  • Nope. Stop playing so selfish and people don’t dc. Everyone wants to have fun, it’s not just about getting a 4K.

Not sure how holding Shift + W is toxic, but it's nowhere near skillful.

Survivors do gens, it’s gen rushing lol. Survivors run, it’s toxic or hiding w. Survivors used to loop, bhvr removes half the pallets and boards up windows. Ds is too op, nerfed! It’s pathetic.

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

I’m so bored of using this nonsense excuse every time someone is trying to justify playing survivor being easy, or that holding w is toxic. The truth is killers hold w just as much, if not more than survivors.

Most killers simply run after survivors, almost never doing any mind game, other than maybe at shack. If survivors are getting enough distance on you to hold w, they’re either playing bad getting off gens constantly, or you’ve misplayed a chase. In my experience, survivors perform much more mind games in chase compared to killers, so to say most survivors, even at red ranks are w key holders is a complete fabrication of reality. I don’t think we should be calling survivor easy when Spirit, Freddy, Wraith and Bubba are in the game!

In this forum it’s always survivors fault. Killer camping? Survivors fault they tried to save and went down. It’s bizarre how these people think.

They messed up the web. I prestige Bill recently and what a mistake that was. He’s now 2x prestige and I can’t get even tier one ds, inner strength, or other perks that are actually useful. I keep getting dark sense, slippery meat, no mither, etc. Never again.

Somehow I feel the house has less play ground around it.

For my PoV, the reasons are:

    • No more hiding area: best option for survivors when being there is to run out of the house, because there is no where to hide there. Box rooms replaced with Living room & Bed room, which are completely open place. The Balcony on Upper floor replaced with Roof top which is pretty much "just get out of the house"
    • Path: There is a God window with breakable door in Living room, for me as a Trapper main, I never break it but rather putting trap outside the windows. If you compare the path, I can get into the Old house from the left side, then go out on the top right side (balcony), in New house, there is no path to get through the house to the opposite side, because the path is blocked with God window / breakable wall. In general, I travel outside the house from left to right side, never travel through the house.
    • Entrances: there were more entrances in the Old house, plus those are small & tight corner which helps survivors to hide, especially you can juke Killer in Box room on Ground floor.
    • No more hook on upper floor: if you end up dying in the house, you go for the hook outside.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BC8QZSW7ZV72/image.png

No place to hide, juke. More place the get out of the house. No hook. Thompson house become a dead space once the Gen on upper floor is completed, nothing else to use.

Most of the maps are very killer sided and only getting worse. They’ve removed windows, pallets, and lots of dead areas are now common place. It’s unfortunate for casual players who just want to have a few hours of fun to see the game being built around streamers and red ranks.

Am I the only person that has a hard time with Plague? I love her design and backstory, but playing against her actually makes me puke. I wish they would make a replacement, at the very least of the sound. So you could decide to hear a different sound instead of puking. Right now I have to turn off all sound ingame so I'm pretty much useless.

Is there anyone out there with the same problem?

I hate vomit too but she isn’t bad for my anxiety. However in my real life I’m deathly afraid of throwing up. I panic.

This is my list of suggestions in order to make Ghostface a balanced and fun killer for both sides.

1: The closer you are to survivor, the quicker you stalk them

2: Survivor breaking Ghostface out of stealth is based on a distance. When Ghostface very close to survivor the quicker they can break him out of stealth (instead of having look contest)

3: Make base kit recovery 20~15 seconds and when successfully downing marked survivor, recovery is reduced to 5+- seconds.

4: Rework the whole concept of stalking with Ghostface. My idea is: when individual survivors breaks Ghostface out of stealth, their marked meter is removed (goes to zero) and when he's injuring someone he's no longer losing his stalking meter on a survivor. (I think this will balance out the 99% stalk problem and make it more balanced for each side.

5: Leaning stalk could be otherwise increase marking speed from far distance + keep survivor marked much longer if he decides to expose them from far distance (I dunno 80~120 seconds) and slowly stalking from close proximity if leaning from corner.

6: Right now Ghostface add-ons that increase his marking speed extremely overpowered in my opinion, because he can stalk a survivor much quicker before he breaks him out of stealth. My suggestion is to rework the whole thing. I dunno... maybe a slower recovery rate? (I need more time to think about this addons...)

7: starts game with activated Night shroud. (Similar with Wraith when he starts trial cloacked)

I wanna hear your thought and opinions on this, even hear your own suggestions! Would like to discuss them!

Remove his one hit down ability. He does nothing to earn it and staring right at him doesn’t do anything. He’s so busted.

Every Game i have 3-4 Dead Hard Player in my Round.

Everyone reaches a Palette or a Window through this Perk.

It's just more frustrating as a Killer and you can hardly do anything about it.

It's bad enough that EVERYONE can use it and that indefinitely unless you are exhausted.

How many say: Press "E" to win.

I think that a lot of Killer Players are of my opinion.

My Idea would be if it could only be used 1x in a Round.

If killers had their way, survivors would have zero perks, items, or places to run. If you want an easy kill simulator, play duck hunt.

  • @Tostapane said:

    Title.

This perk is unhealthy for the game, it's literally "press a button for outplay the killer" and no, baiting it isn't a solution (it works only against bad players) since good loopers will use it to extend loops. Don't believe me? I can give you an example regarding how much broken (and unfair) this perk is:

    - you can COMPLETELY counter certain killers (in trapper's case you can use his traps against him... Example:you trapped the shack, an injured survivor is running toward the entrance with the pallet from the inside, the window and the exit with the pallet are blocked by your traps, when suddenly a button "outplay" you completely and will also waste more of your time by forcing you to toggle the trap if you want to continue the chase)

    - killers already must end chases quickly in order to get a decent amount of pressure (you can't be in 4 places at once, so you need at least 2 survivors always unable to do generators), this perk is overkill in that regard cause it will deny it (you outplay a survivor, but he dead hard toward the pallet, which allows him to throw it, which allows him to reach a window, which allows him to etc etc...)

I would gladly rework it like the other exhaustion perks (idk, maybe if you blind the killer you will have a speed boost of 150%ms for 3 seconds)

    Thoughts about it?

It literally never works and most of the time survivor ends up exhausted on ground. Lol.

  • Welcome to my world. Last night I played with my buddies and it was one horrible match after another, all due to killer play style.

  • @iTz_KilLaZ_x said:

I don't know if this idea has been mentioned but why not give Nemesis two addons that increase his tentacle strike range? I know tier 3 increases his range but it only increases by one single meter. It's not like Nemesis is OP or very strong to begin with. He already has flaws, like how infecting a survivor does not do anything right away and still grants them a speed boost as if they took damage, etc.

I think a yellow and green range add on would be good. Make the yellow give like an extra 2m and the green 4m? Even just yellow being 1 extra m and green giving 2m sounds nice. What do you guys think?

I know!!! I was thinking his whip should just extend to however far the survivors happen to be, so I don’t have to chase or use my brain at all to play him. More zombies too, like 10-12 per map. Good post.

7.GENS fly extremely fast if u have normal killer who can't patrol or you are forced to spend hours upon hours to get some gen regression perks and even then gens fly fast.

    8. lot of killers are bugged like blight sliding off everything and his power not working.

9.People who main survivor on youtube are mostly toxic and bully kids who give bad influence on survivor players.

    10. Stretched and other dumb cheats

I do not know it is just me but i am kinda feeling DbD was better before. It is not fun like old times. Still sometimes i have great matches and wins. But this discussion is not about wins or loses.

New killers are not unique (Twins were last unique killer for 6 - 7 chapters). Reworked maps are bad for me, even Macmillian maps. Old Survivor animations were better. I can list more stuffs but i think i told enough. Maybe i am doing like grumpy old man but this is how i am feeling.

This is what happens when devs try and cater a game around the 1% of player base. It gets worse and worse and eventually people move on. If any game arrived that was decent competition, dbd would be in a world of hurt.

  • @agonizing said:

I play solo ~95% of the time in red ranks. I’ve noticed that most of the time my random team mates are console survivors.

I get I can turn off crossplay, but it’s not a complaint, more of an experience I’d like to share. Anyone know if there’s a reason why, or if they experience the same?

This place is a killer main support group mainly. They chased most survivors out. Now they can meet daily to complain and whine about not getting 4K rounds every single game.

  • @BenZ0 said:

I also feel that, survivors start to realize slowly by time that just running forward without looping is against most Killers just the smartest strategy. The problem with it is, it is a very boring strategy which removes all kind of skill play in the game but yet it is the most effective one.

But the big question is, how do you want to adress it? Scott Jund made the suggestion to just reduce the map size and reduce the basic M1 hit cooldown and ofc nerf Save the best for last to compensate that which is a good idea imo.

Dont know if that is really the best solution but I agree that this problem needs to be adressed before it is getting abused too often.

Considering killer is absurdly faster, with range attacks in many, and that devs boarded up half the windows or removed pallets…..I’d say it’s more of a you thing and not a game issue. Most killer players are getting consistent 4K games which is not what devs wanted. I know you all want that, but for game health it’s not realistic.

  • Thanks. I’ve been so upset as I’m not getting the constant easy 4K rounds. Yesterday I got a 3k and literally felt like breaking something. I can’t wait until this is fixed so it’s back to easy 4K games. If I wanted a challenge I’d play survivor!

Like many of you I purchased the Resident Evil chapter, and while I am miffed that I still can't play on the new map, I really want to give Nemesis a go. However I've watched many a stream where the FPS while playing as Nemesis has been all over the place. The bad performance has been noted across next-gen consoles and PC. This week's hot fix seemed to dedicate more time to cosmetics then it did game performance. Have any of you noticed an improvement when playing as Nemesis? If not, would you recommend holding off until the game is patched even further?

The ones I’ve seen do well. Like most killers he is built for red ranks so you should easily get a 4K with zero skill or practice if you’re purple rank or above.

Come on, you know you LOVED the crows in Resident Evil. Wouldn't it be awesome if the crows in DBD dive bombed you and pecked your eyes out?

To balance things out, survivors should be able to shoot them with a Beretta.

I think survivors should start in the injured state, with 12-14 zombies, and crows attacking. Maybe a few other obstacles too. Also no perks and no objective.

  • @Piruluk said:

I keep getting mostly SWF and while one chased the other 3 on gens, unfortunately I dont have unlocked any slowdown, kicking gens arent worth the time, regression doing nothing, and honestly gens are so fast, that I keep being destroyed games after games. Really the only thing that I can try to bank on, is NOED, if at least I get one SWF can be exploited because they dont want to leave behind anyone so that way I might get one or two kill or hooks. But honestly the game balance is horrible, also playing as a M1 killer so easily get looped, chasing one around 30-45 sec and I just have thrown the game. Really depressing how unbalanced the game is for killers.

If yours good at the game yes. There is a ton of red rank killers with no skill who complain and blame the game, when it’s them. Just focus and try and not use crutch perks. You got this.

  • @Munqaxus said:

If keys are changed to no longer be usable for hatches, how would you change them so they are still as significant to the game as toolboxes, flashlights and medkits.

I thought an interesting idea would be to allow keys to give the survivor the ability to teleport from one locker to another, similar to Freddy's gen teleporting. Green Key gives you 1 charge, Purple gives you 2 charges and Red gives you 3 charges.

I think it would give some interesting opportunities for survivors and allow keys to be as significant as toolboxes, medkits and flashlights.

I think they should be deleted. I also think each match should start with survivors injured and bowling balls tied to their feet, in an open field with nowhere to go. That’s my idea of fun!! Easy 4K and I walk away a legend.

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

The fact the recently Every survivor I've been matched with even though I save them multiple times has left me on my first hook at the end of a match. As I cannot take the chance of risking a hook state for someone who is just going to leave me up there.

DC is the new perk. When they get out from the game, match automatically ending.

So please respect the killer. Thank you.

Lol no. Sorry I’m not sitting in a miserable experience just so you can feel powerful in a video game. How about you think of someone besides yourself when playing?

  • @Northener1907 said:

Usually people are saying for Freddy, Spirit, Wraith, Twins, Doctor.

All of them m1 killers and people are thinking m1 killers does not need any skill. But how? I mean killers like Blight, Nurse are harder for learn but if learning killer is easy, that makes them braindead or low skill?

I do not think so. You have to still be good at chases. You have to defend your generators well. You have to use your time good. You need to know maps well. Maybe learning this killers are easier than some killers but you have to be good basic killer mechanics and you have to get good at them. If you are not good at killer; Freddy, Spirit, Wraith etc will not carry you to win (Maybe except low ranks).

So what are you thinking? Do you thinking some killers braindead or all killers need skills? Lets discuss in respect and rules.

Bhvr has made it so killer requires not a ton of skill to play, because they need people to want to play killer. The grind as a killer main and skill development is very small to nonexistent. That is why killers can’t compete at red ranks. Survivor grind is non stop which is also why red rank survivors are such a challenge.

  • @Zacharry100 said:

Holding m1 on gens have no skill...neither is dropping a pallet...playing with swf....using dead hard....healing....opening gates....bringing keys....neither DC since they took it off the penalty.

Lol it’s a video game. The grind and skill curve is steeper for survivor players. Playing killer is pretty mindless and easy across most ranks, and the skill development stops very early on in game play.

  • I live for a 4K. My fun is all that matters and I’ll bring in whatever perks, and do whatever I need to to get that 4K. It makes me feel powerful and tough, because in my real life I’m a nerdy lard ass with no social skills. Love playing killer, good post.

I run NOED, and yes sometimes it can get frustrating but you just need to counter it. Don’t get ballsy and teabag the killer. Just get out. Really, the only reason I run it is so I can get that extra jump on the survivor who does a gen in my face. I also use it to punish the teabagging idiots. Plus sometimes if can be fun. Like when playing NOED Gate Nurse! But, sometimes as soon as my NOED is active it is destroyed almost immediately.

It’s a crutch perk that rewards baaaaad killer players. It takes entire game hostage. Luckily you don’t see it hardly at all on ranks 1-6, but outside that baby killers love it. Sad.

I don't mind serious games when trying to rank up and be that rank 1 survived. However, I think this game could really benefit if there were other modes to farm blood points such as a none rank version.

Like I mean, matches get annoying as survived when hitting rank 2-3. Killers got all the cancerous perks, and I'd just have more fun farming bloodpoints in none rank matches

Killers would still play toxic without a rank. The draw to killer players is a sense of control. To feel empowered in a video game while taking out their anger on other people. There is no cure for that.

Its actually kind of embarrassing. It feels like the game is held together by ducktape, and its getting worse and worse with each update.

I was so excited for this chapter too.

Well killer takes very little skill to get good at. There is no grind or learning curve, so I got bored with it as well. Good post.

Trapper is the face of the game. Is the face of the game. And first killer in the game. But, it seems like he's always been in the F tier. With minor QOL over the years. But, here's my hopeful changes to get them out of there. And let's be real. He's never reaching S or A tier. In a game with Spencer's Last Breath, Yamaoka's Haunting, Phantasm, Blighted Corruption. Hunting Hatchets, and Blood Fury. He's not making it but he doesn't have to be the worst.

1.Trapper Sack base-kit. He is forced to carry one trap base all game and forces him to go out of his way to use his power. This will help this.

2.Set amount of Traps each game. I'm quite sure you can have only 4 traps in a game as a possibility. Stupid. Every game he is guaranteed a set amount of traps. I'm not sure however they should experiment with 6 then go on from there.

3.All his traps spawn in the middle of a map. This way depending on where he is he'll have easy access to his traps if need be. and no longer are traps on those hills in nowhere. But him starting with all his traps would do also.

4.RNG removed from traps. There is a set amount of time to escape a traps. 20 seconds on your own. 15 with help. So Trapper's can make an actual decision not up to RNG to go for a trap or not.

5.Add-on rework obviously with RNG removed everywhere else.

This is my changes to get him up the tier list.

Ugh can’t stand the trapper. What an unfun killer. Watching every step and you’re done if he gets you in basement. I dread the trapper.

So do you think it is a possibility we will get a Resident Evil Chapter 2? I honestly think we will eventually. There is just too much money they could make off of multiple characters. And some characters that won't work at all as skins such as Mr. X or Jack or whoever. They would have to be their own separate character and I think they would probably end up doing it. Like imagine it. It'd still make a ton of money, be very exciting, and just isn't a bad idea. and if we did what do you think it would be based on? And don't tell me Ethan Winters because he's not a possibility unless they wanna make a character with a blacked out face.

I hope if they do, they test it a bit more and we don’t have a repeat of this release.

  • @Reinami said:

Against most survivors, and even at the high level play team Oracle for example, everyone agrees that a killer MUST have some sort of game delay, or gen regression perk. Well, let's look at all of those perks that are classified as game delay/gen defense:

    • Corrupt Intervention (Plague)
    • Dead Man's Switch (Deathslinger) *also a bad perk
    • Dying Light (Myers) *also a bad perk
    • Eruption (Nemesis)
    • Hex: Huntress Lullaby (Huntress) *also a bad perk
    • Hex: Ruin (Hag)
    • Oppression (Twins) *also a bad perk
    • Overcharge (Doctor) *also a bad perk
    • Pop Goes the Weasel (Clown)
    • Surge (Demogorgon)

Now, if we only look at the good perks, you basically have:

    • Corrupt Interention
    • Eruption (Usually has to be paired with something else)
    • Hex: Ruin
    • Pop Goes the Weasel
    • Demogorgon

Do you see anything in common with all of these perks? They are all teachables. With the exception of Hex: Huntress Lullaby, which is an extremely terrible perk mind you. The rest of them require you to spend shards or money to access a killer. Then you must level that killer to 40, to get their teachables, then level the killer of your choice to get the perk you want.

There are no gen regression/defense/slowdown perks that exist as baseline perks. NOED is basically your only other option if you don't take some sort of gen defense.

Thus, if you want to nerf/change Hex: NOED, you first need to give a VIABLE gen defense perk as a baseline non-teachable to give people some sort of alternative.

It won’t be an unpopular opinion on here. In the reaL world, yes. Noed rewards killers who didn’t play well all game, and in a big way. I see why killers on green to brown might need it but there’s no excuse at high ranks.

  • @EldritchElise87 said:

Survivors have indicators regarding status that can affect them and the killer, they know if they are exposed, or a killer is undetectable on the map.

Borrowed time is a must-take perk and when used smartly by a team with the right perks, goes from being an anti camping tool to making no-win situations for killers on a regular basis. As with DS, it goes from "stop from being tunnelled" to "invincibility shield to abuse"

Showing the killer a small icon by a survivor portrait who has the endurance status effect would still allow the status to function, it would still be capable of tanking a hit, only it would at least give the killer the information to play around it, and encourage killers to go after the unhooker (which they should be doing anyway) rather than using it to tank a free hit.

    Thoughts?

Lol why don’t they just plop survivors in a small open field, in the dying state, with no objective? Would that be enough for you? That way you can get your 4K with zero effort, and feel super cool and powerful in the process. Awesome.

    4. Beast of Prey (Huntress Perk) This one I am debating on and I feel is interchangeable.

My thoughts for this build is... I obviously have BBQ for surveillance around the map. It also pairs nicely with Iron Maiden if and when survivors realize you are running BBQ and of course you can catch them when exposed. It is also nice for faster reload speed in lockers for huntress. Save the best for last helps with her slower movement speed.

I hear A Nurses calling and Discordance are good on her as well. So maybe I'd switch out 3. and 4. for these two.

Iron Maiden seems so stupid IMO. Does it ever work in the killers advantage? You could use no perks and get a 4K with her busted hit boxes and heat seeking hatchets.

They were iredecent for a reason. And it's not like there were used that often. Now there usless.

They should be deleted. Games already killer sided and gives them option to take entire game hostage.

Calling me bad? I would destroy you in a 1v1. No need to underestimate me. Do you get tunneled/camped in your games? If so, does it make you happy?

    Got him!

Is the distance of an entire lunge longer than that of a Dead Hard? Sometimes I can get hit through an entire Dead Hard so I didn't know if it was actually longer of if it's just latency.

It’s longer than the que times in 2018. Lunge should be nerfed a bit I think or killer base speed should be lowered to like 4.2.

Yeah, I did not find it too obvious as I nearly fell for it xD

It’s not bait. They call anything I post as bait because they cannot answer honestly. The fact is they play killer because it’s easy. They just don’t like to admit it.
