So why do some players feel the need to do this?

We were playing against a rank 1 Ghostface, who put on Meat Plant, using NOED, Brutal Strength, POP and BBQ. Who was also camping and tunnelling.

Why would anyone even play like this?

  • Why does anyone use powerful builds in video games? Why does anyone play in an annoying way in video games?

  • Different people, different playstyles. Obviously that person wasn't confident in his skill, so he used perks that helped him out and played in a way to capitalise on survivors' altruism. It's boring for the survivors, but maybe he had a blast - who knows

  • Same reason blendettes like to hang out in bushes and urban evade around the map. Or dwights like to dance conga lines in the basement.

Or survivors group up with old balanced landing and burn haddonfield.

    Everyone enjoys different things.

  • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Sounds like a pretty average game though? I see nothing extraordinary here..

A lot of people don’t actually use powerful builds, I’ve started to recently take notes of perks and etc in all my games. But I’ve been running into a lot of Rank 1s, playing killers with insta down abilities, who will camp and tunnel and also have NOED on.

personally that seems like a really boring play style from both sides.

As killer it might feel good to dominate the survivors and make them feel helpless. Not everyone feels the same way.

  • Why do we even exist...

What I find WAY more fascinating is this idea that the killer always has to justify their build or playstyle to their opponent.

People laugh at the notion that it's the Killer's job to entertain the Survivors, but legit strategies are considered "toxic," and as soon as the killer uses a good build, it's a rush to call the police on them for ruining the game.

Survivors have to do this too. I can't tell you how many posts I've seen of images of "toxic" survivor groups even though they weren't running any op items or add-ons. Boggles the mind.

only because a strategy exists in a game, doesn’t make it any less scummy to play - that goes both ways.

playing a killer that can expose survivors - whilst camping and tunnelling is ######### to do because there’s little to do to fight back against it

The build is inconsequential. Perks are perks.

The map offering sucks...no one likes that map.

The camping and tunneling from second one is indicative of someone who gives zero ######### about other people and enjoys the role of killer in this way because they feel better about themselves when they make other people feel bad. In short, they are #########. Dismiss them for the ######### they are and enjoy the people who continue to make this game fun for everyone.

I like that map fine by me

Just like second chance perks and gen rush are considered "toxic". Both sides cry when the other side uses a powerful build or playstyle
