Although I agree camping isn't fun for the survivor on the hook it will suck now that SWF will simply abuse the new system and killers will have to watch obvious hook rescues simply because they are getting penalized for over altruistic plays. I don't camp myself and it isn't difficult to know someone is around but unless I see scratch marks or the survivor themselves I leave, now there will be less of a reason to be stealthy in your approach.

Unless I missed something in regards to this change in which case please correct me.

People forget you don't lose points if another survivor is within 16 meters of the hook. If people are near and you're camping you're fine.

You have no tools that tell you whether a survivor is within those 16 meters.

Even if I ignore my team completley, I always manage to pip just doing gens. Even if I manage to avoid looping, I still pip by escaping+gens

Maybe it's just a perception thing? I agree it can be done (although I'll admit I'm surprised it's not as hard as I thought, since I did it myself this morning), but most people I know of keep saying that you'll need a gen and a rescue or two to pip as a survivor. If that's what people think, it may still explain the hook rushing behaviour.

Or I could be completely wrong, and they do it for other reasons. :)

We know exactly how emblems work.
You start with a bronze benevolent emblem, this means that if you get iridesecent in gens and escape, then you piped already without even being a single second in the killers terror radius or performing ANY altruistic action.

I know "most" people claim a lot because they feel like they do way more than they actually do, but there is no doubt, we know exactly how the emblems work

    Talking about objective unbalance.

4 survivors need 110 seconds at gens to complete their gen objective.

A single survivor stays 2 minutes on hook until he dies

A single person on a gen without any aid takes only 80 seconds smart guy lol

yes and 4 survivors working optimally on gens take 110 sec, to be precise it actually only takes 80+28.57=108.57 seconds

Wait can you explain where you got the 28.57? I'm missing something. And did you mean that 4 survivors working on a gen each?

yes first each survivor works solo on a gen(80), then all 4 on one (28.57)

Thats the optimal way to do it

Are you new or something? 2 minuted to die on hook gauranteed if they get face camped by leather face, if not it isn't two minutes. It's whatever time it takes to find, eat a loop, and hook. Optimally people will work on separate gens as if it takes a killer over 90 seconds to find and down one survivor 3 gens would have popped. 10-15 seconds to find survivor, maybe 60 seconds at least in chase unless survivor is a noob, then hook 78 seconds, then find another survivor which is at least 5 to 15 seconds. You gotta be a troll or survivor main.

I am a killer main btw, we were talking about pure objective time, i.e. gentime or time on hook.
But even looking at those numbers, completely forgetting about looping....... its kinda insane

Yeah because the Killer never chases anyone in this game....

We were talking about pure objective times only.
Oh and btw, I believe its a lot easier for the survivors to run from one generator to another while the killer has to follow survivors through the loops first in order to down one. And the killer can only chase one at a time

Ehm isnt PS4 where ochido is doing his work?

One of the biggest difference between platforms is that the nurse and huntress are not (mostly not) played due to low fps and controller aim. This makes the game significantly easier for survivors on consoles.

Also you ahve to keep in mind that the console community is not as old as the PC one and is still learning (especially PS4 since that free ps+ thing)

Pretty sure he's on PC unless something has changed since Tru3Ta1ent has played him on occasion.

PC has an edge naturally since being able to use a mouse is far more accurate than the Xbox or Ps4 controller. Granted both survivors and killers will have a mouse so it evens out, but the point stands.

Ochido was perma hardware banned on PC, thats why he immigrated to PS4 where the devs still have no possibility to bann players.

It doesnt matter whether you use m/K or controller for survivor, there are actually some survivors that play with controller on PC (even marth does that btw), so controller is basically a killer-only disadvantage

Ochido isn’t even that good he plays against noobs and gets wrecked by his own rank when he plays them and says “killer OP nerf now”

Nobody claimed that he is good. Its enough to bully low rank killers though

  • What happens to the original key items?
What happens when the killer camps the chest?
What about survivor holding the game hostage?

It was way easier to pip before the emblem system was implemented so at least they’ve throttled it down more than it was

The first emblem iteration was perfect, but survivor complained that they had to work for their pips now.
Thats why devs made it easy AF to pip again.

BBQ was supposed to be an "anti camp" perk, but what it actually does is that it exposes hook swarming survivors such that you dont leave teh area.

I blame the pipping. You can do all the gens, but if you don't save someone from the hook then it's hard to get those pips. Bad for everyone - especially the poor sap who gets unhooked in front of the killer by Jake.

So even when the killer is camping, even when you signal that the killer is camping, and even when there are gens still to do, everyone runs to the damn hook.

Even if I ignore my team completley, I always manage to pip just doing gens. Even if I manage to avoid looping, I still pip by escaping+gens

Survivors throw themselves at the hook to save their mates, believing that they are entitled to escape together and if the killer doesnt allow this, then he is the "bad camping guy".

Btw, survivors created the campers, in the beginning before SWF really was a thing, people rarely camped at all (only if you abused those infinites  )

BBQ was supposed to be an "anti camp" perk, but what it actually does is that it exposes hook swarming survivors such that you dont leave teh area.

MYC is quite unreliable on some killers, gotta test it with hag now after the QoL change.

the killer find it first, THEY DESERVE THE WIN! if the surivor finds it, THEY deserve the win, if the killer close the hatch just give a repair buff of 200% to the survivor and if they repair 1 gen both doors and the hatch open, you get out for free now, adrenaline triggers, noed doesn't.

when the killer killed 3 surivors and they have to camp the hatch, they are taken hostage by the game, and killers should ALWAYS be the one winning if they are at the hatch in same time, grab them directly or anything, killer is here first or if they are here in same time, killer wins anyway, it is a last resort for the survivor to win, not a free escape if they are there in same time, killer should always win if they find the hatch first, and survivors have to repair a gen to escape, 200% speed is really good and it will barely take 30 seconds to repair a gen, if it isn't repaired already. let us close the hatch, this is getting ridiculous that killers doesn't get their fourth kill because of the broken mechanics of the hatch.

The hatch closing mechanic did not satisfy survivors, thats why it was dismissed, just like the SC and DS rework

  • @Visionmaker said:

    @suffering23 said:
the killer find it first, THEY DESERVE THE WIN!

No, they don't. Killers are not entitled to be rewarded for finding survivor objectives. And you act as if Killers lose if a survivor finds the hatch. They do not lose. Kills aren't miraculously reverted. A 3k doesn't turn into a loss, and getting a kill on the last survivor doesn't make it a win.

Your whole post hinges on the idea that killers deserve something for finding a hatch, as if the hatch was a killer objective. Let's make this clear. It is not. The hatch standoff is ass, but so is the idea of "last one to the hatch is a rotten egg".

The hatch is the necessary counterbalance for two features: (1) survivors killed are permanently removed from the game, and (2) survivors have significantly less chances of winning with fewer teammates. It should not be pointless for a survivor to try to survivor alone. I do not think the hatch should open so easily, but I also do not think the killer should interact with the hatch.

But survivors are entitled to be rewarded the hatch, yeah we all know

Nurses calling can be quite helpful if you have problems tracking survivors, maybe switch it with distressing.
I prefer brutal strength over enduring because survivors tend to drop pallets earlier vs doc

Addons I recommend the discipline one that increases the madness rate and some range addon (even the common one is very good already)

Skillcheck builds only work on Doc because you can dedicate 3 perks to it along his core power.
Distressing because he is the only killer whos core power benefits from a bigger TR.
And at some point the survivor start ignoring the heartbeat and start healing anyway, because the TR is "everywhere" and NC helps you interrupt them and also snap out is shown with NC, which helps to keep them from doing it and make them stay longer in Madness 3.
He is one of the few killer that can slow the gens down without the need of using Ruin and risk of it being broken in the first 20 seconds of the game.

How exactly does he slow down the game when survivors manage to hit the skillchecks, the only thing different is that survivpors have no snap out of it after they looped you around the whole map in order to be able to do gens again

And I switched to PC since Xbox got boring rank 1 was easy to get to and it was ridiculous how overused killers like Myers were :( . So I played a little survivor and decided to try out Nurse, my only perk was a nurses calling, no addons and I 4 manned in the Asylum with only 1 blink missed and then I 3 manned in the Shelter woods (Last guy got hatch due to the hatch spawning when I slugged them because exit gates were open, almost got him tho ^^). I had no addons and I dont get why faster turning and better frames make her so easy to use. I literally watched 1 nurse guide telling me to zigzag blink (Ardetha's guide on YT) and other things and I find her so easy? Am I naturally good at her or is she easy to play on PC. I have more struggles playing Trapper lol. Btw PC community is so nice I love it here ^^.

Rank isn't the same since emblems, horrible rank 1s who can't keep a killer busy for 30 seconds exist. Good that you're practicing on those lames lol. Nice people, but haven't earned their rank. Their Division/Tier system is a massive step down from Elo. It's not dynamic, locks players into sets of players of uneven skill, and has busted "Promo Series" that stacks you with players outside of your skill brackets by huge margins.

The system is broken and exploitable to the highest degrees. I used to boost accounts for years in that game, so people could get the end of season rewards.
