Platform: PS4 Issue The inputs such as "Hold L2 to cloak" or "press R1 to vault" begin to flicker in and out, sort of as if someone were spamming the L2/M2 button repeatedly. This is not only visual, as trying to initiate a vault or basic attack can be stopped if it occurs when the inputs were "flickered out." I see this idea thrown around a lot. Even Scott Jund's patch made Slinger 4.6 because now, Slinger lacks the quick scope he used to have, complete with the standard 32m TR despite being 4.4. I'm here to tell you, that would awful. Like, terrible. It would a nightmare. Mobility The biggest defense I hear is: "He should be 4.6 so that he has more mobility so he can better apply map pressure."13 comments 341 views last activity

Hello, DBD Community! The Reaper is here to show you the numbers so you don't have to. Self-Heals This is more complex than some people might think due to how CoH is coded. You see, self-heals share identical coding with Self-Care, which explains why it even had the text "self-care" when it was originally released. So, you do get the 50% penalty, but it also benefits from CoH heal speed bonus t33 comments 752 views last activity

I don't understand this argument and I hope someone can help me. Yes, I know. The hold W meta is boring for both sides. But what's baffling me is that "oppressive killers are the reason! It was so much better back then!" I mean... what? Sure, looping an Artist is pretty much impossible if she's smart and Nemesis' nearly instant wind up makes it a nightmare. But this claim has existed since Pyra4 comments 241 views last activity

Goal compensate Slinger for his recent nerfs without making him 115% or undoing them completely. Terror Radius Reduced Terror Radius from 32m down to 28m As a 4.4 killer with a hard cap on his range and having a very small, precise projectile, having a fully directional 32m Terror Radius was too harsh. At 28m, he is still able to get slightly closer to survivors before they’re warned4 comments 51 views last activity

I do not understand this and I really want. Cenobite chaining people pause the timer because a killer disabling your ability to mend is dumb. Even Deathslinger spearing people pause the timer because again, dumb. So why can Doc just T3 someone and the survivor have to worry about bleeding out? From what I've learned, this is also intentional and I don't understand why. Can someone explain this17 comments 322 views last activity

Artist has been around for about a week now, and here comes the typical "How do I play against X killer" shenanigans. It's especially reasonable in the case of the Artist as she's one of the few killers that give walls the middle finger alongside Nurse and Pyramid Head. So as a killer main, I will try to share what I know to help when playing against the Artist. Notice: The killer is still n0 comments 1,232 views last activity

I'm going to keep my changes as simple as possible. Nothing controversial. I'm going to give the bare minimum! I'll keep it mostly numerical and QoL changes. Surely this isn't asking for too much. Basekit Changes Movement speed - 150% from 130% Fatigue - reduced from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. Basic Attack penalty - removed QoL: Recovery will now begin when The Legion begins their fatigue ins0 comments 21 views last activity

Time and time again, I have seen Chain Hunt interrupt a survivor. They break free, try to solve the box, and then get interrupted again. This tells me that people don't understand how to solve the box when they're being attacked by chains. Why it happens It's very simple. When the chain attacks you, the 2nd one will begin spawning as you break free and then try to solve the box again. While add7 comments 391 views last activity

Notice: While this will say why I dislike boons, I will mainly focus on Circle of Healing as it is the strongest of the three boons currently in the game. Also, this is obviously an opinion and you have full right to disagree. Time Efficiency Now, how much time does this perk take? Blessing a dull is 14 seconds, the same as cleansing. Blessing a hex will take 24 seconds instead. Hea8 comments 191 views last activity

I had a game where a poor Nancy was bodyblocked in a corner by a Feng and Nea until all 3 had crows earning my (killer's) attention. I think a good solution to prevent this level of griefing or a hostage situation (when the blocker is a killer) is to have it so a survivor with 3 crows temporarily loses collision with other players, that way they can't block/be blocked indefinitely. A very simple issue that occurs on all platforms (though my own is PS4). So far, this has been an issue that's been present for several weeks at least and will always occur, regardless of perks/killers/etc . When in a pre-game lobby, killers are positioned slightly too far to the right. This is most easily demonstrated on The Trickster (though I believe it to be present on every killer). This isn't a joke. This isn't hyperbole. They have literally reintroduced Old Legion, without the exploits. Let me explain. As many of you know, Old Legion was an abomination that should never have seen the light of day. Without any exploits, what a Legion would do is stab you, stab you again, go into fatigue, chase you, Frenzy, and stab until you die. The issue here was that Old Legion could d34 comments 1,261 views last activity

This is something I've been contemplating for a long time and with the recent Stridor/Spirit changes, I thought it best to approach the subject now. Iron Will is awesome. Let's not beat around the bush. In a chase? You're not even breathing and chase music drowns out your footsteps, so it gives you an edge. Stealthy? Now you're completely mute. Just generally don't like hearing your survivor's c15 comments 161 views last activity

I'm not gonna lie, I had a pretty low opinion of Ceno when he came out. Rng chase power, high learning curve, chains made of paper, and survivors having so much influence over his power. However, since I learned the box's spawn logic, shared it with others, and played as/ against him, I've had a slight change of heart. While his chasing power is inconsistent, his 1v4 potential is staggering. I55 comments 961 views last activity

Note: I'm pasting a lot of what I said from documents/DMs I've made. Just in case things flow awkwardly, now you know why. Commodious toolbox saves 10.7 seconds without add-ons/perks The toolbox has 32 charges by default. For the sake of this experiment, we'll assume to have 8 extra charges in the form of an add-on. Not the best (12 charges) but nothing to scoff at and 1 BNP. 10.7/32=0.3343750 comments 31 views last activity

I know this isn't true. I really do. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, to be optimistic and understanding, but... ugh. Do you know how long it's been? Today is 7/14/21 (or 14/7/21 for those that use DD/MM/YY format), so it has been 29 days. That's basically a month. A month of the game being flat-out unplayable on most consoles. Now, let me be clear and say I'm not 100% certain it was Nemesis himself but I do have reason to believe it's related to him specifically. Starting the game, I was plagued by frequent stuttering and freezes of varying lengths. Sometimes it was what I assumed to be a few frame drops (what else is new in DBD, right?) and others went on for almost half a second. I played games after this, mind you. This is pretty much the norm of what I've been getting. Blight's a killer I've played a lot too, and he's not an insta-down killer like Billy or Bubba. But variable ranks are variable ranks. How did my match feel ? I had a Meg throw god pallet immediately. Dwight hugged the edges of the map while running and repeat0 comments 31 views last activity

In my sad experience in solo queue, I have seen many things. Farming off hooks, people cleansing against Plague with No Mither, people running No Mither, gotten sandbagged, etc, etc. But for reasons I don't understand, I still get teammates that heal against Legion. I don't mean healing to go for an unhook or if they're dead on hook—that's perfectly fine and reasonable. Better off wasting a li17 comments 692 views last activity

I swear, this is a pattern with the community and I hate it. I hate it with a passion. Every time there's a change to a killer that strengthens them or is simply a killer that people dislike, people always use the same arguement. Deathslinger takes no skill! New Bubba takes no skill! New Wraith takes no skill! No, please, stop it. It hurts. Just stop. Idc if you think Wraith was overtuned or9 comments 201 views last activity

Too often I hear similar statements. "Spirit takes no skill" "she's too easy" "Make her fatigue" No. This is not the problem. Yeah, yeah, some of you might go see some of my previous posts and know I have defended Spirit in the past about many accusations saying she's too easy and the likes. But I have never denied 1 thing. The age-old question that it's time to ask again. Who do you believe are the most balanced killers currently in the game? When I say balanced I am assuming... 1) Exploits are NOT considered (meaning j-flicks and such aren't relevant as they're unintended) 2) they are balanced in that they have a fair back and forth in which the best player comes out on top. 3) Fair/Balanced does not mean10 comments 181 views last activity

Okay, I'll bite. It's safe to say he'll never return, at least not the same way as before. The only chance of anything resembling Old Freddy might show up again would be if there's a completely new killer who just so happens to have a similar power. So, if this hypothetical were to happen, what would you change when using Old Freddy as a basis? Just for fun...28 comments 211 views last activity

I mean, honestly, I hardly notice a difference. He's now 4.0 when placing snares. Okay, so? Place a snare and no distance is lost still. Try to leave the tile? So what? You'll still die. It's like if a Demo with Rat Liver held his shred for a second and that magically let you reach the next tile. No, you'll just die. If you do reach the next tile, you could've done it anyway. Nemesis is a unique perk. It doesn't create an obsession at the start, but it WILL create one whenever the perk is procced. Now there's DS, pretty much the only perk you yourself can bring to discourage the killer than tunnelling you, and it's an obsession perk. With the DS nerf, DS is a lot less common which means it's actually possible to have lobbies where the perk isn't used. But here's o1 comments 61 views last activity

For those unaware, Oni used to be able to do insane 180 degree turns around corners when using his power. Obviously, this was unintended and was patched out... and heavily restricted his turning and pretty much gutted him. Due to backlash, there was a compromise. Oni was able to do 90 degree turns now but nothing more, and that's the Oni we know today. With the J-Flick on the chopping block,4 comments 81 views last activity

Tunneling. Killers do it. Survivors hate it. DS and BT are the two defenses survivors have against it; both of them being meta perks practically since their inception. With the latest nerf to DS, apparently, tunneling has become a rampant epidemic and the change must be reverted! By this, I mean what is supposed to separate him from Deathslinger or Huntress, both being 110% ranged killers like Trickster. What does he have going for him? If a survivor vaults a window, Trickster might be able to get about 4 knives in. Cool. Huntress could throw a hatchet and deal 1 health state of damage. React too slow? This is a question that has been bothering me for a while. I'm sure we all know the common rule. If the hit is done with your power, then it considered a special attack and is not affected by perks such as Surge or Sloppy Butcher. Hag, Spirit, and Wraith are exceptions but I can see why. Hag just teleports with the attack itself having no unique properties. Spirit and Wraith are the same, but t20 comments 771 views last activity

I'll be the first to admit that... I do not like this duo. I kinda hate them actually. So if you find that this invalidates anything I said, there's a fancy little X up there to close the tab. Cooldown Kicking Victor will now incur a 30-sec cooldown before Victor can be released again. Currently, the 6-sec cooldown is merely a slap on the wrist. Trapper Allow for a two trap capacity base (and that trapper bag only spawns you with an extra trap). Without it, he's less Trapper and more Machete man who has a trap or two. Wraith Increase base cloak speed from 126% to 135%. This will make Windstorm less of a necessity on Wraith, while still being a useful family of add-ons. This is something I keep trying to figure out, but can't. It's not mobility as it only gives around 2m of distance. So it can only be used in a chase. Thing is... how? If it's catching up, then the slowdown bottles work fine. If you're at a loop, slowdown bottles are more than serviceable already and with minimal risk whereas the new ones can backfire heavily. I just can't figure it out. Any11 comments 1,181 views last activity

There seems to be a belief by the devs that having this would encourage tunnelling and that keeping track of who is on what hook is part of the challenge as killer. However, in my eyes, this argument falls flat as the current Hook Counters killers have can already do this when combined with the killer perk BBQ and Chilli—one of the most common killer perks in the game. I am going to be as calm and reasonable as I can be. I've put a lot of time into this game, so it's something I... suppose you could say I'm passionate about. We all know the new hook counter sucks for killers, but lemme tell you a little trick. If you're smart, you'll focus on 2 survivors because going for 12 hooks takes too long against good teams. Now, if you're like 98% of the killer population, you'll have BBQ (1% for those that don't have Bubba and 1% for those that want to be different). I'm not going to fill this with a big message of ridicule, insults, mocking the dev's competence, or anything. It would be easy to join in on the hate train, but no, that's not my goal. This is a statement I've heard far too much and it irks me the more and more I see it. Make no mistake, I'm not arguing that a killer that is completely opaque in everything they do and can stand still for a few seconds to get free hits is somehow fair/balanced.
