This. Why do gens if you and your teammates are gonna die anyways? It would be best to hide and wait for hatch. After reading through these comments I'm glad these people don't work on the game, lol. It would be dead.
Seriously, the fact that most of these people admit to be killer mains asking for an easier game lolxd

Think it depends hugely on the match-up.
If it's a high MMR killer against a normal MMR survivor group - they should get 3-4K, so about 75% for killrate. Especially since killer is meant to be the power-role.
If it's a high MMR killer against high MMR survivors, then it should be a flat 2k. Killer is the power role, but survivors shouldn't lose on the basis that one is 'the power role'. The survivors have also worked their way up to high MMR.

No.
You should never feel bad for playing a certain killer, its more about how you play them lol.

This was initially 15 points for both killer and survivor, but I'll make that it's own thread as this was already getting wall-of-texty.
If you have anything to add, feel free.
- We know that not every game is against an SWF. And that not every SWF is a sweaty team. But every game has the potential to be one, and so we either need to come prepared or just instalose. And that's not fun either. Remember, we can't choose not to face SWF and can't easily identify them in the lobby - but you do.
- Ditto, chances are that if we're playing mean from the start, it's because we've had a game recently where we didn't play mean and got stomped for our trouble.
- You don't need to give us mercy kills, but if you don't have anything nice to say, just get out and get to your next game. Gloating and being BM...even if we never see you again, chances are that the next team we play against is going to suffer.
- Sometimes we aren't trying to tunnel. We just keep running into you. It's not personal.
- We may not be camping, but if you try to unhook right in front of us or literally try to unhook mid chase - chances are we're going to take the shot.
- We don't run deep regression because it's fun. We run it because sometimes it's the only way we even really get to play the match out.
- Similarly, info perks get redundant fast and we don't have much in the way of universally good perks that aren't regression based. If we did, you'd see more of them.
- Some perks are annoying for you to play against. Some perks are annoying for us to play against (or worse, some maps). It's just the nature of the game.
- Before you blame getting killed on our perks/killer/strat, ask yourself - 'is there anything I could have done differently in that game that might have helped?'. Play in a group (there are always groups popping off on the DbD Discord, 24/7, at all skill levels). Run at least some info perks if you're solo. Don't go for crazy unhooks. Don't try fancy stuff if you aren't sure it'll work. Don't trail after us like puppies when we're carrying someone.
- If you act cocky or BM, you don't get to complain if you get tunneled out. If you demand our attention, don't be surprised when you get it.
- Just because the exit gates are powered doesn't mean you've won. A killer is no more under an obligation to let you leave than they are to let you unhook. Being salty about this in postgame is a bad look.
- Yes, we all know the trick to avoid AFK crows by now. Stealthing around the map and drawing things out because you 3genned yourselves is no less obnoxious than us walling you into the poop room on Gideon - and honestly, should be no less bannable. Don't do it. And if you do - remember, karma is seldom fun.
- Understand that a lot of killers have a chip on their shoulders about the way this game has been balanced in the past. Certain perks that shall not be mentioned were at something like 80% usage at higher MMRs, and were like that for years. Combine this with how BM some survivor teams can be, and yeah - there's a reason why some killers go in treating every game as a grudge match. It's not necessarily your fault, but you can't really blame them either.
- If your lobby is stacked with items, expect Franklins and maybe don't risk bringing your best item. Because that's the best answer we have.
- Some of us will try to ease up if we're stomping, and at least allow you to safety pip - it gives us more BP too. Similarly, if you've gotten 4 gens done and the killer has 1 hook, maybe consider extending them the same courtesy? It's more BP/emblem points for everyone.
- You are playing a team-coordinated game. Survivors trying to play together to WIN should be an expectation. If you don't find it fun to face people playing as a team and trying hard to win, then perhaps killer is not for you.
- Don't take out your past games on a set of new survivors, same goes for the other side. If you cannot separate the game from reality/emotions then maybe you should take a break from playing tbh.
- As above, people are always going to be #########. Learn to not take it personal and separate a game from reality. People SHOULDNT BM but people will do what they want.
- Just because you keep running into the same survivor, doesn't mean you have to chase that survivor. Lol. It's not like the next survivor is gonna be 100 miles away.
- ? Okay..
I can't be bothered to answer the rest, because it always feels like rinse and repeat of just excuses. If you're gonna play #########, or be a jerk to the next set of survivors just because you had a bad day or a bad game, just own it instead of trying to excuse it. Emotional control and self-reflection is a good skill to have, not just for gaming.

Then they should just not let you see the team you are going against, it's the same net effect. If they are going to let killers see the survivors before the match then it should be meaningful information.
You can still see what people bring? Even if it's last second, you can still play around that.

@Firellius said:
Ostensibly, it's OTR: Both are very clearly marked as anti-tunnel perks since they offer protections to a survivor that has been unhooked as long as they don't get/take the opportunity to help their teammates. OTR is basically couched in the same language that DS was, that marked DS as an anti-tunnel perk, so it's reasonable to assume that OTR replaced DS.
And while I think that was the intent, I also think that the result was something else entirely.
First off, one thing I've noticed is that, despite the gen times going up from 80 to 90, a lot of killers still complain that gens are going too fast. I'd say almost more so than before 6.1. I initially wrote it off as shifting standards, but then I saw a response to someone complaining about the gen-regression meta, where someone said something along the lines of
"Suck it up, we've dealt with a DH, DS, UB, BT meta for years"
So I made a half-joking response of 'how nice, survivors coming in with only DH, as long as you don't play like a jerk'.
But that got me thinking about what happened with DS going out and BT becoming partially basekit. UB is basically collateral, since its primary value was in weakening the killer's counterplay to DS, which was to just slug and not pick up. But with those three meta perks out of the picture, that opened up three new slots for survivors to pick perks in.
And I don't think OTR is one of them.
I think it's Prove Thyself and Hyperfocus that took their places.
Which is why the gens feel like they've been going faster. Without anti-tunnel and anti-camp clogging up the survivors' loadouts, they've got space for new perks. And you might think that that would make for more variable gameplay, but then we run into another problem:
Tunnelling and camping still need to be countered, as they're extremely efficient strategies.
So what counter do people gravitate to, now that perk bandaids are a non-viable solution?
'Just do gens'.
Unfortunately, unlike with tunnelling, where a killer can decide to adopt this strategy halfway through the game in order to improve their chances of winning, survivors don't really have that choice. They can't wait for the killer to start tunnelling someone off their first or second hook and -then- decide 'well, time to grab my genrush perks'. Which leads to teams picking and using genrush tactics against killers that don't tunnel.
And unlike DS, those genrush tactics -do- work really well against killers that don't tunnel.
So to summarise, I think that the replacement for DS was intended to be OTR, but it worked out to being 'genrush'. Is that a crazy interpretation?
Gen rush is not happening because anti-tunneling perks were nerfed and resulted in less chases.
Gen rush is happening because they nerfed how quick a generator can be completed - resulting in people specifically bringing in gen rushing builds and focusing on doing generators more. This is further perpetrated by the fact that Killers have generally gotten more aggressive with tunnelling/camping which gives lee-way to those that are doing generators to keep doing so.
Especially now that the meta is to identify the three-gen and camp it with killers like Knight.

Per-killer MMR precludes the option to switch killers. You could queue with a low-MMR killer then swap to Nurse.
Killers are supposed to have the advantage that they can see the survivors and their items, however. The problem is that last-second swaps can deny this advantage.
TBH the fix is pretty simple: survivors have to lock their loadout in 45 seconds. Once their loadout is locked, the killer can still change theirs for another 30 seconds. This increases the lobby timer from 1:00 to 1:15 but prevents survivors from denying the killer their knowledge advantage.
this thread is so mind-boggling.
Last second swaps are fine.

Because addons don't change loop potential, and having to use perks to address your fundamental inability to partake still leaves you behind EVERYONE ELSE. And most anti-loop perks are weak at best, can be ignored, or outright get disabled.
As hilarious as it can be to stack up on ways to just walk through pallets, that's not good gameplay or balanced compared to "I can do something at a loop AND bring other perks"
But they do, they impact how easy or hard sometimes looping can be by how the addons change the powers of the killer. Perks are literally there as an addition to what you don't have - they are meant to be used to help tailor to a certain playstyle or to cover for weaknesses.

M1 killers are part of the game. They shouldn't be so weak against a good survivor that chases take half the game or more. Instead of fixing maps and strong loops as a whole, BHVR decided to just add killers that do well against loops.
It's either we have anti-looping killers, or BHVR just gets rid of safe pallets and loops.
Why is it such an ultimatum? There are literally perks and addons that aid in that. Perks and Addons are the balance and medium between the two worlds.
I never said M1 killers shouldn't exist, but if you actively choose to play a killer like that, and not equip something that will help you in chase - knowing fully well that it is your weakness.. That is literally entirely on you, as the player.
-
@ByeByeQ said:
Not all anti-loop is boring.
Killers like Wesker, Oni and Blight have exciting anti-loop to play against.
Killers like Clown and Knight have boring anti-loop.
This makes sense. Wesker, Oni and Blight aren't complete anti-loop, you can still loop them but you have to play around and respect their powers to engage in a chase.
Trickster, Clown, Knight or Artist are very boring because they are Press W killers. You can't engage with their powers or really play around it, you just have to run away/dodge. Realistically, all these killers have the exact same power in different fonts.
-
@Krazzik said:
And playing a basic m1 killer against a good looper isn't fun.
Not to be an ass, but that is quite literally a self-inflicted issue.
You actively choose to play an M1 killer, with no perks or addons to assist in looping - which is a legitimate mechanic of the game.

Except for the fact that if they do take the survivor out of the locker as you acknowledge there is a chance the survivor may wiggle out and have a chance to escape. Whereas if they wait until the survivor comes out it is a guarenteed kill, or if the survivor stays in the locker until the match timer ends the match they die that way as well. So the best move the killer can make is to wait for a guaranteed kill.
Its nothing but survivor entitlement and stubborness holding the game hostage because nothing is stopping the survivor from trying to escape.
You are being a deliberate troll at this point lmfao

Im not being obnoxious, I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy.
If the survivor is progressing their objective by staying in the locker giving them a slim chance at escape, then the killer is progressing their objective by preventing that slim chance from happening. Even if there was no achievement this would still be the correct play in terms of the killer guaranteeing a kill.
You cant have it both ways either both are at fault for not progressing the game or neither are at fault for not progressing the game
No because the Survivor's last chance at survival is to jump in the locker - or stun the Myers out of the mori by vaulting/doing a gen and etc - locker generally being the best because it has no time constraints.
In this situation, the survivor is already in the locker so the best chance they have is to stay in the locker, hope the killer takes them out and that maybe the killer won't be able to hook them in time. The killer still has several options in this scenario to kill the survivor - they DONT need the survivor to exit the locker to kill them.
It's not hypocrisy, it's entitlement to an achievement and stubbornness holding the game hostage - because nothing is stopping the killer from killing the survivor.

So the killer could be throwing away a guarenteed kill by grabbing out of the locker.
But they can more than likely get the survivor out and on a hook.
It takes 16 seconds to wiggle off - which is more than enough time with hook proximity.
The survivor's ONLY option of surviving is by staying in the locker or engaging in actions that would block out the instant mori. The killer can STILL kill whether its by bleeding the survivor out, hooking them or mori-ing them but the killer is refusing to do any option which is holding the game hostage.
Don't be obnoxious, no one is entitled to an achievement and just play the game.

The survivor is also refusing to do their objective though, they aren't gonna escape by sitting in a locker.
They would be throwing their objective if they allowed the killer to just mori them.
Their objective is to survive and escape - by going into the locker they are trying to survive because they could still potentially wiggle off or jump off the hook Lol.

Uh, because if Mikey is standing outside the locker you're in with infinite t3 and tombstone, the survivor is already dead. Unless the map spot they're in is really favourable to wriggling free, there is absolutely nothing to be gained by squatting in the locker indefinitely. It's bad sport because there is a chance that the Killer is going for the achievement for shanking four people in a single game--something that can't be done if they're forced to hook the last survivor.
Anyway, to answer the actual question: neither is holding the game hostage, but they're both being kind of stupid. OTOH, the Killer does have two iri addons in play whenever this happens and there's an achievement for it, so they at least have an incentive to do it (after all, you can't make infinite attempts because it hinges on those addons). Survivors that do it when there's no hope of escape (like in the shack when basement spawns there) are just being weird.
It doesn't make them a bad sport if the killer is refusing to kill them via a hook. The killer is refusing to do their objective just because they want an achievement (and it's an achievement for a reason).
-
@HugTheHag said:
It's bad sports on the part of the survivor to deny the achievement, but the game rules are not about being good sports. If they were, plenty of BM iterations would be bannable.
Killer could absolutely end the game, but chooses not to.
So my guess would be it's on killer.
Why is it bad-sport to not want to lose the game?
Think its poor sportsmanship to expect someone to throw their game and lose their MMR for someone else and their achievement.

Here's an idea. Learn how to actually play the game, and not get in lockers right infront of the Killer - and surprising I even have to say this - Don't do generators right infront of the Killer. Do you know how dumb you sound right now?
They don't sound dumb. You're just being entitled about an add-on/achievement.
You are not entitled to an instant mori of any survivor regardless of hook-state. The add-on has clear counterplay which ALLOWS the survivor to participate in the match longer and gives them the chance to still escape from the game.
-
@Sycamore said:
Honestly I see the locker thing as an exploit, and should be reportable. Like they know what they are doing, you know what they are doing, and that isn't how the add-on is intended. They need to add a mori animation for Shape pulling a survivor from a locker. It could be a horrifying animation of Shape just stabbing them through the locker door.
No. Then the add-on would have no direct counter to it - which would be super unhealthy for the game.
Your complaints should be directed at BHVR for making a really bad challenge for Myers, rather than complaining that survivors counter-play a scummy add-on that eliminates them from the game immediately.

The breakable wall on shack was suppose to be in the middle between window and shack pallet in the PTB. Its suppose to make the god pallet, not a god pallet but due to survivor entitlement, The breakable was moved to the doorway because survivor complained that pallet became too weak for survivor. Now the breakable wall makes the window useless on both left side and right side if killer breaks the breakable wall. They weakened the window instead of weakening the problematic pallet.
Funny enough, Killer thought that these breakable walls were going to be put to balance unfair pallets but instead they just added them to create god window loops which forces killer to break the wall or face a bloodlust 3 infinity window loop.
What are you talking about? Breakable walls were their way of controlling infinites without fully reworking areas of the map.

You have hit on the one gap the current system has there, that being the gap it has for acknowledging teamwork. Luckily, if I recall correctly, the developers have mentioned they're looking into that.
All this system really needs is a softening of your loss if you die but your teammates escape. Sure, you'll lose games because of bad teammates still, but... of course you would, you'd lose in any other team-based game where your teammates aren't pulling their weight. The asymmetrical nature does mean you still need to be able to 'win' for the matchmaker if your team aren't good, but the fact that you can still lose isn't an issue.
Well, the issue is that the MM is one-dimensional. Aside from not considering that teamwork is required, it considers no other actions other than escaping. You can engage in a chase, you can do all the gens, you can do all the altruism possible but if you've not escaped, it won't matter.
All these games, to some extent whether lesser or bigger, do consider these things. If you are the top-performer of a lost game, you will lose less MMR than someone who was at the bottom of the scoreboard. But DBD considers absolutely nothing of this - when it would benefit the most out of a system that does.

I don't think that's necessarily true, since the important part still functions- that being, the killer winning means that specific survivor lost, so it's still a win/loss game where it still functions as an indication of skill. If you escape more often than you're sacrificed, you're either doing something right or there's something unbalanced going on, and the same goes in reverse and for killer.
The other games being symmetrical means they're easier to balance, but I don't think it matters too much for this particular aspect.
It is true. The MM and the game is designed around being played as a team, but only accounts for your action - that action being a kill/escape.
This is alright for the killer because the killer can just tunnel vision two people out of the game pretty easily - and have a net neutral round. But a survivor's MM and skill is assessed purely on their actions - whereas to escape, you NEED your team to pull their weight. Since it's an asymm game - it's already heavily tilted against you.
-
DBD is an asymmetrical game, whereas all the other games are symmetrical. Most of the games MM is based on being symmetrical.. But so is DBD's... Thats why its flawed.
-
@jesterkind said:
I started playing Apex Legends in the past week or so and that game seems to have a dramatically worse matchmaking system than DBD, just to pick a single example.
Also, do those other games use an algorithm? All the games I looked into the first time BHVR officially explained the MMR system seemed to work the exact same way; wins increase, losses decrease, the difference in MMR between you and your opponent determines how much it changes. Granted, this wasn't a huge sample size, but it was about five or six fairly prominent games.
The problem is that there's a comparison being made between two drastically different game genres

I'm thinking of linking my Steam DBD account with my BHVR account. Though, there are two questions I have, where I can't find an answer.
First question: What happens, if Steam shuts down forever (or Windows 10 Store / Epic Games), but my account was linked with my BHVR account? Will the Steam progress still be on the BHVR account, or will it be gone, because the link got cancelled because of the platform shutting down?
Second question: What would happen with my progress, if BHVR would stop using the "linking to BHVR account" function after a few years? Would my progress (even though I made this progress while my account was linked) go over to the platform I play on, or would my progress be gone forever?
i think you're being a bit paranoid, it's very rare for a mainstream gaming service to shut down - the only example I can think of is EA's origins but it's not shutting down but rather moving over to an updated platform

Also no, I just happened to see your topic and tried to clear up a potential misunderstanding. I apologize for trying to potentially help you understand your opponent, especially when a large amount of frustrations for both sides in this game come from lack of understanding on what the other side is doing/thinking.

You would have gotten out of the game a lot faster if you didn't refuse to commit to a gen. It was a stalemate, where neither side budged for an apparently absurd amount of time. You talked about going off and doing snowman high fives with other survivors, which says you were just as uncommitted as they were. I've also tried explaining multiple times that you are refusing to understand the time commitment involved in even short chases, and that nobody on the forums is going to have any evidence to judge how much time they would have had to do so without sacrificing their pressure. This repetition is pointless.
We didn't refuse to commit. We were trying to do two gens to pressure the killer a bit more, and he would only enter the area, and at most send his guards after us to run us away from the area.
I already said we tried to do the gen, even injured and he refused to do the chase. Im tired of repeating myself tbh.

If you want to get the devs attention, record it. Biased (as in your side of the story, not about killer vs survivor) perspectives don't tell them anything other than the fact you are upset with how the match played out. They have zero information on what actually happened, and cannot corroborate or deny any of your claims as to what happened. That type of feedback is actually extremely frustrating to developers because its irrelevant in all senses other than "the game made me upset."
Considering that I reported the user, if their report system works, they should be able to take my report seriously and review the game themselves, but that doesn't change the fact of whether I would post the video or not - and would be more effort than I am willing to give, to blur out the name so that I can prove some random on the forums wrong.
Do you hold other users that complain about survivors to the same standard?

Likewise nothing is benefited from a salt topic about losing to a 3 gen, yet here we are. I tried explaining the reasoning behind why legitimate 3 gen scenarios play out and how this situation related to them, but you just want to complain, so there's nothing to learn.
Edit: My point this entire time has been that your personal retelling of events doesn't give us enough information to say whether they were refusing to play like you claim, and I tried explaining why your perspective might have not understood what was going through their mind if it was legitimate play. All this stuff you keep adding about them stalking your profile or whatever is not information that anyone else is going to have. My only intent was to try to help you understand why you might be misunderstanding what the killer is attempting to do with their play.
Misunderstanding? I was in a game for 50 minutes!! because the killer refused to chase people that were injured WITHIN the area of the 3-gen. We had to physically stand in the area and not run for him to kill us and get us out of the game.
We weren't in a deadzone for hooks, and the basement was right there too if he wanted to go for hooks.

If you run in a straight line, it takes an average of about 40 seconds to get two hits. The time to down, as well as the first hit, are obviously going to be variable depending on the distance from the start of the chase. Once again, without this data, it is impossible to judge whether they were refusing to commit due to "refusing to participate" or whether they judged that the time to catch up, secure the hit, hope there's no dead hard to extend it further, pick them up, walk them to a hook, and get back to the 3 gen is a reasonable amount of time to not sacrifice the gens in the process. All we have to go off of is your loaded retelling of events. If you want vindication, at least post a video of the match, your perspective wouldn't tell the whole story, but it would be better than having to rely on your claims.
I dont record my games with the intention of 'trying to catch people out', that's ######### and terrible. I benefit nothing from posting about my experiences because they already happened, and all i can ask is for future killers to be more sympathetic.
I've not talked down on anyone just trying to defend strategically, or using regression perks. I'm trying to condemn people that hold the game hostage, and in this case - the game lasted 50 minutes and the guy continued to stalk my profile afterwards for some reason. I have a clip of end chat where the killer was being an ass and admitting that he didnt care for holding the game hostage but I'm not going to post it either because im not looking to name or shame.

The killer's objective is to kill as many as possible, not to kill one to knowingly let the other 3 escape. You say it was impossible to get one gen past 50%, but ignore the fact that the base time for that other 50% is 45 seconds, which would be reduced even further with multiple people piling on said gen since all 4 were alive still (which would leave 3 to commit while the killer commits to the chase/down/hook/return trip) You're severely underestimating how much time waste is involved in the act of getting a person out, even in that scenario.
You keep claiming they refused to commit to a chase, yet you yourself refused to commit to a gen, even though you apparently hadn't been hooked whatsoever. You're asking the killer to throw to "participate in gameplay" while being unwilling to do so yourself.
I already said that 1 was dead, two were dead on hook (whilst injured at times).
Idk how many times i have to say this. It would literally take one swing to take one of them down, and he refused to do that.

I wasn't in your match, so I have no idea how much truth you are stretching with your summary of events. I spoke in a very general sense because thats all I have to go off of, the majority of the time not leaving the 3 gen area is the smart play, with the exception being if they are able to get the down and hook both close to the area and in a very quick manner. You say 10 second chases, but you need to then add the time it takes to pick them up and transport them to a hook/return to the 3gen to check each gen, and a gen could easily be done in that amount of time. The more survivors that are alive, the faster they can get a single gen done to break the siege. It becomes a constant chain of judgement calls, and by nature people are generally going to be more cautious when on the backfoot (just like how somoene on death hook will generally play less risky, knowing they are close to being eliminated for a single mistake.)
You aren't really grasping that anyone who didn't witness the match itself might think you're exagerating on one or more of the elements you claim, including "refusing to completely participate in gameplay." Having two people on death hook and commiting to either of them would be trading 1 kill for losing the match, so its understandable that they would be looking for an opening that wouldn't cost them more than they gain. Without being there, none of us are going to be able to objectively appraise their intent.
The little bias quip was cute, though. Agenda indeed.
? The killer's objective is to kill. He had two people on death hook, one person already dead. I hadnt been hooked whatsoever during the game. He had multiple opportunities to kill the other two players and refused to engage in a chase, especially when he had the gens under control from his regression perks. It was almost impossible to get one gen past 50%.
It got to the point that we could completely disengage from doing the gens to do a secondary objective with absolutely no threat because the killer wasn't interested in engaging, but to protect the 3-gen as a Knight.

Why would the killer leave the area? Thats how you lose 3 gens, and they have zero pressure reason to do so. Chasing someone to the opposite end of the map is giving up their pressure they have, and the survivors 3 genned themselves instead of forcing one of those gens when the killer was apparently playing normally before that point.
The blame is just as much with rushing outer gens as it is with the killer maintaining pressure to capitalize on that mistake. You can make arguments about the shared agency of survivors and "it was the other survivors who caused the 3 gen" but at the end of the day, there is absolutely zero reason for a killer to chase anyone further away from that position unless they are confident they will get the down and be able to bring them back to a hook near said 3 gen. Asking them to leave that area for long enough to do a gen is asking them to throw the match.
Except that wasnt what was happening whatsoever, and you have ignored what I said just to perpetrate your own beliefs/agenda. We had two survivors that were dead on hook, injured, doing the gens and the killer would refuse to do a 10 second chase, with zero gen pressure from us from constant gen regression.
I said the problem wasn't gen regression builds, it's not protecting the 3-gen, but refusing to completely participate in gameplay especially in the event of getting 2 death hooks.

Are you sure they weren't just playing defensive?
That said - yes, it sucks. I've had a rash of survivors going AFK and somehow using snowmen to avoid getting crows, stalling the game out for ages. I wish this sort of thing didn't happen on either end.
Yes, we stopped trying to get the gens, and did the snowmen objectives, and the killer didnt leave the area whatsoever. He'd injure the two dead on hook ppl and wouldn't just down them to secure the kills.

Question : if killers are not going for downs in your games how was 2 people dead on hook???
Sounds like they were being hooked but the gens prob being close to being done and killer started slugging or running people off to get some regression on gens.
Trust me he was trying to win. Not everyone has the best strategy.
Petiontial energy is a good perk to break a 3 gen.
Now knight has a strong 3 gen game and its almost impossible to break.
3 gen strategy is a good strategy for killer to run with gen regression perks. Might not be fun to go against but think you may need a new loadout to combat a 3 gen situation.
Because he was playing normal until the 3-gen happened.
Once it happened, he refused to participate in chase, would only hit to deter people and otherwise stay in the 3-gen area, and even had perks that would perfectly help in chase had he decided to down someone (eg. Eruption).
I understand defending a 3-gen, I understand trying to lure people into a deadzone to catch them. But none of that was happening. We even at one point stopped trying to fix the gens and went to do the snowmen highfives and he was still standing in the 3-gen, absolutely refusing to participate in gameplay.
Theres a huge difference between defending a 3-gen and completely disengaging from gameplay.

Im going to have to disagree with you on that one. I play both killer and survivor, and there are plenty of things both sides still have that are equally as annoying.
You can't disagree with facts.
Facts being that most of the annoying things that killers classified as annoying, killers complained about relentlessly until it got nerfed - whereas the longest standing complaints for survivors have remained in the game.

Im sorry Im a bit confused on what you mean.
That a lot of the things that killers considered toxic, have been removed from the game whereas whenever it's a thing that survivors consider toxic - survivors are told to cope and that they are just whining instead of playing the game and dealing with it.

Then they have the right to leave the match they are playing and move to the next match. If people are not responsible for my fun, I am not responsible for their fun, so I dont care how I affect anyone else in the trial. I mean thats the stance the community takes right? So then why is it such an issue when some one DCs or Kills themselves on hook?
Because when a survivor expects some form of sportsmanship, its called the 'survivor handbook of how to play DBD', but when a killer expects sportsmanship its because the survivors are playing in a toxic way. Except nearly everything that killers perceive as toxic - has been removed from the game or are behaviours that don't impact the game/its outcome for the most bit.
Killers used to find key-squads toxic, so they nerfed keys. They found the hatch to be toxic, so they nerfed the hatch. They found flashlight clicking toxic, so they nerfed the flashlights. They found infinity looping toxic, so they nerfed it. A lot of these things that could be ignored and made completely redundant, or have other varying types of counter-play.
But when a survivor whines about a camper, a tunneller, or whatever else - It is our problem and we should always adjust to that behaviour and just deal with it.

If the event is not to your liking as survivor, then just play killer.
If the event is not to your liking as killer, then just play survivor.
If the event is not to your liking on both sides, then just wait till its over.
Except refraining completely from playing a game because of an issue that has been happening since the first event ever isn't a solution. Issues of people being horrible have been reported since the beginning and BHVR should react on it - instead of spending their time to re-design the forums into a more messy format.

If there's a snowman near the hook, and you haven't seen the killer for a while, it's probably a camper.

It was completely broken. The simple fact that you could use them, mid chase, to gain an extra health state was bogus.
Snowmen are excellent for stealth. Seeing savvy survivors already using them as extra lockers.
You couldn't use them midchase because if you got hit mid animation, it would still injure you. Killers could also pick killers that could completely negate the snowmen

Killers don't want to use these gen blocking or regressing perks but they have no choice. Games last 3-5 minutes if they don't use these perks. You want eruption to get nerfed and then go for the next anti gen perk.
BHVR should be focusing on 10-15 minutes matches instead of games that last shorter than loading/queue times.
And survivors genrush otherwise the game takes too long.

I hope you get me! I brought everyone Ormond as Krampus Trapper for fun lol I Fr-pipped, but had some good laughs..so it was worth it 🙂
I hope so! whenever we notice the killer wants to just have some fun, we usually give back the same energy! :D

Just had one from DC-ing against a toxic killer, so yes. they are on.
