a pretty decent amount of bloodpoints which is even more frustrating for the survivors. Killers should be punished for this braindead game play because they literally make the game toxic.
Um. Ya know facecamping is an acceptable thing to do, right?
-
@Coder said:
The devs changed him because he was annoying and boring to play against. Has that changed? To be honest, I'm not really "having fun" when playing against him, I just try to gen rush and leave.
I do have fun facing a huntress, or a bubba. I do think "Oh, nice! a huntress, let's dodge those hatchets!" but I've never felt that with a Doctor, it's more like "Oooohhh crap... a Doctor... another 10-15 minutes of my life wasted on a boring match, welp, let's do gens as fast as we can"
How do you feel about him? are you enjoying going against him? I'm not talking about using him as killer, but facing him as survivor.
Yes I do get excited for Doctor. The only time I groan about it is when I find out my teammates are potatoes.
-
Is this picture necessary for every post about Killer?

@ppo8820 said:
I get they need to be faster to end chases but do they need to be as fast as they are? 4.6 with a huge lunge seems very unfair. Survivors should be 4.2 and killers 4.5. Thoughts?

Im not sure about no one being able to flashlight save ;)
My teammates are always too early or too late. One of my other veteran friends kinda can flashlight save. I wish more solos knew how to because I just wanna throw my controller at them when they attempt and fail nowadays 😔.
-
I don't tunnel if I have enough pressure going. But when generators start getting rushed, I'm going to start kill rushing.
-
Ghostface. He can turn his TR off at will. You can deny BT, even while right next to the hook. You can be a gen-grabber without add-ons, and you don't even have to moonwalk at loops to hide the red stain (with NS active)
On top of that, you can stalk them at loops, sneak around and get either an early pallet drop or a hit.
I ######### love Ghostface.

Time to tell your "I messed up unnintentionally" as survivor funny moments.
- I tried to take a hit for a friend and I ended up blocking his path whyle he was injured and being chased cause we couldn't coordinate
- I dodged an axe throw by crouching and the axe got a guy behind me
- I tried to Q&Q into a locker when in a chase and there was someone there, the killer saw it and he broke chase to get the locker surv
- I cleansed HG the exact moment a guy started saying "She's on me, it's the Spiri..."
- I tried to heal a guy with the killer comming towards us, my dog barks, I get spooked and miss a healing skill check
A Billy tried to crossmap snipe me after I Lithed away from the killer shack and he hit the guy doing a gen next to me.
-
-Seeing a ######### Bear Trap on the ground
-Forgetting to select a challenge
-Seeing Urban Immersion Blendettes sneak past gens
-Seeing Legion or deep wounds cause I know the game will be a genrush fest with little to no interaction with the killer
-Seeing the killer AFK in the corner
-When a survivor brings in a flashlight and taunts the killer with it, thus pissing him off and making him assume we're all SWF.
-When survivors have flashlights in general because no-one on PS4 can flashlight save.

Unholy Trade
Your deal with the Entity allows you to possess the abilities, unreachable for others...at a great cost.
The amount of pallets in the trial is increased by 8/6/4
You gain the ability to destroy 2 unused pallets at your choice.
What about this? You can trade 2 pallets of your choice, but there are 4 more created. You also waste some time seeking for god pallets or just break the first ones you see, creating possible pallet-free space for you to attack survivors there.
That perk seems a bit difficult to implement into the game.
