What's your opinion of a FNaF/Robot killer?EDIT: It doesn't have to be FNaF, I just put that there because it seemed like they would group in with the "robot" category.
No. Don't even start talking or mentioning FnaF. Robot killers would be impossible to balance since robots are basically better humans and they should be twice as good as a survivor...now imagine a thing like that being boosted by the entity
I mean, twice as good as a Survivor means it'd be as good as 2 Survivors.
Shouldn't a Killer always be better in at least a 1v1? ;PBut are they? Nope xD That's why every survivor would cry and make the community even more split and cancerous.
But they should be, and a Killer representing what should be would be a great start.

I don't have a set standard for showing mercy.
Sometimes i feel like it, sometimes just not. That said, i do have my own rules for the hatch itself...
Once i find them, whether it be at the hatch or at the complete opposite side of the map, i just slap them.
If they escape, oh ######### well.
If they don't, oh ######### yay. -

That's the point, SFTS is a trashed perk with a 100% counter available.
Any perk that has a 100% counter available, should be really frickin powerful.
Why should anybody run the counter perk, if no one is using the perk it counters?.... the point of calm spirit is that birds NATURALLY fly away and if you're not a shitter killer you can see it. Spies from the Shadows is like Deerstalker, Iron Grasp, Deja Vu, and all the other "I'm bad at simple game concepts" perks.
Actually being close enough to hear crows, or looking in the direction when they fly away, is extremely rare. Yeah, they're surefire ways to find someone, but it's like 1/50 matches I actually have a game where I can use wild crows for tracking. It's bad enough we set off crows ourselves, and then hear the audio behind/beside us.
Crows in general are pretty useful though.
There's general spots where they usually hang out and, with some good memory, you can also start remembering where Crows are in the map.
I often learned someone was nearby because a crow was missing. And them flying away is also not the only way to spot someone.
Crows are usually just standing there, looking around a bit.
So, if you see one flap their wings but they don't fly away, it means someone WAS there very recently, the Crow landed just now.Now that i think about it, they're kinda like my less useful, but still useful, version of Whispers.

If you're proud of it, did you ever get triggered by salty Survivors in the chat?
Just genuinely curious.
I have found that usually the good survivors understand the difference between solid gameplay (on both sides, whether it's looping or camping) and don't get salty. Likewise, so do I (Ie flashlight and ds use is part of the game).
I have been called every name under the sun, but the most frequent ones are "baby killer" and being told to commit suicide, but that is almost always from the survivor on the hook whose teammates keep rushing it before I get 10 feet away and their struggle timer runs out.
The good groups don't get mad at.you for camping because it is usually my loss if i camp for no reason but those groups I don't usually camp with because they take advantage of it. I get more kills and higher score if they release the hook and I can scramble them, break gens, hook more people....but sometimes they just don't let me and I have to camp.
Wow, didn't expect such an elaborate answer. Respect.
I see. Naturally our personal experiences differ to some degree, but i understand.
Thanks for taking my question seriously.

Too silly for me.It's a pretty grim story behind the series, but there's no denying that Scott Cawthon didn't write/tell it well, and expanded over time and needed to retcon stuff. That damaged its presentation when looking at it more than the creepy surface of it all.
On the flip side, the animatronics were always terribly creepy. Just playing FNAF1 still makes my spine crawl when viewing the stage and all of the animatronics are suddenly looking back at you.
I wrote "for me" for a reason.
What frightens you doesn't necessarily frighten me.
I'm not denying you your opinion though, don't worry. Just saying i don't think any character would fit as a Killer besides maybe Springtrap since he has the biggest killer in the FNAF franchise literally within him physically. -

Because many games do it isn't really the greatest argument.

Too silly for me.I agree that a child's entertainment bear isn't scary whatsoever, so maybe pick a more frightening character, like Springtrap.
I'm not saying the devs are right or wrong, but bringing a robot would clash with their rule of every Killer "being human" in some way or at some point.
And these guys LOVE their lore.
One could argue they're actually human cause there's a human soul in them, but i don't think they'd be satisfied with that: It'd still be a robot.
You could put a human soul in a book and call it a new Killer cause it has a human soul.
Though of all characters, Springtrap's not a bad idea, since his actual body is infused with it, though the devs would have to show a lot more skin, flesh and/or bone than he does in FNAF 3 to still show the human part of the character. -

This is the picture of from the live stream and it WONT fix all issues.
What issues will it not fix?
Issue 1:
It wont fix securing a kill when exit gates are open. Currently you often want to secure a last kill if you have someone hooked and the gens are powered/gate are open. You still cant do this with the changes of the picture. Survivors could just stand 17m or further away or dont come at all and if you move 17m away you wont be able to protect your hooked target forcing you to either let them unhook it for free or you get punished for securing the kill when gates are powered. This needs to change. A rule could be that once all gens are powered the 16m chaser rule dosent apply anymore.
Issue 2: Basement and close hooks
If you hook 2 or more people in the basement or close to each other this change will force you to go away and let them come forthe unhook. You can no longer preven them from resucing them which is dumb. If you managed to get multiple people in the basement or to hook them close to each other you should be allowed to defend them. If not you basically give away a victory which the survivors gave you. But no you have to give them another chance eventhough its their fault in the first place that such a situation even happened.
Issue 3: The game map
The game map is a huge issue for this chaser emblem punishement. You get punished if you walk above the area where you hooked them and lose points eventhough you often arent even close to a way that would allow you to reach the hook. For example you hooked someone downstairs and go upstairs and search for survivors above your hook eventhough the stairway is a long way from your hook (asuming you didnt hook right next to it) you still get punished for walking above eventhough its not camping at all. Same for hooking upstairs and going downstairs. The distance shouldnt be calculed for above and below.
Issue 4:
The 10 seconds after hooking might not be enough. If you want to check if a survivor is around it often can take more then 10 seconds. I would recommend to increase this time to 15 sec.
Issue 5: If you have someone hooked and down someone else it might happen that you have to carry the newly downed survivor through the 16m radius of the hooked survivor to reach a hook and get punished for not camping but just for hook spawn/place survivor goes down (can do this intentially too) something you have no controll over. Add that you dont lose points while carrying a survivor even if it goes through the 16m radius of a hooked survivor.
I could live with it if the changes from the picture AND my 5 changes would be integrated as well. However i still think the chaser emblem rule shouldnt make it to live at all, as its a bad way to force killers to not stay around hooks. Since BHVR is going against what they said: that patrolling, camping and kill securing (exit gates are open) are legitimate.
Issue 6: Doesn't affect those who don't even look at their ranks.

You mix up the numbers!
SC is not a separate value, it is double the base time, because it is half the speed.Right.
That does quite change the healing time comparisons.
The time spend finding someone is unchanged though, while Self Care is always with you. -

I think they should just remove the timer if I'm honest, sometimes you just gotta slap that survivor and then kick a gen and sometimes you don't have enough time for both.@Wolf74 said:
Devs won't do that, because the perk is designed to move the killer away from the hooked victim to give free unhooks to survivor.Problem with removing it is that you then remove the incentive to leave the Hook.
If you're on a timer, you gotta go away to apply that bonus regression.
If you're not, you can stay there and just apply it later. -

Idk about any of you people, but Self Care seems, to me, like an incredible boost to not waste time.
Especially if you can't find another Survivor like IMMEDIATELY.There's so many things that change this, if he's lost you, he's probably chasing someone else and they aren't on a gen, and you aren't healing so hands are still off.
additionally, losing a killer isn't the easiest thing in the world, if you manage to lose self care you did better than the killer or the killer chose a different target, that's not the fault of the survivors.
- Healing 1 takes 16 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 32 seconds not on a Generator.
- 1 using Self Care takes 32 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 32 seconds not on a Generator.
- Healing 2 takes 32 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 64 seconds not on a Generator.
- 2 using Self Care still takes 32 seconds. Applying your logic, that's 64 seconds not on a Generator. (Because now there's 2 using Self Care.)
This is, of course, ignoring other Perks you have equipped and Items & Add-ons you carry.
And then there's this...
- Get hit in a chase, but escape the chase.
- You start using Self Care.
- You finish in 32 seconds and can go on your marry way.
- OR
- Get hit in a chase, but escape the chase.
- You start looking for someone else.
- Once 16 seconds have passed and no one's healing you yet, you're officially slower than when you equipped Self Care, becoming slower every single second thereafter.
- Not to mention the amount of time you waste not repairing a Generator while searching.
- Not to mention the amount of time you waste from other Survivors on Generators because they have to heal you.
People should run the new Botany Knowledge once the update's here, cause those Self Care heal times will be flying by.

TL;DR - you clearly don't know how selfcare works, sweetie.
Seriously… I am done here.
Wiki says healing one health state is 16 seconds (I think that's next update, but doesn't matter).
So 2 injured survivor side by side using SC will take 32 seconds and both are fully healed at the same time.
Or 2 injured survivor side by side, one is healing the other for 16 seconds to full health and they switch roles and the other one gets fully healed in 16 seconds. So they are both healed up after 32 seconds. Can please someone else take over here?
This is like playing chess versus a pigeon.Self care heals at 50% of the speed of normal healing.
So, 100% of normal healing (on the new patch) is 16 seconds, 50% of 16 is 8, so HALF healing speed is 16+8 = 24 seconds to self care
Therefore two survivors healing next to each other individually = 48 seconds to heal, while healing each other would take 32 seconds.
and you say I can't do basic maths.
48 seconds?
Is one waiting for the other one to finish using Self Care before using their own Self Care?Hey dude, he brought up the scenario of them healing next to each other as proof that self care is op, I'm just going along with it lmfao.
In a way it's 48 seconds of two people not doing a generator, while they're both doing it at the same time, it is two people not doing gens, which i think is more important than actual length of game time.
But if you heal someone else, it's still 2 Survivors not on Generators.
And if both have Self Care, it only takes 24 seconds, compared to the 32 seconds if you heal eachother.Idk about any of you people, but Self Care seems, to me, like an incredible boost to not waste time.

How long has this been an issue? I've played the game for awhile and have never had a survivor spawn in view like that.At least a year now, since that's when i had a Meg spawn in front of my Hillbilly in the Killer Shack.
I've had the game since day 1 PS4 launch and I can tell you it has been around since the start. Although incredibly rare to see (only a handful of times for me) it has become a little more common since the Clown chapter release. They have only recently talked about fixing this issue because of this reason. The worst I've seen was a YouTuber who spawned with all 4 survivors in the killer shack, and the worst I've personally witnessed was 2 survivors, one who spawned nearly touching me with the other a short distance on a hill facing me.
Though not outrageous, i did spawn on a hill once in Crotus Prenn Asylum, and saw a Laurie at one of those "4 vertical walls" sections during the camera pan at the beginning.
They had the chance to run away from me, but it's still pretty bad to not even give them the chance to stay hidden at the beginning. -

That used to be a big issue but thanks to Overwatch, they fixed it. You used to be able to report someone you were in a game with and if enough did it, your rep would go to “Avoid Me” and it would affect your matchmaking in other games. GTA for example would only let you play with people who also had Avoid Me rep. So a bunch of salty survivors could report you for any reason and you’d be screwed in other games (but not DbD funny enough). My rep took a nosedive the day I bought DbD and I couldn’t even play some games because it wouldn’t match me with anyone.
So now they still take those reports and they still affect your rep, but the rep doesn’t affect matchmaking now.
But yeah people are incredibly salty. Just a couple days ago someone on Xbox got mad that I patrolled his hook to close and he got farmed and he informed me that he’s a military veteran with two tours under his belt and has killed people and that he was going to find me and add me to his list LOL.
What streamer was salty with you? They all get super salty and accuse you of sniping their stream, it’s adorable.
No streamers got salty with me thus far.
