I do run Kindred on all of my survivors since I do feel it’s immensely useful for solo survivors (which I am).
As another solo survivor, Kindred is pretty much in every build of mine. It's gotten to the point where I get frustrated if I'm not running it because I cant see which way the killer is headed after hooking someone...lol

Personally my standards for GG is if it was a fair match.
No BMing, everyone was playing well, both of us doing our objectives, just having fun in general.
I don't say GG if I didn't have a good game, obviously.
I always say GG, even when I play like garbage. I look at it like I was back in Little League (a long time ago btw) when both teams would line up and slap hands at the end to show good sportsmanship. When I say GG and get salt back in return, I know I am talking to the kid who used to spit in his hand before slapping hands with the other team...lol

That's nice, I have a couple of friends who are also like that.
Though I doubt we're the majority here... Given how this community has a reputation for being toxic.
The toxicity is what we were all afraid of when we brought him into the game. Fortunately he's got tough skin anyway.
-
My friend just got "hooked" (his words, not mine) on DBD and was actually commenting on how supportive the survivors have been as he's learning to play killer. He's still getting matched with red ranked survivors, but they have been very supportive when they see his brown rank.

I highly doubt it was 10-15 seconds. But it sounds better than "I took 2 minutes for my first down".
But I 100% agree that Survivors should not spawn together. Even tho, this might make it worse for the Killer since doing multiple Gens separately is better than hopping on a Gen with multiple people.
Yeah, I cant count the number of times where a group of us spawn around the same gen and complete it while the killer chases the one survivor who didnt spawn with us.

Why can't generator skillchecks open a tab with questions regarding engine repair and force you to correctly answer one before allowing you to tab back?
Healing can do the same but linked to a medical site for proper treatment of slashes and deep cuts!
Considering a lot of people barely know where to put gas in their cars, questions on engine repair would definitely solve the gen repair speed issue...LOL

If survivors honed their skills all the way to red ranks, then can you "skilled people" please stop missing healing skill checks and stabbing me in the ass over and over again and revealing our position to the killer? Thanks.
Seriously, I don't know how people miss the healing skill checks all the time in red ranks. The bloody thing takes up nearly 1/3rd of the skill check bubble.
Haha! Hit it right on the head! I had a Laurie in an earlier match who failed two healing skill checks when the killer was right around the corner, bringing him to us both times. At the end of the match, I expected green or yellow ranks and the Laurie turned out to be in the high reds...lol

The Rift could probably be only 50 tiers if they just removed all the useless charms that no one wants from it, or stacked them with other rewards.

I actually do like the pizza charm, but not as much as I like the Legion mask...lol.
-
After seeing the minimal rewards available in the free track of this rift, I really am not very motivated to complete rift challenges this time around. I fully understand that you need to incentivize people to pay for the premium track, but aside from a couple cosmetics, the free track has mostly charms which dont appeal to me at all. Just seems a little unbalanced.

@MrDardon do you remember which map? I'm just curious if it's related to the map changes.

you did see the film where he full on ripped apart everyone inside a club, some of those people was just drinking... and i know alot of licensed are wanted but these films are so original and at the start of horror and i mean hooks are in so many of the films to kill people too, seems a good match to me, i just want some horror and gore put into the game in the next chapter
Yeah, but we dont talk about Hellraiser 3....its not a very good movie....lol

So the spirit has a passive phase ability and people who play spirit probably forget it even exists since you don’t know when it activates, so why not give us the option to activate it whenever we want ?
Her passive phase is mostly useless because you don’t know when it works, but it does confuse survivors sometimes.
it would be on a short cooldown like 5 or 10 seconds and also rework her passive phase add ons so they can finally get some use.
this would give the player more control of the character’s ability to actually benefit from it.
what do you think ?
Spirit is fine right where she is now. They took away collision while phasing and nerfed prayer beads. The devs can focus on another killer (LF or clown maybe) who is definitely in need of some love.

@ZFennecFox said:
I always go for the one who unhooked, I will smack the survivor down if they get in my way and leave them to the other 2 teammates that are hiding nearby.
Anyway you are completely with in your own right to play this game however you see fit so long as you don't cheat.
Assuming they dont DC once they get hit. I cant tell you how many times the recently unhooked person (presumably with DS) runs right at me and gets knocked to the ground as I continue to chase the unhooker, only to immediately DC.

I have become an Oni main and absolutely love playing him. There's something awesome about that yell that he makes when activating his power that just gets me pumped up....and the oh @#$! moment the survivors have when you are barreling towards them! Sadly, I think I've only come across one Oni recently and the killer was just learning how to play him.
-
One killer perk and its Bloodhound. *sigh* I'd definitely have to agree that isn't even close to being a fair matchup.

That was always my assumption too.
Why even bother to have a report system after the game if you need video proof to demonstrate that they were doing something reportable? I can't imagine that they are completely blind and have now way to look at any kind of game logs or some kind of information/data from the game that could collaborate your reporting...
Especially with dedicated servers now.

That is a good point, what I meant was I don't like The Hag or Spirit because I find them as boring characters to play as (and sometimes against, depends if I'm really brave or not cx). They do scare me sometimes. They scare me the most compared to the other killers.
Just checking. :)
-
Got it. I was thinking of something more like "LJ tech" (Leroy Jenkins tech) where you just rush in and save without any concern for what will happen to the team....lol
-
@Clevite said:
Cj tech?
that was going to be my next question.

@Elena said:
I play both sides, but the killers I find the most boring to play as and go up against are Freddy, Hag, Nurse and Spirit. Any other killer is fine with me, I would rather face a Legion than these 4 killers.
Hag and Spirit make me want to sh*t my pants
Freddy is just 🤮
Nurse I don't really care about.
So whenever I get a game with these 4 I just start feeling really bored.
How do you say Hag and Spirit are boring when in the same post you say that "Hag and Spirit make me @#$% my pants"? Seems to me that would be the opposite of boring (unless you are in the habit of @#$% your pants alot).

If you are a solo survivor and aren’t using one of these perks you’re missing out, they really make you realize how ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LITTLE some people do. I’m talking people crouching to hide or following behind you with no flashlight and the killer during an entire two minute chase.
Or one teammate crouched 4 meters from a hooked player until the killer frees literally across the map before making the save.
Players staying in lockers for way longer than needed to hide from BBQ, I’m talking 10-15 seconds or more.
Players urban evading from basically the start of the game hoping for hatch.
Then to no one’s surprise, but their own maybe, these guys get like 3k points. I’ve actually seen a player escape hatch (7K) and still get less than 8000 total points wow.
I really like the info but I may drop using Bond for my sanity.
Agreed 100%. As a solo survivor, I use Kindred in most of my builds. However, hanging on a hook and watching people creep around the map or run away from me to heal in a corner makes me wish I didnt know what they were doing...lol
-
I will say that Rusty Shackles is one of my least favorite add-ons to go against. Without the notification, I never know if I actually set off a trap until the Hag suddenly appears behind me...lol! I have probably jumped out of my seat a time or two because of it.

I mean I just think of it as an escape cake, or at least I try to, just a slightly more expensive one. The thing is it literally feels like it's cursed when I bring it. I can't remember the last time I brought a BPS and didn't have somebody tunnel or camp me or had people disconnect or kill themselves on hook. I just don't get what it is about BPS that makes the games go like that.
I think it's the same kind of people who would work with the killer to ruin another survivor's match. You just can't fix some people.
-
Haha...I also just noticed that Rizzo "updated" my title.

@Huff said:

You just always have to expect it.
I just announced in chat and had multiple people confirm they saw, that I was bringing BPS into a game. One of my team mates leads the killer to me, at the start of the game, for my first hook in the corner of the map. Then two of them come over at once and the *only one* without BT unhooked me, with the killer right on her tail. I then get tunneled and picked back up for the same hook, twice in a row. Then my team does another save with the killer not far away, who of course comes right on back and hits me right back down on the ground. I then lie there trying to recover with my team mates insisting on swarming me like flies trying to heal me as I just got knocked back down, instead of trying to get the killer away from me. I finally reached about half my bleedout bar before he finally picked me up for a 3rd time, and ended my game.
I got 3k BP for bringing a bloody party streamer.
That's why I rarely bring in BPS and settle instead for escape cakes. I hate giving people free BP's only to have them screw me over like that.
-
I would have to agree with everyone who said it's a killer-sided map. There are certain killers that make me feel like I am always in their terror radius, but can't pinpoint where they actually are. Yeah, there are a lot of beneficial pallets placed all over the map, but when i play the Game as a survivor, i typically feel constantly on edge.

Lmao that's videos gold, please tell us you recorded it. Like imagine if it had worked perfectly and you hadn't noticed and he teleported right behind you, lol they're dicks but this is hilarious
The funniest part was, after all the gens I did, the survivor rescues I made, and the long chase before I was caught, I almost DOUBLE-PIPPED! lol
-
@Carpemortum I can say 100% that no one put that over the chat because my chat was open. Regardless, who chases another survivor and blocks their escape so they get downed? I wish I could have taken those hatchets out of the locker myself and buried them in the heads of my "teammates" LOL

Which is a good bit of the time at higher ranks where survivors arent boosted potatoes. When true high rank survivors are all solo, it doesnt matter, because they pay attention and dont hook rush, etc.
SWF isnt "the same" as solo, at all, but just being SWF isnt what makes you good.
Agree 100%! I was just telling a friend how much more fun I have as a red rank survivor because people know what they need to do to win and they tend to do it very efficiently.
-

That and you only have to FINISH the gen. It can be 90% when you walk up if you touch it to finish. Just watch teammates, make sure someone else is chased. Hell I used bond to make sure I knew who was and wasnt on a gen when I went by. Started us all together too.
Exactly! I purposefully listened for loud gens that were already progressed.
-
I can't recall the last time I saw a legacy skin on a killer. Most of the survivor ones I come across are usually Megs.
-
I will say though that when a group of solos manages to get their act together and plays efficiently, the quad escape feels pretty sweet....
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
"Complete 4 generators while using the perk Dark Sense" yeah, uh, not gonna happen outside of a fully coordinated SWF squad, which a killer is gonna SWEAT ALL OVER.
"2 kills in ECG with NoED" so I'm just gonna lower my standards, and let people do their objective outside of a farming match. Great.
"Sacrifice 4 people in the basement. Must be done in the same match." So, lots of survivors will just DC when they see a basement. You'll also have to basically camp it, and people, myself included even as killer, despise doing that.
This is why I put forward the idea to skip the challenges for a cost and not receive any rewards.
The 4 gens with Dark Sense challenge was actually much easier than I thought it would be....I got it on my first attempt and I only play solo. You just need to focus on rushing gens and bringing other perks like Prove Thyself to make the gens go faster with the help of others. Dont worry about hook rescues until you have the 4 gens done.

Without video proof, nothing will happen.
Sadly, you will meet such groups from time to time. At least it happens to me less than once a month. It's pretty much the only time I wish I was allowed to dc without consequences.
First time I've ever seen that level of stupidity. Had I realized what was about to happen, i would have left them on the ground to bleed out! LOL

Ever consider that the one with no key-addons found it during the match?
Sure...for about 2 seconds. Then I remembered that items you find during the Match dont show up as items brought in during the match scoreboard. C'mon man. That is DBD 101.
-
@Kwikwitted said:
Well first thing I would laugh at them for burning two red keys when you only need one for the group, apparently coordinating in their pre-lobby was too hard.
But seriously.
First, realize that it can always happen like that, bad games are part of the deal, particularly as killer where there is no safety net if you aren't at your best. I get my butt kicked at Rank 1 at least once a day by really good survivors, and I make a bunch of mistakes and I wanna blame everything under the sun except what was actually to blame (my own bad play of course).
Second, try to pick up at least one or two things you could improve on for the next match, did any chases go longer than they should have, did you patrol generators in a way that was efficient? What about your perks? Did you get a lot of value from them? If not, what should you swap out and what for? Would consulting a guide be worthwhile?
Best of luck in the fog.
Yep..first thing I thought was "two keys?!?" LOL
