  • First of all, DBD is rated 18+

Dont claim stuff before you tried it, even on PC nurse is quite hard to master, but I agree that with controller aim its just outrageous.
Nurse wont be buffed either because she is already the strongest killer and every killer has to switch to her to deal with "those SWF".

One advice for you on console: change sensitivity such that you can swing aroudn faster, that should help you a lot

Oh alright then thank you very much that's all I wanted to know. And by "powerfarming" I mean literally not doing anything BUT what the achievement requiers you to do; Kinda why I wanted to know if it's bannable 'cause it's technically not participating in normal gameplay (griefing/farming).

As long as you hold nobody hostage, its fine usually

  • If you alwasy play as solosurvivor, never as a SWF and never touch killer, then you are not in the position to talk about balance, sorry to tell you that.

Sure, bring killers BP earning lvl down to survivor, but then fix that most killers are addon depedent and lose their stuff after every game, even if they win

Doubtful the UI would look weird.

That's called "work on it", which they would do.

4 is a good number and many games use that same layout.

4 was a good number before they created perks to "fix" broken game mechanics

That's the answer they give you for any ticket you submit and the only one you'll get. Welcome to DBD customer support. EDIT And if you ask a specific question it'll be something like this: "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. This is a known issue that we are currently working on and we can confirm that the technical team is aware of the said issue and they are investigating the matter in order to come up with a resolution for it. At this time, we can't say when it will be fixed, so be sure to keep an eye out for our official announcement through our website or forums."

    Yeah I had a feeling.

Seems like the BHVR support is actually one of the most incompetent ones I have encountered so far.
They honestly believe that using voice comms is bannable too^^

  • They are even too lazy to get new animations in order to rework DS.

But yeah, a multi killer mode is definitely gonna happen soon

A balance change to reduce choice camping would be to not let the killer know how much longer the survivor has on the hook before they die. That would mean a greater chance for unpredictability in survivors in situations where the survivors aren't experts at chase, and the killer is dominating the hook game.

Tell me why the community members agree or disagree.

How does this affect camping at all?

I mean camping literally means that the killer chills next to the survivor until he dies, how does it matter AT ALL whether he sees a timer runing or not?

The timer is actually only useful for killers that DONT camp. Take that away and you will see probably evne more campers

It affects the optimization of camping, making it harder. A killer can’t just leave when there is a fraction more bar left, looking around for unhookers that might be running in last second; they have to wait until they see the survivor stabbed with spikes. That gives roughly 10 extra seconds at the end of a sacrifice for survivors who aren’t in comms to make up for their inefficiency during that time.

I dont think you know what "camping" actually means and I believe you are talking about "patroling" actually.
A killer that camps doesnt move away from teh hook anyway and doesnt give a ######### about any timer until the survivor is dead^^

  • The devs support this kind of behaviour. (fogstreamer etc)
Survivors derank this way without hurting the team in order not to give a free win to the killer.
But at least you got your BBQ stack....

Short answer: Because Sony & MS limit it.

Play style answer: Because its a huge advantage that most players won't have. To say "go buy a M&K" then, is the same as us saying, "Go buy a PC then".

Technical Answer: There may be additional technical issues that allowing USB or Bluetooth devices outside of those specifically made for the hardware that goes through a defined process may open the consoles up to hardware and software hacks that could lead to cheating or rooting of the consoles. This happens a bit already, but its small enough percentage and user base to not really be a problem.

Personal answer: I don't want to use a M&K even if it were available. I sit at a computer, hands on a mouse and keyboard for 8 hours of my day already, I don't want to do it on my leisure time too.

Even on my crappy wii from the "last century" I was able to plug in a keyboard to actually type properly.

  • @Jockey404ENF said:
Survivors don't have that much of a problem with controllers, but killers really have a bad time, and at maximum sensitivity it's really slow, so why don't you add M&K support?

Probably never gonna happen when it comes to sony....

So near the end of the game there's two people left. The killer slugs one and goes looking for the other. That's fine, I have no problem with that.

However recently I've noticed a trend where the killer gets the survivor to work for them. So the killer slugs a survivor....then just stands behind them. You can't go in for the heal because you know it's a trap and the killer will down you before you could possibly heal this survivor up. So the survivor having nothing to do crawls towards you ratting out your location. The killer KNOWS this will happen and it's becoming quite common.

If you ask me this should count as "working with the killer". I mean I get it the downed survivor can't do anything else - and that seems to be the problem. It's just that there's something really dirty about a fellow survivor giving away your location. If a killer tries doing that with me I tend to lead them in the opposite direction just because I'd rather someone get hatch than have a total 4k wipeout.

Is this reportable? or is this part of the game?

Thats not reportable, thats a strategy from the killer and even the survivor crawling towards you is not doing any bannable offense.

    It's for a purpose.

You are killing someone down there in the basement. It's like extended camping thus not bannable. Except that facecamping was bannable and they changed the game to allow survivors to unhook from all sides. And that isnt camping, its holding the game hostage to me

Facecamping was never bannable, stop lying.

as I said "Im pretty sure ive seen a stream where a dev said a killer who repeatedly facecamps (pre unhook change) could be banned."

I could be wrong, but i believe this to be true.

you are wrong, facecamping was never bannable, nor was it holding the game hostage, or else we'd have to define looping as holding the game hostage too.

You are not entitled to an unhook just for existing.

You are entitled to the ability to unhook. That is my stance on the argument. The killer can do what they will to prevent you if they wish, but i believe there should at least be a chance as i stated a basement camping leatherface is okay with me, i have a chance to make him run into something/miss/etc and get the save.

No you aren't, stop being an entitled baby.

    Lemme play an uno reverse
Just because you hook someone in the basement doesnt mean you are entitled to killing them.

If you waste 120 seconds standing at the stairs, you are.
You just wasted the time of potential 4 gens being done by this time.

    Lol don't whine about it.
    It's a bad strategy.

i feel like a scenario where even 3 gens get done in that situation is unlikely

It takes 80 seconds for the remaining survivors to get 3 gens done.
It takes 120 seconds for the basement survivor to die

Fact is that they can even do a 4th one within 33.33 seconds, i.e. only 80+33 seconds to get 4 gens done, assuming they know where the gens are already.

Basically, if the survivors are clever enough not to throw themselves at the afk killer, then the killer immediately hands over the game to the other 3 survivor once he commits to a 2 minute camp.

In reality though survivors are stupid and dont understand that they just have to hold M1. Instead they throw themselves at the camping killer even though they know very well that they camp.
Call it whatever you want, stupidity, entitlement, over altruism or whatever. Fact is that its the survivors decision to lose in such a scenario

The time they would spend in dream world trying to get out of it is way more worth than that tiny gen regression

Right, but the idea is they would be failing that skillcheck on purpose. Or it at the very least would slow them down if they wanted for some reason to HIT it then fail a regular skill check.

    I hoenstly dont know.

As I said, the time they spend in dream world is more valueable than the overcharge penalty.
Dont forget that survivors repair only with 50% when asleep

bodyblocking away from unhooking in the basement is indeed an intended feature, the devs have been pretty clear that its not holding hostage, pls get your facts straight.

which comment do you mean? you literally posted 2 things in this discussion, the 1st being the discussion itself, where you complain about camping and then a comment where you explain what camping is.

and if you complain about camping, that usually means, that you were the guy on the hook, since why would i complain if i get a free win? i just grab as many points as i can and leave, no problem with that.

so why do ppl like you complain about camping?

easy answer: cause you are the guy on the hook, got no chance of making any points and will lose a pip, and there is nothing you can do about this.

    see?

when you complained about camping, you complained about the killer killing you, or even your friend, that does not even matter. fact is: the person on the hook screwed up and now gets heavily punished for it.

Yep. You got it man. You know exactly how I play the game...I don't get caught often but when I do, most are campers. Most will actually block the hook altogether as to make sure a survivor can't even attempt an unhook. I also have a perk that let's me see the killer aura when I finish a gen and surprise surprise when you see a killer camping a hooked survivor. No movement, but that's not camping right?

    Rank 13 survivor spotted.

Again. CAN YOU READ? It is not just me. Or my friend. It's other survivors I see being camped. Is that really such a [BAD WORD] hard thing to grasp? Does your brain not process what it sees properly? I guess not.

The whole hook progression needs to be half the time for someone do a gen solo. Having to hang 4 people 3 times each the majority of the time is not fair to game timing. The survivors should not have time to finish the gen they are on before thinking about saving someone on a hook.

If you want to play the game time-efficiently and do well, you need to slugg. Currently there is no way around that even though a lot of "killer mains" claim that they 4k by 3 hooking everyone without tunneling at rank 1 90% of all games

It's a serious problem. I honestly hope they rework how the ranking system works so we don't have de-pipping experienced players wanting to bully newer players all the time. My experience as a new player was [BAD WORD] terrible because of it lol

For that they simply need to balance the game arouind high lvls, not beginner players, then they need to introduce a proper ranking system where not everyone gets rank 1 by simply playing the game, we need seasonal rewards and we need a casual mode.

I highly doubt we will get anythign on that list anytime soon sadly

I know, but it still sucks getting started in this game for this reason. Smurfing is a problem in any game. The learning curve is pretty high too, so new players have an incredible number of obstacles when they first start since deranking is far worse than smurfing (due to having many of the perks, add-ons, etc. that you see at higher ranks). It's something I'd want to see them work on in the future hopefully, since it's easy to get turned away early because of this early experience.

The learning curve isnt high at all. The real problem is that you have to watch youtube tutorials in order to learn how the game is really played. Which player would have thought that survivors and killers have different hitboxes and that runing in tight circles the whole game actually is teh best strategy?

Well I didnt know that when I purchased DBD and Im thankful for that, the time before I realized this fact was the most enjoyable time in my opinion. Played casually with my friends on low ranks from time to time and never got into the game properly, get wrecked all the time and had a real horror experience.

Then I did the mistake to start playing as killer, played the game a bit more frequently and climbed the ranks. Then I realized how DBD Is actually played and that survivors are the actual powerrole.

  • Dont worry, there are no banns on PS4 anyway
