I think he's going to be a new survivor with some awesome perks! I bet they give him something cool like a perk where if you take a few hits, the next hit automatically triggers endurance, or maybe something cool like you hit a button when you're injured to do a short dash forward where you also have i-frames. Something to really get the people sold on the DLC!
-
I always like to see them!

I think even if this is the case, new players should not be in lobby against veteran players. I don't know is it really so hard to add 300 hours limit for new players. People who is under 300 hours should not be matched with veterans.
There may not be enough newer players to keep up matchmaking in an expedient manner with those restrictions. The devs have said that they value fast queue times. The game is seven years old now, how many newbies are there really? There's also newbs that play in SWFs that get dragged into games with veteran killers all the time.
-
Absent further information, it's safe to assume they just want to win. The easiest way to win is to target the weak link on the team. There's no in-game incentive for the Blight to take it easy. The only thing is it might give him a wholesome feeling internally if that's important to him. I just had a game the other day where I noticed that a Tapp was an extremely weak looper while the rest of his team were all extremely good. I could have EASILY tunneled this guy out and won the game, but I didn't, and it ended up being a three or four escape because I spent too much time chasing the strong loopers to be nice to the newb. How was I rewarded for this selfless action? The Tapp sits in the exit gates for the EGC as long as possible to teabag me. Last time I do that.
I hope you're also pouring a 40 out for all the killers that bully squad SWFs have run off.
-
I also fell victim to this from a bully squad SWF before I realized what they were doing. If the team has flashlights hovering around, and a survivor gets in a locker and then exits slowly, you have to be cognizant enough to wait for the animation to finish and then knock them down. Otherwise, they will blind you during the grab animation. That's the best way to deal with it. or put on Lightborn or just stand in the corner spamming your power until they do gens and leave.
-
Beating 3 gens is easy, just apply gen pressure
-
I have like 200+ salty survivors blocked on PSN lmao
-
Imagine if survivors weren't only limited to two killers to ban. Every killer except Pig would be banned. Survivors only have fun playing against killers they can loop for five generators
-
Deal as long as we can opt out of playing against 3 and 4 stack SWFs
-
Try to play during peak hours, dodge any lobbies that look like vets/good SWF, and hope to get matched with survivors that are chill/potato enough that they don't know about using the locker to avoid the mori or won't do it specifically to deny you the trophy. I too almost have every trophy on PS5 now except the Huntress one lol. I need like 12 more hatchets
-
It wouldn't be DbD without facecamping Bubba, you can't change that. It's the heart and soul of the game!

Damn, I barely ever see SM in my lobbies, it's all Ghostfaces, Weskers and Nemesises (Nemeses?).
When I play SM, I go super aggressive rather than committing to a 3-gen early on, which is probably why I lose a lot of my SM games (except where Survivors DC as soon as they see me or they get downed at 5 gens because they didn't realise my drone speeds me up).
This. If you play her as a chase killer against competent players, you will lose almost every time barring some horrible misplays from the survivors. She is not good except for holding 3-gens

How on earth does P100 corellate with SWF?! Because the average solo Q player loses his mind before reaching 100 or what? xD
This unironically. SWFs can consistently stack bloodpoint offerings making it take significantly less time to get to P100. You would go insane going for P100 purely in solo queue the entire time. Also, I don't bother dodging P100. I've played against enough sweats and bullies that it doesn't matter anymore. They usually mean less points though. Most P100 squads last second switch when I'm not really paying attention anyways.
-
P100 on a survivor indicates SWF more than anything, so I'm not surprised a lot of killer players dodge them. It's unfortunate because it messes up the matchmaking system and causes mismatches due to backfilling. This happens to me all the time.
-
I didn't start until Clown came out but old decisive strike that never deactivated prior to the timer expiring and having to drible was the most annoying thing ever before the Dead Hard validation caused DH to be on every survivor every lobby
-
Map design. Resilience/ adrenaline hard gen rush squads don't even have to heal and there's no fear because the maps are so ridiculously safe. The healing nerfs did nothing vs teams and killers got their gen regression absolutely gutted for it
-
Just pressure gens, bro!
-
There's no gen regression perks left, the maps are all ridiculously safe and gigantic, there's a HUD telling you exactly what other people are doing, when you can go for the doors, when you can time an adrenaline proc, there's a heart that will tell you exactly when the terror radius starts, the survivors get notified whenever a killer perk is active. What more should BHVR do to coddle and handhold the guy that rage quits when Trapper or Pig downs him immediately on Borgo without making the game ludicrously unbalanced like it used to be?
-
I mean the gens are flying and getting done faster than ever. There are no good gen regression perks anymore while the maps are still horribly designed and all the gen speed boosting perks and items were left untouched and even buffed. Not sure how you can't get the gens done and escape
-
My favorites are the maps with chained tiles and 40 safe pallets like Shattered Square, The Game, Eyrie of Crows, and Garden of Joy. They're really fun to play on!
-
It sucks. Every single time they finish the gen a second or two before I get the scourge hook and it ends up wasted. It's so frustrating

Cool, you're a unicorn, here's a medal.
You're an outlier and most of the SM players aren't playing like u and want to secure a win cause they get money for it, so they camp a 3 gen from the moment the camera zooms around their model when they spawn.
Lol okay buddy no need to be hostile. You act like there aren't sweaty ass survivors playing like BHVR is personally sending them a $50,000 check when they escape
-
People absolutely do just assume every Skull Merchant is going to hard 3-gen. I played Skull Merchant before the mid-chapter and I took every chase that presented itself, wasn't using overbrine (just eruption), and I wasn't kicking gens incessantly. I got a 4k and afterwards one of the survivors messages me and goes "no more 30 minute games for you after the update you'll have to get good"... the match was like 8 minutes lol. no one even dced or killed themselves. It's like he just got it in his head that's what all skull merchants do and just shut his brain off to what was actually happening
-
Skull Merchant is nice for newer killers because she's pretty strong without needing that much mechanical skill or a ton of DLC perks IMO
-
But she's hot though
-
Basically any action that I can interpret as "f you, you suck, i'm better than you" is toxic. Teabagging or emoting after a pallet stun. Sitting in the exit gates for the entire EGC to teabag. Sitting on the hatch waiting for me to come see you teabag and then leave. Clicking your flashlight at me. Moonwalking in my face etc
-
FoV teching and spinning almost exclusively screws over us console killer players. It's obnoxious it hasn't been changed yet. It was great when they changed the animations and survivors couldn't 360 us anymore but then they changed it back because survivors got big sad over it
-
It's okay that gens fly and you can't do anything about it, just consider it a win if you have fun chases!!!

Rofl. This would be abused:
- Killer killed you first? Give him a low score.
- Survivor ran you for 3 gens? Give them a low score.
Hilariously bad idea to give the players the ability to punish their opponent for made-up rule infractions like camping, tunneling, flashlight clicky, and t-bagging.
True, I don't think this would be workable but I think they could make a system where people that routinely DC or kill themselves on first hook would get matched with other people that have a history of doing that. Friday the 13th had this in the matchmaking system it was called the salt mines
-
I love to hard tunnel out BT bodyblockers to teach them a lesson
-
A lot of survivors hate playing against hard tunnelling and face camping because it isn't fun to play against. Killers counter by saying they have to do it to have a chance to win and they don't care if the survivors find it fun or not because they aren't responsible for their fun. If I fire up Speed Limiter Bubba for fun and to farm some points, If I get matched against a four man gen rush resilience/adrenaline squad that wants to smash the gens as fast as possible and get out, they aren't responsible for my fun and couldn't care less. They just want to win
-
I have never seen anyone use Blood Rush
-
7 seconds is not minor. I've had so many games recently where I was 1 second away from getting a pain res hook and the gen gets done just before I can hook them

Peanits shared that stat. He said the escape rate difference between solo and SWF isn’t that large; it’s between 8-15%.
He didn't share actual stats, they only ever make vague allusions to them. I feel like they aren't being honest about it
-
BHVR won't even show stats for how often SWFs escape vs. solos, why would you accept their stats for anything
-
Midwich has the highest kill rate because the doors are static and easily defendable. That's it. No survivor is getting out in a 1v1 in EGC unless killer lets them.
-
Opposite for me in the midwest. The sweatiest players are on during the day and it's a little bit softer at night unless you run into the 4 man resilience/adrenaline gen rush squads.
-
I just solo q and usually have fun as long as everyone on my team tries. It's only not fun if someone dcs or kills themselves on first hook, ruining the game for everyone.
Killer has been hit or miss. It's fun if you don't run into the resilience/adrenaline super gen rush squads. Unfortunately I've been getting those teams every other match. It's not fun when 3 gens are popping after 1 chase and you can't do ######### about it because the devs destroyed all the good gen regression perks but left BNPs, prove thyself, hyperfocus, toolboxes, and even buffed overzealous
-
The Knight is fun to play cause he can pressure more than one survivor at a time
-
I played Trapper yesterday. I downed a p100 first. He killed himself on hook lmao. Trapper OP plz nerf BHVR
-

I dunno what to tell you.
I'm just not having trouble in most of my matches. I play to win, sure, but I'm generally using a single gen perk.
I'm not having trouble creating pressure or forcing Survivors into bad situations. We all have bad games, or a streak of them, every so often.
Called it in my first reply to OP lmao

Im not being a smartass.
Im genuinely curious, what builds are you people running to win? I just cant slow people down. They bring medkits, heal each other super fast, and now I have almost no gen regression I dont know what to do about the gens.
Im getting to the point where I dont know what to do.
I'm agreeing with you. The gens are flying. Gen regression perks are useless now. Pain Res esp is total crap because you get screwed by RNG so often
-
Your query will be answered in the order it was received. We appreciate your patience. A resident forum killer main that 4ks 99% of their games with no slowdown will be with you shortly to tell you about how you're bad and need to get good.
-
I don't know why killers would dodge P100 players. Everyone on the forums tells me that there's zero correlation between being P100 and being good at the game. Those P100 players are all just babies that run into walls and self care for minutes in the corner

Smaller youtube streamer probaly unknown by bhvr with 270 winstreak on clown (pinky finger), this is US east server which may have some of the weakest survivors overall tho (players like Scott and Zubat play on the same server)
If you're good and play optimal with strong builds you can just do well overall and hardly lose pretty much, maybe you'll run into more sweats depending on the time of day or being unlucky but i play on EU servers and i have had good experiences overall i'd say, i could still win maybe 90% of my killer games but i havent played since the latest patch. If you want to look at someone who plays on EU servers and wins alot generally and goes on decent streaks look up Zeb89 on twitch (gets maybe 250 viewers on twitch on average)
If people find out someone got a 270 winstreak on Clown, they'll be calling for him to be nerfed!

You also shouldn't be getting matched against complete baby teams that you can easily steamroll, like you seem to want.
Fact of the matter is, you probably have an extremely limited sample size. Content creators play FAR more games than either you or I. This raises the odds of the matchmaker tossing them people.
If I was getting matched against the players Tofu gets my kill rate might actually go above 1 - 2
-

Uh huh.
Even if that were true, which it verifiably isn't, multiple streamers have spoken about how they don't like that. Tofu doesn't like to play Killer because he keeps winning too easily.
Personally, I think you're just making excuses for your own poor gameplay. The matchmaker sucks, we get it. However, it's just as likely to put you against someone you're better than.
Sure man if I was 17 years old and had all day to play this game with no responsibilities, I could be amazing too. The fact is I'm not and have a real career. When I just want to chill out and play for fun at night, I shouldn't be getting matched against p100 squads that are there to troll or against resilient/adrenaline sweat teams that are playing against me like BHVR has a $50,000 check waiting for them when they escape. Somehow the biggest content creators don't seem to deal with this stuff though 🤷♀️
-
They took off the DC penalty specifically for fog whisperers when the hackers were holding games hostage, it's not some ridiculous big stretch that they've manipulated the matchmaking to give them easy games to show them winning/having fun to their large audience. I'm not saying they have anything against me, I'm saying that someone has to play against those teams that are routed away from players they should be matching with.
-
It's not a conspiracy theory, it's pretty clear that something is amiss with the matchmaker when it comes to fog whisperers/larger content creators. Other people see it and have made content about it. Choy compared tru3 vs. otz during the afk no perks challenge and tru3 faced significantly harder survivors and teams while otz had matches where no one even had dead hard. tru3 gets sniped a lot and was kicked out of the fog whisperer program while otz is a game golden boy. nothing against him personally ofc. Just boot up an OhTofu or ScottJund stream on any given night and watch them stomp the hell out of survivors running into walls or hiding behind z walls. These dudes have 10k hours and play for a living while I, a console playing average killer player, get p100 players every other lobby
-
Look on the bright side, the Dead Hard nerf is a huge boost to us console Huntress players. Also, I don't entirely agree with you. I actually think Shattered Safe Pallet is a good snipe map for Huntress
