I just realized it like months later. There was a PTB where it got its range increased to 16meters and I was hyped about that. I like perks like Bond, Kindred, Windows of Opportunity. And yesterday I just remembered that (since solo q is still awful I'm playing very rare) and I was equipping that perk and still reading "8meters"
Please don't tell me our good ol' beloved devs thought that was op. Please tell me they forgot or it wasn't good enough or they wanna rework it to do sth totally different. Just don't tell me they think that was too strong.
Thats creepy....I was literally thinking about this when I got up this morning.....🤯

Why don't you just come out and say you want BBQ nerfed? Every time someone offers a suggestion for counterplay, you have an excuse.
You would be surprised how often I run BBQ and not see anyone's auras after a hook. Apparently they figured out how to play around it.

I love being a Meghead. She's a cute athletic girl that never deserved to get sucked up by the entity. Her lore is amazing, cosmetics are amazing, and perks are amazing. People who say her visual design is awful don't know what they're talking about. Whenever I play killer and the last survivor is Meg, I'll always give her hatch because anyone that plays this queen deserves it. Easily my favorite survivor and second favorite character behind Spirit. I will forever support all other Megheads and carry around my Meghead legacy with pride!
Heck yeah! Meg mains sound off! :)

Sadly, this is probably true. One of the reasons I'm a STRONG advocate for splitting Solo and Team into different Ques is the 3-Person SWF is the worst. They often (well most of the time in fact) treat the Solo saddled with them as a "Red Shirt" in the classic Star Trek meaning of the term. You were a useful asset to them, nothing more. And yes, as you are not really "one of them" you are considered an acceptable sacrifice. It is just one more way in which SWF is problematic when not it its own Que.
Or they ######### in the end game chat because you weren't on comms with them and weren't able to read their minds. Thats always my favorite part....

Yeah, I think SB is just better overall and is much better. Too bad many players don't know how to play with it.
I've been saying the same thing forever. Unlike Dead Hard, Sprint Burst doesn't require you to be injured to use it

You have to wait until the yellow fog appears, meaning in a chase, you have to place it correctly. Too far, the survivor just runs in to it as well and not far enough, you are there before it activates and you have to wait. Even if its only a second, it's too much.
Good work. Keep on the pace and the game will be unplayable in some years.
I'm sensing some sarcasm in this post

Thats a good point. By his reasoning, Maybe Kate should have to perform a 30 second guitar solo every time she completes a generator because its OP for her to be able to go right to another gen after just completing one 🤔

So if you get unhooked and while you are healing the guy who got you the killer decides to come back right away, that's not tunneling in your book?
If you heal under the hook, you are pretty much telling the killer the location of two survivors for free. Just because the killer returns to the hook doesn't mean that he is going after the unhooked survivor. In fact, I go after the unhooker to ensure more survivors are injured. Now, if the unhooker sneaks away and the only person i can find is the one who was on the hook, so be it. Im not going to pass on gaining map pressure because someone didn't want to take the aggro.

wow killer bias much?
See I can accuse people of bias too because I disagree with them
When you said killers are the only ones who can bully, you showed your bias. I have seen both sides do a good job of bullying, killers AND survivors. So tell me again how I'm killer biased.
-
@kyogul said:
The fact that they allow one side to bully the other side at will, and the other party cannot do anything to defend themselves other than DCing and subsequently taking a DC penalty and de pip.
Killers are the only ones that can truly ruin another person's game, which is facecamping or intentionally tunnelling someone out the game in a way that does not make strategic sense, but in a way that is indicative of trying to bully someone and ruin their game.
Also making someone bleed out.
Complain all you want but teabagging and flashlight clicking don't hinder you from playing the game as killer. Survivors teabagging at exit gates is also within your control; hit them out. Nothing they do prohibits you from playing the game and yeeting them out if you so chose.
Survivors can't do anything when being bled out, or facecamped. And I don't like that many killer players play the game to bully others often at random and for no good reason.
Facecamping and making survivors bleed out should at the very least give negative bloodpoints and multiple de pips for poor sportsmanship, which is something that's reportable. And I honestly think facecamping should flat out be reportable since it's not a strategy and you're intentionally trying to ruin someone else's game in a way that makes no sense
Wow....survivor bias much?

I've been playing demo for awhile now and still find him to be competitive at Red Ranks. A good demo player understands when to shred and when to M1. Placing your portals at extreme ends of the map will allow you to traverse the map quickly.

My sentence was a literal quote from your post, where you specifically stated "I love playing against a nurse because it feels so good when you juke a good one, or bully a bad one."
Those are your exact words, what on earth do you mean "I doubt I mentioned bullying". It was LITERALLY in the post I quoted. So please don't try to retroactively claim that you didn't use the exact words you quite clearly did. You specifically stated that "it feels so good when you juke a good one or bully a bad one."
Kinda pointless to lie and make the claim that you didn't mention bullying when your words are written right there in black and white. Did you not read your own post???
You're the one who stated that you enjoy bullying a bad nurse. Own your words and the consequences thereof. I'm not the one who first mentioned bullying, I was just responding to your absolutely clear statement.
Honestly, how on earth can you say "I doubt I mentioned bullying" when it's in your words in the post you're quoting???
Edit to add the original post as an image, underlining the relevant phrase.
Yeah, I picked up on the bullying comment right away. As someone who really only plays nurse when I have a daily, I just "love" when survivors act like knobs and swarm around me and click their flashlights as I try to recall my muscle memory with her.

I once had someone accuse me of cheating because they didn't know how Poised worked, and it activated at the perfect time in a chase to completely lose them. But once I said they should read what the perk does they got it and we both had a laugh at it 😄. And also had someone mad about Lithe on Lery's... when they played the offering to go to that map. Lucky me I guess.
And also, Dark Devotion. Hilarious perk when it works but someone that got grabbed wasn't happy. And also someone that thought Dead Man's Switch was "lame" for some reason.
I enjoy playing around with Dark Devotion. Even more so when I add it to a Doctor build and I get meme value from it.

Mindbreaker. Apparently using a perk designed to counter a very specific collection of perks is toxic
You beat me to it. I started using it because I liked the idea of exhaustion not reducing while survivors were doing gens. Its a niche perk at best, but the attitude i got from survivors for using it was epic.
-
I've said many times that the devs should take a cue from the Silent Hill chapter and replace the struggle phase with progressively harder skill checks like with the Cages of Atonement on Pyramidhead. Then you aren't just mindlessly mashing a key and the pressure increases the longer you are struggling as the skill checks become harder. You would actually have to pay attention if you wanted to stay alive.

As a former nurse main, I would not even bother to learn her. Takes too long and there’s too many buggy objects to deal with. She’s annoying to play at this point. Just slap on spirit/hag and call it a day.
I hadn't played nurse since her "rework" but had a daily that I needed to get done. Oh boy. I kept wondering why my blinks weren't working and was like "oh yeah, only one recharged so far." I think I will just put her back on the shelf for a while....
-
I would be okay with that. We already have a huge amount of killers to choose from. Not only would it give BHVR a chance to fix QOL issues and bugs, but it would also allow people to rank up their killers and survivors without having a new set of perks to unlock.

How about two killers in a match on comms? "You patrol the north half of the map and I'll watch the south half." LOL Let the carnage commence...

Plague can puke on objects like gens, exit gates, chests, items on the ground, and windows. If plague couldn't puke on hooks to get you sick they would just puke on you before picking you up.
The survivors control her power. So there needs to be a reason for them to cleanse. Your choice is play with one health state or cleanse.
If you read iron wills description you will see it says injured sounds of pain. Puking is not a cry of pain.
"Puking is not a cry of pain." Apparently you haven't seen me the following day after a night of drinking....😆
-
I don't know how killers focus on one person for so long anyway. My ADHD always seems to kick in and I lose interest if the chase goes too long...😆

Okay, ill bite. What does "pay to win Freddy" mean?

@Pipefish said:
So I am playing survivor with some friends at night and it takes forever for us to find a match.
It couldn't be because Pop got nerfed to 40 seconds. It couldn't be the massive nerf of Undying. It couldn't be the removal of the Mori. It couldn't be survivors using keys and decisive strike/unbreakable.
In all seriousness this game lacks killer players. Rather than try to get new killer players in they instead scare old players away. I hope they will shift to some killer sided updates soon but this games history says otherwise.
Side Note: I agree that in the higher levels of play this game is clearly killer sided. I am referring more to the casual level killer who doesn't have time to grind the 1000's of hours necessary to "get good"
As you can tell from my screen name, I am in Chicago and notice a distinct change in the quality of players at night. Note I didn't say skill, but QUALITY. When I play killer at night, I see an increase of SWF players who act like total dbags in end game chat. I tend to have much better chats with survivors when I play killer in the afternoon.

What I hope for vs what I expect:
Hoping for:
Object nerf, Coldwind+Haddonfield update without breakable walls, Clown update (not including Billy-esque changes, especially to addons), Key nerf, Freddy nerf, Spirit nerf, Undying nerf, Trapper buff, Wraith buff, Myers changes, Iri head nerf, rework of iridescent family crest,
Expecting:
Clown update shockingly similar to Billy, Coldwind update including tons of breakable walls and see-through walls like in authaven, nerf to zanshin tactics, blood favor, dragons grip, trail of torment, Hoarder, slippery meat, tombstone piece, keys now take 2 seconds to open the hatch, no other changes. Overall rarity of items in chests buffed,
Spirit was already nerfed once. They fundamentally changed prayer beads and took away collision when she is phasing. I don't see her getting more treatment when there are some killers requiring more important changes.
-
@Squirrel_Thicc said:
Damaging generators is so ineffective now, the only reason you should ever do it is if you have pgtw.
The struggle on hook mechanic.
Wraith and trapper.
The bloodweb system for both sides as a whole.
The whole struggle mechanic is a big one for me. I think the Silent Hill chapter showed us the way when they added skill checks to the cages of atonement. Then you actively have to focus on struggling instead of just mindlessly tapping the space bar.
-
My dream chapter would be a break from adding new killers/survivors and just focus on bug fixes and general quality of life improvements. I'm pretty sure that would make for an epic new chapter.

For the record, Tinkerer, Ruin, and Undying all punish survivor for doing the objective.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1834864#Comment_1834864
A locker can be a legitimate hiding place. Losing a perk for trying to hide in a horror game sounds counter-intuitive. Losing a perk for working on a gen seems like you are punished for actually playing the game. It would cause survivor to not work on the objective to save their perk. It's like a killer having a perk that he would lose for actually trying to kill. Very bad.
I think you misunderstood me. I meant that DS goes inactive after you've been rescued from a hook and hide in a locker. Thats BS. If it is truly to prevent you from getting tunneled by the killer, you shouldn't be able to hide in a locker immediately afterwards without any consequences. Thats how people abuse the perk.
-
@snozer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1117029#Comment_1117029
DS does need to be in the game, but they need to actually make it an anti tunnel perk. It should deactivate if the killer plays "correctly" and hooks someone else.
I agree. I think DS is a fine perk, it just needs to deactivate when a survivor goes in a locker or touches a gen. That would cut down on the abuse and not give them invulnerability for 60 seconds.

Yep, I liked playing with old Freddy. The best thing was some block addons that made survivors sleep in 4 SECONDS instead of 7!! It was funny because most of the times I managed to grab survivors off totems and generators xD
That was the part I hated about playing old Freddy. You would put them to sleep and the survivors knew they had 7 seconds before you could interact with them. They would sit on the gens and get 7 seconds of free repair time, finishing the gen in your face sometimes.
-
Spine Chill has the potential to make you lazy when it comes to watching around you when working on gens. Ive caught myself a couple of times focused on the gen and waiting for Spine Chill to light up, only to remember I didn't include it in my build....lol
