Lol, I mean survivors do next to nothing to encourage killer players not to camp/tunnel. I'll use my first killer game of the night tonight as a prime example. I had a Nemesis daily and since I don't sweat too hard, I just put on a goofy build. The map was Shattered Safe Pallet, so already I knew I wasn't going to win but I still went to play for hooks and reach maximum mutation. The Meg in this lobby was BAD, like use Sprint Burst to run past god pallets to the z wall at the edge of the map bad. I could have easily hard tunnelled her out of the game to give myself a really good chance of 3 or 4king, even with this build and on a survivor sided trash heap map. I didn't though, and just went for hooks. How was I treated in the end game? The P100 that was on death hook clicked and teabagged at me in the exit gates despite the fact that they did nothing amazing all game except comp drop. At the other exit gate across the map? The Meg waits there for the entire EGC when no one was left in the trial. Typical survivors lmao

He complained that as Pig he downed someone and they DC’d but if you’re familiar with his post history he admits to tunneling off hook (and just in general) and camping. It stands to reason that he employs these tactics in every game he plays as killer. So my initial point that survivors should group up in SWF to appease both sides was illustrated twofold by this killer main complaining about a solo queue player he presumably tunneled and/or camped (a common behavior as per his own admissions) DCing against him. If that survivor was in a SWF I’m sure his tunneling/camping wouldn’t have been as influential, and it’s unlikely that survivor would have DC’d. So he’d get a match he could enjoy since the DC bothered him and the survivor wouldn’t have to DC against his scummy tactics. Hope this helps! :)
You are lacking in reading comprehension. First of all, the comment about someone DCing at first down playing Pig means literally that... rage quitting at getting downed first. That's before I've even had the opportunity to camp/tunnel.
Second, the only recent posts I've made about camping/tunnelling are that I understand why some people choose to hard tunnel/camp (it makes it easier to win) and survivors dgaf if you play nice (you still get teabagged in exit gate and told gg ez baby killer when they survive). I've also said that I find facecamping Bubba to be hilarious.
I don't facecamp (unless it's EGC) or hard tunnel because I choose not to play that way and instead prefer to play for hooks. Does it cost me games and kills? Absolutely! Avoiding hard tunnelling out the Meghead in favor of chasing a stronger survivor leads to less hooks and kills. The only time I will gladly hard tunnel somebody out of the game immediately is if they BT body block me from going after someone else. They've bought themselves a ticket to tunnel town in that instance.

"Want to enjoy solo queue the first step is to accept that you are at the mercy of random variation amongst team mates."
I think that's why I don't hate soloq as much as other people seem to around here. I just the embrace chaos and accept the fact there will be times where I go "#########!" (often get a good laugh out of it) on the flip side there are many, many times I get a great team.
I also try not to judge too harshly. Even if someone totally screws up and costs us dearly. If I can see they at least try I don't get upset. Not to mention there a plenty of times I'm the one screwing up and I doubt many can claim they have never been there.
This is a good attitude to have, thanks. As long as my teammates try in solo queue, that's all I care about. How good they are doesn't matter that much to me. On the flipside, when I play killer, I hate it when people quit on their team. It's embarrassing to down a guy quickly with Pig and then he rage DCs ruining the game for everyone because Pig OP plz nerf
-
If you're a semi-decent killer, you're going to get matched against majority SWF because solos can't push high MMR because they don't escape enough.
If you play solo survivor exclusively, you'll get primarily matched in full solo lobbies where you have less chance of escaping.
Of course this doesn't apply if you're a fog whisperer/big content creator cause BHVR did something to the matchmaking to deal with the DDOSing/hackers. Those players get fed a steady stream of complete babies to beat on while average killer players get the pleasure of playing with the 10k hour SWFs and bully squads
-
Why is it that coordinated SWF can literally break the game to the point that the game is unwinnable for the vast majority of killer players and that's considered okay because "YoU BaReLy RuN iNtO ThOsE TeAmS EvEr" but the same can't be said for a phenomenal Blight player? We have to nerf Blight now because of one guy?
-
Hmm... I wonder why people would choose to do that.
You can camp/tunnel to give yourself a greater chance of winning while having survivors be big sad at you OR you can play in a really nice 12 hook attempt way, have multiple survivors escape, and have those same survivors teabag you in the exit gate and tell you gg ez baby killer.
I know which one I would pick.
-
Leatherface/Plague - Fungoose
-
Groaning Storehouse is such survivor sided trash too
-
Clown - Pro Vengeance
Wraith - Hexy

All I remember about that map is how free it was for hag.
She's got RPD now. She's beastly on that map
-
I'm surprised they never re-skinned this map and just made it something else
-
They've never shown SWF escape rates, only made vague allusions to them. Hmm I wonder why
-
Cries about how being slugged on the ground for 4 minutes is boring
Also sits in exit gates for entire EGC to wait to teabag the killer
- survivors
-
The overreacting towards the Dead Hard nerf is extremely surprising to me. I was told that it never worked anyways, rarely provided value, and was extremely easy for all the killers to bait out. I'm shocked anyone even ran it to begin with given how bad it was
-
Okay, how about this one. Hear me out here.
She doesn't start with her drones, but they start placed around the maps. She can walk around, pick them up, and then place them wherever. If a survivor walks within a short range of the drones, they get trapped and stuck there briefly. They have to solve quick puzzles and button combos to get out. If they don't solve the puzzles before Skull Merchant comes to pick them up, they get grabbed out of the drone's zone and placed on a hook.
-
I don't understand why people are trying so hard to save this perk. It never provided any value, didn't work due to ping, and it was extremely easy to bait out in all situations. Can't figure out why anybody even used it to begin with!!!
-
Sure man let me just bait out 12 dead hards a game at pallets where I get screwed either way. or the fact that the perk made playing Demo, Trickster, Huntress, etc utterly unplayable on console

What are you talking about?
You go near them, they sprint away. How do you counter that?
AMAZING PLAYSSS!!!
Immediately drop chase and then come back 10 seconds later when they're back on the same gen? Works for me
-
Because more experienced killers know enough to dodge the lobby so the game spazzes out and puts any killer in the lobby. Wouldn't want to inconvenience the SWF bully squad by making them wait for a good Nurse, Blight, or Wesker
-
I don't get the appeal of trying to master Billy when he has so many things working against him. You could get better results just using Leatherface. I've watched survivor juicer videos where they're like "wow such a good Billy!!!" to some Hillbilly main that's trying to curve around everything and they usually get like 2 hooks a match against good survivors. That's sad
-
DS kept getting abused and used for offense or to troll the killer, so they changed it. It's too bad the survivors idea of playing to have fun involves trying to make the match as miserable as possible for the killer player, or more of these tools would have been left intact 🤷♀️
-
You can't draw any meaningful conclusions because the matchmaking is seriously all over the place during times where there is an abundance of survivors online. I'll get multiple p100s in a lobby and then the next game get complete babies. I'm talking specifically primetime in the evening when killer is at +100%
During the work day is when it's sweat city
-
The dining room window in the main building of that map. Also when the long wall jungle gym spawns with the window facing the shack window on Crotus Prenn. Absolutely disgusting
-
It took them forever to killswitch the Object exploit where it was 100% wallhacks at all time even while content creators were spreading it around
-
Garden of Joy is bugged? I'm still waiting for them to fix the bug of Shattered Safe Pallet spawning too many safe pallets
-
They might not have changed this if survivors hadn't abused it so much by laying on the ground in the exit gates so they could hit their DS and then teabag the hell out of the killer with their free escape

We lose to other strong/veteran players too. Why should a player with less experience than us feel entitled to win against us, regardless of the perks or "tactics" they apply?
I said nothing about that. I took issue with you trash talking players your team is beating despite the fact that you're playing on ez mode where the game actually breaks down completely because of SWF coordination and experience

Yes, we are. @edgarpoop explained it quite well in his reply:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3399880#Comment_3399880
The funny thing with this whole situation is that most actually good killers that I run against when playing with my swf run 1/2 slowdowns at most, but they're able to pressure the team at a whole different level. You don't see good nurses, blights or other strong killers with stacked slowdowns because they know that in most games it would just be a guaranteed stomp. Meanwhile, when we go against top tier killers with stacked slowdowns, we almost always get a 4 or 3 man escape, mostly because they usually just rely on those perks and don't really have an efficient macro gameplay.
I'm talking as someone with 4k hours, and usually I'm the one with the least amount of hours in the group I play with (with the average being 8k hours). We don't bring boons, we don't use DH or strong meta builds, yet...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1XIY11QJPURQ/image.png
The average game against "tryhard nurse/blight" goes like this, and other than the green medkit I wouldn't call anything excessively meta in our builds
The whole point being that killers excessively relying on slowdowns are way more common than survivors bringing a whole genrush build, and usually they're just bad players who can't pressure the game at a level required to win against a good team
Wow the game is easy when you play in a 4 man SWF of veteran players, what a startling revelation.
-
You don't need to report them, they're already punished by the DC timeout
-
Bullshit that a whiff is clearly a mistake. Try playing on console against 360s with poor sensitivity, deadzones, and auto aim. Bloodlust should stay in the game because the maps are so poorly designed that they tilt too far in the survivors favor. Look at Garden of Joy and Shattered Safe Pallet, two of the newest maps
-
Putting aside whether these were actual bully squads or not, I love how when killers complain about bullying or toxic behavior they get told to grow thicker skin, git gud, or get off the internet but when survivors cry about face camping, getting bled out or beat on the hook it's wahhhhh BHVR please do something make it so killers can't use their powers at hook, take away the Leatherface masks, give me basekit unbreakable so I can't get bled out!! Wahhhhhhhh
-
A bunch of killer mains on these forums can 12 hook comp teams with Clown no add ons without gen regression. They also never get slapped with Dead Hard, they wait it out every time. Any killer that ever tunnels needs to git gud!!
-
It makes no sense to me other than just pandering to survivors as usual. The HUD obviously boosted escape rates for survivor or the devs wouldn't have even tried these changes. For them to go back to very weak nerfs while gen regression got nerfed hard is just going to drop kill rates even further
-
The matchmaking just makes no damn sense in this game. Streamers like Tofu and ScottJund get fed a steady diet of complete babies to slaughter live on Twitch while almost every lobby for me includes multiple p100s, juiced items, and shattered square/farm/garden of joy offerings
-
If you're on PC, get really good at Nurse and slug all 4 survivors on the ground and bleed them out for the entire 4 minutes. Hook them at the last second then Otz tech them on the hook until they're sacrificed while nodding and spinning in circles. If you're on console, play Bubba and hard face camp while nodding your head and beating them like on a pinata on the hook
-
Basement Bubba is hilarious
-
They'll nerf Deadlock once everyone starts using it
-
The only people that will use them are people that don't read patch notes. You'll be able to solo repair a gen in 40 seconds though
-
Who cares if the perk was nerfed, the perk sucked, never gave any value anyways, and was super easy to counter
-
When the new patch goes live, killers will have little to no gen defense while a survivor soloing a gen in 40 seconds will still be a thing
-
Yeah people are seriously underestimating how fast the gens are going to go with Call of Brine neutered
-
That's literally why they changed it because survivors just stacked endurance and abused it
-
Pulsar is the ScottJund of the forums. He's the cool killer main that wants to make sure all the survivors have a really fun time. He beats comp teams with Clown no perks/add ons so anyone who has anything to say about balance just needs to git gud and eat, sleep, and breathe DbD
-

Yeah first step this to revert that horrible stun on successful Victor down they added. Makes them feel bad to play and was unwarranted. Then fix taking Victor hostage, that shouldn’t be a thing.
It's a good thing if they take Victor hostage, it makes it a 3v1 which massively favors the killer

The worst problem for me is Macmillan Estate and other permutations of it. You easily could shave off 50% of this map. When I see a bone offering I know the match will be awful.
This. The sweatiest of sweat squads burn MacMillan. Those maps aren't really balanced well at all lol. Suffocation pit has a very strong building with an absurdly strong middle, Groaning Storehouse has god loops in the main building, a ton of safe pallets, and generators miles apart, ironworks if they have a boon you have to leave up all game in the main building etc.

@Remedicist said:
If you pull them out of the locker, you can't be blinded. However, if you grab them out of the locker, you can be blinded. The difference is whether you did the open locker animation or the grab survivor animation.
Thanks for the explanation
-
Lol they'll never add this. Survivors love to FoV tech and 360 and that would cut that down. Wouldn't want to ruin survivor fun
-
Who cares what killer main streamers say, most of them are getting fed a steady stream of complete babies from the matchmaking system. It's incredible that pc killer main streamers with 8,000 hours are getting matched with players that routinely run into walls while every time I load into a lobby as a console player i get multiple p100s, 4 mans, super sweaty teams
