I think that he only needs buffs, not necessarily a rework. A rework is something that requires several changes to the power of a killer including the addition of a new ability.
He needs buffs like being able to hold one extra trap at base, or a set time of 10 seconds when someone steps in a trap. Now that I think of it, why did the devs not even give him a set time for survivors to get out of a trap?
I think he needs a rework, since his kit is pretty unfun to go against. You just gotta stare at the ground constantly while in a chase and if he has tar bottle, you need to constantly guess where a trap could be based on nothing.

If you're only thinking about perks, go for Yui. As much as I love Kate, her perks are all useless garbage. Windows of opportunity is only good if you're new or if you're on an indoor map, and even then it has a really unnecessary cooldown. Dance with me is like lithe in that you don't have that much control over when you use it, and even when you use it to its full potential the benefit is rarely actually effective. Boil Over is just completely and utterly useless, there is never a situation where bringing the perk is worthwhile unless the killer is bad and doesn't move sideways to counter it.
On the other hand, Yui's perks are pretty decent. Lucky break is situational and only works when you have iron will or you're playing a relatively quiet survivor (Ace, Kate, Cheryl, Zarina) but when it works it is very worth it, The perk also requires you to be going against a killer that actually tracks using blood trails, so using it at low ranks wont get much use. Breakout is pretty similar to lucky break, it only really works with sabo/a toolbox and requires there to be enough distance between the killer and the nearest hook, but when it works the value is pretty big. Any Means necessary is also pretty situational but it's pretty easy to use and gives good value when you get use out of it.
If you plan on actually playing the survivors outside of getting their perks, I recommend Kate. She's the quietest female survivor in the game when injured, and has pretty good cosmetics for immersion. Yui is really loud and has no blendy cosmetics. In terms of style, both are pretty good choices. Kate's best cosmetics are the mountain climber set, the biker outfit, the ripped pants from her green rarity outfits, and the torsos from the 2006 britney outfit and the awful mangy pigtails outfit. Her default hair recolors are also pretty good and the stuff she's gotten from the rift is also really good if you've bought the rift pass consistently and don't feel like spending extra money. Her default recolors are also pretty good. Kate's outfits are more muted color wise. If you prefer neon outfits, then yui's got you covered. I don't play Yui a whole lot so I can't give a very detailed rundown of her cosmetics like I did kate's but she's got quite a few good outfits and her new rift stuff is also pretty nice.
Hope all that helped!

Ummm.... hrm. I'm not sure how to respond to this in a kind, gentle way. So I'll point out a few things to you:
- Killers aren't the ones seriously put out when you disconnect; it is the other Survivors you screw over.
- The game doesn't provide fun, only a framework. You are responsible for your own fun.
- If you have been getting disconnected a great deal, and getting penalties, you DESERVE them.
Where do all you entitled, spoiled people come from? I'm sure you don't behave like this in person. Is it the computer interface that makes you think everyone you are dealing with online is a Bot or simply doesn't matter? Let me put this in perspective for you. It doesn't matter WHY you are getting disconnected, whether it is intentional or some external problem. The fact is you insist on playing when you know there is an issue and you are inconveniencing other people. Then you have the audacity to complain about being penalized for doing it?
Idk about the "you are responsible or your own fun" bit, the way I see it is if it's an iri head huntress or spirit in general, no one was going to have fun anyways so leaving the match wouldnt do a whole lot.
-
Trapper, hag, Freddy. Slinger and spirit are awful but at least you can sometimes guess and be right.

can someone explain why DS should be deactivated at the end game? DS is supposed to prevent tunneling right, and regardless of its in the beginning or end of the game tunneling is tunneling. How is it fair for the survivor to be tunnled at the end game?
tunneling is when you ignore all other objectives just to kill one survivor. The issue with the endgame is that the killer has no other objectives left to defend. All the gens are completed and more often than not the gates are already 99'd. Because of this, tunneling during the endgame is completely justified.
-
@Xzan said:
Does it deactivate during endgame? Otherwise it's just a free escape then.
I think it should deactivate during the endgame, you can't be tunneling the survivor if they're your only objective left to defend

I don't care about the overheat, all I want is the old billy animations back. I hate being forced to look at the floor every ten seconds
-
I really don't want more perks that mess with sound, sound is broken enough as is.

A Nurse's Calling:
Anyone who is being healed within 20/24/28 meters of you will be afflicted with the Haemorrhage and the Blindness status effect for 30/35/40 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 50/45/40 seconds.
Monitor & Abuse
After being in a chase for 60/50/40 seconds, your terror radius will be decreased by 4 metres for the next 20/25/30 seconds you are not in a chase. After this effect ends, the perk will go on cooldown for 60/55/50 seconds and cannot be recharged until the cooldown ends.
Bond
After performing cooperative actions for 30/25/20 seconds, the auras of the teammate(s) you performed cooperative actions with will be revealed to you within a range of 10/15/20 metres for 10/15/20 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 50/45/40 seconds and cannot be recharged until the cooldown ends.
Iron Will
After healing your teammates for the equivalent of 3/2/1 health states, the next time you are injured your grunts of pain will be reduced by 50/75/100 % for 30 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 50/45/40 seconds and cannot be recharged until the cooldown ends.
-
I'd say limit the amount of second chance perks you can have for survivor (count dead hard as a second chance perk, please) and limit the amount of slowdown perks on killer. other than those two categories, no other perks need limiting

Not entirely sure didn't get her lore bits and the backstory through info doesnt explain much. Though I believe she agreed to work for the entity if she could hack her father apart like she was. I think she might have had the soul strength to be a ghost but not one that could directly murder people, plus she'd only target her father originally. Might have to check the wiki for a bit more detail but I doubt it.
I think she would at least be able to kill people, if she is strong enough to become an onryo.
The power to use the abilities of Onryo. Variation of Ghost Physiology. User with this ability either is or can transform into an Onryō, a spirit from Japanese folklore who is able to return to the physical world in order to seek vengeance using the spiritual powers they gain after death. -

Tell that to the snowflakes who would makes those accusations.
In my time here I have yet to see anyone complain about something that stupid. And if you don't like "the snowflakes" that much, then why are you pandering to them? Most normal people won't complain about something dumb like that and so it won't be an issue with the majority of the community.

Kate Denson
Boil Over - Kate Denson is described as a person who is very kind to her friends and very angry to her enemies. Boil Over is Kate Denson being so angry that someone would dare hurt her and her friends that she fights extra hard even after being critically injured.
Vigil - Kate Denson was chosen by the entity due to her outstanding ability to inspire and lift the spirits of everyone she meets. Vigil is Kate Denson's kind nature helping her friends feel better and recover faster
Breakout - Same reasoning as Vigil. Kate's power to help others inspires them to fight for their lives, and Kate's need to help them inspires her to run a bit faster to get in the way.
Decisive Strike / No One Left Behind - This is split between Kate helping her friends or fighting her enemies. Decisive Strike would be Boil Over part 2: Bigger and Badder. Kate isn't being strategic, she is so angry at the killer hurting her over and over that she not only fights harder but she stabs the killer with all her strength and hope of escape. No One Left Behind is Kate's more altruistic side showing through, seeing the end of the trial in sight motivates her to be more efficient and do everything she can to help her friends escape.

As survivor, Freddy and Doctor. I don't have much problem with doctor, he's not overpowered, I just hate his creepy excited breathing when he downs you and picks you up. Freddy on the other hand, I despise. Usually I'm against teabagging and bm in general, but I have no problem doing any of that versus a Freddy. Maybe if they wanted me to respect them they should've played a character that takes actual skill to win with. Bonus bm points if he has NOED or Bamboozle.
As killer I don't really have a nemesis, I've seen every survivor be both the cutest thing ever and a toxic little #########. But the thing I see the most out of every survivor is just them being stupid. I've seen every survivor make incredibly questionable decisions while in a chase at least once. So I don't really hate anyone.
-
Great, so remove or rework all of the perks/items you mentioned above. No single perk should have as huge an impact on the game as dead hard, decisive strike, noed, or adrenaline. It's infuriating to lose because your opponents brought a certain perk and not because they're better players than you.
-
I really like Better Together, It's a really nice perk to have when I get tired of Kindred or Bond. The most useful part of it by far is that when a survivor is downed while you're working on a gen you get to see your teammates auras at an unlimited range for 10 seconds. You can tell if someone's going to be slugged or if someone else is already going for the rescue.

Killing yourself on hook isn’t bannable (unless it’s considered griefing??)
I too dislike The Spirit and her so called MiNdGaMeS. Once you’re injured you are finished, doesn’t help that most of them run Stridor either, which counters iron will.
I hate spirit players who run stridor. It's like running bamboozle on Freddy. You have a strong, viable killer but you don't have enough skill to deal with even the slightest counterplay so you remove it and collect your free wins.
-
Most F tier perks do something somewhat useful, monstrous shrine could be helpful in an extremely niche scenario. However, there is no situation where Furtive Chase would be useful. I tried using it for the hooking your obsession challenge since I didn't have nemesis. Furtive chase is a useless waste of time and I have no idea why it was even a perk to begin with. If you want to change your obsession just run Nemesis.

When the killer gives up, I escape the chase, or if I ran the killer around for at least one gen while efficiently using my resources.

Badham. I'm just sick of that map and I wish there was a system that prevented you from getting the same map so many times in a row

My first two were the Spirit and Nea. I also have Kate Denson, Feng Min and the Pig at P3
-
Not really related to any current licensed characters or horror in general, but I'd really like to see Faith Connors from Mirror's Edge.
I don't really know who the skin would be for, maybe Feng Min because of Lithe or Nea Karlsson because of Balanced Landing. She's one of my favorite video game characters and I think she'd be a really cool character to see in the game.

Exactly but they should get new identities otherwise the snowflakes would cry about ''whitewash'' and ''blackface''
Why? Legendary skins are supposed to completely change the character's identity and voice. How would it be whitewashing/blackface?
-
I'd hate going up against Ds, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, Adrenaline and Dead hard all at the same time.
-
I don't like Clown, Deathslinger and Freddy because I don't even get a chance to outplay them. I have no time to react against deathslinger and just throw down every pallet like a rank 20 versus Freddy and Clown. I also don't like Freddy because he's just so powerful for how brainlessly easy he is to play. You get free map teleport, massive dream snares that are almost impossible to misuse, and a free sleep timer that requires no input from the Freddy player. If Freddy took more skill like Huntress or Nurse then I would be fine getting outplayed by him. But as of right now getting "outplayed" by Freddy feels more like I got outplayed by his power and not the person controlling it.

...you know, that just gave me the simplest idea.
Disable collision when AFK crows are active. Done. Bodyblocking issue solved.
Maybe after a survivor doesn't move for 30 seconds they lose collision with the killer and their teammates for 10 seconds
-
The buff helps him, but nothing can really save clown aside from reworking him. His power is just boring by design, and I know that what's boring is subjective but I think people can agree that it's not fun to have your movement speed slowed. He needs a drastic change to make his power require skill based gameplay to use properly and to counter, because right now playing as and especially against clown leaves no room for mindgames or looping.
-
I think you should be able to go to the basement and see a physical version of the addons that the killer is using
-
Wow, you can play against those offerings? For some reason whenever a survivor plays a Haddonfield or Ormond offering my game just crashes.
-
The Pig is scammed with reverse bear traps in general. Someone dies to your power? You get no deviousness points and only 500 sacrifice points. A mori gives you 1000 sacrifice points and a mori is miles easier to get a kill with than an RBT. I'm tired of getting entity displeased with a 2k or 3k just because someone died to my RBT.
-
Better together is a nice perk, I use it and it isn't as good as bond, but it's nice. Both of your ideas would help make the perk better and I would like to see them implemented

The only good change I've seen is to make it so everyone must be hooked at least once before you can Mori. That prevents immediate tunneling to death (something I disagree with) while also keeping the Mori relatively strong and not gimped like Nurse.
And what I'm saying is that mori's shouldn't be strong. The only point of them should be to see the cool animation. If you don't want to see the animation then don't bring them in. Using a mori shouldn't be a viable strategy.

I'm pretty sure some of the older characters will get tweaks to bring them up to par with our most recent survivors such as Steve, Nancy, Zarina, Cheryl, new Bill, etc. The original six and then Quentin really need it the most though.
Yeah, Meg has a permanent look of extreme confusion on her face and it looks ridiculous. Nea's face is fine, she's just scowling all the time. If you look at her you can tell the designers did their research, she looks like an actual Swedish person. Laurie looks pretty bad, plus her, Nea and Min need some physics for their super stiff hairdos. In addition to the characters you mentioned, I think Adam and Kate could use a few face touchups. Kate's mouth looks like she has no lips and I have no idea why they made it half open all the time. Adam just looks messy.
-
Boring is a matter of opinion, but it's pretty widely agreed on that having your movement speed slowed isn't fun. So give Freddy a power that doesn't involve slowing your movement speed or give him skillful counterplay. (I say skillful because throwing down every pallet like a rank 20 is not skillful or fun)

I disagree. The animations can be cool and all but the longer they take the worse they are.
The entire point of bringing in a Mori is to be able to eliminate survivors faster. If it becomes weaker or only for an animation (that is a debilitation mind you) then it'll be pointless to use them. Worthless 90% of the time.
@elvangulley said:

That would make them worthless and you ate not entitled to escape or talk about killer ranks when survivors live off of comms to boost themselves into higher ranks.
And as I said before, the point of moris is to show off the cool killing animation and not to give you an advantage. If you want to see the killing animation, bring a mori. Otherwise the ability to kill survivors on their second hook is way too strong. We are not entitled to escape, but you are not entitled to kill. If you need to use a mori to get kills, then you are bad and you need to play better.

How?
This map sucks for everyone but stealth killers.
And as a survivor, finding gens is sometimes really annoying on this map.Finding totems on this map is really hard because most of them are so well hidden. And finding decent loops on this map is also pretty hard except a few spots.
Finding totems on Lery's is hard because there are so many places a totem could be compared to maps like gas heaven. In gas heacen, you check all the tiles, the rocks, the main building, the shack and the stacks of cars. On Lery's, you look in every single room and hallway, and you might not even find it because on top of that they're very well hidden.

The thing is, the higher the numbers the harder the crash. We have seen that from br games when they were the most popular games and out of the sudden it took just another similiar game doing a better job and they nearly died out.
This could happen to dbd at anytime, we simply don't know what is about to get released around a corner to compete against bhvr. What I find worrying is how easy bhvr is taking it. Like, it feels to me as if they don't even consider competitors
Why do you think those br games crashed and burned? because they weren't very good games. A game can be popular without an inevitable "crash and burn." Just look at GTA, or LoL or Overwatch. As long as the devs continue to give their best effort into making their game as good as it can be, they'll do fine.
-
The entire purpose of moris was to implement a cool killing animation for each killer into the game. The purpose of moris was not to give you an advantage. Now that we have perks like Rancor and Devour Hope, I don't see a purpose for moris in the game. And if we delete moris, then killer rank will be more accurate since some killers won't be boosted by overpowered offerings. Moris are annoying, because they unfairly rob you of your chances to escape. There are lots of times I would've escaped a trial if not for a killer's Ebony Mori. If Mori offerings were to stay in the game, then they should only let you kill people on death hook to keep the imbalance to a minimum.

XD, once saw a review of her DLC that said (Ima find it):
'Sexy killer wearing just some wraps....
Although she's falling apart a bit, but still is a MUST BUY.
Small price to pay for boobies in DbD'.
Had me concerned.
What's also concerning is that the spirit has breast physics even though she's wearing a sarashi. The whole point of a sarashi is to bind your chest so that your breasts don't get in the way. It makes no sense.
-
Favorite:
The Spirit has a lot of good cosmetics, but the bandages on her hand and the floating shoulder pads really make this cosmetic for me. It looks so cool, and it goes well with the Haru Damashi head since the oni hair one looks like toilet paper.
Least favorite:
Kate usually has good cosmetics, but this one is god awful. It was a decent idea but it was executed horribly. Her pigtails look like matted dead rodents or severed cat tails tied to her scalp. Her bangs are terribly done and go way too far back, making her look balding. The designers also thought it would be a good idea to give her a lip tint very similar to her skin tone, so unless you're looking at it up close it looks like she doesn't have lips. This is an awful cosmetic and it needs to be redone, I like the idea of Kate in pigtails. These ones just look more like cat tails than pigtails.

No, she's a zombie corpse who's missing three limbs. I'm more concerned about people who think she's sexual.
-
Using lockers is just not a good idea. Why be invisible in a locker when you can be invisible in a bush? If you're found you only lose a health state instead of being instantly downed. Lockers are just terrible.

I'm really excited for the Yamaoka Estate, say what you want about the map layout but visually it's one of the best maps in the game. I'm especially interested with what they'll do with the arbor and the bridge near it, it's one of my favorite structures in the whole realm.

I like running creative builds, then I go up against a crack billy or spirit with duration addons and switch back to the meta. I want to have fun, but if the killer wants to be op then I'll be op too.

The man he's based on, Yang Yongxin, started practicing around the mid-2000s, and does so to this day as far as I'm aware. It's possible that the character could be from an earlier time, of course, although I have heard that the Doctor was originally supposed to be Yang Yongxin but they couldn't do that for legal reasons.
I just googled this man and Jesus Christ. The fact that this went on for so long unnoticed and was so brutal is terrifying.

Stridor on spirit is like running bamboozle. Admitting you don't have skill and don't want to deal with pesky counterplay. It's so dumb and needs to be fixed somehow, it's an incredibly cheap perk on her.
