The killers seem so angry during this event meanwhile the survivors just want to high five in the snowmen. They should've made challenges for killers and survivors that were "enter x amount of snowmen" and "high five x players" in snowmen, maybe that'd help chill some people out.
They are acting very lame..I stopped playing after 2 games.

The amount of survs just throwing is ridiculous. almost every game 1-3 people immediately give up, or after they get downed or hooked once. why are you even playing if your just going to be children about it? your screwing over your team mates and the killer and ruining games.
Its not because of the excuses of camping or tunneling like people pretend happens every game(it doesnt) and i use basic killers like trapper, pig, wraith, clown, gf and dont use "meta perks" typically.
So its alot more than pretending its because of acting like its a 1k hour nurse and blight you face with full slowdown.
? The DCs penalty is still active

I bought some DLCs with cool hunters (The Trickster, Ghostface, Pyramid Head I regret buying him since I heard he's a pretty difficult hunter)
And wanted to try them out one day but I tried being a killer once today (as trapper with no perks) and my heart was pounding so fast I couldn't even calm down in the match 😭 But in the end, (Image shown below)

You need to figure out what is it about killer that scares you first

I have chases shorter than 30 seconds but by the time I get 1 or 2 downs,at least 3 gens pop.
The killer cant be at more places in the same time and for most killers its almost impossible to deal with it.
No wonder camping and tunneling is so effective.
Survivors dont do anything else besides gens because they dont have to,and that's a problem as gens are being repaired faster than a killer can pressure them.
The only way a killer can deal with it is if survivors make a lot of mistakes, stack gen regression perks, have a quick and fast first chase.
The problem with genrushing is that they nerfed how long it takes to do gens.
The longer you make it, the more people will bring gen-rushing builds/items to counter-act it. Generators should be at a set speed, and then accordingly adjust how much effect each perk/items have for repairing/kicking gens.

Did you even read the thread? Regardless of how much of an advantage the killer has and the impact it has on MMR, the final survivor still has more of a chance to escape than the other 3. It is definitely a privilege, not a guarantee.
The post I responded to said the last survivor should have a better chance of escaping than the rest of the team, and they do. It's not my opinion, it's fact... no one else gets the opportunity to attempt hatch except the final survivor, therefore increasing their chance of escaping.
It's not an additional chance. Most of the time, the left-over survivor's only option is the hatch because the killer can safely patrol between gates, especially when they can spawn right next to eachother.
Hatch escape literally does nothing for the survivor statistically than saving their items.

and killers don't have that right to play and win?
what a bigger shocker
Killers do have the right, and statistically are out-performing survivors across the ladder. You're forgetting that as a killer, you are playing 4 games, whereas a survivor is only playing one game.

did nobody noticed that 3 major perks that countered genrushing got gutted
SH:PR nerfed
H:R gutted
Noed which punished genrushing got nerfed as well
and now eruption needs a nerf apparently
every survivor wants to just start the game, sit on a gen, finish it and go next, and escape, anything that involves something interrupting their fun time of holding m1 is apparently illegal, and the best part you are not even getting a pip.....
but survivor perks were nerfed as well....looks at DH usage vs ruin the only perk i don't see anymore is barrowed time because its core now, so not sure what kinda of NERF are we talking about here
and this is more supported by the fact that any killer or someone who plays both sides, says that a survivor perk is too powerful and get made fun of, while you see someone complain about some killer perk that just rose up from being underrated and low behold everyone thinks its broken and everyone supports its nerf
do you ever see someone complain about franklin's or STBFL, no? well they don't effect gens
they are not broken, sure you could say that until you play against a STBFL slinger then you will see how broken it is
yes soloQ is hard but playing low tier killer is harder, and here is a fun fact, survivors do have options of changing their loadout and most likely getting out, most killers don't, either 4 gen regression or 4 man escape with toxicity on the top of it
now watch people ask for a jolt nerf after eruption gets nerfed eventually
Survivors want to win their games? What a shocker.

They already do. The last survivor always has a chance at the hatch. That's a privilege none of the other 3 survivors got.
Considering that a killer is generally faster than a survivor, and that's not including killers that have speed/travel as their power, it's not a privilege, especially when hatch doesn't count towards a win but a draw.

Still goes Swf, killer, then soloq in terms of power scaling.
That's because the devs refuse to actually address the bridge fully. But there isnt much difference between SWF and Killers considering the statistics that they released, as killers on average have a positive kill rate.

Or rather... killers being incentivized to camp from the amount of 2nd chances survivors now have ONTOP of exhaustion perks.
This game has never been more killer-sided in it's history, with most second-chance perks being useless as a killer can catch up relatively fast despite them.

What if 2 have already escaped through the gates and then the last escapes through hatch, because hatch spawning after the gates are open is still a thing? The killer's supposed to guard all 3?
Then someone is losing themselves out of MMR because Hatch is a neutral escape. No one loses or wins (in the games' eyes in that situation).

It's proven to be working counter. Myers take lot of time to get to tier 3 with his iri add ons so if your team just minimaze his stalking chanses while looping him all gens should be done easily.
Of course trying to dodge his LOS will be his counter? The same way it is for Ghostface? or any other killer? Doesn't mean that your suggestion wouldn't be OP.

Today I was playing survivor and 2 of us were dead. I manage to get to an exit gate injured and I open the door. As I was opening the door I see my (injured) teammate being chased from the killer. I opened the door and sacrificed myself (I went down for my teammate) to get the other one out.
The teammate that escaped typed a <3 in the end game chat and there I understood that I did a good action and I felt happy about it.
Did you ever sacrifice yourself for a teammate?
Sometimes, had a game earlier where I had the chance to escape or to potentially sacrifice myself - so I tried my best, but thankfully we both escaped in the end anyway.
Ill only 'sacrifice' myself if i see that the other survivor is trying to escape together.
-
Because RNG.
Horrible gate spawns, horrible gen spawns and horrible hook spawns have been in the game for very long. The fact alone that a hook will always spawn around Shack is flawed philosophy, in my personal opinion.
They also recently added new tiles, which are so horrible, you are ironically better off running the tiles on the outskirts of the map.

but like- why hand out a free escape to the last survivor? why reward him for playing badly and hiding? Giving hatch to decent survivors that were good in chase and got 4 / close to 5 gens done: sure! But giving hatch to players that didnt earn it is wrong - also the slugging wouldnt even be necessary if the last survivor would actually engage in the game which they are not doing.
It's not a free win. Hatch escapes are counted as neutral in the game. The most a survivor gets out of a hatch escape is that they keep their item and don't lose their MMR ranking.
-

Hatch is indeed like the worst endgame mechanic they could have possibly come up with. "Got a 4k? Nope! We just let the last survivor out for freeee!" The only thing people say against it is, "They probably got a bad team" (Really? Every single time, we're supposed to assume that?) and, "It's to stop the game from being held hostage." (Why not make the anti-hostage mechanic killer favored then? Or at least neutral and not a free escape?) both of which are terrible excuses. My suggestion? The survivors don't want to progress the game, they get their auras shown, cross-map, without lockers or Distortion or anything like that stopping it. I have no shame.
??? hatch is literally neutral. you dont lose as a killer if someone escapes thru hatch

How do you "camp" a 3 gen but not down survivors?
If surv's refuse to do gens because there is a killer nearby then that's them holding the game hostage not the killer.
Easily, with how generators can spam, it takes less than 5 seconds to reach one at times.

It was a massive success. Most people got exactly what they'd been asking for throughout the years. 1 patch drops and suddenly survivors have zero fun, even though they had plenty of fun before? Okay. If that's all it takes for them to leave, they can go. The rest of us will adapt and have fun. The low motivation of certain survivors isn't the game's fault, and it certainly isn't 6.1.0's fault. This entitled/lazy survivor mentality has been going on for years. They want to put in minimum effort and feel godlike, and when that doesn't happen they rage quit.
I hope BHVR continues with patches like that, so that the undesirables who screw over their teammates and skew stats constantly will leave the rest of us in peace. I also want to see the reactions to any potential killer buffs, since people usually lose their minds over that stuff. Seems like every patch drop it's, "The worst patch that's ever happened!"
You're saying this as if survivor buffs aren't met with nearly the same reaction, if not at times, worse. The game has been getting patched to be more killer-sided since 2020.
They entirely reworked maps in favour of killers, removing infinites, sizing a bunch of maps down, removing pallets/windows on top of adding breakable walls. They nerfed the meta perks for survivors (to switch up the META). Nerfed items. Nerfed base-game interactions to take longer, and created awful tiles that are horrible to run as a survivor.
The Patch Update did NOTHING that it promised, but enforced exactly what it was trying to nerf. Gen-rushing is now more important than ever, killers are extremely boosted, and the game overall feels less interactive. It's not about adapting, it's not about being toxic, or wanting to have your way. BHVR have explicitly stated they want killers to have an advantage in kill-rates. They want there to be an imbalance, and that is undoubtedly going to feel horrible given that prior to this update, survivors struggled if one survivor DC'd or got eliminated early in match.

I feel that way a lot, but I think it's just a bias of perception.
Like you, it seems like whenever I have a stun/blind challenge (I tend to try to do both at pallets), I'll have nothing but Huntresses, Nemeses, or Nurses. It almost feels like malicious matchmaking, but then I think that these are killers I often face under "normal" circumstances.
I'd generally like to agree, but that's actually not the case for me.
I hadn't gone against a spirit or huntress in a good few weeks. First time I equip that challenge and it was just non-stop that day lol..

You have to stop appealing to these players who are stuck in the past
How are the Devs catering to them whilst also (which you have self-admitted) nerfing perks and etc for those players?
Most people have moved on from Deadhard and Decisive.

I was in a discussion with a friend of mine (who plays on console), and they had mentioned how it feels unfair that pc players get early access to new features and console players don't.
I had mentioned that it might be because that'd be more servers that BHVR would have to maintain and would get expensive, maybe since it has to be opted in (and redownloaded) through steam that it's an issue with the console storefronts, maybe even that having two versions of the same game on a player's console was just too much to ask (since the game files used to take up nearly 90GB before the optimization patches).
Is there a reason that this isn't a thing? Has this been discussed before and I've just somehow overlooked it?
It's like that in most games. It's not about servers. PTB are temporary and for consoles, they would have to pay a lot more to create 'PTB's

I spent my time trying to explain to people like yourself that love to tell me what I’m saying that my disappointment sits with the devs because I believe they are being disingenuous. You are care more about some insidious intent of the change than you do about people who are positively affected by this change. You aren't some morale compass that you think you are being.
Also the devs don't pre-announce all the ptb changes. We're lucky we get blogs the week before going over some of the ptb changes before the ptb drops. But we've never gotten a list of every change that will happen on the ptb before the ptb patch notes.
The flashlight change is a separate event in of itself, and would’ve been included normally if it was planned.
again? What am I meant to say in regards to the change? I don’t have a bone to pick with it because I like that those that suffer from epilepsy will have an easier time so I don’t touch on that? Maybe because it’s not the point of my disappointment? The disappointment is their lacklustre attempts at this that happen at convenient times when they are under the scrutiny of the community.
Believe it or not, people can support something whilst questioning or criticising the intentions of an organisation.

Accessible changes aren't all or nothing.
The devs can make tweaks to flashlights now and make tweaks to other elements in the game that can cause seizures later. The idea that if the devs don't change literally everything at once then no changes should be made is a bad mindset to have.
This is a step in the right direction in the same way the colorblindness stuff bhvr added last year was. As long as the devs keep putting out these changes to improve accessibility of the game, I really don't get what the problem is.
It comes off as disingenuous to me. That’s my problem.
I didn’t say it should be all or nothing either. I find it contextually to just be a PR move.
the context being that they are under-fire by almost every group in the game for varying things, including their ambassadors. They usually pre-announce all PTB changes coming to the game, and this was never mentioned. It literally feels like a last minute change with just a reason attached just because.
i would’ve loved to hear that they hear the community, especially those that suffer from their specific sensitivities and how they are looking to improve the QOL of the disabled people in the community. But it was a small change with a little line tagged at the bottom.
you are free to disagree about their intentions but I’m not sure why the others feel the need to be so upset that I don’t think BHVR is being honest

I understand your point. I don't believe that's OP's opinion though. I believe what they're trying to say is, they don't care that flashlight clicking is getting changed. The change doesn't bother them. What bothers them is that, in their opinion, BHVR's reason for changing the clicking is disingenuous. If I understand correctly, OP believes the change is not about accessibility but is instead intended to benefit Killers by making timing flashlight saves more precise.
Thanks for actually understanding what I am saying instead of trying to put words in my mouth.
I never once advocated against the change, or said it shouldn’t come, or that accessibility shouldn’t come into the game. But literally looking at patterns of how BHVR releases things, and how they are currently under-fire. It seems like a last minute addition, just to have a “hey guys! But I did this too!” card.
the fact that is happens to be a buff to killers is just an additional point to my post, but people blew that bit up too

This is caused by killer-mains using people with photosensitivity issues to get the developers to remove something they don't like. This is completely because killer-mains get their feelings hurt when a survivor outplays them, then flashlight clicks. It's so blatant, it's not even funny.
Instead of just telling the truth, killer-mains are pretending their concern for other peoples feelings, which we all know is a lie. This is a group of players that tunnel, face-camp and 4 man slug and you're telling me that the killer-mains are concerned about people with photosensitivity issues.
The developers are removing flashlight clicking because they consider it toxic, not because they actually believe killer-main lies about them caring for people with photosensitivity issues. Don't think killer-mains pulled the wool over the developers eyes at all.
There’s definitely issues with it causing seizures, that part is not a lie. It’s the fact the developers just randomly tagged that onto the PTB, whilst also ignoring the vast other features in the game that also trigger seizures

where did I say I disagree with the change? I’ve mentioned in the thread that they still have a lot of changes to do to accommodate those people as there are a lot of triggers in the game for seizures.

I don’t think something being in the game a long time or how long the community has pointed something out is a reason to complain about a change when they make it. I mean, what’s the ask here? They should never respond to concerns about photosensitivity issues with flashlight clicking because thus far they haven’t?
A complaint that they have issues for photosensitive people in the game is rooted in an actual issue. A complaint that they’re fixing it and explaining why they’re fixing it feels like manufactured outrage. I’m glad they’re taking action even though some would try and create a lose-lose situation for them.
what I am saying is, if they want to address triggering features in the game, they should bloody do it.
there are still SEVERAL features in the game that can trigger seizures.
not to mention that BHVR is known for this behaviour, of “trying to do something good” when they are being criticised from every angle, and at this rate, even their own community ambassadors.
awfully convenient that they don’t address the whole picture about seizures (which would’ve shown actual genuinity in these changes), they are being flamed by fog whisperers, game is getting ruined by cheaters and IP leakers, after they stated they want the kill rates to be even higher, whilst having criticism from both survivors and killers.
notice how every change that they are ever passionate about or have planned, they will discuss? Notice how this was completely left out until PTB drop?
if you want to believe this was genuine, go for it. But I don’t. And I’d rather them be upfront about it
