How long has this been an issue? I've played the game for awhile and have never had a survivor spawn in view like that.At least a year now, since that's when i had a Meg spawn in front of my Hillbilly in the Killer Shack.

Sounds more like it'll be something for the event.

The Entity would do.

Keep the hatch and let it spawn closed. Survivors need to bring a key to open it or find one during the match.
If 3 survivors are dead, let a key spawn in a chest. If all chests have been looted, reset a random chest.This would make keys more valuable, maps more valuable (mark position of chests and hatch once found) and coin offerings more valuable.
Finally a sensible solution. Can the killer wait and grab though? I could see killers not taking the advantage to look for survivors. If that is still the mechanic all it would do is buy the killer more time, extend the game with the same standoff. If they can no longer grab i'm all for this idea.
Could make it so that, once there's only 1 Survivor left and the Hatch spawned, AFK Crows will start spawning, regardless if they stand still or not.
But they'll start appearing after 2 minutes instead of 1, and will start alerting the Killer visually at 3 minutes instead of 90 seconds.
No "I'm gonna hide forever" bullshit allowed. -
I can run GTA on most High with a steady 58.
This game already starts being choppy at High.
Idk what this game is sometimes... -
Once the game recognizes you said a no no word in the endgame chat, you lose all your BP and IS.

Could be anything. Bhvr refuses to just have an option to add real numbers like diablo 3 has.
Probably because they would mess that up too... like the LF addons that did nothing for a long time.Chili & Award-winning Chili still aren't fixed, still doing practically nothing.

What's fun is that those who see the movie could think: "Wow! I guess i'll try the game."
And they'll come here and be disgusted by campers and M1 simulator. -
Same here man.

Even if they still fear the Killer after facing them 1000 times, eventually it'll wear off.

If those 2 advantages is why you're not able to decide, i'd go for SF.

Just watch Monto’s super toxic killer videos, survivors literally disconnect every game. I guess that qualifies as “effective killer”?That's just 1 person though.

I'd just like to see him not slow down at all while charging.
Then he'd start with 115% while using the chainsaw attack and gradually gains more movement speed during the attack, ending at 125% movement speed.To make the Chili Add-ons not useless...
The Chili Add-on adds 10%, making him end at 135%.
The Award-winning Chili Add-on adds 20% more, making him end at 145%.
These Add-ons would also stack, making a total of 155% possible.The cooldown would last as long as it does now, but would be at 50% movement speed.
Adjust cooldown Add-ons accordingly if necessary.And since the devs want to make Ultra Rare Add-ons for everyone who doesn't have 2 of them, i just got an idea...
[INSERT NAME]
ULTRA RARE BUBBA'S CHAINSAW ADD-ON
- Dropped pallets won't stop your chainsaw attack when broken by said attack.

Binding of Isaac.
Something there could probably fit in well. -
I feel a bit sad for those who are stuck there cause everyone else nearby got past rank 15.
They might have the skill to get to a higher rank, but once they've lost too much on low ranks, everyone else nearby will have moved on.
Only emptiness or high-ping players remain for them.
And even if they don't have the skill, they can't exactly train to gain more skill either, cause you know: No one's there.There's probably no one who currently has this issue though.
Still, it'll possible to occur at some point, and i find it quite unfair for them and find it unfair that it's a thing the devs made just cause it will only happen to a very small amount of people.I'm hoping to see discussions here at some point about complaining that no one's there to play at their low ranks.
There's gotta be a better way to get rank 1 players and 100+ hours players out of low ranks. -
Hell yeah, the new Spoderman!Dwights_leftfoot said:I have it too. That is why I jumped on the forum looking for anyone else with the problem. Oh well guess I go play God of War or Spiderman till they fix it.

Nah, it's neat to have.
The difficulty just needs to rise more, it's easy with or without black pips. -
I'm satisfied with the responses i got back on the Steam forums when i made a long post.
Mainly cause i thought things through and reminded everyone that they're all opinions. (With some facts.

The issue here is that the game cannot differentiate between legit disconnections and rage quit.Aren't you screwing over the other players regardless of the reason why you disconnect?
There are a couple instances where I understand it. Like if the killer is using hacks or one side is holding the game hostage. I can't really blame people for disconnecting in those circumstances. But the bad reasons outweigh the good. Most people who DC, from my experience at least, do so because they got a bad map, they got downed, they missed their DS, people aren't going to get them off the hook right away, their ruin got found at the beginning of the match, etc.
I can understand that being on a time-out because you went against a hacker or got taken hostage would feel unfair.
But i can't relate to it: Met only 2 hackers so far and i've NEVER been taken hostage. (I must really be annoying.
)
Both of these cases just aren't common enough for me to think a time-out would be a bad implementation.
The time-out wouldn't be drastically long anyway, you can do some menu stuff, something else on the device your'e playing on, something else in real life. -
Because no videogame should physically hurt you.
If you feel pain from wiggling or struggling, you're doing it too hard. -
I just kill.

Idk man, Territorial Imperative ain't that bad.
It's just that there's better out there. -

That's true. I am in no way supporting players who disconnect. I just stated a legitimate issue. And it also has been picked up by the devs whenever they have tried to punish the rage quitters.
Okay.
-
Sheesh, just let people be and they'll be banned if they cross the line.

I guess rank does matter...in that way.
For me, getting to rank 1 isn't all that hard. A bit harder now that i've crossed over to Wraith, but still nothing like going through The Ringed City for the first time in Dark Souls 3.
What's hard is enduring the boredom that people resort to past like halfway.
-
When i look at it in a simplified way...
Mode #1: Lack of Survivors.
Mode #2: Lack of Killers.Especially the former statement would hold more value, since there's numbers to back it up.
-
There's always gonna be a meta.
But I'd like to see some ancient Perks leave the meta. -
Nice!

Would be interesting. They cleanse it for points and then NOED activates. They'd think they are safe after the 1 minute timer on it. Then insta down for NOED.They'll probably still be notified by NOED's existance if you hit them while they're still Exposed from cleansing Haunted Ground.
This has actually happened you get both effects on your screen notifying you that hey stupid you forgot something.
It's similar to Haunted Grounds and Rancor, you get notified that you're exposed while the Haunted ground timer counts down.

Always has been. On what planet does dropping a pallet take longer to do than a mindgame? That's kinda the point. Pallets = easy. While mindgames = skillful.
Mindless looping is what you're talking about.
There's a lot more to pallets than reacting. -

IMO, this is actually worse then Hacking, since Killers still have somewhat of a chance.Huh? When lagswitching, there's still the chance to lose. Hacking is unlimited power.
Never talked about power, but I'm wondering if you've seen the countless posts about "I beat a cheater" ever since years back. Hackers can be defeated but lag switches leaves you 0 hope.
@HeyItsNick123andnea said:
Why should killers host a game in the first place?Because if it's assigned to a Survivor and they leave, the match is over.
But why should they? You never answered it correctly. In other words, why should someone have the power to control the game of others, ie connection.
@HeyItsNick123andnea said:
A quarter of all killer mains (or more) make the game impossible for survivors to play.I'll need proof.
If they lag switch, if I need to be clearer. Many need to depend on something such as connection. This is frequent from me, it doesn't mean it's actually the whole thing. It's called exaggeration.
@HeyItsNick123andnea said:
Get DS (Dedicated servers) into the game already.Everyone wants this, but it's more complicated than: "Oh, you want it NOW. Okay, let's do it now."
That's an opinion. I never said RIGHT NOW, but I expressed that I would like it very soon. Oh, and it's not as difficult as it sounds. Identity V, a mobile game does have dedicated servers. Even if they needed to rebuild the game, that'd be better than depending on someone with their internet.
@HeyItsNick123andnea said:
Another thing, hitboxes. Killers have been able to hit survivors from ridiculous angles and the slash from the killer doesn't even look like it's touched the survivors body, BUT IT STILL HITS.Lag, not lagswitching.
I mean yes, lagswitching produces the same result.Random answer, alright? Like I didin't know that, but thanks.
But here's the thing: All evil wizards were in Slytherin, but not all Slytherins are evil wizards.
All lagswitchers produce weird hits, but not all weird hits are produced by lagswitching.No, I divided lag switching and hitboxes in 2 different subtopics, that's why I separated them in paragraphs.
I certainly watched the video. Check my previous comment.
Many used to and still mistake lag for cheats, many used to and still mistake going faster than usual for cheating, etc. etc.
For every cheater-beaten thread, a large portion is also just false.Because that's how it's designed. If you think that's poor design, that's fine, but you can't both play the game and complain about it cause it's not changing.
No idea what you're saying here, grammar's a bit off.
Identity V didn't start in P2P.
Rebuilding the game means a LOT of time not spend on managing the game.
And if they sacrifice a part of the team to manage the game, it'll take even longer.
Plus it's a lot of money for a change that would be good in every way, but is also not an enormously necessary requirement.
Me and most of my friends just never have issues with connections.Lag. No matter how perfect your connection is, there's gonna be some.
And, surprise surprise, in a chase, every godamn milisecond counts.
Also, apparently, interactions between players can produce a random spike. Odd.If you knew it, then don't say things like it's not.
You divided them in 2 paragraphs.
Doesn't mean the issues are separate. -

You have that backwards. Lagswitching basically freezes survivors in place. Hacking depends on what hacks you're using. I've escaped from hackers before. Never escaped a lagswitcher.

It's been 2 years and they've made enough money to spawn a separate branch to make a whole new game. They've had more than enough time to get dedicated servers.
@HeyItsNick123andnea said:

I mean yes, lagswitching produces the same result.You literally just proved why you're wrong on this one.
The video doesn't show near enough Killers.
Collaborate with a few volunteers and work on it a few days to produce some solid results.I don't have it backwards.
If you don't die to a hacker, it's because they don't want you to die.
Check out Zekeo's channel, you'll see why in 1-2 DbD videos.I have. I still need proof.
No they haven't, they're busy balancing what used to be an absolute shitshow.
The team was also very small and grew overtime, but they still all need to focus on the game itself due to the increase in players and the crazy amount of added content.
Unless you know the specifics and inside information on how to move over to dedicated servers, you're hard to believe right now.Just like how you adviced me to watch the video, i advice you to read the rest of the comment.

To be honest, once you're doing okay as Killer, you'll generate enough BP every match to buy enough Add-ons to always have something.
Though i also never like the idea of "needing Add-ons". -
