  • It wasn't annoying for the first week.

They should seriously change it. 1 week for the new killer and then usual theme should be played.

  • Oh she definitely needs nerf.

Some people can say that she is the only killer that can get 2 kills in competitive matches but those matches are being played without perks and addons. Survivor perks like selfcare, sprint burst, etc. are not powerful against her but bbq, nurse's calling etc. is really really good for her.

She shouldn't have infinite amount of blinks I think. Survivors should be given a chance to go and hide after a nurse fck's up a couple of her blinks. Then, just like huntress or clown, she should need a little bit time to refill her power.

Experienced and good nurses will still dominate but mediocre nurses will not be able to get 4k every game anymore.

  • Nah they would grind bp for the clown and kate too. This ptb is not as alive as the old one was.

Last ptb had cosmetic store with a new killer and survivor. This ptb doesn't have cosmetic store + new killer is not for everyone.

  • Her power is too punishing.

In high ranks, one mistake can lose you the game. She is too difficult to play and her power doesn't compensate for the mistake you have done.

Just think about Nurse. She is difficult to play but even if you miss 4-5 attacks when you blink, you can still easily win the game.

Now think about the spirit. Think that you lose survivors' tracks 4-5 times. It is a loss for you.

I am still curious how her launch will be. My guess is that she will be one of the weakest killers in the game.

    Hello y'all.
So, playing against the Hag many times, I've come to a conclusion: she's given too much room for mistakes or improper placements. She has a lot of trap spamming on her side, and I think the traps she can place should be changed in one of two ways.

1 - Her traps get reduced from 10 to 5, this way she won't be able to spam them on a gen or on a hooked survivor, trying to bodyblock. In this case, to give her some form of compensation, her traps are no longer erased by flashlights. As of right now, there is little to no chance a Hag will place less then 3 traps near a hooked survivor, who will start running as soon as he is unhooked, most of the times. I've seen a Hag place 6, SIX, traps below a friend who was hooked. Of course, many times 3 traps are placed near gens as well.

2 - Her traps will keep being 10, but they will start decaying over time when she places them, and fully disappear in about 20 - 25 seconds. Also, I think it wouldn't be bad for her to be given the need to recharge her traps in a Huntress fashion. If the Hag is played, some shrines could spawn around the map, where she must head in order to get her traps back (it would be a faster interaction than that of the Huntress).

Now, I know those who main her will disagree, because people like to have things the easiest way, but this is my take. Any constructive thoughts?

Both ideas are massive nerfs to her.

I don't understand people who want to nerf killers which are not as effective as the others like nurse or hillbilly.

She is slow, trapping takes time (don't just think about 2 sec to put a trap, she has to travel around the map to place her traps as well), her traps can easily be destroyed by either flashlights or when she is carrying somebody you can run over them.

I don't say that she is a weak killer but at least she is manageable. I just can't see any reason to nerf her while there are more effective killers like hillbilly or nurse.

Imagine a perk when every time you hook someone all gens that aren't being actively fixed start regressing, and all gens being fixed lose 6/8/10 percent of possible progress.

My intent with the perk is to encourage killers to chase and hook as much as possible and dissuade camping. Additionally, there is counter play, you just have to stop fixing every time you see the killer pick someone up, so the gen will only regress, and you can start fixing again.

But, there is also synergy with knock out, so survivors can't see when you pick people up, so that specific mind game is more in the killers favor.

    What do yall think?

Wouldn't work against good survivors. Bad or average survivors don't even gen rush.

Just like blood warden, people will just wait until you hang the person and continue to work on the generator.

All the generators could lose %10 and start to regress but it might be a little bit OP if it is enforced with pop goes the weasel and hex ruin.

It is a very good idea though. I wish devs were looking at the forums more often because many great ideas have just vanished.

Nope, all cosmetic. Though some are bigger or smaller looking, and some like to wear their finest neon clothes while others have more dull clothes that blend in better (Claudette blends in more than David King or Laurie Strode, basically). But as far as stats go, they are all identical.

The male survivors mess with my head so badly though. They've got a different running animation and it feels different, but it's actually the same. I just feel so slow when I play as them.

Hey you have all the profile pictures. How come we don't?

    We want justice and equality.

  • I have a special kind of hatred towards Nurse.

    After her, huntress, hag ,trapper.

  • @Nick said:
With new perks coming into the game. Everyone is using his/her 4 meta perks. Is it possible to give every survivor and killer 1 basic perk (for example: Billy: Enduring Nurse: Nurses Calling Laurie: Decisive Feng: Lithe etc etc etc.) and pick 4 other perks? So you can pick more perks. Because you are bound to your 4 meta perks atm and there's no possibilty to use "bad" perks?

I think it is a little bit unfair. Some killers and survivors like huntress or Quentin don't have any good perks. For survivors it is not that big of a deal but for killers, it is a problem. I mean you can say that 1 extra perk wouldn't hurt but since survivors also get 1 extra perk, having a bad perk hinders you.

whats wrong with only using unbreakable? Who has a problem with being slugged its your fault you messed up and got downed you dont deserve any more free lifes than what is already in the game. just use unbreakable.

This isn't about free lifes or any of that garbage.

Slugging is an unfun mechanic, plain and simple.

Who wants to crawl around on the ground for 4 minutes, but then again I suppose Killers could care less.

Of course it is about free lives and that garbage!

Do you think all the crap survivors are doing is "fun" for the killer?

But that is all "needed to survive", right?

But anything the killer is doing to get his objective is "unfun" and needs to get "fixed", because "fun" is only for survivor

Slugging requires no interaction between the Survivor and Killer.

If you aren't having fun playing as Killer, why exactly are you playing?

No interaction between killer and survivor?

So tell me, how exactly did the survivor down on the ground?

    You can't be this dumb.

This shows how much egoistic survivors are. Survivors have this mentality that a killer and 'one' survivor should have equal chance and ground because they think that this game is symmetrical.

If you didn't notice, there are 4 survivors you know? When he slugs you, he deals with someone else therefor there is an interaction.

Why do killers slug? It is because it prolongs the game and gives more opportunity to the killer to win the game.

Killing survivors is fun btw. What is not fun is to getting gen rushed and have 1 or 2 hooks in 3-4 min matches. Slugging is fun for the killer but not fun for the survivor. Gen rushing, saving people from the hook and escaping is fun for the survivor but not fun for the killer.

    Deal with it.

There is no interaction with the person that is slugged.

Hookiing and killing Survivors progresses the game.

    Doing generators progresses the game.

Saving from the hook progresses the game.

    Escaping progresses the game.

    Looping has interaction.

Apparently the Survivor on the ground being slugged is interacting with the Killer chasing someone else, WHATTT?????? I don't know what to say.

Slugging doesn't progress the game nor provide any interaction which is unfun.

The survivor on the ground is literally the RBT machine. The killer gives other survivors an RBT like pig and survivors need to get him up as soon as possible. If not, the killer will eventually down the other guy and there will be only 2 survivors left that are capable of doing something. The game will become very very difficult for the entire team. However, if the other survivors go to get him up, there will be no progression whatsoever which is in favor of the killer.

Slugging is hex ruin, slugging is pop goes the weasel, slugging is RBT, slugging is overcharge. Slugging prolongs the game and benefits the killer.

What is the difference between staying on the ground and waiting for somebody to come and save you or being hooked and waiting for somebody to come and save you? You can even crawl to your teammates + you didn't even get hooked. Next time he catches you, you will be hooked for the first time.

You don't like slugging because it massively benefits the killer. It is just like looping. You can either waste a pallet in 2 seconds or loop around it and waste 10-15 seconds of a killer and help your teammates. The killer can either pick the downed survivor and hook him while other survivor breaks LoS and hides and the killer wastes so much time trying to find him or he can slug the downed survivor and go after the other guy immediately and wastes survivors' time.

The Survivor is on the ground FOR FOUR MINUTES with no way to exit the game when slugged except disconnecting.

Being hooked last 90 seconds and even faster if you suicide and want to move on to the next game.

    You just don't get it.

It's understandable if the Killer wants to chase and leave a Survivor on the ground for a short period of time, don't get me wrong.

Staying on the ground for 4 min is because of hatch standoffs. If there are more than 2 survivors in the trial and you get slugged for 4 min, you can't blame the killer, blame your own survivor mate. Again, for hatch standoffs, It is his only option if he wants to win the game with 4k.

You are not in the center of the game. You might want to move on to the next game while others do not. There is nothing to do here. None of the killers want matches to go for 4 min but gen rushing is a thing and whether they like it or not, they have to deal with it just like you need to deal with slugging.

Blame your own survivor mate because he's staying alive? Lol.
Hope u dont mind if the 3rd one dcs so the 4th one can get the hatch sooner then.

Read it with your eyes. I said that if there were more than 2 survivors. So 3rd one is not busy he can save you, no need to stay on the ground for 4 mins.

If there are 2 survivors, then the killer tries to prevent hatch standoff. You can't blame the killer for that.

Hello complaining ppl of the forum, while i play the lobby simulator that we all love (DbD), i came here to tell u some stuff regarding the new killer and how devs do changes on her...

Devs. who aim for BALANCE will look into numbers instead of how many tears ppl can drop on the "Feedback" section, as stated in another post, they will look the analytics about the new killer during its first weeks after release, by knowing that, we (the community) can change those numbers by playing with and against The Spirit.

If she gets a high average kill ratio in her overall matches she will be considered balanced or too strong, if she gets a low kill ratio, the she will probably receive a buff or change, so im here to bring u a suggestion way better than crying on the forums...

If u think that The Spirit is somewhat underpowered all u have to do is keep escaping all matches against her or losing all matches while using her.

However, im also here to warn all of u UNSKILLED NOOBS that u will have to work really hard for that, i'll be playing her every single day in every single match and i can asure u that I WILL be getting 3-4 kills every time, she is better than Hillbilly and is almost a second Nurse, i'll do my best to inflate those numbers as a proof of how good she is on SKILLFUL HANDS, if u dont play and LOSE enough matches, the average win rate will grow higher every day and she will never gets the unecessary buffs that are being asked around the forums.

Buffs are always good for the killers and she could really use some of the suggested ones, but she is fine as she is and buffing her just because players dont know how to play shouldnt be a thing.

I wish you said that she was better than hillbilly at the beginning. I wouldn't waste my time.

This is not really true. In most cases slugging is less beneficial to the killer.
It is way easier to heal up a survivor and he never lost a hook stage.
Slugging only works only in limited situations for the killer.

Read the entire post and then answer.

If it less beneficial to the killer and easier for survivors to heal up and gain a hook stage then I don't see any problem here. Why do you whine?

Again you don't like lugging because it benefits the killer. If the killer slugs in wrong time, then the killer made a bad play and you won. I don't see a problem here either. None of your reasons make sense.

Slugging is a ######### mechanic. Almost no one uses it to begin with, and will no longer need to with their new endgame mechanics.

Sabo is weak and was only mentioned to be buffed from 3m to 3m 30s. Sabo is going to remain weak.

Self care healing went up by 8s and that is significant.

Everyone who is complaining is overreacting.

Slugging is not a ######### mechanic. It is almost the only mechanic that good killers use.

I don't like to be the doom guy but if they really nerf slugging and the slug meta ends, good killers will not play the game anymore. In their wake, other killers will protest too.

The reason why survivors don't like slugging is because it prolongs the game and is a counter play for gen rushing so the survivors are not able to control the game anymore. Crawling on the ground should be more fun than being hooked imo. If you don't like to crawl and rather stay on the hook motionless you can do the same thing on the ground as well. I can't see a problem here.

The spirit? I already forgot about her, no need to bother anymore since she will dissapear like clown did (top tier btw cough cough  )

and this is what I love salt salt salt more please. Spirit is a mid tier killer if played right she is JUST meant to be for transportation and mindgames that's it and Clown is top tier because he slows and can force pallets down and counter looping where as Billy can't counter looping. Mobility doesn't instantly make a killer top tier or low tier it's if the power helps in a chase and I see Clown being more useful in a chase than Billy.

The reason why you think in this way is because you are not very experienced.

This game was never about dull chasing. One mistake against a hillbilly will ensure 1 hit down. Because of his chainsaw and 1 hit ability, he is able to slug and prolong the game. Because he has his mobility, you are never safe and one mistake you make against him can ensure 4k and this goes on like this. He has moments where he wins the game and snowball effect.

Watch Zubat and you will understand why hillbilly is more powerful than any other killer except for nurse.

I am experienced I don't know how many hours I have since you can't check on console, but I judge killers based off of how well they do in a chase Billy is still top tier with his mobility and insta down, but he can't stop loops and force pallets like Clown can you're entitled to your opinion and how you judge killers, but I judge killers based off of how well they do in chases like how Tru3ta1ent bases his opinion off of how well the killer counters looping and how Bricky another streamer who frequently streams dbd bases his off of if the power helps in a chase. I'm learning to play Billy right now because Hag I need better perks for and Clown I haven't bothered to level him up yet. Keep in mind that this is my opinion if you think Billy is better than anyone else besides Nurse that's your opinion. I just base off of how the power helps in a chase.

Of course everybody has their own opinion and I can't force anybody to think in the way I do.

What streamers think or do doesn't bother me. The only reason why I mentioned Zubat was because I wanted you to know the full potential hillbilly has.

Not to mention tru3 is not that of a good killer. I have nothing against him and like him as a human being but whining all the time and blaming the game all the time is not a good way to go. The reason why he thinks that the game is severely unbalanced is because he thinks that this game is all about chasing people around loops which is a huge mistake.

Of course you can make your tier list around looping but then you won't get the best killers in the game. The only accurate information you will have is the rank of nurse.

Again, if looping was the most important part of this game, then the trapper would be better than hillbilly. Since he is not, we can say that there is more depth to the game and it is not just about chasing people around loops but also pressure, being able to slug, prolonging the game, and mobility also matter.

So this thread https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/16115/i-beg-you-devs-buff-that-killer/p1 and replies in it were so much toxic, that his reply was OK?

If you say yes - you are a biased surv, one of the mass of toxic survs in this game.

Well to be honest, if you put weeks or months of hard work into content for people to test it IN A BETA BY THE WAY and call it trash after two hours it must be incredibly frustrating.

Killers are just as toxic as survivor, they think every killer should be able to 4K the second they come out - and if they have a bad match it's trash. no one can master a killer in two hours- there were multiple posts 2 hours after the beta went live of obvious killer mains demanding buffs, demanding changes, AFTER TWO hours, it's ridiculous.

It is true that you can't master a killer within two hours but you can have an opinion as a veteran player whether a power is good or not. Also, for some reason, people including me was expecting a top tier killer and considering how difficult the new killer is, we can say that she is not going to be played in low ranks and if she is gonna be played at high ranks, she should be viable.

I am sure you played the game a lot and know what killers need in order to be a top tier killer.
    1.Mobility
    2.Ending chases quickly
3.Being able to slug and prolong the game

Nurse and hillbilly have 3 of these while huntress have the last 2 of these.

The new killer is more difficult to play than nurse but I don't think she has any of these.

The mobility her power provides without addons is very limited. Not to mention if you use her power, you will be naked in chases with %110 movement speed for 20 secs which is %20-25 generator progression.

Her power provides almost %50 chance for both sides. She doesn't have massive advantages when she is in the spirit world. Even though lets say that it allows her to end chases quickly, the clown can do that easily while wasting a lot of pallets and plus he is easy to use.

Her power doesn't give people any kind of advantage to slug. If you can slug with her then you can slug with any other killer.

I admit that some killers want easy and deadly killers but at this point saying that she is okay is just being dishonest. I have watched a lot of streamers and they always use purple green addons. Her base power is really really weak imo.

I don't understand people who say that killers should equip x y perks.

When killers try to get their first hook 3 gen pops up. What should they do? Hex:Ruin

Some window placements are really bad and not fair. What should they do? Bamboozle

There are so many pallets in the maps. What should they do? Enduring/brutal strength

None of the killers except for the doc have the ability to locate survivors. What should they do? Whispers and BBQ.

Perks are not the solution for common problems and this is true for both the killer side and survivor side.

Pick your poison. Perks are supposed to help with your weaknesses not make you a God. As much as I love whispers, I've grown as a killer and don't rely on it as much as I used to, so now I can switch it to something else like Brutal Strength or Bamboozle.

Sorry, the forum didn't notify me about your answer so my answer is a little bit late.

I am a survivor main and generally play survivor. I can use whichever perk I want to use when I play survivor and it doesn't change anything for me. Survivors' perks do not help my weaknesses but make me stronger. For example I use Bond, windows of opportunity, WGLF and borrowed time and only windows of opportunity is useful for me.

When I play killer I am forced to use hex ruin all the time. I need at least one tracking perk and I generally use BBQ for that because of extra bloodpoints. You need at least one perk that makes pallets less annoying so you need to choose either enduring or brutal strength etc. There are other problems that can force you to use some perks.

If what you said was true for both sides and perks were for helping our weaknesses, It would make sense. However, this game doesn't give much choice to you when you play as a killer.

lightweight counters predator not bloodhound, no mither is the counter for that and sloppy butcher.

no predator narrows the blood scratches on the ground that survivors make, bloodhound makes more shows pools of blood and blood scratches 4 sec. more then usual

No, predator leaves scratch marks for longer and lightweight makes them disappear faster they are a direct counter to each other. Bloodhound should not even be brought up it has absolutely no relativity to lightweight.

They changed this in the latest update. Predator now narrows scratchmarks, and no longer keeps scratch marks around for longer.

you don't know what your talking about. The is why I say lightweight should be 4 second and not 3 less then normal

The seconds isn't even the point I am making, lightweight has nothing to do with bloodhound in anyway what so ever. It's not related it's not a counter. Your argument is that because bloodhound has 4 seconds then so should lightweight but they are NOT related or connected so your logic baffles me.

look dude what wrong with you? lightweight is the opposite of bloodhound the mark last 4sec. longer, can be tracked 4 sec longer/lightweight the marks are 3 sec. less
then normal I would like lightweight to last 4sec.
they are opposite of each other

I don't understand what you didn't understand here.

Bloodhound affects blood. It has nothing to do with scratch marks. You use bloodhound because sometimes injured survivors stop sprinting to juke you. Normally it is difficult to see blood on the ground and it vanishes easily but when you use bloodhound it is more visible while it lasts longer on the ground.

Lightweight has completely different mechanic. Generally survivors who want to lose the killer use this perk because if the killer makes a mistake and loses the track for a couple of seconds, with the reduced time, the survivor can break the chase.

They are affecting different things and different things have different mechanics. They don't need to be equal.

whats wrong with only using unbreakable?

The spirit is a woman. Why do you refer to her as him? Not everybody is male why do you try to ignore women?

You have collectively blamed Asians for being ######### to women. So not only you are misogynistic but also racist.

  • Balancing this killer is extremely difficult tbh.

Being able to see where people are is a very powerful feature for her. Blood shows us the precise location of the survivor. This literally means activatable bloodlust 9 with almost no drawback.

This means she will be the easiest deadly killer in the game.

I am not saying that she doesn't need buffs but it is very difficult to buff her as she is right now.

They rationalize it for their own pleasure and try to acquiesce in it.
    Are you conscientious?
I'm sure some of you opposed the ethical good.
What's the point of keeping the line in good stead and suddenly retreating?
    to be disappointing
This incident will make the game more difficult to operate with malicious users. The positive assessment of collecting users will be cancelled.

But you don't lose them and you can make money.
The killer's gameability and ideas were well made, but the costumes and stories were overkill.
Certainly we can find better ways.
If you thought the topic of the new killer was really good, if you knew the social atmosphere, you should have applied it to male characters before Spirit to convince users.
    But you didn't.

If he wanted to convey the message, "DBD prefers sexual objectification," the character had to take a pose that emphasized his hips to the fullest. Dead and kept cold, but should have emphasized hips and soft breasts. A muttering body should have reminded the naked body.
The bandage had to reveal between the legs and the hips.
It should have released a male character who was the victim of an unprecedented murder.

Here are some people who refer to The Hillbilly, The Warith, The Hag, and David.
These characters are cleverly created with minimal ethics.
Was 'The Hillbilly' killed by his family? Were you ruled with a tearful cry without killing a man with his own will?
Is 'The Warith' near to nakedness by taking off the cape?
Do you have a loose bandage around your lower body?
Do you pose that exposes the important parts, reveals the hip bones and highlights the hips?
When David was socially, physically and powerfully pressured, he was forced to be stripped to what he didn't intend, making him look like a naked body?
'The Hag'? Is the skin or appearance around her body so similar that it reminds you of a real person?

    Don't you see the difference?
    Okay!
If you can't tell the difference, if you don't mind, just apply it to Spirit as well!
There is a DBD community in my country that is difficult for you to find.
On community sites for regular users, there is already a voice that says that they are sloppy about how they dress.

People tell me I'm jealous of Spirit. But it is prejudice and overuse.
I love Spirit's beauty and great gameability and I think it's great.
But the way Spirit is handled is too immoral. Spirit is sad. I feel sorry for countless women around me who come to mind watching Spirit.
Too many women in Asia are going through the same thing as Spirit, and they are being persecuted in the same way.

Formal exposure and handling are influential.
It makes me even angrier to see people who say disgusting things and exploit them without thinking of problems.
I know that if I ignore this, it will be a cloud that increases the number of women affected by the damage like Spirit I love.
I am very angry with you for your contributions to such a trend.
    People say.
'That doesn't happen to women! Such an event is very rare!'
They live in obscurity and misery.
It is because even if he talks, he doesn't understand, and everyone takes sides with the perpetrator.
    You don't want to know.
Because even if you don't know these facts, your life will not be invaded.
This fact is all plain and miserable at the level of your argument.

You made Spirit without thinking of him as a human being.
You did not humanize the victims in the same situation as Spirit.
People in situations similar to Spirit are not considered.
In Asia, domestic violence is being killed at the same level as the shooting.
He created a pretty poor, low-down delusion for the joys and satisfaction of those in power who had nothing to lose.
Just because Asians treat women like that doesn't mean you should treat them like that. This is the reality of Asian women's rights.
If you cared about your victims and thought about it, Spirit wouldn't have made them walk around crying nakedly, murdered by their father. I feel very insulted.
I'm sick and tired of being forced to deal with Asian women as submissive.

Your society cares about respecting each other as equals.
However, they welcomed and accepted factors that women are exploiting in Asia.
    No, racists! No!
We are under tremendous exploitation, damage and discrimination in the aforementioned atmosphere and are struggling for change.
It was able to start current DBD that was considered for this reason.
You are actually raising your hand against us.
Are you happy to be the perpetrator?
Too many people are reliving their disgusting desires for Spirit and regenerating and becoming dull. Please!
The impact of media content cannot be ignored.
From the moment you don't observe the moral line, you have not created it. It was an act of injury to the users and a reversal of human rights.

Please distinguish between reality and influence.

    Dude #########?

Because releasing those changes without additional changes to the gens or other objectives, will cause mayhem.
Doesn´t matter that the survivors take longer to heal, because there won´t be any hooks and slugging will be worthless.

    I agree.

Slugging was the only option that a couple of killers could choose to slow down the game.

If it gets nerfed without nerfing gen rush and having average/long matches, a lot of good killers will give up playing the game because being able to slug was one of the few skills that decided whether a killer is good or not.

As a survivor? Just keep playing.

It is frustrating though, and I say that as a killer sided person although I am a survivor main.

Clown's extra time addon with bleach addon which also slows you down is just powerful adding no difficulty to the killer.

This is why I almost never use addons for my killers except for different builds like scratch mirror myers or waterlogged shoe + scarred hand hag.

Overall I believe that certain killers' base power should be strengthened while addons should be reworked so that they will provide different play styles rather than making powers more powerful.

For example, an addon for clown could be that when he throws a bottle, instead of slowing down the survivor by %15 for 2 seconds, it could make clown walk %15 faster for 2 seconds. This will ensure a better map pressure while survivors will no longer be affected by ms decrease, blurred vision or slow vaults.

I have been running BW instead of Ruin at R1 lately.

Its main benefit is the element of surprise. If it was always a thing everyone would just leave before you can get the survivor to the hook or hide.

I admit this could potentially become a problem, but at the same time it may also become a form of pressure on the survivors that, if they don't get out of the gate quick enough, they aren't going anywhere.

Maybe they can give survivors scoring events like no one left behind. So it forces them to stay in the game and work for the extra bloodpoints etc.

  • I actually like this idea a lot.

I have always said this. This game needs more mechanics for both sides.

The game should be in phases. Find gas for the generators for the early game, repair generators for the mid game, and this BW effect for the late game could be interesting.

If they are gonna give killers mechanics like this, I actually am okay with giving survivors inbuilt kindred effect etc.

    Use bloodhound on her.

Even from gameplay, it's not hard to tell where an injured survivor is, let alone one that's leaving scratch marks.

    -She has map pressure
-Ambush, Is it really that hard to tell if someone's on a generator? Really? Use your brain.
-She is fun to use and go against, something they aim for.

No survivors are complaining, because infact, most of us think she's fairly balanced. In red ranks on PTB, it's been a very varied test so far - 4Ks here, 0Ks there, 1-3Ks sometimes. Personal experience here. Most of us already adapted, and I've even been using a special build just for her.

Everyone who's so quick to comments, doesn't actually bother with the PTB and actually playing it.

    This is my personal experience.

When she uses her ability for map pressure, she has no weapon against loops. It takes too much time to charge it while she has %110 ms. When she uses it in chases, a lot of pallets are not being used so you always have protection against her.

Her ambush is not that good. I need to be honest, maybe I didn't face enough good killers but I am in the red ranks too.

She is fun to play and go against, I have no objection here.

I think you are making a mistake when you say there are 4Ks etc. I don't think that I have ever done a generator in the PTB. Why would I sit on a generator, try to win the game in PTB? I generally follow the killer, try my new survivor perks, try to get her attention to chase me so that I can observe. It will be very different experience when she goes live because everybody will start to try to win the game as usual.

I actually am okay with that. Newcomers need to have easy but not effective killers. There are two problems with this though.

Why would you make a horror icon like leatherface an easy not effective killer? If anything, billy should have had leatherface's ability while leatherface having billy's ability.

Why would you create 1 or 2 killers for the high ranks and 9-10 for the low ranks? Newcomers and average killers need 4 killers to play. Other 8 should be viable at high ranks.

I don't know about that. All of powerful killers are really old. We need a new top tier killer imo. They have nearly done that with the clown but he doesn't have slugging ability and map pressure.

The clown is my favorite though.

I would rather them not put a killer out too powerful when they still have map redesign to work on. I already know they're going to rework nurse, and it's not going to be for the better.. so top tier? I think would be a mistake... unless they can make her between Huntress/Billy, and I think it's still too early to tell. But if she's Clown tier then I'm fine too because he's up there, I think reight below Myers... and maybe under Wraith after his update. As far as slugging, that's a high risk high reward tactic that you take a chance on to get that 4k. I can't see them blaancing a killer around that even though that's how we play it. If devs are going for 2 death 2 escape as average then I think ikillers like Clown are fine for the average person.

The new building window/door spawn changes are going to be big with everyone besides nurse and that will bring killers up in overall effectiveness.. especially if they make more changes like that.

When did they say that they were gonna rework nurse? I believe they said that they weren't gonna change her. I want to see killers that are as much powerful as hillbilliy. Nurse is stupidly strong while billy is strong but you have your means to fight against him. The most balanced killer imo though you are right about map changes. Maybe it is gonna change the game a little bit.

Nurse base rework** is pure speculation by me because whenever they finally get to map redesign, it's not going to be in the survivor's favor. The nurse is already too strong as she is and will be even stronger after the change. I don't understand why they don't fix the maps first because I think that would help out killers a lot. The window/door changes on the PTB are a good start and I don't think they would need to do a whole lot more to tile rng... unless they were thinking of a complete overhaul of the maps, then yeah that would be a huge project.

**As far as the nurse's perks, those will eventually be changed. Mclean said he wanted to work on all killer perks. He said this on his personal stream.

    I don't think so.

They didn't change the maps a lot. They generally changed the main buildings which have no meaning for nurse since you can't loop her. There is no change in the game that can make her more powerful right now.

None of the nurse's perks is problem. Stridor is bad, thana is really bad I still don't know why people use it and nurse's calling is well between okay and good.

A baby killer can easily reach green and purple ranks. I am neither a baby killer nor a good killer but I reached red ranks. It shouldn't have happened. A survivor shouldn't receive a pip if he scored less than 16-17k, a killer shouldn't receive a pip if he couldn't kill at least 2 people while hooking other guys for once.

Does monitor and abuse reduce it? Isn't this just like the heartbeat or the nurse's blink from the survivor perspective?

From what I've experienced "the whoosh" or whatever you want to call it functions like Freddy's song or the Huntress's singing, nothing lowers or removes it. It's always there when you're around. I haven't seen all of her addons, however, so I'm not sure if any of those impact it but a killer should not be dependent upon addons to become playable.

Other than Nurse, Billy and maybe Myers almost ever killer needs addons, especially playing at high levels. You should however suggest tweaks to the reduction of the whooshing sound either with monitor and abuse or in addons. That along with the cooldown seem like a valid complaints.

which shouldn't be the case in the first place.

Survivors don't need to have items or addons to win the game. Why do killers need it? Devs should have seen it and adjusted their killers' powers but they just ignore.

Killers should not depend on addons and addons that make killers really strong should be removed. 4 blinks, insta chainsaws are not okay and make the killers unnecessarily strong while scarred hand+waterlogged shoe is totally acceptable.

IMO addons should change the playstyle of killers like some of hag's addons or some of Myers's addons.

    She shouldn't depend on addons.

Just tuned into a survivor stream because noone is playing the new killer on twitch anymore.
A few seconds into the stream she answers a question from chat and says that she isnt a "competitive" killer, more like a freddy.

Damn, if this doesnt tell you enough....

She is definitely not a top tier killer. How can I know if it is her first day in the game though?

You don't need to wait for people to adapt the new killer to understand whether she is good or not. There are 3 criteria that decide whether a killer is top tier or not.

Can the new killer cross the map quickly without addons?

Can the new killer end chases quickly?

Can the new killer slug and prolong the game?

If all of answers that you have given to these questions is yes, then she is at the level of nurse or hillbilly.
If 2nd and 3rd questions' answers are yes, then you have a killer that resembles huntress.

Nurse has all of these so I don't need to talk about her.
Hillbilly has all of these and although he can be pallet looped, since he has movement speed, he can go to the other end of the map and chase somebody and come back. He has also one hit ability.
Huntress is slow but she can easily deny windows and when she can hit you with her hatchets, she can easily switch to her m1 and down you instantly. She is one of the easist killers to slug.

The new killer is the most interesting killer in the game; I'll give you that. She can be a really good killer, however, saying she is a top tier killer is just bullshit imo.

    Edit forgot a word lol

    look amazing but weak killer

Have you played with her? Its still too early to declare her "weak"

There are a couple of things that can help you determine whether a killer is good or not.

For a killer to be good you need 3 things. Being able to travel the map quickly, being able to end chases quickly and being able to slug people therefor prolong the game. You need to be able to do these things with your base power without addons.

Nurse have 3 of these, billy has 3 of these and huntress has 2 of these. These killers belong to the top tier.

Then Myers comes because he can slug and has his moments where he wins the game. However from huntress it becomes subjective. You can say that the clown is the 4th etc.

The new killer can't slug very well imo. I mean you can say that she can travel the map but she can only travel short distances fast enough, then you lose your ability for 30 seconds which sucks. If you can play her really really well there might be some potential but as survivors learn how to play against her, you will just lose your time trying to get hits with her power.

We obviously need to wait and see how powerful she is but I don't think she will be better than low mid tier killers. At least I wouldn't put her above clown or myers.

Streamers do well with her because they use really good addons while playing kill your friends. Her base power is really weak.
