Take a break. My recent break was from Legion release to Legion rework. Moonwalking really burned me out, but now Im back playing dbd most of my free time.
That's exactly what i did for a while, but when i returned not much has happened since then; the only interesting thing they added since then is the end game and even then that should have been added a long while ago?

Yes new legion is bad. But worse than Freddy?
Remember, Freddy's power is literally negative utility. Or in otherwords a 115% Killer who has base stats and Literally no power is better than Freddy.
As bad as Legions power is, he still has SOMETHING. Freddy's power is just a mandatory head start for survivors in a chase. If they get away then they wake up, if they are downed then they wake up.
Not really? If done correctly, Freddys power can actually take control of the game, withholding survivors in an endless dream realm; which makes the game go by slower then usual.
Legion on the other hand, is just like you said; a killer that moves at 115% the speed; His power has no negative effect whatsoever towards survivors and the game; Yeah he may walk fast, but that still dosen't accumulate the fact that he can endlessly be looped, as he waits for a long ass time to get a power that does absolutely nothing!
It's like your being punished when you use his power! You miss an attack, the gauge goes to zero, you hit a survivor in frenzy, as long as the survivor is in your 32 METER TERROR RADIUS their absolutely safe, no need to mend; His vault speed is just, no, i can't even... and not only that, but your gauge is just, god awfully slow...
Freddys power can actually do damage to survivors under certain circumstances; while legions power dose not, for anything.
yes i understand it takes 7 second to pull a survivor in the dream realm, but Freddy isn't limited with his power; he can endlessly use it without being punished for it; which makes him a bit higher then legion.
also, not to mention that Freddy's getting a massive rework next month too, so theirs that.
Legions F- tier
-
Not sorta nerfed, more like completely destroyed with her ability...
-
I think out of all the killers that have been released; Legion has been hit the hardest; the Devs took something that was broken, and made him completely unplayable.
Why couldn't they simply just rework the exploit and maybe nerf frenzy; not completely gut him to the point where his power is just laughable?
I get it, he was suppose to spread damage; but what is the point of giving him a power that dosen't even punish survivors; hell it dosen't even slow them down too; you can literally get hit by deep wound; and as long as your in his terror radius, your safe, you don't even have to mend.
With all the nerfs stacked up against him; Looks like sweater boy is a few steps ahead of him now; placing legion in the lowest and weakest possible killer in game...
-
Sadly; if these changes do go through; i'll be moving on with my "Bill" main. Honestly the only good thing that's coming out of the PTB is the end game; but even then; other killers and perks have been nerf by it.
Actually; if you think about it, nothing good is really coming out of this PTB...

i'm a little "concerned" with this as well. I believe we have to test it out first to get a good view on his changes, but as far as i see it Legion is now a lot less annoying to deal with as a survivor. For playing Legion i agree he's gonna be different and probably just a downgraded M1 killer with a free initial hit with his power
I agree; he will be less annoying to go against for survivors;
It's just i wish they thought this thoroughly before they implement it?
They could have reworked him a tad bit better with his exploits and power; rather then gutting him, useless.
At last though; if it does go through; then where looking at another m1 killer that's worse then Freddy; which is a first in a long while.
-
Mostly excited for the end game changes; but not so much for legion. I understand people where exploiting him, but to nerf him to the ground was not the way to go? Now because of it; he might be even worse then Freddy after this PTB
I would have rather seen a rework of the exploit, rather then nerfing his power to the point where it's completely unusable; he's just another m1 killer after all this...
-
I don't know, Ghostface dosen't seem all that interesting; he just seems bland to me. I mean think about it; would you rather go against a killer that carry's a butter knife around and hides behind phone calls or a towering 7ft tall guy, wielding a massive machete, that has supernatural powers like brutal strength and teleportation.
I mean hell, even Micheal Myers seems more threatening then him, and that's saying a lot XD
Now if your talking licensed killers; i would definitely go for Sadako or maybe even pinhead; but ghostface? not really my cup of tea..
-
This looks more like a fan made thing, rather then a leak; I mean "Hex:They alwaysback" just sounds like a NOED 2.0
Plus, don't even get me started with that grammar...
-
Man; I'm starting to notice that no matter what the devs do; neither side finds it fun or good?

Tunneling may be cool on the killer end but think of how survivors feel about it.
If you get tunneled the only fun you'll have is running the killer. In most cases you just get killed and lose out on so many possible bloodpoints which survivors already gain less of.
Tunneling shouldn't be normalized and I'm glad they're encouraging killers to not tunnel by giving them a new fear
But their shouldn't be anything that makes killers fear something, ever.
I mean you might as well give every survivor a loaded gun, and have them kill the killer.
The main concept and purpose of this game, was to make survivors feel defenseless and the killers powerful, not the other way around.
Ever since release, killers have always got the crappy end of the stick, from 4 man swf, to gen rushing, etc, etc.
I mean even the devs at one point where mocking the way killers were back then.
Hell the title itself says "Dead by daylight" not "Escape by daylight"
But with all these add ons, perks and so on, it's become nothing more then a chase, tbag and escape sort of game...
-
@AntiJelly said:
You know you don't have to tunnel to win right? It's just a cheap cop-out. Sure it's "available" to do, therefor it's technically a strategy, but it's a bad one. You aren't applying pressure to anyone besides that one survivor when you tunnel. You need pressure on everyone. DS is a perfect perk now, because it punishes people that use tunneling as a ""strategy"".
Thats the problem; not all killers can apply pressure to everyone like nurse and billy; when your dealing with a 4 man claudette swf; all caring SC, SB, purple items and so on; its rather difficult to apply pressure even when your meaning to?
Your basically saying that killers should be punished for doing their objective?
-
I'm not frustrated with the game; its just theirs nothing else much to do once you've maxed everything out; unless they brought new game modes and objectives; its just the same old for the last 3 yearsDelfador said:Whenever somebody gets frustrated or bored, they come to the forum and say that the game is dying. I started to play this game about a year ago.
People are saying that the game is dying all the time.

If there was more stuff to do; it would be more enjoyable; but once you max everything out with levels and ranks; theirs not much going for ittwistedmonkey said:The monthly this game is dying thread arrives.
The game itself has actually been growing steadily, back at the hallowed blight event the recorded the most ever players logging in over 1 million, since the devs bought the rights from starbreeze it has had many changes on balance and while it's not perfect it's in the best state for a long time.
Posts like this tend to say what someone us personally feeling so the game for you is dying only, maybe you need a break or it's time to move on, not every one can enjoy a game for hundreds/thousands of hours sometimes you just get bored of them.

So the statements within this thread, you people are basically saying how it's not fair for the survivors because they're not getting in a game; but have you ever stopped and think about how it's unfair for the killer most of the time?
When killers dodge lobbies; it's not because there doing it for the pleasure, their mostly doing it because they don't want a game too last 4 or 5 mins, because all the survivors decided to bring in purple toolboxes and such; not only that, but your wanting killers to go through the entire match stressed out of their mind trying to find survivors, trying to stop objectives, etc, etc.
With you guys wanting to punish lobby dodging; your basically forcing them to play these unfair, unbalanced matches all the time, which would lead more into a downfall for killer mains. And don't give me this "Oh but i play both sides!" Really now, if that was the case We wouldn't have these sort of threads in the first place...
Everyone would rather play survivor or another game because it's not as stressful? and if it is, Tell me, what's the one thing stressful about playing survivor; holding down m1 until the objective is done or trying to dodge the killer and his attacks?
I can tell you, it's no where near as stressful as playing as a killer.
For starters, You have to deal with 4 survivors, all of which might be communicating to one another; as well as stopping the objective and guarding your totems; not only that but your time is very crucial,
if you don't plan things out, you could be genrushed too high noon; and the match will only last under 5 mins
even after all the exit gates are open; survivors will stick around for another 3 or 5 mins; mocking the killer as if they accomplished something huge
then once they leave, you have that last survivor that stays behind being all high and mighty; after making the killer feel like crap, he escapes through the hatch with a big middle finger; because you know; "Hatches are so totally fair and balanced.."But anyway, you get my point. My last thought on this is; just be glad people even still stick around this multiplayer mess of a game; for how long this game's been alive, and all the problems and issues it's been having over the years, i'm surprised it hasn't died off yet...

I usually don't ask stuff like this but since i'm still new I would like to know why. It's because he was the one who began the whole toxic thing between killer and survivor mains, his viewers started doing the same crap he did in games.
He would also exploit the game to the point where the killer couldn't combat any of the survivors, like trapping the killer in certain positions so they couldn't hit or down survivors.
He's also been perma ban multiple times, but has came back with different accounts.
-
I don't know about that? from my perspective on killer side in the high ranks, i've dealt with so many toxic mains that it boggles my mind on how many their are in this community.The_Crusader said:Toxic? Sweaty and tryhard I guess you could say, but toxic?
The low ranks are full of toxic people too. Hell I'd expect more of them at low rank becauss most stay low rank so they can bully new players, and they often disconmect when they're about to be hooked.
High rank gets boring though. Such little variation. It's all P3 claudettes with the meta perks at that point going for the biggest and dullest loops in the game.
90% of the survivors i come across or go up against always run the same 4 perks, DS, SB, SC and DH
Then you have the insta healers, the flashlight spammers, the body blockers, the tbaggers, the loopers, the gear boxers, the camouflagers *cluadette mains* gen rushers, etc, etc.
All while mocking you as they are always 2 or 3 steps ahead of you everytime.
And now with this event up; firecrackers are everywhere now; which are hard to avoid because you dont get any notification if its about to be used; at least with flashlights you can see it, but firecrackers just appear out of nowhere.
Honestly rank shouldnt even exist in this game; this game is not a competition..

I don't blame you; theirs no point on reaching high ranks; besides dealing with Toxic playersReneAensland said:I'm staying at 9 and 10 until after the event.

Just going over everything with this killer; he is the worst killer in game to date, hands down.
His speed is bad, his power resets everytime you hit a survivor even without using it, his power is useless because survivors can mend it away anytime; hell i mean with freddy you can have some sort of advantage with his power.
But legion; it dosent matter how skilled you are with him, his power is against him, rather then for him

Man what is up with all these bannable offenses trying too be implemented into the game?
First it was if you DC it should be a bannable offense, then it was if the killer or survivor dosen't do anything then it should be bannable; then people who brought in certain perks should be ban; people tbagging and clicking their flashlights should be ban, survivors screwing up the auto aim of killers should be ban, looping the killer should be ban and now where reaching too this? killing yourself on the hook should be banned now also?
because yeah you know, your so helpful too the team when you get hooked and its not like once you get off your just going to immediately get knocked down by the camping killer again; so yeah i see no reason sticking around if the majority of the match im in is just me struggling on the hook.Jesus, it's like you guys are trying to make it where everything you do in the game is somehow a bannable offense? and everyone should be punished just for playing the damn game; i mean why?
Are you guys trying to make it where people stop playing because they know if they did anything in game, it would lead to a their account getting banned. Also, Who honestly cares? its not like this game has hardcore rank matches and such; your not gaining or losing anything either way, rather then maybe a few bloodpoints and thats it.
but if that's somehow the reason why your wanting too ban this, then your literally getting upset over a virtual currency that has no value whats so ever, which is pretty pathetic in my opinion... -

However, if you tell them to check out this asymmetrical competetive "horror" hide and seek game they'd be pretty hesitant and won't be very willing to put their money into it. They need to advertise and market this game more often to drag as much people in to try it. I've also noticed the playerbase usually grew by a bit after each free weekend so that also might help.
But it's not bad to set goals you want to achieve no matter how big they are. If you have no goal then you'll lose motivation and anything you've been working towards will die out slowly.

Would you still continue? Knowing no matter how hard you try; you'll just be gen rushed to high heaven; leaving you to be mocked and humiliated by the survivors when those exit gates open.
I wont..
No you said the above and also a killer camping or tunnelling etc.
As I said all of those are all simply mechanics and part of the game, what I said is completely relevant to what you said, what's the difference between leaving if your getting gen rushed as you don't like it or leaving when you join a game with the nurse because you don't like playing v's her? Or anything else in the game? They are all exactly the same thing, its about dcing because it's not the game you want to play
Why would i want to continue playing? When i know from the start of a match, that my odds where pinned against me? When a match is going to last for only 4 mins; because the people decided to blast through gens; before you could even say rush? Why would you want to stick around and be mocked? -
Yes; although it is a 4v1 game, the killer should not feel powerless to play.Dreamnomad said:@Okuu46 said:

I wont..YES!! You continue the game! That is exactly what you do! If you don't have thick enough skin to handle the possibility of losing a match gracefully then perhaps this isn't the game for you. Besides, you might just surprise yourself and do better than you expect. Maybe, just maybe, if you challenge yourself then you might improve your skills and handle future situations that are more difficult better.
Honestly most of the time in high ranks it feels like the survivors are even more threatening then the killer itself.
Not only that, but the stress killers has to deal with in matches is unbelievable; theres so much stuff a killer must worry that its not even funny.
killers have to find survivors, they have to chase survivors, they have to try and deal damage and hook surviors, all while getting pallet smacked, flashlight stunned, DS, and so on; not to mention patrolling gens, totems, exit gates, hatch, etc, etc.
Survivors on the other dont have to deal with much; They only have two major things they have to deal with, gens and not being hooked, that's practically it and literally, they have 4 individuals, maybe three, doing all this at once
Im just one person, and not even a powerful person at that; it dosent matter how many times i kick a gen, it will always get tapped, it dosent matter how far i chase and down a survivor, a gen will always gets popped; and it certainly dosent matter if try to protect my totem, a gen and a totem gets popped.
You see the problem here? It dosent matter how hard you try; survivors will be two steps ahead of you every time; making it a losing streak most games.
So in the end, should the killer just stand there if theirs only two or three gens left and not do anything until survivors leave? Knowing that the survivors practically already won? -

You make it sound like it's easy to keep gens from popping as killer; especially with ruin? It doesn't matter how many times you kick a gen, or chase a survivor away from it; If your dealing with a 4 man SWF group, other survivors can easily tap it just once and stop the full regression system on that gen completely. You gotta remember gens dont regress fast when you kick them; Plus that's the thing survivors only have to do 2 gens, 2 GENS in order to get the hatch; it should be more then that, like 3 or 4; that way if the 2nd to last survivor purposely dies on the hook, just so his buddy can get scots free; that last survivor will feel pressurised to do more gens in order to get that reward instead of being handed it right of the bat.Rebel_Raven said:Catchem, or they out plabyyed you. You might have just got the 3 weaker links.
It's not free. 2 gens have to be done, they have to dodge you (how easy do you make that?), and they have to find it before you do.
#########, if you're so great just kill all of them before they do 2 gens.
Do some recon, find the hatch before it's an issue.
Slug the last 2. Why play to the rules of survivors? It's easier to counter than a totem hex.
Why are some killers, largely the ones that complain about the hatch, so damn sure of themselves that they will catch the last person that they ignore the hatch play potential, and keep letting it be an option to begin with?
Do you even have an idea where the last one is before you hook the third?
Hatch is fine, bluntly. Most survivors don't even know what it is. I catch a lot of them ignoring it for assorted reasons.
I've gotten caught many times trying to find it, and escaped many times.
As a killer I've gotten overzealous and let the hatch become an option, and some escape.
Just because you catch 3 doesn't make you entitled to the 4th.
I'm more tired of the people complaining about the hatch, really.
And thats another thing, survivors shouldn't be awarded when the majority of their teammates had screwed up in the match and the 3 of them have gotten hook; your just basically awarding that last survivor with something they didnt do or accomplish in the match; because they where probably wondering around looting boxes and stuff; and also; 2 gens, is not a big feat when they come armed with gears and toolboxes... -
And survivors aren't entitled for a free escape when all three of their teammates had screwed up and died on the hook?alivebydeadight said:@thesuicidefox said:

Guess we will find out in roughly 6-9 months. As of right now that's it that's all they've promised. I imagine sales/player count will determine if we get a second year of this rollout schedule.

Right? I mean i guess i could see how some should be destroyed, because of how powerful they become; like devour of hope and huntress lullaby, but even then, its not fair when survivors can see that perk all the time, even before its active; which makes it useless.Tsulan said:Yeah totems are really pointless. I´ll never understand why survivors are able to destroy a killers perk.
Ruin is only so popular, because it slows down the gen rush by 30 to 60 seconds.
Killers willing to sacrifice a perk slot, just to get barely a minute more to hunt survivors, explains pretty much the state of the game.NOED only hurts gen rushers, and even then, it´s often cleansed right after it spawned (because a totem next to an exit gate, makes so much sense)
And, dont even get me started on noed...
