You must be actually stupid, if you think those two things are actually comparable.

And why is that? Because one of them is a tool that can be used by the killer, and is therefore game breaking and OP?

I actually think NOED needs a buff. It's not fair that it can be countered when DS and Adrenaline can't.

Adrenaline isn't that bad, it doesn't get in use half the time.

Mhh... now that I think about it...
Adrenaline is the survivors version of NOED. But reversed. NOED halves the amount of hit required to down a survivor. While adrenaline doubles the amount.

    For once we agree lol

I mean you could argue NOED is more powerful because its not a 1 time use like adrenaline, but the fact is if all survivors gain an instaheal end game when there is 20 seconds remaining how on earth is any killer outside of those with instadowns meant to counter that? NOED is the only counter.

If the one that you're chasing gains a health boost and a speed burst it can easily buy the team the time needed to open both exit gates and then the rest can bodyblock so they make it out.

Something like haunted grounds would be long gone by then. MYC useless at that time as well.

I don't think Noed can go without adrenaline going.

If all 4 survivors gain the instaheal from adrenaline i blame the killer, honestly.
Noed can stay as well, i've never had any issue with that perk either.

If all 4 survivors equip a perk and collectively hold M1 for 400 seconds and that somehow heals them you blame the killer? Are you ok?

Honestly, yes the killer is to blame. They have so much perks to delay the game and one of them is a free perk (sloppy butcher) so if they let survivors get to end game without managing to 4 men then they are to blame since every killer can stall a game for long enough to 4 men.

Oh, they can? Tell me that the 4 ft hag can hobble around at 110% speed and protect her game stalling perks.
    Ruin? Gone in 30s
    Huntress Lullaby? Gone in 30s
    TOTH: Gone in 30s

Meanwhile, survivors have ACTUALL tools to slow down the killer.
    Pallets
    DS
    SB
    DH
    BL
    Near Infinite Windows
    Sabotage hooks
    Bodyblocking
    Flashlight saves
    Instamedkit saves
    Pallet saves

  • When the pot calls the kettle black...

Ruin & NOED combo. Pink mori. Slugging. Tunneling. Camping. Nurse. Iridescent hatchets. Prayer Beads. Infinite Tier 3. Amanda's Letter + body block a box. Legion Bloodhound chase cheese. Doc 3 gen. Bubba's basement.

Killers have PLENTY of OP and BS stuff they can do. Maybe try actually playing survivor and you will see their stuff isn't actually that strong. The only legit complaint is DS because 4 people can use it. But when just the obsession has it, it's completely fine because you can play around it.

More like when the kettle calls the pot black
    Ruin and NOED? Cleanse totems.

Pink mori, iri hatchets, prayer beads, Amanda's letter are all ultra rare perks/add-ons whereas SC and DS are reusable perks.

And hatch is a BASE GAME MECHANIC. BULL. #########.

And you know what's funny? Believe or not i'm better as a killer than as a survivor.
    1) I don't see any pictures

    2) I find it hard to believe that you are better at killer than survivor when killer is generally harder to play. Any time anyone on this forum asks for a killer buff you jump on them and tell them they just suck. That's not being skilled. That's just stupid.
@M2Frame Ok i'll send it again.

Rank 1 killer hag main (i play with most killers though), can you see it now?
    2 things:
1- if you payed more attention you would see me in different threads asking for buffs for specific killers, the ones who really need it, like leatherface. Feel free to check my comments out in my profile.
2 - it's hard to believe that i do better as a killer than as a survivor becauae APPARENTLY i refuse any kind of killer buff? Well, if we apply the logic wouldn't make sense to ask for buffs (which i do, as i said) for a role which i already dominate and get good results. Like a thread from a few days ago asking to buff the hag, sure, like she needs to be buffed lol.
I jump to this kind of suggestions because people don't realize that it's them, not the killer's fault. I know it's hard to accept but everyone has to face the reality.
Just one last thing, how often do you play as a survivor. I'm asking because in case you didnt know playing as survivor makes you a way better killer.
Ok. I did jump to conclusion and possibly embellish a bit and for that I apologize. Sometimes, to me, it just seems like when people ask for over-the-top killer buffs, you put them down a little harsh.
Of course i agree that certain killers need buffs. Cannible, trapper, wraith, pig, legion.
But I also think killers in general need buffs. Real buffs to counter gen rush. Not band-aid perks. That's all. But do you think gen rush is a problem?

Those are not taking into consideration the bugs caused by the engine update, but those are new, so its fair to see how long they take to fix them.

Oh yea dude, utterly unplayable, totally ruined.

They tried better hitboxes with the Huntress and all the huntress killers that relied on their lag to hit around corners weren't happy with the accurate hitboxes, how unfortunate.

I've never seen anyone complain about clown bottles?

I don't camp so honestly will never experience the invincibility frame issues so won't comment on that one.

That's because they only "fixed" the hitboxes in relation to survivors, not trucks, rocks and other terrain.

You're not entitled to a 4th kill and need to get over that sense of entitlement, if you want that 4th kill slug the 3rd or hook them enar where the hatch will spawn. The killer has options right now but you don't want to use them and instead want a free kill.

I never said that. It just doesn't seem fair for me to earn a 3k and then be stopped from a 4k by an unbalanced game mechanic that is WELL KNOWN AND GENERALLY AGREED TO BE A POOR DESIGN CHOICE.

Anyway, someone could just at easily say you don't deserve a free escape...
  • I agree with the fact that the perk is unusable. So how would I rework it?
Surveillance: the auras of 2 regressing generators will be shown to you for 16/24/32 seconds.
During this time, if a survivor touches it, they will be shown to you for 3/6/9 seconds.

  • Peanits said:

I don't think you'll find many people who will tell you that the hatch is great, but let's just explore the alternative for a second.

So you close the hatch. Now what?

The survivor needs to power up to three generators as the killer patrols them. You can very easily patrol an entire map in 80 seconds (the time it takes for that one survivor to fix a generator), and if you hear that a generator has progressed, you'll know the survivor is around. For the survivor, touching a generator is suicide. It's a "come kill me" alarm. In a normal game, this is no big deal, you get chased, other people keep fixing generators and then maybe you get saved. When you're the last survivor, that's it, that's game over.

So naturally, they would wait for the perfect opportunity, where they can magically completely fix a generator before the killer can return, except that opportunity never comes. If they attempt to fix a generator, they're dead. Queue the hide and seek world championship. They have no reason to try to escape because trying to escape is actually trying to die faster. They wouldn't be griefing either because by definition they are just trying to win.

I'm totally down for an end-game rework, but closing the hatch alone would not quite work. Even if it powers the gates and allows the survivors to work on either one, it would be pretty much the same situation. Some gates spawn just a couple of miles away from each other, making them incredibly easy to patrol. On some occasions, they even spawn in eyeshot of each other, so you could literally stand in front of one and stare at the other. If the survivor dares to touch them, they get a red "come kill me" light on them too.

TL;DR: It's great on paper, but it wouldn't quite work in practice. That is why the hatch change didn't go through.

After the killer closes the hatch, the match ends.
It counts as a kill for the killer and death for the survivor. Seems about as fair as it is right now for the killer
  • It was overall, really good, but the hex perk is the same as hex: devour hope. Might need to change that.
  • Actually, Que times are longer for two reasons.
    1) There is a new killer that people want to try
    2) Less new people joining the game because it has bad reviews. Why? Because salty survivors (probably including you'll review bomb the game every time the smaller killer buff happenes
  • There is a punishment for camping. Killers within a certain range of the hook suffer from decreased emblem gain for gatekeeper.
  • Ok, this is nice for the solo survivors but I don't see how this would be good and "fair" for killers.
In the grand scheme of things about 70% of matches have some form of SWF. I don't think it's fair to always be nerfing killers at the expense of 30% of survivors in matches.

This is a rant for a different time but any buff given to solo survivors is also a buff for SWF. I get that people want to bring solo survivors up to the level of SWF but I don't see why. SWF are objectively more toxic than solo survivors, have a higher survival rate and are fundamentally broken.

OP, the chance that 1 person would have to break 5 totems is extremely rare. If you are the only survivor left, chances are, the hatch is open. If the hatch isn't open, that means that the killer killed 3 people before 2 gens were done. At that point, the killer deserves his win.

It also stands that you and 3 other survivors don't have to break 5 totems. If the perk activates, then you potentially only have to break 1 and that 1 totem glows like a beacon.

I'm sorry but NOED is fine the way it is.

Dude that's still really underwhelming. The power needs a rework to be good.
How about a 5s charge when looking at the survivor. When the power is released, the survivor will be forced into 1st person view and see heavy fog and no auras until they find I don't know, a science lab emergency eyewash station. These could spawn like the pig's jigsaw boxes. Each one could only have 3 uses though. I think that would be a force to be reckoned with!

  • I want my idea to be implemented.
    Do you want skill?
How about a skill check battle!
When both people are within 8m of the hatch, the killer can hit the survivor to activate the skill check battle. The survivor will try to jump in the hatch but the killer will grab their ankle. Both people will get the same skill checks that get more difficult.

If the killer fails a skill check, the survivor kicks them in the face and crawls into the hatch.
If the survivor faiks a skill check, the killer will yank them back and perform a mori.

This is the most fair way.

I was thinking more on the lines of the survivor getting bonus Lightbringer points when other survivors complete generators while you are on the hook. That way, you'll still have a great chance to pip (If your teammates do generators) while the killer gets his sacrifice.
Why would a survivor who got caught and did no gens deserve light bringer emblem points?
Killers lose emblem points for camping now, so why should survivors gain emblem points for getting caught?
  • That's not latency. It's intended. If survivors can fit through a window, killers can fit their arm through.
  • I think something that would bring him up to speed would be this:
After his power bar has drained he can still run and vault pallets but when he attacks, instead of attacking, he will go into power cooldown
  • No, it's still the same game, you're just being stupid.

Yes, there are more survivor outfits because there are more survivors and it's easy to create new clothes to slap on them rather than completely reskinning a killer. But guess what? It doesn't matter because it's just cosmetics.

"The killers are getting more and more pushed in a party clown/chaser role. You are here to entertain the survivors, not to kill or to win."

No, you're still here to kill them. Literally, the only thing that says you aren't are forums where people whine about being killed.

"You are incentives to not camp because that's unfun for the survivor. "

No, you're incentivized to play smarter. Staring at someone on hook til they die is not smart, it's you being willfully stupid. Patrol hooks like they're gens. You don't just stand next to a random gen hoping to get a bite so why would you facecamp. Just go on a large patrol and when they get unhooked go back, ideally you'd already be making your way back while they do.

    "You should not tunnel"

Not true. Just don't tunnel good players in the beginning because you're giving them a headstart. If they're really good at running and in a good place just go find someone else.

If they just got off-hook slug them and then chase their friend and get a hit on them or a down if you can.

"and with the new killer, you should not down a survivor."

That's because he's new and terrible right now. He can't down for ######### but he's literally the best at getting hits. He needs increased movement speed and a slight rework with his power, he's going to get a buff regardless.

"Chase them, spread out the love. Don't use a hook twice. Let them get off the hook to get the dopamine rush from the escape.
Make the game "hard" but let them escape.
Swallow your pride, take a beating, smile and say ty for the great game, it was sooo close!"

No, it's called you need to play better and smarter and not care about what is or isn't toxic by the communities standards. You even admitted that you can't get a 4k if the survivors don't throw themselves at you.

The problem here is YOU, not THEM.

"Just imagine yourself as an entertainer at a kindergarten birthday party, you roughhouse a bit, but at the end of the day, no one should get hurt and it's all fun and giggles."

Nope. It's called you need to play better.

"SWF using voice is becoming more and more prominent, so why don't let the killers in and have fun too? Make one party chat for all, so everyone can have fun."

No. It's called play smarter and doesn't play stupid.

All of what you have said here and in your other posts is indicative of how YOU play and YOUR own weaknesses.

You're just a low tier killer main and you're whining about survivors getting "preferential treatment" rather than trying to fix yourself.

    Be like me.

    Smart and ruthless.

    I don't give a ######### what the survivors think.

Because I'm not here for their feelings or to baby them.

I'm here to kill them no matter what.

They're here to escape no matter what.

You aren't there to be a daycare worker.

Stop willfully playing like one and stop caring what anyone thinks and learn how to actually play the game for yourself rather than playing the part that no one said you had to other than yourself.

I'm not sure you understand what he's saying.

He's making allusions to aspects of the ptb update

You "don't get to use the same hook twice" because of the new survivor perk.
You "can't tunnel" because the new 'deep wound' status doesn't tick while in a chase
You are "forced to spread out the love" because the legion's power goes on cooldown and they get a stun when attacking a player that already has deep wound.

And for the record, he makes really valid points about survivors. SWF makes 70% of the player base. The Devs cater to them and give them more cosmetics and better perks. In turn, they feel entitled, and have a history of review bombing when they don't get their way.

I'm sorry but survivors tend to be more toxic and whiney than killers. They complain. They review bomb. They make threats to camping killers and they act victimized every time killers get a small buff.
Nothing anyone says will change my mind.
  • He looks fun to use, that’s all I care about. Not every killer needs to be S tier.
    I agree with that.

But at the same time, not every killer needs to e C tier too. We already got

    Clown
    Hag
    Spirit
    Doctor
To fill up the mid-tier. And

    Trapper
    Freddy
    Wraith
    Pig
To fill up the low tier.

We're all just saying that the top tier
    Nurse
    Billy
    Myers

Could have used another killer before one of those lists got yet another mediocre killer.

  • I agree with everything except needing a medkit/SC to mend.
We don't want to force perks on people
(Even though Ruin and Enduring are forced on killers)
  • Being notified two people are on a gen seems like a help in slowing down gens. Or am I insane?
Any "fix" that requires a perk is just a band-aid. Not a real fix.
  • I thought you were going to say place your bets on how many hours it will take before survivors call the legion OP and they get gutted...

The only reason people play SWF instead of KYF is that they get an unfair advantage in ranked play. It's cheating, more or less and everyone who plays SWF knows its unfair.

If you want to play with your friends, invite a 5th person and play KYF. Don't ruin the game for everyone else.

  • Ok the third seal is used to punish survivors and make the game harder especially for swf I already stated why for dh but it slows the game down with tier two slugging lulllaby slows the game down and works great with ruin as a combo set the devs changed noes to exposed all teirs as reply to feedback on it's use and it punishes gen rushers and this that refuse to leave the game with exposed downs making them leave or die and Toth is used to protect your hex perks from being destroyed
Well my rework does all that AND you get to use them for more than 1 minute so I don't see anything wrong
  • Ok so in regard to my original post, a lot of people seem to think these ideas are outlandish and killer sided.

I think the hatch should be in favor of whoever finds it first. A common complaint from survivors is also that if a match close were implemented, survivors would be stuck having no chance of escape and would be left to hide until the killer DCS, do 2 gens, or pallet loop / sabo farm. I will take that into consideration with my new rework because it is a valid complaint. What is not a valid complainant, however, is that killers think they deserve a 4k. This is the same as saying survivors deserve an escape. That's the whole reason the hatch is under flame right now because it's putting off the vibe that survivors do deserve a free escape.

I will try to find some common ground.

    First off-
    CONSTRAINTS
    1) The match must end quickly when dealing with a hatch interaction (No standoffs and no 'goings on' after the hatch has been interacted with)
    2) The hatch must give both parties a fair chance
    3) The hatch must not be available early in the trial
4)The hatch must not give bonus points so as to reduce the urge to farm the hatch. 5k for an escape. No more. No less.

    REWORK COMPONENTS

    None negotiable
    1) Survivors with an RBT cannot use the hatch... When the killer is the pig, the hatch will spawn with some red lights that warn the survivor that it is not safe to enter.
2)The killer should have some slight advantage when dealing with the hatch because they have the superior strength, drive and the home turf advantage if you would
    3) The hatch will never spawn when more than 1 survivor is still on the map. (This will prevent survivors from prioritizing the hatch over helping each other)

THE REWORKS (In order of least fair to most fair)

    1) The killer can no longer grab the survivor as the jump into the hatch. However, the killer can jump into the hatch and end the game. It will give him 7k points and the last survivor will be considered dead. (This is the current hatch mechanic, but available for the killer too. (It's a bad idea, but the current hatch is really unfair to the killer as it is right now when you read that out loud))

    2) The killer can close the hatch. After the hatch is closed, it cannot be opened. Closing the hatch will power the exit gates and open them by 10% if 3 gens were left, 20 for 2 and 30

    3) The killer can no longer grab the survivor as they attempt to use the hatch. When the killer and survivor are both in hearing distance of the hatch, the killer can hit the survivor to activate a skill check battle.
The animation would be the killer grabbing the survivors ankle and the survivor trying to crawl to the hatch. The winning party will escape through the hatch or mori the survivor respectively.

All of these ideas together would be op but one or maybe even two would be good

    1) (Entrance Conditions)
Survivors can no longer enter the hatch if they
    - Have a Reverse Bear Trap
    - Are in madness 3
    - Are intoxicated
-Have 3 or more status effects

    2) (Spawn Push Back)
The hatch spawns after 4 gens are completed, not 2

    3) (Hatch Close)
The killer can close the hatch if they find it before the survivor. As compensation (because survivors seem to think there always must be a way for them to escape some way, ) Both exit gates will instantly be open by 30%

    Need feedback.

Listen, if it comes to the point where you've killed all, but one survivor, I think they need the hatch as a way to give them some sort of chance. Besides, if you don't want the survivor to get the hatch, leave another one alive. Slug that sucker. Buys you plenty of time, I guarantee it.
That's exactly what they don't need. People always talk about killers thinking they deserve a 4k but in reality, you just proved my point. A person who thinks survivors need a fair chance of escape after failing to open 1 good damn exit gate and leave.
  • We don't need all these 1000 word solutions. I have 4 ideas for fixing hatch standoff issues (not all 3 at the same time)

    1) The hatch spawns after 4 gens are done, not

    2) Survivors can no longer need the hatch if they
    -Have and RBT
    -Are Intoxicated
    -Are in Madness 3
-Have 3 or more status effects

    3) The killer can close the hatch. It cannot be reopened without a key (no magic key will spawn). However, after the killer has closed the hatch, as compensation for the survivors, both exit gates will be opened by 33%

    4) If a hatch standoff takes place, the killer can hit the survivor to initiate a skill check battle. The animation will be the killer pulling the survivor's ankle as they try to crawl into the hatch. If the survivor wins, they will kick the killer in the face and crawl into the hatch. If the killer wins, they will yank the survivor back away from the hatch and perform their mori
  • Maybe this:
Base Mori - Able to kill 1 survivor who has been hooked 2 times

Bamboo: (Uncommon) Able to kill 2 survivors who have been hooked 2 times

Cypress: (Rare) Able to kill all survivors who have been hooked 2 times

Ivory: (Very Rare) Able to kill 3 survivors who have been hooked 1 time.

Ebony: (Ultra Rare) Able to kill 3 survivors who have been hooked 1 time. Able to kill the last survivor with no criteria.
  • Honestly the Huntress and Trapper are very simple and I think simplicity is good.
The Hag however, has the best lore creative character design
  • Remove SWF fron public matches
Give public matches a proximity based voice chat (8 - 12m)
    Give base kindred
Give base empath (opposite of empathy: when injured see healthy survivors)

  • 1) Most killers pretend looping is bad, then proceed to tunnel the s**t out of every single player until they can be hooked

    2) Looping is the only real way survivors can actually "survive" a cheap tunneling bloodlust killer.

    3) And I don't see how the usual "survivors will abuse that" argument can make a point here. Do hooked survivors stop losing health while on-hook if the killer is near (and I think this should be a thing)?

    4) By camping, you are preventing a player to actually enjoy the game, until he dies, while also making him lose pips. While on-hook, players can do nothing

    5) Killers can still chase, move, break pallets, hit THROUGH pallets and windows

    6) even cheating can be considered a playstyle (and toxic, for those who are exposed to it), so cheaters shouldn't be punished?

    7) lobbies are full of tryharding NOED killers.

    8) About BBQ, it rewards you for playing the way you SHOULD. If we have to be rewarded to play how something is meant to be played and not to be punished for playing badly, then survivors might as well get a perk that gives them a 90% speed boost for every objective interaction, because that is what they should be doing

  • You know there's a reason for BBQ.
Coaxing killers to adapt to more fun play styles with the carrot (Bonus points from hooking unique survivors) works a lot better than the stick (Punishing camera within a radius of the hook)
One of those methods is fun and rewarding for the killer. The other one is a band-aid fix to stop entitled survivors from crying about being camped, which didn't work. Nothing will ever make the poor survivor community stop complaint about "camping and tunneling"
This band-aid punishment that they put on for killers in a radius of the hook is not a smart thing. Survivors have no penalty from being near the killer for prolonged periods of time during pallet looping. That would be about as fair as this.
  • The survivor is toxic for body blocking and alerting the killer of your location. Ok, that's fair.

The killer is toxic for playing to win. You're more toxic than the killer will ever be for acting like you're entitled to the hatch.
"The killer was body blocking the hatch... What a toxic community..."

    What?
