Pig cant keep crown
Nope. Licensed characters cant have custom cosmetics from this event. Devs came out and confirmed that.

I find it interesting that, slowly, killer is becoming my path to complete and utter tranquility. Enlightenment if you will. I have run into so many toxic survivors now that I am becoming numb to all. The comments to off myself, accusing me of things I didn't do, and even throwing my good will back in my face. Yup, been there, done that .. moving on ... Nothing but love for you survivors ... On the survivor side of things (I play both) when I'm tunneled to death or face camped ... all I think is "I get it dude, i get it, let out your hate .. be cleansed... I hope you find peace..." ... I think killer is almost therapeutic for me at this point. Thank you DBD.
Haha...so true!! I used to get so worked up about pipping and survivors with bad manners. Once I reached rank 1 (which was nothing special) and learned to not care how the match goes, I've enjoyed DBD so much more than ever. So I guess I've reached enlightenment as well...lol

How about you stop crying and just quit the game without telling everyone that they should quit too ?
No one actually cares about you quitting or sweating against a SWF party.
When Im playing survivor I only do it with 3 of my friends all the time and we all have a great time stomping baby killers; I actually feed on their salty tears at the end of the match when they cry about swf and it makes my day better.
Also Surviving with friends is a decent response to alot of the many annoying killer mechanics that exist in this game and alot of killers abuse them such as: Ebony Mori, Face camping, Tunneling, playing Doctor, playing Freddy, Noed and so many more.
Haha..."playing doctor and freddy" are annoying killer mechanics that killers exploit. Get out of here. Just because people choose killers you dont like doesnt mean it's being exploited. By that same argument, i could say that survivors who all pick the same meta build every match are boring and annoying. Both arguments are dumb.

Of course Perks like that should not exist in the first place. I also dont know why they never reworked Perks like Knockout or Blindness. Because those are pretty weak things, which cannot really be buffed because SWF would not care for it and it would only screw over Solos.
But I am also quite sure that BHVR does not really intend to close the Gap between Solo and SWF. Otherwise they would think about something like Indicators in the UI. They even said that they are not planning to make Kindred Basekit, since they recently buffed it, but this would be a huge step in closing the Gap.
However, I dont consider SWF as a problem. Because most SWFs are not good at the game.
I would agree with your last statement 100%. There is a very obvious difference between red rank survivors who mostly play with SWF and red rank survivors who typically play solo.

Seems like a bug, I got it done in 2 matches (found additional toolboxes in chests) and every box counted as it should
I kind of figured it was bugged, but twice in a row made me wonder if I was just doing it wrong. Thanks for the info!

I sometimes get a flurry of around 3 greats in a row.
But usually if I try and get greats...I fail ๐
Haha...that is so true!! I had a match where I think I hit 5 greats back-to-back. Went to the next gen and swung for the fences, only to miss my skill check!

this has been a common complaint since Rift #1
like, oh man, cleanse 20 totems oh man what a fun and interactive challenge!
I've been working my way thru that one currently and it absolutely sucks. Either I go around searching for totems and rely on my teammates to rescue and do gens, or I play the game properly and get 1 or 2 totems a match. Will be so glad when that challenge is done!
Not to mention, the rewards in the free rift are pretty much scarce and crappy. Aside from the extra BPs, there's not much incentive for me to do the archive challenges anyway.

Survivor goes down
Killer slams trap on survivors head
5 gens pop all at the same exact time
Survivor- "How is that even POSSIBLE for 3 ppl to finish 5 gens in sync?"
Killer prepares tent
LOL...damn those 5-gen syncs!

It's been a while since I've played and decided to go for a few matches with The Pig. Averaging about 3 kills a match and at the end of every single match I've got nothing but hatemail saying The Pig is a trash killer and I need to git gud. Did I miss something since I haven't played in a while?
I like playing as pig, but going against her is always frustrating. Not because of the killer, but it always seems like the gens get completed right after I get a trap on my head...lol.

It wasn't the worst game, at least. Could have been a 3k if I were a bit faster, missed the last one by a hair at the end.
They were clearly better players than I, though. The only reason I got anyone was extreme altruism.
That was my point. I expect to lose to better players. They have more time in the game and have had time to polish their gameplay. If I can kill one or two of them, I feel like I have made a pretty good effort. It's the same thing when I go against a SWF and only kill one person, but that person also happens to be a rank 1 or 2 player. It just feels better.

At least one of the nice things about playing on console is that you don't have to be subjected to end game chat. I also have it set up to where I only receive messages from friends so randoms that I play with can't send me salty messages. This is why I hope one day this game gets bots. Hell if the devs behind the mobile game can incorporate bots, then I don't see why the same can't be done for the main game. If the developers behind the Friday the 13th game were able to do it, then hopefully the same can be done for dead by daylight.
Oh, I can close the chat on PC, but then I would lose the awesome conversations I have had with some really cool people in the community. It's always fun to run into people in the game who live in the same area and are actually cordial and funny.

Was a 4-man SWF, all of them were Claudettes. What a nightmare.
And this isn't even that bad an example. You'll just get full groups of rank 1's sometimes!
But yeah, the matchmaking just throws killers to the wolves.
At least you got 2 of them. I always take those as successes!

I've been playing this game for a couple of months now and I've managed to work my way to level 13 killer (not bad considering I only have a few hours a day to play this game๐). But it's gotten to the point to where I keep facing red rank swf and...it's not fun anymore. Nothing worse than approaching the exit door and seeing all four survivors lined up in a row teabagging you as they walk out (true story!).
Recently I leveled up Freddy to the point to where I really want to play him, but all I keep getting matched up against are red ranks. It's nice to think if this game considers me to be that good, but I know I'm not! LOL
Is anyone else a little too apprehensive to play killer? I find playing as a lone survivor far less nerve-wracking, because I'd rather be paired up with a red rank instead of going up against them.
I have a bigger fear of playing solo survivor and being paired up with dbag teammates...lol. Every so often, I find myself having to listen to my teammates ######### in end game chat about how much they hate solo queues and how I didnt do anything (despite three iridescent emblems). Sorry I'm not in your SWF and dont get constant info on where the killer is going and who is coming to rescue you....
Killer is almost less stressful in that way. I expect to be matched against salty survivors. Getting teamed up with them is something else....

Usefull?! hehehe
Urban: fixated is 20% faster and gives you scratchmark sight so that you can outplay the killer with it and it's actually amazing mixed with BL and SB
Self Care: You heal SLOW, REALLY SLOW, Bond can cover for that and it even gives you help without being injured for you to make a flashlight save, fix faster by being with others, gets you more BP, etc. Don't even get me started with Inner Strenght, 8 secs heal whyle hidden, totem cleansing, more BP, etc.
And again, Self Care and DS are practically useless if you're a good looper or a good stealth player, no hits, no hooks, no healing needed.
Lol...DS isnt for me because I cant loop. It's for my crap teammates who decide to unhook me right in front of the killer and I have no where to go to loop.

Dunno if it's a unpopular opinion, probably is, but I absolutely hate the inclusion of charms. If it were up to me I'd completely get rid of them. Or maybe keep them, but make it more sensible/subtle. Like a "Hi, my name is:" tag on the chest for Dwight, instead of some dumb atmosphere ruining funko pop on my survivors belt or a killers hook.
Yeah, I could do without the charms. They just sit in my inventory because I dont really use them and always feel like a "meh" reward in the rift.

Anyone else have this problem. For me this is every single match! I took a little break from the game and this is what I return to. This literally promotes deranking back to yellow ranks.
With the current state of matchmaking, even deranking to yellow ranks will still put you up against the same survivors....

-It's the nature of the internet (unfortunately).

-This sort of behaviour is promoted in various YouTube videos by individuals who call themselves 'Pro-Gamers'.

Maybe the thing you should be saying is. *Wow... This game really is unfriendly to new players, if killers who pick it up this way feel like this maybe I should try being a bit better of a person and focus on making it more enjoyable for everyone involved" Nice empathatic responce tho
It's a game! My God. If that's how someone feels after having a bad game (or even a series of them), how do they deal with real problems in life? Cant get a significant other? I guess I'm garbage. Not in a fulfilling job? I'm trash. My point is, who cares if you arent good at a game? It doesnt matter. When I get salty messages from other players saying "gg ez" or "baby killer" I laugh and think "wow, you are better than me at a game. Have fun in your parent's basement."

I had a hacker earlier today who I was chasing and then poof all the sudden he disappeared right in front of me. I was planning on at least reporting him, but thanks to the rank error bug, the game went right back to the starting screen at the end of the match.....so frustrating.

Might just be me, but if a killer has a Mori I make way less mistakes. I play a lot more carefully and put a lot more focus into the game. Yesterday a Legion brought a Mori. I ran like I never ran before, got gens done fast, and got out of there.
Same for me. I am WAY more focused on a match when I see a hidden killer offering.

I am curious, i want to understand the real motivation for which you use MORI in game. Do you use it only VS SWF ? Do you use it because you have not so many hours in game ? Do you use it because... you hate SWF and the huge amount of information they exchange trough Discord, TeamSpeak, ecc.. ? Do you use it only when someone has a Key ?
Write your motivation, and let's have some laugh ! ๐
Only for the dailies where I have to kill a survivor by my own hand. I've heard that people also bring in a mori when they see a key, but I prefer to use Franklin's and wear away at the key's charges (if they can even remember where they dropped the key that is)

To be honest I only do that if the killer deserves it ๐๐.
I was getting stomped that match, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it wasn't deserved. Even still, it's funny that the dbag players are always the ones to run their mouth.
-
I'd have to say the Ghostface one because it's so specific. "While leaning, mark 3 survivors and down them." Or I can just trash that daily and hope for a better one in its place! Lol
-
I just had one the other day where only one person kept running their mouth in endgame chat, saying that I was tunneling him. Wouldn't you know that the only person talking trash was the one tbagging at every pallet like a baggage. Some people are just trash and cant help themselves.

I hate this as well LMAO... It's almost as bad as realizing you have to go to the bathroom the second that the trial starts.

Haha! I can totally relate. I'll just complete a skill check and figure it's safe for a quick scratch. Wouldn't you know another skill check pops up the second I take my hand away from the keyboard....lol.

Of course people are going to recommend Umbra. I've seen some next-level shots from her that I didnt even think were possible. She played Huntress exclusively for a couple of years so she is a pretty good authority.
-
Legion is a very hit-or-miss killer. On games where survivors cant stop grouping up and working on gens, he dominates. When survivors split up and work individual gens, it can be tough to get enough pressure going with him. I've heard him referred to as the worst killer in the game (I'm looking your way Clown...), but his success mostly depends on the survivors you play against.
-
@Mozmatt said:
so I bought this game to play as my favourite thriller movie characters like leatherface and micheal myers, but I always get put against survivors in ranks far ahead of mine that always use the same perks and bully the ######### out of you, and there is nothing you can do to win because of how unbalanced the game is atm, ill just get put against people with flashlights and keys and they will relentlessly bully you by bming, not to mention the fact that this game is a buggier mess than release day fallout 76, if I somehow manage to hook a survivor I get rewarded by being stuck in place the entire game, same applies with being stunned while carrying a survivor, once the survivors know that you cant move you will be bmed, tbagged, nodded at and then told to ######### in the end chat while their friends tell you how ######### you are at the game. fun :)
If you are brand new, best piece of advice I could give you is disable endgame chat. You can thank me later.

I would really like Candyman, just because I want to see how the Devs will implement a power based on bees. I donโt know anything about that killer otherwise.
I hope they will continue with both licensed and original content, I think they really had good and diversive ideas with the powers on both sides without it feeling restricted.
Bees didnt work out so well for Nicolas Cage tho.....

I miss it too. I used to love when the 13th came around and everyone got reduced back to the same general groups of ranks. The good players moved up quickly and the not-so-good ones stayed where they were at. Now, once you make it to red ranks, you are automatically reset to rank 5 and doesnt require that much effort to get back to red ranks again.
