Does anybody else remember why everyone said it was Candyman? Oh right, because an actor from the Candyman series followed Dead by Daylight on Twitter. We really know how to blow things out of proportion.

Funny our 3 man swf is myself, my wife and our daughter. I don't think it is possible to be less toxic than us.
Not to mention we always take care of our randos and will go back in to make sure they get out, even if it means one of us will die.
We appreciate good teammates.
Wow, it must be great to have a family that also likes playing video games.
-
Sometimes if a killer leaves a lobby of four survivors and a new killer joins I'll get scared of a mori or iri head because the killer would think we're a four man SWF.

Yes, that is what I mean when I say it's intended.
I think the co-op repair colour trumps Prove Thyself.
Before the co-op nerf from 10% to 15%, the bar was grey with prove thyself
-
@DelsKibara said:
Pretty sure it's intended. If you're working at a generator with another Survivor, the both of you are given a penalty to your repair effectiveness so instead of 1 charge per tick (a tick being 1 second and a generator takes 80 charges to complete), it becomes 0.85 charges/s with 2 survivors, 0.7 with 3, and 0.55 with all 4. So that is why they show up as Red. Because you are slowed down when repairing the generator together.
He's talking about the perk Prove Thyself still showing the red bar with two survivors working on it, since the perk is supposed to undo the repair penalty for two survivors

It does, I've had it work in my favour before on maps with a lot of LOS blockers, like The Game or Lery's, where the killers rely more on being able to see hook auras. That's the strongest part of Boil Over. The increased wiggling effect is fairly useless against all but the newest of killers, because most will be able to easily adapt their movements to compensate so they won't keep running into walls.
That's not to say that Boil Over is a great perk, I wouldn't advise bringing it in most situations, but it's not entirely useless.
Adept Kate on indoor maps is way better than Adept Kate on all other maps. Her perks are ten times more useful on Lery's or Hawkin's

I wish, I love the concept of this perk, but I don't have it haha
It's a lot of fun when it works, but since I prestiged Min I can't find it on my bloodweb anymore T-T
-
The canon says no, but here's my idea: Sally was a survivor in real life. She worked at an insane asylum for 20 years with no real friends or loved ones to talk to, like the survivors in the entity's realm. After 20 years of living the same nightmare over and over every day she snapped and became a killer, murdering everyone indiscriminately. She viewed it as saving them from the living hell that was the asylum, she didn't want anyone else to go through what she went through. After she snapped and didn't want to be a survivor anymore, the entity collected her to become a killer.
-
From what I've read it seems like the most toxic survivors are the most popular ones.
Also personally my least favorite killer is Freddy, his kit is too powerful for how brain dead his gameplay is. It still feels bad when I die to a really good Nurse or Huntress but at least I feel like they deserved to kill me, that they won because of their own skill and not because their character's kit carried them. 90% of the time Freddy players don't understand basic looping or mindgames, but they don't have to due to how easy and good his power is. It's just place a snare, break pallet/collect free hit, and repeat at the next loop. And even if you can outrun him you fall asleep anyway after 60 seconds so you can't outskill him.
-
With more Legion and Huntress in play Autodidact could actually become meta

"Life has taught you the importance of friendship"
I don't what kind of friendship you can develop with the killer that lets you stay more on the hook while spamming buttons to stay alive. But i'm sure it's not a healthy one.
The whole point of the name and the perk is to have 2 survivors help each other, hence the name "camaraderie"
"You remember your friends and refuse to die"
-
Otzdarva's camping experiment concluded with him saying camping was too strong. His suggestion was that as long as the killer is within x meters of a survivor and is not in a chase for x amount of time, all the other survivors would get a massive boost to generator repair speeds. I like this idea because it keeps camping during the endgame as a valid strategy. I also think that you shouldn't lose emblem progress for camping once all of the gens are finished, since there are no other objectives left to defend except for the hooked survivor.

There are at least 10 tiers in the rift that are just charms, they should just put those in the free track and get rid of 10 tiers for the whole rift or recolor more skins to take their place.

Spirit recolor too, doesn't make sense that we're also getting feng min and spirit in this rift when they were literally in the last rift with good skins.
To be fair the spirit recolor looks amazing. The new wakizashi is my new favorite blade for spirit hands down and her bloody cherry blossoms are works of art

I would love a Huntress plushie, that would be adorable

@DelsKibara said:
Isn't Huntress' hatchets more of a hitscan rather than an actual hitbox?
A hitbox would be something like Deathslilnger's projectile. it needs to connect with the Survivor to land a hit. But Huntress' hitscan is much larger than the model. It's the same reason why people think Freddy has a longer lunge than he actually has.
Oh god, imagine Huntress being hitscan.
-
Scott Jund mains Oni and Huntress right now
-
That's what it's supposed to do, even though it does an awful job as an anti tunnel perk. When a good survivor has DS they can actually outrun the 60 second timer which ends in them getting downed with no defenses against tunneling. Because of that, people have started forcing DS with lockers so they can actually use their anti tunnel perk to not get tunneled. DS is horribly designed.

It just makes sense that after learning Japanese he would also learn bits of other Asian languages, especially since he's a teacher

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of chosing moris as a customization option, but I'd rather see older moris just get changed up. Excluding Huntress...leave her mori alone.
No, they need to reverse the order of actions in her mori. Start with the chest hacking and end with the head splat, not the other way around

If I was a survivor a skull nipping my fingers like that would scare the living daylights out of me
-
If they're the only survivor I can find, I'm going to hook them. I'm sorry that your teammates hid after unhooking you and I'm sorry that you got tunneled but I'm not just going to ignore you.
-
I'd imagine that Adam would have some knowledge of Chinese. Other than him though, she really would be lonely. She can't even explain to people that her first name is Min and last name Feng, and that "Feng" is actually pronounced "Fung."

I would pay real money to hear Spirit laugh like waluigi

I'd love Carrie. That movie is just such a classic, but how they'd implement it? No clue. If we get IT, I can just imagine all of the Clown VS Clown or Clown bro comics. I'd rather like them to fix up old clown before adding a new one though, and it is a bit of a redundant theme.

Samara is depicted as a child, so I wouldn't count on it. They're against adding children into the game -- or at the very least, noticeably a child. They could age her I suppose.
Also Samara is too similar to the Spirit, she'd need a completely different onryo power, and flickering in and out of existence was the best one
-
I started playing her because of the rift and she's a lot of fun. It feels really good to hit hatchets, whether the survivor you're chasing is up close or really far away. I'm putting a lot of bloodpoints to level her up so that I don't have to rely on iridescent head for her 4k challenge.

Uh, you do realise that each map has a few maps that are different variation of the map? And if you completely remove the map, thus removing the 5 variations of it, when the game would have to calculate which maps to avoid from the 5 players previous games, you'd probably have nothing to play on. Its a nice thought but repetetive maps arent really that common, even if you do end up in Coldwind the next game rarely is another Coldwind map again. This is such a strange request, just use offerings thats what they've been implemented for, theres enough of them on the bloodweb for you to be able to play whatever you want for plenty of your games?
I said in the post that only the specific map would be removed, not the whole realm. It's just so we don't get Haddonfield or Lery's multiple times in a row
-
If only there was a perk that would let you run really fast to get out of deadzones, or a perk that let you see the auras of windows and pallets so you always know where to go, or a way to heal ourselves so we can take a hit and sprint to safety. The game really needs something like that to counter deadzones.
-
How about just seeing what perks survivors close to you have? That would be really useful

I hate how the Yamaoka maps look now, now instead of being a good looking map that you can't see anything on it's a bad looking map with a shiny ground that you still can't see anything on.

If you have good headphones and turn the volume way up, you can hear breathing sounds from the survivors. Not a real fix but it could help maybe. Or just swing wildly through all the bushes around a gen and pray for a hit, I've gotten a couple hits from doing that before.

The amount of single player games I have in my library I can count with a single hand.
In many of those instances that are single player, I have hundreds of hours in them. Here's an example with Mirror's Edge for example, which only cost me CAD$5:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/269/KY4KA5C7QSPB.png
Here's 20XX, which I got for only CAD$8.99:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/067/6MRYKLFRY7TB.png
Here's another game called Aurora Dusk that I bought, that I also got for only $10.99 and is primarily single player:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/641/84B8OIHY4GRB.png
Secrets of Grindea, cost me only $15. Still getting plenty of hours in it and the game isn't even DONE yet:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/720/BZEVYDFLRTBD.png
And these are just the games I have on Steam alone. This isn't counting classic multiplayer games I play, such as Phantasy Star Online and Ragnarok Online and Mabinogi (The three of which are the low, low price of "free"). Or the games that I have bought that are multiplayer, I've sunk even more hours into:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/903/KDGIQL2JKZ22.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/836/GYXFAORFNXMB.png
(I got Left 4 Dead 2 for only CAD$5 as well by the way. I think I got my monies worth)
Besides, just because a game is single player (like Mirror's Edge for example), doesn't mean someone can't enjoy them for hundreds of hours just because they're single player. Trying to decide the value of a purchase is impossible. The value of money as I said is different for everyone. How much someone values a game is also different per person. Most people only have 6~8 hours in Mirror's Edge who completed the game. Then there's people like me who love the game so much that we play it to death or even try to make our own custom maps for the game. Or there's people like me who just really like the Megaman Zero and ZX series that I've played them over and over and over even after a decade, and just still enjoy my time with those games.
Literally all of the games you quoted (Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem, etc) I do not own, nor have I bought, nor do I think I would even like in the first place (games like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem are definitely do not fit my more casual style. I'm not a 'rockstarring metal death-head gimme death and destruction' type of guy). You're asking me about the value of these games, when I haven't bought any of them. Those games to me even if they were on sale for only $2, I still probably wouldn't buy for myself, because I wouldn't get enjoyment out of them, nor would I play them for very long.
So if I wouldn't buy 3 games for $2, why would I buy a rift pass, for a few cosmetics, especially this rift pass, which the only cosmetic I would only be interested in is a crappier recolor of a cosmetic I already own, and would have to work meticulously for the next 2 months to even have a chance to get my money's worth?
Someone else who loves Mirror's Edge to death! It's a shame that because of Catalyst they might not make any more entries into the series, I think that aa actually well done sequel would do really well.

Autodidact is a lot of fun, and with more legion and huntress players with the new tome it's a lot more useful
-
Buffs for pig:
- her rule set #2 addon is base kit
- her ambush roar sound effect isn't directional
That's all she really needs, otherwise she's fine.
-
Kindred, I have been one hooked with my entire team still alive too many times to count.
-
Freddy. While other top tier killers like Nurse, Billy and Huntress take some semblance of skill to do well with, Freddy just has too much power for how easy he is to play.
-
It's a tie between Pig and Spirit for me, but I usually have more fun playing if I know that the other side's also having fun, and I know how boring Spirit can be. But probably one of the most satisfying things is grabbing the idiot survivors who do gens in my terror radius without LOS of me.

Forum ate my comment so I guess I'll write it again. If you know flashlights are ingame you should fake pickups and check for flashlighters in the immediate area. Flashlight saves have to be extremely precise so the flashlighters tend to be in a very predictable range as they don't have much choice. You should be regularly punishing them with injuries or even slugs on the more persistent ones. Stay aware during chases as well as an unexpected turn to hit someone sneaking up for a save has gotten me free hits quite often. It's also a huge benefit to killer as they are following you not doing gens. That means longer games and more oppertunity to take resources from them and ultimately 4k. You should overall be glad to see a flashlight if you aren't hag or wraith.
Yeah I know, that's why I used /s
-
As a killer main to survivor mains, flashlights are super op especially when you follow the killer around trying to get the flashlight save. My honest opinion is that if everyone brought a flashlight every round and followed me around to get the save survivors would escape 100% of the time. So if you're a survivor main, don't bring flashlights since they're a guaranteed win for survivors and super toxic. /s
