I agree, the fact that it pop ups even when you dont have any rewards to claim since you dont own the battlepass but its spamming you with the notification that wont disappear half the time is so irritating. DBD Isnt known for its amazing UI but making something this annoying has to be an achievement within itself LMAO; youd think with how its been annoying people for multiple BPs they would fix that up.
-
That looked like it was fun to build! Awesome job haha!
-
Dookieth mine own pants;
When spotting a killer in close proximity, you scream beyond humanly octaves to reveal yourself and the killers aura for the next 5-10 (more?) seconds to the other survivors.
There are too many times I've been beyond jumpscared in this game I've had to find a hiding spot and just afk for a moment to make sure I'm still personally alive irl. LMAO.
-
Its amazing how you say you dodge lobbies to create a better gaming experience for yourself and people still manage to come out with, "Haha baYbY kiLLeR, you dOnT AFFECT ME!"
Like, if the next killer joining almost instantly doesnt affect your gameplay thats good survivors, killer getting a new lobby because they rightfully have the choice to not go against a swf 4man with a key is good too. No one is hurt by this exchange and somehow we still find people being negative.
-
No Mither, Self Care, Unbreakable, Sprint Burst; I think the first two are the classic survivor troll perks together since they have 0 syngergy. I'm guessing Unbreakable would be somewhat useful to get some speed off recovery but No Mither already allows you to get up however many times you want so basically pointless, and Sprint Burst would mean you have an exhaustion perk BUT, have fun crawling around with it or using it up when you dont need to! :D

Ooo a fun thread!
Your tattoos sound so random but I love that!
I dont have any tattoos currently because of money but!
I really want a bull skull surrounded by raven wings and emerald gems ornaments on it horns because of my birth stone and zodiac on my chest! I also wanted a Dragon Age tattoo on my forearm but I'm not really sure which emblem i'd redesign for that myself, I do like the Inqusition one but my favourite game was Origins. There was a complex design of a skeleton warrior lady on a background of cracked rainbow glass thing with a bunch of cherubs or whatever surrounding it that I wanted on the thigh but I dont think that would translate well on a tattoo, a little too ambitious :(. I also have a great love for yakuza styled tattoos, and would actually sell my soul to have a full back piece, theyre just so beautiful!!
I have too many ideas and too little money and it makes me sad haha D:

The free rift stuff to me personally aren't worth the bother, i feel we don't get much stuff for doing it, all the stress etc trying to do missions and you aren't compensated for it, and not everyone can buy the not free stuff. This is why i do not bother with the rift, and a lot of it is touch ups on already there cosmetics.
You do get bloodpoints for doing the missions!

If you play survivor you will get injured. Thats why its not situational. For a rework suggestion I would make it a stun if time correct.
Some ideas:
Killer chases a survivor and right when the lunge is in progress the survivor uses dead hard --> turns around and hits the weapon away. Killer gets stunned for a short time and the survivor has time to create distance.
So killers could counter that with a good play (last second planned missed attack or come extremely close and not lunging)
I want it nerfed because a small number of people know how to run it perfectly? YES. Dead hard used by a good person GRANTS you at least 30 more seconds of chase. thats extremely powerful.
Just because most survivors dont know how to use it it doesnt mean it is an okay perk. Dead hard is comparable to spirit.
A good spirit player has no counterplay against. Survivors dont get any information where Spirit is phasing and they just have to guess on which side of the window/pallet you can stand. No skill involved.
You are /actually/ physically killing me. The situational aspect isnt getting injured, its having the pallete or window right where you want it.
You're basically saying people shouldnt be rewarded for using a complex perk correctly, as rare as it is to use it correctly. The counter plays you mentioned to your fantasy DH can be used against the current DH.
Just dont chase if you know you're in a bad situation, they'll have DH back, sure, but they wont be in the same position unless you let them if it really itches your bumfluff this much.
P.S. I'm gonna send you my filler bill after the wrinkles you've just given me from furrowing my brows tryna understand your logic.

Yes, it is reprehensible.
However, I do not think this is a problem specific to the Doctor. We can also imagine a similar situation with Oni, Myers, Plague... It is therefore rather at the map design that we must act.
It is an elevated place and there is next to no door or window connecting the house, adding a "window" on the side (behind your friend) may be possible. This would not create a powerful loop, but an exit for this kind of situation.
Just because you can farm a survivors as a killer doesnt mean you have to. Its not a killer thing, its a player thing.

Dead hard Is a huge problem IMO.
Lets compare it to other exaustion perks:
Head on: can be countered easy. You need setup time for it to work.
Lithe, and Balanced Landing: You need special places to make the perk work. It is limited to these places.
Sprintburst: Probably the 2nd strongest exaustion perk. You can use it any time and 99 it after use. But its used at the start of a chase. The killer has two options: chase the survivor who created much distance or just let them go and look for someone else.
Dead hard: You need to be injured, but if you are you can use it any time. And here is my connection to the "balance for the top 3%":
Dead hard is poorly used by like 90% of survivors. BUT the actual decent playes know how too loop.
Lets say you have a small tile with a pallet and a truck. You can run around it like 2 times and then the killer is close enough to hit you.
With dead hard people run another round with perfect safety. The killer would be just close enough to get you but you use dead hard for distance and get to the pallet even though you made a mistake. The killer cant counter it. And it adds more then enough time to reach the next pallet. Also its not a 1 time use so a killer has to go though this alot of times.
You have no counterplay as a killer. And you have to follow because you have committed time to the chase already. It is completely different then the other exaustion perks.
The others --> situational
Dead hard --> always usable.
You said a lunge can get them? not if they play the perk to its fullest. The lunge will be canceled as the pallet drops on your head.
Yikes, most people CANT use it because its highly situational, you have to be injured and you have to be 100% sure theres going to be a pallete or even a window there and even then theres plenty of errors to be made when looking behind you and not seeing infront of you, directions on it mess up plenty bc of camera etc; or its broken by the game. You're saying that because someone out there is actually able to successfully pull of the perfect DH scenario where they happen to find the perfect loop, and the pallete is there, the perk needs a nerf?
Saying its not a one time use is silly, none of the exhaustion perks are, but the fact that a killer is going to chase an injured person 99% of the time after landing the first hit guarantees theyre never coming off the exhaustion once its used until theyre downed, unless you leave them injured, hiding for it to come back or theyre healed to full. Most of the time you can bait the deadhard by leading them into a location where theyre either forced to use it or they just dont have the option and skip on it.
I dont understand the distance alternative, would you rather DH just make them stand in place, give them an invunerability shield for a split second as you swing and then leave them exposed to another hit as soon as killer miss animation is over because they had no way to get distance?
Its like someone saving a vault for lithe until theyre injured, and then slamming a pallete on you as you swing, hit missing, and vaulting a window to get a sprint burst off it, with the bus scenario loop I guess, it would be almost exactly the same, except the sprint burst would give them more distance.
Its all situational and good players will know how to make the most of it?
I'm gonna leave it here I thinks.
Use an exhaustion addon, you counter it 100% of the time then.
-
I feel like movement speed changes are a bit iffy since bloodlust is a thing, It doesnt affect gens directly but it does let you chase a survivor faster when you are failing the chase. Also, Thrill of the Hunt already gives you a notification when people touch your totems, its a Hex perk.
-
I feel like getting red rank on survivor is too easy, you can do gens the whole game, heal a few people who find you and do maybe a totem and bam, you're pippin your way to rank 1. Alot of people there dont know how to play against a killer, how to chase I guess and it can give you a false sense of how good you are when playing against these people which I dont like, since it makes facing actually good players then feel like a discredit to the skills you though you had LOL!
Its a strange and stressful way to try and learn the game, especially if youre lower ranks with the haywire matchmaking system rn.
I agree with the perks kinda, DH doesnt give too much distance (a lunge can smack em silly half the time) and doesnt work with dedicated servers half the time, so its nice that it can atleast secure a window in some instances.
-
With how the rift currently looks, If I paid for it and unknowingly got what it has on offer right now I'd be preeeeetty m a d. Id rather know what im signing up for, especially when things look the way they do in there right now.
-
I think you just dont deserve to be rank 2 and rightfully lose, deranking to be somewhere where you actually level at. (Focusing on rank impacts your mindset in the game poorly btw, I wouldnt recommend that :))
If you actually played killer effectively you would know this buff has been well needed as the killer players have been quitting due to imbalance. If you think removing a few palletes and infinites hinders your gameplay completely then you just proved that youre not a good enough player to be in the higher ranks since you needed to use those overpowered advantages in order to do something. A red rank survivor should know more than to run around a building 5 times because it gives you a pallete and a window of safety.
Sure killers use powerful addons sometimes, but theyre limited to a single game and maybe youre unlucky to get a perma tier 3 Myers, suck it up and move onto the next game if you die. You'll always have DS once you unlock it from the bloodweb and can switch to it anytime, unlike the player wanting to try out the build or simply having fun because they finally got the addons together from the bloodweb RNG.
You can usually read a killer running NOED, if they play like they want the game to end quickly, do the totems, it gives you points, it prevents it, an overall good solution. You dont have to even do them all! Leave the ones in the most obvious spots so that you or your teammates can find it easier if he does have it.
Youre complaining because survivors have had it easy for too long, and now that the game is bringing a level of difficulty to it where you have to use actual strategy as a survivor for once, its baaad for you. I've played this game since about release, I think I have an idea of what I'm saying.
Anyhow, its tough luck, games like that happen, you win some you lose some. If you find yourself getting too mad, quit and play a different game for a while. :)
-
Hooo Amen baybe! I see so many dumb posts on this forum complaining about killer powers because... they have powers? Like yeah, the killers are meant to be unique and feel good to the person playing them, but because a survivor doesnt like playing against them they absolutely riot about it. There was that one post saying killers shouldnt have teleports like the nurse because he didnt know how to dodge her blinks, despite her having no movement speed which absolutely baffled me LMAO!
Id like to think its the newer players who havent got the knowledge yet of the game that do these things, but it is tiring to see the forums spammed with basic complaints because they dont know how to play yet, the disucssions need more variety!
Good post OP, I like u and send u huggies uwu

Well yes. I guess what u are saying. I personally never run in up those steps if it’s a dead end. But like I said, for new people that come into the game, they don’t know the maps too well. What annoys me the most is the fact that the killer easily trapped my mate to the point where he just kept shocking him for bloodpoints and the rest of us had to escape because there was no way we was gonna get our mate out.
I might have taken it a bit too far when I said Adding a vault to the area. But maybe if they widened the gap where the stairs are and gotten rid of the boxes, then the survivor wouldn’t be able to get trapped.
But yes, I do understand where u are coming from. But people play the game to have fun and this just isn’t fun.
Your friend being new and getting confused doesnt call for an entire rework though, you learn where to go and not to go with game experience. As I said, what the killer did was bad and you should have reported it but that was just a situation you end up with because of the player, a fair killer would have simply downed him and got on with it.
You shouldve just escaped faster and let your friend die to get onto the next game instead of hanging up on things like that. Some games you will also get slugged by a toxic killer who will watch you bleed out, that doesnt mean slugging should be removed from the game because one person abuses the timer. The game is made fine (with these two things in mind, not general bugs LOL), its the players that make it how it is.

The sound notifications are annoying. If it showed crow auras instead, I'd like it way more.
It does show a light up aura of a crow when a survivor distrupts them alongside of the noise tho.
-
Its a good hiding spot if you're not against a doctor and a stupid way to die when you run in there as a mistake during a chase. Im assuming this is one of the houses without the door directly infront of the steps, so its a perfectly fine way for a killer to get a kill if a survivor makes a mistake running into this area. The killer could be reported for unsportsmanlike conduct I believe if they did keep them locked in the place, but the map is fine lmao, use your eyes next time, Haddonfield always had unsafe porches.

You’re clearly not reading! I said that seeing the blink location should no longer require such things if it were fully charged... I shouldn’t need an add-on to know exactly where her powers should land. I should be able to see where she is going if I’m going to have to constantly go THROUGH solid things... It’s difficult to pull of PRECISE BLINKS if you’re going to have blink up into a building from afar, or through lots of things to hit someone on a gen. Many times during critical moments the object can’t be fully blinked through like the little hills... That add-on could be something else like Heavy Panting or the tooth/spoon so that I can have an extra perk like Devour.
Long story short that’s why I’m switching to the Spirit, and the Nurse will be played on the low. I love the Nurse design but she’s way too handicapped, especially on PS4. There’s no reason she should be crippled that bad. It’s not that she’s super difficult. It’s just there isn’t much of a reward playing her. I’ve even seen her blink attack miss directly in front of her as if her weapon went straight through the survivor.
Well, play her and get good at her lmao, people are able to play her without this just fine. Shes a hard killer for a reason and most of her gameplay comes from muscle memory. You have the addon to help you if you need it, and its useful when youre just starting out. Its not a neccessary requirement as a base as anyone who actually plays her is able to read where theyre going from practice.
-
This has been posted plenty of times already, but yes. They fixed her lullaby to no longer reset and it plays through completely now throughout the course of the game.
-
Yep, she has an addon for this!

Huh really? I couldve swore its always there when shes phasing.
-
Did they remove her phasing sound or something? The phasing sound is a clear giveaway shes phasing?
-
If Borrowed Time, I try to tank the hit, if not, I sandbag whoever saved me to farm me in hope they get downed for farming me but also just to save my own ass.
As killer I try my best to hit the rescuer, unless I know they have DS then sadly their teammate is gonna have to take the fall.
-
Difficulty of gameplay is subjective to everyone, some people might find Nurse easier than other, but on average shes Hard. Giving her a special rating just because you cant play her effectively makes no sense when other people can pick her up easier. Weird request.

They should probably fix this cause I couldn't drop a pallet and thought ######### this game
Personally I think its a neat thing against people who tap the gen during a chase or when theyre heading for a survivor, chances are if the killer is in another chase they wont be going back to that gen to kick it again knowing they have already kicked it, so the Overcharge makes sure it stays regressing if someone misses the skillcheck, which is neat. If you manage to hit it, then it will continue as normal and the skillcheck isnt too difficult to hit once you get better at hitting your greats etc. so the perk can quickly become useless on higher ranks.
-
I believe NOED only works with M1 hits, by spearing them youre using your ability which applies the mend status thus cancelling out the effect of the NOED I believe, just how a Legion ability would apply mend instead.

Yes she is fat, but shes not obese like you said she was with the mcdonalds comment. She has the best face model in the game imo, and her body isnt accurately modeled either with how stretched it all is, you could see it was a low effort model, atleast in the base skin with the stretch of everything on each movement. Its not facts its opinions, just how Kate might be top tier for you.

-
Overcharge skillcheck will follow you if you just touch a gen and run away, you cant cancel the skillcheck it just happens.
-
I mean Jeff is already pretty thicc and he already has the most asthmatic breathing as the loudest survivor in the game. Realistically a fatter survivor would never win a trial, this is why Clown is bottom tier killer LUL.
-
I've played hag and she seems completely fine? I didnt hear anything about her being broken.
-
I recently bought Doctor and been playing him level 1 just to get a feel of how he plays, despite being Rank 7 killer. I'm not really trying to play perfect or anything in my usual matches but the knowledge that I have no perks kinda makes the stress of playing killer ease up since if I win, thats good! I managed to use his abilities well enough to get all the kills, but if I lose its alright, since I basically had no perks anyway to help me out in whatever nasty situations I managed to get myself into. Usually playing killer messes with my anxiety though, since the game is much easier survivor side and you have to put alot of effort into killer games. (Before someone cries about survivor comment, I am Rank 1 survivor thanku and it is much easier and less stressful.)
Despite this I still get alot of toxicity from survivors somehow, calling me 'trash noob ahaha' and whatever other curses I dont want to include here LMAO. Its quite pathetic really, and shows that perks like NOED really arent a problem, but the community is if theyre mad enough about losing to a literal level 1 killer running Level 1 Overcharge out of all things.
-
I forgot survivors are allowed to bring 4 brand-new parts into a single trial but god forbid a killer uses an addon to make their experience easier, playing against 4 seperate people. You can counter half the stuff you mention if you open your eyes and practice, you're literally just expressing you're bad at the game by posting a public whine, so yeah, 'git gud' is applicable.
-
If you can bleedout at any moment you can simply just give up playing the game as you would when people die on first hook by trying to escape and then not struggling. Plenty of times killers will slug because they're chasing more survivors if there was a bunch grouped together, if you simply bleed out right there and then you're robbing your teammates of a player and the killer from points, thus contributing to whatever toxicity you were trying to counter. Rarely do people slug to be toxic, and even then just tab out? Its not really that long, imo that would bring more problems than it solves.

The only high rank player in the game was me and I was solo queuing. I think the matchmaking got worse all of a sudden(or at least on Xbox).
Oh you didnt have that screenshot up before, Jesus Christ even the poor killer? Yeah thats some matchmaking at its best yikes!!
-
Possibly a rank 1-2 with SWF babies gettin b o o s t e d.
-
I see a Monto fan so I present you with the concept of playing different games! Wild I know, just like the man himself, go over to Hide or Die, you are allowed to play more than one horror game!
-
I think seeing a Bubba should automatically trigger your flight response because literally anyone I've ever seen regardless of rank always tends to camp as him, its pretty much only played as a meme from what I've seen. Its stupid sure, but if hes afking camping just try to stack up on those bloodpoints and leave asap.
-
Uh, you do realise that each map has a few maps that are different variation of the map? And if you completely remove the map, thus removing the 5 variations of it, when the game would have to calculate which maps to avoid from the 5 players previous games, you'd probably have nothing to play on. Its a nice thought but repetetive maps arent really that common, even if you do end up in Coldwind the next game rarely is another Coldwind map again. This is such a strange request, just use offerings thats what they've been implemented for, theres enough of them on the bloodweb for you to be able to play whatever you want for plenty of your games?
-
Hide or Die gamer spotted.
-
Legion literally moves faster than the survivors, makes it hard to see as a survivor when in need of mend, increasing the chances of error in finding a safe spot to run away from a Legion behind them or hiding, and they basically get free vision on survivors in a proximity area.
Mending already takes time out and a Good Legion will be able to keep a mend up on survivors constantly, especially with map changes. You want to add to that additional time so that what, the survivor bleeds out from the Mend timer because you cant land an M1? Theres already plenty of slowdown Legion Builds with Thanatophobia etc.
I really dont understand the complaint when if you actually knew how to use Legion you'd know it wasnt a neccessary addition, plus if you did want to use sloppy butcher, just M1 like a Pig would, or a Myers, or literally any other killer who has movement abilities as their secondary.
-
Adrenaline, you're basically perkless until the end of the game, and even then its a heal (if you happen to be injured) and a short sprint burst that usually only works if youre SWF. (Though in the baby days of the game and my playing I did use it on Meggo LMAO!)
It works for some, but I personally just carry a brown medkit with me and Botany Knowledge to get a heal off if I cant find anyone else to do it, so that I can have an actual perk thats going to help me and others throughout the entire trial instead of just the end. Even if I get the heal and small sprint burst towards a gate it doesnt guarantee helping me as much as say a Spine Chill or literally anything else, so I couldnt never see the appeal of it!
Killer side I literally cry when I see basement specific perks like the Entity and Huntress ones, I never in my life would have a use for them!
-
From that screenshot I can completely understand why the killer brought a mori, Death Slinger is bad enough as it is and struggles to get pressure on gens due to his ability, 3 strong med-kits would mean that by the time he injures 1 or 2 people, they would be immediately healed up when a healthy survivor gets in a chase (SWF especially, im assuming he knew they were too,) and he wouldn't be able to get hooks, so he killed them instead to ease the pressure of himself. Removing one survivor early, although not fun for the survivor makes the game more managable early for the killer. It may not be the most fun or bloodpoints awarding tactic but it worked for him.
Also, survivors bringing 4 items or keys into a trial is fine but a killer trying to ease the pressure off himself by bringing something against it is always negative huh. I know franklins is a thing but its not avaliable to everyone also unless they own and level Bubba, or snatch it from the shrine whenever it appeared.

But I dont think you can get punished for going afk for whatever reason though since the game still carries on regardless since the survivors can do everything they want to escape anyway and endgame collapse will kill anyone else who lingers behind. I know that feel tho, some games as killer I need a moment to stand in a corner and collect myself from how bad it goes, usually accompanied by a harmony of clicky clicky. :/
