I have noticed a very big flaw when it comes to the pink mori. It doesn't let you kill the last survivor even if you have hooked them. ######### is this bullshit?! I had the last one there and saw the kill interaction and when the only survivor that basically survived left the match I couldn't kill her anymore and she had DS. Go [BAD WORD] off with that bullshit.

Give killers some normal buffs and make offerings and perks normal. I know it's hard for the devs to think like normal people and balance and fix the game, but I think listening to the community and only the people that play survivors or killers isn't a good idea. Listen to survivor and killer players that play both sides equally cause ######### like that pisses me off. Seriously. Is it hard for the devs to have functioning brains or is that too much to ask? Like I am actually always getting disappointed at them when there's something that doesn't make sense in this game.

I have over 950+ in this game and can call myself a veteran player since I've been here since the start but took a few breaks whenever the game was almost unplayable, which it has been often. I am a rank 1 surv and killer player so I don't want to see any ''You're just a salty killer main'' stuff. If u chose to write that then your just gonna be ignored and that means you wasted your time.

There is a bug that you can't mori people in some places like near some rocks etc. Especially DS users try to exploit it. This might be what happened to you.

Inbuild Kindred for every survivor isn´t huge?

Which might not even be in the game.

But sure lets clutch our pearls before the PTB goes live.

    You are totally right!
Even IF it gets into the PTB, there is no guarantee that it gets implemented.
Like the hatch rework. Which worked well, but survivors didn´t seem to like the idea to finish a gen in order to reopen the hatch.
I have no doubt tho, that the overwhelming majority of the playerbase will like inbuild Kindred. Just 1/5th of the playerbase won´t like it.

New hatch mechanic was garbage tbh. Might as well just remove the hatch and kill the last remaining survivor instantly.

Killers also complained about new hatch mechanic because the last survivor was just sitting in the map while doing nothing. You can't repair a generator while a killer patrols the generators. It is almost impossible.

We need more reasonable solution for both sides.

Bullshit. Of course a solo survivor can repair gens while the killer patrols. Having Left Behind makes it easier. But it´s not impossible.
But i agree on the complete hatch removal. Since it rewards the losing side with a free escape. And even hurts the team once 2 survivors are left. Because both search for the hatch instead of doing gens.

Bullshit? 70-90 seconds for fixing a generator while killer has nothing to do but search for the last survivor is reasonable? Come on you are better than this.

I did 3 gens solo and got caught on the fourth. I had Left Behind equipped. Was THE most intense match i ever had.

    Something more reasonable huh?
How about the gen regress stops once there is only 1 survivor left. Kicking would do nothing. Survivor can repair the gen for some seconds, then hide again. This would give Left Behind a huge boost and allow for a different meta. Stealth would be more viable. Instead of loop builds.

But the hatch we have right now? Punishes the killer for doing well.
While there is no such mechanic where the survivors get punished for doing well.

Yeah we can finish the generator so that the killer can basically close the hatch within 2 seconds. Another minute to go only to see the killer closing the hatch once again. It is just like saying that the killer should leave the looper and go and find another survivor just so that he can get looped again. It was broken and I wouldn't close the hatch even if it was implemented. What if the survivor just goes and hides? Spending 30 minutes searching for the last survivor?

    My proposal removes the hatch.
Gen regress stops once there is only 1 survivor left. Kicking would do nothing.
Timer appears for the survivor. Timer has 5 minutes. Timer stops when survivor is being chased, in the terror radius or when he repairs a gen.
After the time runs out, the killer gets a notification every 60 seconds which is similar to the doctors scream. Calm Spirit reduces the distance of the scream.

This gives both sides the oportunity to still win, but doesnt hand out free wins for the losing side.

I am not sure about both sides having the opportunity to still win. If the killer is really bad to not find and catch the last survivor for a gen or 2, he could just go and patrol his 3 gen setup. No way to win for the survivor

Hatch is a good mechanic for both sides. It is just not good where it is now. Killers and survivors should have the option to win. We should not favor one side over the other side and find a reasonable solution. Yours doesn't seem to be one.

  • I think that RBT's time wasting aspect doesn't work as intended. We should have seen much longer games with pig than hillbilly or huntress but with slugging etc. hillbilly has more potential to have longer games while having his 1 shot ability and movement speed. The reason why I am comparing pig with hillbilly is because hillbilly is okay where he is now and has a reasonable chance to win

If you don't want RBTs to kill survivors, then raise the time that is required to kill a survivor. Give 5 boxes and when you have RBT you shouldn't be able to see the boxes auras. It will require survivors to search for boxes before getting caught and it will make game significantly longer than it is now for pig. Her power would require exploration and it will make matches with her more unique.

Pig is not good where she is now. This is bullshit. So let's stop pretending like she is not low mid tier and make her more of a threat.

Edit I said boxes instead of box aura :/

Just a minor nerf! Please! Anything! His power and speed make him unbelievably fast! Combine it with Michaels perks, and he is a step below the nurse. Just reduce his speed to 105%. All we need. Or even reduce his hinderence to the ability of the huntress add-on. The clown is too fast for his B I G  C H O N K status. He is way too fast for his ability.

He is trolling. A person can't be this stupid.

P.S. If you are not trolling and being dead serious, even if you don't understand how ridiculous your suggestion is, just pretend like you are trolling so you won't be seen as a moron.

    Trapper has %115 movement speed.
Survivors have %100 ms while running.
    The gap is %15.
Let's say that we nerfed the clown and his movement speed is %105 right now.
You hit the survivor so the gap between you and the survivor is %20. You are faster than trapper only by %5.
Is this a killer's power? Making him %5 faster than other killers? Not all the time by the way, only while survivors are intoxicated.

Please just say you are joking.

They released the PTB for Chapter 8 five days after the initial teaser (Off the beaten track), so seeing as they dropped the teaser earlier today and if they are following the same pattern, it's possible that we will be able to try out the new stuff sometime on Wednesday or maybe Thursday.

I don't know, the very first teaser for the clown was a picture and then the video was like a month later then the PTB dropped after. Maybe this is the first teaser, then the second will be in 2-3 weeks then the PTB?

I looked at their twitter account and the teaser was released in may 24th. June 7th was the day for ptb opinions and then they released the dlc on June 12th

If the same thing happens, next week ptb will be released and then at the beginning of september they will release the dlc

Tier 1: Your item is destroyed
Tier 2: Your item and the item of another random survivor is destroyed.
Tier 3: As above and the next item you find in a chest has a 75% chance of being broken beyond repair.

Might as well break the generators beyond repair and lock all the survivors with the killer until killer get his 4k.

If you could add any other escape method other than generators, what would you add?

    Killing the killer?

I think it would be a lot more fun to play the game. We could have killer specific objectives. For example, for clown, we could prepare a poisonous gas and try to kill him with it. So instead of doing generators, survivors could do different objectives for different killers and the game could become more enjoyable. It wouldn't feel like we are playing the same thing over and over again.

The game could actually be more balanced since the win conditions are clearer. It is really difficult to do that though.

So you want to be able to kill the killer now?

SO the whole gen rushing 2 people while 2 people get stuff to kill the killer would be the meta.

    Nope.

I would be for this whole idea IF...

IF... this can only happen after the exit gates are powered, and this takes a good amount of time as a choice by the survivors.

Also. Noed gets built in to all killers.

    And we have a deal.

I think people didn't understand me.

It is not like the game will remain as it is and survivors will have another option to kill the killer.

One of the most problematic aspects of this game is that there is no clear win conditions. Some people are okay with 4 escape if they pip. Some people are okay if they get all 4 bbq stacks and +20k blood points (this includes me). Some people are okay with 3 sacrifices and doesn't even try to find the last survivor. Some people just want 4k every day. Some people are not okay even if they get 4k because they find it too difficult.

Killing the leatherface. You can balance the game around this. %50 of the time, survivors will win and %50 of the time killers will win. If it doesn't happen, buff the specific objective to kill the leatherface and make it 50-50. Does nurse live %80 of the time? Nerf her or nerf her particular objective so that it will be 50-50.

My suggestion could be another game mode rather than an implementation to the base game. Otherwise I agree as if wraiths are not bullied enough, survivors will have a chance to kill them and tbag their corpses.

  • @Orion said:
None. The devs' original Killers are always more interesting than some B-grade horror movie Killers.

Agreed. People just need to take a look at the weakest killers. Freddy, wraith, pig, leatherface. 3 out of 4 are licensed.

Myers is not a great killer as well.

  • I am so sorry if I am being ignorant but I have never heard jeepers creepers's name before tbh. It is the first time that I see his name in this forum and I love horror movies so I don't understand how I didn't know him. Is he really popular and a lot of people know him or you guys are just horror fans and come across with the film?

I really hoped that the next killer was an original killer but since they said that the answer was out there, it is most likely a licensed killer because how else we would the answer.

Killers are used to getting shafted. That's just the straight up truth. Survivors go on about "whiny killers" but what happened when Survivors got a minor nerf to their kit? Massive negative review bombs. And you know what? It worked. They get their way. If you play killer you just have to learn to live with the fact that this is a survivor's game and you're just here for their amusement.

I already addressed the review bomb in another thread and quite of few of those negative reviews weren't from survivors either. Some were from both sides and were complaints like the following.

So here's some stats from Steams store page.

Total reviews as of this writing: 144,753 ** (This was from an earlier post)**

    Total positive reviews: 109,223

    Total negative reviews: 35,530

To break that down the reveiw bombing total when it started was

July 25th when it started: 448

    July 26th: 217

After that it started going back to normal reviews.

To further break it down a lot of bad reviews were for people complaining about the overall patch changes.

The overall exhaustion nerfs when they agreed with SB nerfs.

The players unable to join due to server issues.

There were several complaints about not having dedicated servers.

There were complaints from killers that the nerfs didn't go far enough. (amazing how it was review bombed by both sides but you all complain it was survivors only.)

There's complaints from both sides about the community being toxic.

There's complaints about the report system from both sides.

There's complaints about hackers from both sides.

Now if you look at the reviews from both sides some of them bashing the game have 0.2 hours of playtime while others have lots.

So there's a 3-1 ratio of good reviews to bad reviews and if you take out the bad reviews because the game doesn't have dedicated servers. The report system isn't working right now, the hackers etc, well then actual bad reviews like the review bombing become a lot rarer.

You also need to look at other days and negative reviews to understand how much it was bombed by entitled survivors.

33-29-34 etc. negative reviews per day. General issues like reporting system, hackers, dedicated servers were always there and that 33 negative reviews represent them. I don't think that people just realized all of them in the update and gave a bad review.

It increased up to 400-500. Most of them were about the exhaustion changes. There might be some complaints from the killers who think that the nerf should be more severe but how many of them do you think were there? 100? 200? or 5-10?

It was a review bomb. You can say the same thing for killers and you can say that killers review bomb too but It is very disingenuous to ignore the review bomb.

  • I mean a little buff wouldn't hurt but I feel like there are far worse perks like wake up or unrelenting that need help.

why would you support a sexual predator. Even though this company talked about it, if they ever did release a DLC for Jeeper Creepers that directly supported this man, I would not buy it and have a different view on the game. The only way I would support this if 100% of the profit went to the 12 year old boy he molested.

    Freddy is in the game

Original freddy wasn't planned to be a pedo most probably they were scared to say he was even if they wanted him to be. Remake presented him as a child molester. It doesn't matter though because freddy is not real, he is just a character.

The real reason why people don't want jeepers creepers is because they don't want his creator to earn money.

  • Community is freaking out for no reason. I am sure out of 10 matches, you got bl3 in only 1 match if it ever happened.

I admit that I don't play killer much but except for wanting to see how fast i am going with bl3, I never had bl3.

Tbh, faster bl is better than bl3 at least for me. We need to see the change and then evaluate the results.

  • @Milo said:
Let's say you are lvl after 50. To get the 2k shards you need to lvl up 7 times. 4,200 exp for every level. And you earn 500-600 for every match + 300 daily for killer/survivor. More or less it's 7 times to level up once. (assuming you played the match fully) So it's 49 matches.
In the old system you had to gain 550 shards and everymatch gave you 10 i think. so its 55 matches. It's almost the same.

(if my calculations are correct. It's early in the morning so i might have messed up something or forgot something)

In the old system, we were earning more bloodpoints though.

Although I don't remember the exact values, it was around 250k bloodpoints per 550 shards. Considering how much the game was grindy, a lot of people were waiting to see better values like low shards and high bloodpoints.

  • Yeah I am waiting for a clown avatar too. It can't be that hard.

  • Survivors are evil and they deserve what they get.

I would gladly sacrifice myself to rescue wraith from that evil p3 claudette with flashlight. He doesn't deserve that.

  • This is a very good solution but I don't think that the devs take forums seriously. If they did, the game would be a lot better now.

I hope they see this thread and at least give it a try if they can't do anything better than this.

Why won’t Survivors quit review bombing the game every time they get baby nerfs in order to terrorize the developers into buffing them?

    Your post is a joke.

Well the same could be said for when Freddy got nerfed and killers mains blew it up. I do wonder how many are the flyby night types that're just here for a short time. There's also all the Ochido people that review bombed it because he said to.

They're just like other streamers that said they changes suck review bomb it then follow me to game x. Then said make sure to donate to me while you follow me to game x and then rinse and repeat onto next game.

As for the op's comments you can't deny that there's killers out there including some on this very forum like that just as the same is true for some survivors. While the rest of us are in the middle trying to find commonsense solutions and balance.

The Freddy review bomb was in response to paying for a product and getting a significantly inferior product delivered. I paid for Freddy Krueger, not Sharp Hand Joe. Even the developers admit the nerfs were a huge mistake.

Killers review bombed because they got the carpet yanked out from under their feet with no warning. Meanwhile Survivors get PTB’s and EXTENSIVE testing before the developers do ANYTHING even resembling a nerf. The recent review bombs from Survivors is to prevent nerfs that have yet to be implemented. Hell, they haven’t even been put in a PTB.

There is a difference between the review bombs. One was in response to a no warning nerf that ruined a purchase of a DLC, one is a Terror Tactic to prevent an upcoming possible nerf.

I didn’t bomb myself on Freddy, but to me it was justified. This review bomb by Survivors to me is just a Terror Tactic to prevent anything more BEFORE the fact. Freddy was AFTER the fact for unsatisfactory delivery of a paid product.

Not to mention review bombing was legit af without even considering payment. Freddy is arguably the worst killer right now because of the nerfs while survivor nerfs didn't have a significant impact on the game tbh.

Some people will cry all the time. We just won't be able to stop them. I was going to write a response but then I got bored and gave up. People just don't want to acknowledge the game's problems and when somebody tries to point them out, they just become an obstacle without giving a constructive criticism.

DBD became balanced and looping and camping were not allowed/viable anymore? What if you all started playing the game the way it was meant to be played, and called out the devs then? My thought is Dev's are allowing camping because they are allowing Looping. So why give the DEVs a good reason to stop looping. We’d do just fine. You see, the game didn’t have Looping at the start when it launched. It was introduced in Patch 1.4.0 when the developers re-sized the Survivors hit boxes to be smaller, in order to make Survivors harder to hit out in the open due to P2P latency and at windows and vaults. As an UNINTENTIONAL side effect of this change, Survivors found out they could run tighter, therefore faster, circles around objects via abusing the smaller collision they have. The game was never balanced with Looping in mind, that’s why it’s an overpowered mechanic and the developers are constantly fighting to rebalance the whole game with it included.

This is because they have to find a way to incorporate it because of all the cry baby Survivors who suck at hiding and LoS jukes. They have no skill and need a way to win by abusing game mechanics and letting the mechanics of the game carry them. instead of playing smart and not getting found and caught.

So is it the same thing for killers on camping? Did the Devs allow camping because some killers have no skill either? Survivors are op, but I'm not like them, I do just fine without DS and I'm great at sneaking around with O.o.O.

So but explain this to the other killers then, other wise they will just keep whinning,

Killer still caught someone did he not? He was still skilled enough to catch someone.

Secondly, stop letting your bias cloud your judgement.

Camping is boring and unskilled, but at least the game is balanced for it. Killer camps, all three other Survivors have free reign of the map to do whatever the Hell they want. Camping has a draw back. The Killer has no map pressure.

Looping is boring and unskilled, and the game is not balanced for it. Survivor Loops, it has no draw backs whatsoever. The solo Survivor wins, the Survivor team wins, only the Killer loses.

It doesn’t matter if it’s boring or unskilled, it’s if the game is balanced for it. Balanced for camping, yes, balanced for Looping, not at all.

But that doesn't change how toxic it is or how cheap, survivors are not entitled a free save, but killers don't deserve a free kill either.

its not a free kill. he caught you. stop whining and git gud.

I am good, and I'll be better and have more skill when I start maining killer, getting 4K without camping.
Camping isn't less toxic, and killers are to touchy

    LOL

I am a survivor main and I said the same thing for tunneling. One match I've got tunneled really bad and insulted the killer. That killer didn't get mad at me or insult me. He just said that if I am better than he is, I should go and play wraith, don't tunnel or camp anybody and get a 4k.

    The matches were horrible.

Don't get me wrong. Without camping or tunneling I can easily get 4k with huntress. There are matches when I don't even down injured survivors deliberately and chase the healthy survivors after hook saves. Not every killer is viable for 12 hooks though.

You won't be able to main killers I warn you. You already played survivor side and get used to it. The survivor side is stress free and easy while the killer side needs you in action all the time. Most probably you won't switch to the killer side unless you start to play nurse or hillbilly.

This is why I support killers in this forum even though I am a survivor main. The game is not balanced for most of the killers and if the survivors are as good as the killer, Killers except for nurse, hillbilly and to a degree huntress have almost no chance.

I hope you play the killer side at high ranks with non viable killers soon and understand their problems and understand why they camp or tunnel.

Regardless, bonus BP offerings of some kind are in every bloodweb and many games someone else will play a bound envelope or BPS. Saving them up just isn't necessary.

Actually there is a difference between them. When you use them in the event and get multiple party streamers, some killers just farm to get as many bloodpoints as they can.

The downside is that when you use them in the event and the killer camps and tunnels you, it drains your motivation to play the game.

Another problem is that some survivors just want to farm and the killer doesn't. Killer gets multiple hooks with 5 gens still up and you end up with 5k because of your teammates. Personally I don't use streamers in the events at all.

I think using streamers right now is better than using them in the event.

  • I play huntress and clown and for these killers, purple ranks are my favorites. I prefer green ranks for other killers though. Most probably I am not good enough to enjoy the game with them.

  • Crows give sound notifications just like fast vaults or generator skill check misses when a survivor alerts them. In the past, it would get activated by killers too but they changed it.

When I used that perk for the first time, I thought people were just trolling me by vaulting fast or constantly missing skill checks. So it is a little bit confusing but when you get used to it it is an okay perk if not the best.

It doesn't happen all the time because of %75 RNG though.

Speaking clearly and directly, I think you should change the genre to this game, because it is certainly not geared towards the game horror genre.

If developers really oriented this game to the genre of horror it would gain much more, besides being a +18

I do not know if many of the players agree, but I think it would be by both parties as much as survivor and killer more fun. Also on the part of survivors you would feel what it is really to have a murderer behind ...

But ... how to guide now after 2 years of play to a horror game? I think that at this point is too difficult, since they would have to implement a lot of new content, so that the game is at the height of a horror game.

The debate is open to all, I hope you say your point of view and the mods too! : D

There is almost no way to create a multiplayer horror game. After a while, you will get used to atmosphere.

I started to play this game without watching stream or videos. Every map was new and it was frightening for me. Then as I get used to the game, the game lost its atmosphere.

Only way to make this game a little bit more scary is to give survivors first person. However, survivors can't play without 3rd person due to chase mechanics.

  • Yes some killers have unnecessary nerfs for their addons and powers. For example, as if wraith is not weak enough, when he is coming out of cloak, he can get stunned because of flashlights. Again as if freddy is not weak enough, he has debuffs in his dream world like fog and dark layout.

Fatigue for nurse and negative features of her addons, hatch reload for huntress make sense but having debuffs with obvious weak killers is just dumb.

edit; forget to use and :/

Yeah except for BT effect, these are really good suggestions.

I would like to see my surroundings and enjoy the game. BT effect kills the game's atmosphere.

Hmm, would you be okay with it starting out like the BT effect but then as time goes on... Your screen regains it's color over time? Your screen won't fully recover from the BT screen but enough that it won't be annoying to have it all game.

I am not sure because we don't need BT effect for the last hook. I don't even remember when was the last time I forgot that I had been hooked twice. While BT effect for the last hook doesn't benefit me at all, it also kills the game's atmosphere even if it recovers.

  • Yeah except for BT effect, these are really good suggestions.

    Hello,
I think it's better to die with a Mori animation than to die from hacking. I think you could use the Mori without the offering

I actually have a mori idea.

If the killer is able to hook 4 different survivors, he will be granted a mori chance.

Is it too powerful? For the most part, I don't think so because the killer has to win 5 chases and find 4 different survivors. You don't know when you will get your 4th stack but at least it will reward killers who do not camp or tunnel. Killers will have a reason to chase another survivor rather than recently unhooked injured survivor.

Nurse and billy are too powerful though. This mori will make them much more stronger and believe me nurse doesn't need more buffs.

  • Yeah invitations are limited and after the event they will be kinda worthless. Instead of running out of your puddings, streamers or wreathes, just use invitations and after the event ends, you can start to use your other offerings.

  • @Sigmalx said:
This is a short one, since its a singular perk... but before you go get salty, please explain why (if in wrong post place, I will move)

Okay so the perk goes as follows:
"Gain a token every time you down, or kill a survivor, gain two tokens killing a obsession, Can gain up to 6 tokens. Increases movement speed by 2/4/6% per token, and increases time to repair generators by 1/2/3%"

subtag: "They have figured out a way to make our wounds hurt more..."

Movement speed is the core of this game. It shouldn't be altered too much. I am not even sure if 1% ms per token would be balanced. I think we should ditch ms and focus on the generator repair time.

I would give 6% increased generator repair time for every survivor that is hooked for the first time just like BBQ.

Though it could still be op as hell if we also combine that with dying light.

It's been a while since I've posted any questions to the community here, so I wanted to start again with a question I thought was interesting when it came to my mind. Today I ask, what would you change in DbD? (I'm going to not include balance in this question, because that would be an obvious cheat for answers. What I want to know, is what you would change to make the game better that ISN'T about balancing the game.)

I would include killer specific practice mods for huntress nurse billy clown etc.

A specific basement design that is related to their story for every killer. Torture machines for pig, fingers and private things for clown, toys for huntress etc.

Voice chat for survivors (I know killers will need huge buffs but it will be very enjoyable for survivors)

A base mori kit that is not overpowered for killers.

A mechanic that will make both survivors and killers more powerful as the game goes on. For example. Instead of enduring I II III, we can start with enduring I and by accomplishing different things we can unlock enduring II and III. Just like the system in death garden.

I have other ideas but these 5 are my favorite ones.

  • @Tsulan said:
I agree. We need a ingame voice chat. Like Hunt: Showdown has.
    Then balance around it.

I also agree. SWF and solo survivor experiences are very unique and this game will never be balanced around both of them. If they over buff killers, SWF will still be fine but solo survivors will get crushed and if they don't buff killers enough, they will be able to beat solo survivors but fail miserably against SWF. Give survivors the ability to communicate and then make killers powerful enough to beat them.

In this way, survivor side will be more enjoyable and killers will not suffer as much as they do right now.

Having an easy to use character with good power is basic game design 101.

Leatherface is indeed easy and less-skilled to use, but he is far from the best character in the game. And this is not a bad thing. Indeed, this is a good thing.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EitZRLt2G3w

This is totally true but in this way they are forcing killers to use 1-2 killers like nurse and billy. Also, If they are going to create a killer that is easy and a little bit lackluster, I feel like they should have done that with their own original killers. Leatherface is an icon and he should have been much more powerful. He is my favorite killer and I really am sad to see him being an ultimate camper in this game.

  • Yeah I really am disappointed by the rewards. All I care is bloodpoints right now.

  • Using his feet was a lot more cooler. This one seems like they rushed it.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:
Hopefully they’ll finally be able to see just how hard Killers have had it and how ridiculously easy Survivor is. Maybe we’ll finally start getting closer to a balanced game.

The problem is that if they are inexperienced, they can buff wrong things. Like what?

When I played nurse for the first time, I think I was able to get 2-3 hits. I mean I didn't know anything about game at that time I accept it but again Nurse sucked for me. I thought she need buffs like a natural 3rd blink, which she had in the past btw. I was getting 3-4k with leatherface and freddy in almost everymatch though.

So they will not judge their game by how they play it. Playing their own game is not going to change anything because even if they suck, they will think that they were just bad and that's why they lost the match.

Again, can you stop victimizing killers? Killers are the same. Equally as toxic, they camp gens, patrol them hard, put overcharge, ruin, thanatophobia and other stuff.

"Killers are opressed, killers are the purest form of players in the DBD community. REEEEEE"

And like yeah, I guess they have to run something that slows the game down so they can get the hooks, but I've ran into several survivors who were willing to give me hooks in the end, not to mention their cosmetic needs 90 tokens. It still doesn't give you the reason to keep patrolling/camping those gens.

To be fair, Killer see's 4X as many opponents than survivors, so the killer statistically faces more toxic opponents.

That's just fact wither you like it or not.

And patrolling and camping those gens is completely legit.

Well then, saboing hooks is legit too, it's a mechanic in the game. :)

No but seriously, like yes, they are legit strategies but we're talking about the event. It is completely fine to patrol / camp gens but since we're in an event that requires survivors to do the generators / killers to hook survivors for cosmetics, it'd be nice if everyone dropped their toxicity and be nice.

There is a huge difference between saboing hooks and patrolling generators though. Killers always patrol generators while there is one sabo guy in a match out of 100 normally.

I don't deny that there are killers who are ready to sell the game as long as survivors don't do those 2 event generators. I have seen killers like this. However, for every killer like that, there are 3-4 sabo guys in the matches.

I don't blame survivors for anything though. It is one of the problems of the game rather than being a killer problem. I feel like devs should think about toxicity and adjust their events accordingly. For example, they could have made event hooks immune to sabotage and give survivors another object rather than doing generators.

  • I think that was the weirdest thing I have ever heard in my life. I didn't even know what mankini was so I searched for it. You owe me 100$ for the damage you caused me sir.

  • First of all, DBD is not dying. More people than ever are playing the game and because of the cosmetics, devs earn a lot of money.

When a youtuber or a streamer leaves a game, it generally doesn't cause anything major. You won't even notice a difference.

Game was a lot worse in the past and we see devs trying to improve the game right now. Giving bad reviews like some braindead survivors have done after the exhaustion nerf, and threatening the devs by leaving the game will not solve anything. If anything, marth will lose his viewers and subs and then after an update, he will come back excusing the improved state of the game to gain his viewers and subs.

    Stop being childish.

  • I don't know the old times but I don't remember kicking a generator had a damage to the progress before.

%5 regression wouldn't be bad tbh. It would prevent survivors tapping the gen in mid chase.

  • Leatherface is a bad killer and I don't understand why community doesn't want to acknowledge this.

Any killer that does not require skill or intelligence is kinda bad. You can make plays with nurse, billy, huntress, hag and clown. You can show your skill with these killers. Apart from the general knowledge of the game like knowing map layouts, which pallets are safe which pallets are not safe etc, there is not much difference between a good wraith or a bad wraith because his power is easy to use. You can easily understand the difference between a good nurse and a bad nurse I believe.

What devs need to do is to make their killers more complicated so that good players will have the chance to show themselves. You can see that with survivors because survivors have this opportunity. This is why generally killers are able to destroy survivors at low ranks and then have a hard time at high ranks. Survivors are able to get better and become more skilled while some killers like leatherface has no way to improve themselves.

All in all, some killers need buffs that will not make them easy and deadly but will make them difficult and when used properly deadly just like nurse.

  • None of their licensed killers is good. With the new update hag got better and at least for me the top 5 killers are original killers (Nurse, billy, huntress, hag, clown).

For some reason they are not good at creating a license killer. They are not powerful and they don't have cosmetics. It means less money than normal.

Stating that, they say that September update will be great so they might bring a very popular license killer like Jason.

I hope for an original killer tbh. An interesting story with a good and fun killer like clown would be really cool.

Games are just so fast for most of the killers. There are 2 ways to prevent this. Killers will either take the chance to run hex:ruin and hope that survivors won't find it in the first 10 seconds of the game so that they can have a little bit chance to win or they use NOED and get all of their kills at the end of the game.

Again, I'm not saying the game doesn't need fixes in other places. What I am saying is that crutch perks are not the solution. They just ruin the experience, remove skill from the equation, and ultimately piss off the player base.

Furthermore, killers that don't get a single kill until endgame, even if the others rush gens, are flat out just bad killers. Besides the fact that you don't even need to kill people to pip as killer (it's almost laughable how easy it is to pip as killer with emblems), any decent killer will be able to catch/hook most survivors and get someone before end game. The problem is that majority of killers that use NOED aren't even that decent at the game, they literally rely on NOED to carry them to get kills. THAT is the problem, that bad killers are rewarded way more than they should be.

Although Nurse and NOED are too powerful, devs will not remove NOED or nerf nurse. NOED will shut up bad killers, and give them chances to play a game that is survivor sided, Nurse will shut up good players and give them the chance to annihilate survivors.

This is why these threads will not change anything tbh. It is a tactic. Instead of trying to fix core issues, Devs have chosen to give multiple very powerful resources like NOED, DS, bloodlust to both sides. After a little nerf to exhaustion, they got crap reviews from survivors. Just imagine what will happen if they touch bloodlust, DS, NOED etc.

If they remove NOED before fixing other issues, it will have a really bad impact on the game. That is all I am saying. These suggestions will not change anything.

  • I feel like DC's punishment should be 10 minutes. If a match lasts longer than 10 mins, survivor or killer who DC should not get a punishment. In that way we can still DC if a survivor or killer holds the game hostage.

The reason why it should be 10 mins is because you will get 2 options. You will either stay and get your points and play the game for 10 mins or you can quit the game and wait for the next game.

Snowballing isn't something that should be stopped. If a player/team is that good that they just wipe the floor with you then that's how it should go. You shouldn't get a boost because you got bodied. Imagine any sport that had a comeback mechanic. OMG Yankees lead Redsox 50-1, so last inning the Redsox get a bonus "homerun derby" round where they can score more points to catch up. See how awful that sounds? These mechanics are there to remove skill from the equation, which again isn't a bad thing if your goal is to have a non-competitive atmosphere. But DBD is competitive in nature, so these types of mechanics only ruin the experience. NOED/DS are both in this category, hence why they are two of the most despised perks in the game.

This is true but there is a problem with removing NOED from the game in this current state.

If the devs can find a solution for more consistent game play and +8-10 min matches I am all for removing NOED. Right now, sometimes survivors take things slowly and killers can find enough time to do what they have to do, sometimes survivors ignore chests, totems and even other survivors on the hooks and gen rush the killer. Since most of the killers are not able to pressure gens, the game is at the hands of the survivors. NOED is one of the few counters against short matches.

Everything comes to balance of the game and killers like freddy, wraith, trapper needs a little bit help. NOED becomes really problematic if billies and nurses use it.
