Its the launch of the resident evil dlc and the star of the dlc is so underpowered its not even worth playing him.

Make his first hit, infect and damage and he’ll actually be playable. And instead of waiting 2 years to change him do it soon. What a bunch of useless devs, sure hope other companies are looking at this and having 2nd thoughts about having their brand in this game in the future. Seeing how bad youve managed to treat the resident evil brand is sickening

Just learn to play him. You can’t just be lazy and demand buffs on already op killers. That is why you see so many red rank killers without skill. They never had to improve or practice. It’s a huge issue in dbd now, as you can see on this forum.

  • @bibibib8 said:

That perk make me rage so often i stop counting. I spawn i see 3 survivor on different gen at the start. My first though is do i dc or try to salvage this game and go for a 2k its really not fun when your not even 10 sec in the game and you already know the outcome

Really? Lol. What else would survivors do? Should they wait in the corner until you down a few to start their objective? You cant be serious.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

I get lots of Bubbas but oddly for me they don't camp and aren't that toxic.

Are you on ps4? Which rank? Im

on ps4 at rank 5 after reset and it’s all they do. Camp and tunnel non stop. Maybe it’s a ps4 thing?

  • @TruffleTurtle said:

Which exhaustion perk so you pefer to use and which one do you think is overall stronger.

In my opinion, I like sprint burst way more as it allows me to work on unsafe gens and make them safe by sprint bursting away and sometimes with sprint burst it just makes the killer not chase you with the distance you gained. But overall I would say Dead Hard is better because of the extra time wasted for the killer

Sprint burst. I’ve yet to trust dead hard to work in most cases so I stopped using it. If you can master the timing, dead hard seems better.

  • @TicTac said:

I see all this threads about tinkerer, dead hard, noed, even bbq. But imo they are all fine. What we need right now is buffing weak perks, not nerfing stronger ones.

Noed is a little exception bc it feels annoying if a facecamping killer gets one kill more, but its not op and when the killer played the match to win and not to facecamp from the start its a deserved powerboost imo.

But back to the point. DS, Object, Undying etc were perks which really deserved a nerf and the time spend for it was worth it. No perk right now is similar to them. So bhvr ressources could be really used for more important things like monstrous shrine and co for example.

Only one I think is the worst is Noed. It rewards killers for playing awful all game, so they never develop any skill. With new totem locations, it’s so hard to even find a totem let alone all 5. Most skilled killers luckily don’t use this but it’s a busted perk all around.

survivir perks are boring and all mainly for anti tunneling or slugging, but nothing that can take the entire game hostage. Good post.

  • @HulkRogan said:

So I recently noticed that not even a week after the RE chapter was released, BHVR patched the bug for delinking those sets. While their game was having server issues that screw players out of their items, add ons, their BP, and their time. Even today I got a merciless game on Nemesis and once it ended, I got a player level error message and I didnt get anything from that match. Anybody know why they don't prioritize bigger issues over stupid cosmetic delinking?

What makes most money? That is all bhvr cares about nowadays. They know almost nothing about playing their own game. They tweeted for players to use two exhaustion perks a few weeks ago as the “best build”. Lol

  • @Mattie_MayhemOG said:

Because he can down everyone in a single attack.

However I disagree that all Bubbas play that way, I know I don't. I would suggest that if this has happened to you that you not run toward the basement while being chased or if you see a teammate in the basement you not follow them down. Do the gens and leave.

Almost every one I face has done this. Wraiths too honestly. I hear that chainsaw and just want to be in any other lobby. I’m always much happier when I see Billy over bubba lol.

  • @selflessnea said:

How are they playing toxic? Camping in basement as Bubba isn't toxic and however you formulated that opinion is wrong. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it "TOXIC". You are also not the one who can dictate how the killer plays to have fun. Maybe they like having chill games where they down one survivor and stay near them the entire time they are on hook.

Oh ok. I forgot this is killer main central on here. Fact is it’s a crap way to play and only serves to take the game hostage. However, I’m sure that idea is lost on you. Bubba main? It’s toxic and something you usually only see on bubbas and rank 15-20 killers with zero skill.

  • @HulkRogan said:

Tonight I hopped onto DBD to try and do the protection hits tome challenge. I played Ash so I could use MoM to get more hits. I don't have any of the meta sweat perks on Ash so I was just going to have fun. As soon as I touched a gen I could tunneled and camped out of the game. I got farmed by teammates and I depipped. I was almost to red ranks. Why do I get punished for the killer playing like an #########? Why do I get depipped?

Game allows killers to take it hostage and depending on the mental state of that player, can really make the game awful. It’s sad but I’ve been there too.

  • @crixus006 said:

I think this represents how powerful it is to face a team of 4 survivors. And as only spirits AND nurses They are the only killers that can stand up to swf Because the other killers don't have enough skill

Well they can’t build the game around red rank swf teams. That is not representative of the casual player base. I’m not a fan of tru3. I find him pompous and entitled. He complains about everything but his lack of skill, while getting mostly 4K games. It’s a joke.

  • @gilgamer said:

I dont really blame survivors for bringing the same perks over and over again the meta hasnt really changed for them for quite awhile now, they havent gotten anything new really as far gameplay implications in who knows how long all they've gotten is few perks here and there that are usually not even worth using. Killer at least has variety in gameplay from killer to killer but its not like any survivor plays differently then any other survivor.

    Exactly. Well said.

  • @Lucent said:

All I ever see is BT, sprintburst, DH and Unbreakable. I mean mix it up. it isn't fun. 'oh look there they go again, running off.' them, 'waa killer tunneled'. well yeah, you unhooked then ran lol. of course i did. sheesh.

They don’t give much perks to really make much of a difference outside of anti tunneling perks. Killers have perks that can take the entire game hostage.

what would you have survivors use? No mither, slippery meat, maybe premonition? Lol.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    I’m talking about standing pallets.

Give it a massive cool down for all I care, or a token system like Coup De Grace. SOMETHING, PLEASE!

But some loops are so infuriating with how it’s possible for “just out of reach” survivors can get in 4, 5, 6+ laps before they drop the damn pallet. It’s really aggravating that there’s a base Entity mechanic to stop Survivors abusing the same vault, but nothing that can stop Survivors doing this many laps around a loop with a pallet if the survivor has favourable spacing.

THIS is the problem in this game, not gen times. Looping taking absurdly long times In comparison to how much repair time that can be done.

Well that’s the point. It takes a while to get good at looping so why constantly penalize survivors who practiced to get good at game? They can’t hit back, are slower, and have abysmal perks used mainly to combat tunneling.

killers have become so used to easy 4K games and have made that their definition of fun. It’s too bad as it really makes the game unfun.

  • @justalilbit123 said:

lmao killer has been nothing but a test of stress and patience for years op

The stats don’t lie. Most games are 4K for killer. If your sweating for a 4K every round, that’s a you problem my friend. Hang in there.

You read nothing about the post and just decided to jump on a get good rant.

Where did skill ever come into play in this post and where did getting killed ever come into play in this post.

If you want to try to derail somebody's post at least try to make it not so blatantly obvious that you didn't even take a second to glance at the post

You’ll get better with new update, you’ll have too.

    Title

They only camp and tunnel I’ve noticed. Like a bubba in a new skin.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

The frame drops have made killer extremely frustrating to play. It's been an exercise in misery trying to slog through this.

Well the issue I think most killers will run into is they aren’t used to developing skill. You get 4K games at rank 18 and it never ends. Survivors have a much harder grind which is why they’re so good at red ranks. Killers need a higher skill curve to learn to compete. Plus if your definition of fun is a 4K match, that just means you’re the only one having fun. That’s an issue in itself.

  • @Botiz said:

At first, playing against it I kinda just laughed it off, but now it's getting rather annoying having to deal with a stun AND blind (basically getting punished) for attempting to defend your generators as killer... if this starts to become a frequently used perk, I can definitely see an increase of killers resorting to using Ruin/Undying over PGTW so that they don't have to kick generators.

I don't feel it's that huge of a deal if only one survivor uses it (though can still be fairly annoying), but when there's 2 or more survivors using it, there's potential of being stunned by it like 3-4+ times per match.

That's just my thoughts, how are y'all feeling about it?

Lol it’s awesome. It’s nice to make killers actually have to work and be more aware.

  • @Rivyn said:

Yet keys are still unresolved. Rather interesting, no?

4K ratio is over 70%. They can’t build a game around red rank players who play 6 hours a day. Mmr might help you match with players who are equal skill wise.

  • @PNgamer said:

Your Action speeds in Repairing, Healing, Sabotaging, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing, Opening, and Unlocking are increased by 2/4/6%

i find that 6% is alot...... and def. to much

    • Skill Check
    • Trigger odds are increased by 10 %.
    • Skill Check Success zones are reduced by 10 %.

10% ? is to less... for newer players ok...for exp one to less

Whenever the Killer is looking in your direction when within 36 metres of you, Spine Chill activates...ok but

36 m ???? to much too, why ?... it´s not only that spinechill get activate with his functions...no it´s an big information for the current survivor that the killer is incomming too. Also it´s much more easier if you play with an swf ( sfw = voice = more information. With Spinechill = much more information ) wich is bad for the killer, specially if you want to play a stealty tactic, with some perks, offerings or killer´s ( example Ghostface ) and stuff like this. I mean we have alot of killer´s with 24m terrorradius, or some slower ones ect.

If you ask me....This Perk is good for newer players but not for the most of us, the experience ones.

Also the biggest problem is that this Perk destroying all the scare effects and jumpscares wich is bad for dbd, cause it´s an horrorgame. But that´s only my opinion. Any other opinions ? Let´s discuss

Sure if they get rid of bbq and that new nemesis killer perk where he sees everyone at start of match for 9 seconds. How’s that sound?

  • Also I’m only safety pipping most games even if I survive.

  • @GenJockeyNance said:

I've played quite a few games today and it's just given me the black pips or safety pips aka just 0. Especially in instances I know for certain I should have pipped / de pipped.

Yep. I’m rank 7 and stuck on it. I actually had a round I double pipped and it said I was suddenly rank 20 and it removed all my perks. So I can’t advance of derank.

  • @ThatOneNea said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2283469#Comment_2283469

That's the worst take ever. Killers being toxic doesn't mean you should dc. Report them and move on. If everyone just dc-ed whenever they wanted, there would be no matches left to even play.

Sounds like someone is upset they can’t play toxic. Go figure. This entire forum is a killer main complain fest. Us survivor players are honestly sick of it.

  • @RockScorpion384 said:

    They get:

    infinite pallets

    infinite windows

    infinite loops

    stuns

    blinds

    speed boosts

    fast gen speeds

how much more hand holding do these kids need. Literally about to uninstall this trash game already due to how much bias there is to 1 side. Give killer more power ffs

Where? Each map has removed pallets, boarded up windows. The 4K ratio is over 70% across the board. The majority of games are 4K outside red ranks. Games massively killer sided. Fortunately this forum is all killer mains so you’ll get plenty to agree with you.

  • I wanted to provide counterflow as I know 90% of users on here are killer mains. Similar to Reddit, they bully survivors off the forums if you say anything about killers being op. So I come to provide an alternate opinion.

  • I think most killer mains are used to op easy to play killers from the start. Maybe you’ll have to work at playing him to get good, like with nurse players. Give it a try.

  • @onemind said:

So with the new chapter trapper got some changes not to any numbers but looks

With his visual relook the also changed how his bear traps look

They took the yellowish caution sign out of the trap and made it more of a natural dark color like how bear traps look

What do you think of this change

Nobody likes the trapper. He’s annoying and gets free downs through traps while already being faster than survivors. Trapper, doctor, wraith, and ghost face are the og try hard killer choices and they all play the same.

  • @Ruma said:

So i got 1650 Auric cells right now from past rifts etc.

I want to spend them but i cant decide for who.. I want them to spent them on a killer.

    I am thinking about:

Trappers Krampus Outfit, (Dont play him that much but i love that outfit)

Huntress Mordeo Outfit. Problem is you can also buy it with shards but it takes ages.

Some cool doctor outfit (I also dont play him that much, still more often than trapper tho)

Clowns ,,Egg-Uberant" outfit. Problem is i dont know if its worth it since i already got alot of cool outfits for clown.

A Outfit for demodog which one i also rarely play

Onis Minotaur outfit WHICH I ALSO RARELY PLAY

Sadly my mains dont really have any super cool outfits. :(

(Myers, Nemesis, Deathslingerand Pyramid head, also got the only cool putfits for them already)

The Minotaur is dope. I always like seeing it.

  • @Ruma said:

I dont care, increase the timer to 1000 seconds and make it tank 10 hits but [BAD WORD] remove the option to bodyblock the killer so they cant down the rescuer. Its so annoying. And then they proceed to complain i tunnel them.

I dont have anything against the perk itself, its just [BAD WORD] annoying if you REALLY want to hit the rescuer and this guy just tbags and bodyblocks you, knowing there is NOTHING you can do right now.

Maybe leave the hook so you don’t have to deal with anti tunneling perks? Just an idea.

  • @odra said:

Why makes killer players more miserable with this patch ? I don't think demo nerf is necessary, also there's much things to do than nerfing killers and nerfing Franklin.

There's a lot of task left such as Spirit Counterplay ,Billy Rework, Dead Hard, Nurse Bugs, and so on

Because the 4K ratio is over 70% outside red ranks which means the game isn’t fun for casual players. Rank 18 killers are getting easy 4K games and they don’t have to get better or even try until maybe purple ranks. For casual players the game is brutal for survivor.

the biggest mistake this game makes is building around 5000 hour red rank players, and the fact only killer mains go on forums or Reddit the majority of the time and bully anyone who says anything about killer builds, is why you have a one sided game. I know that 4K is important to you all but it means 1 player out of 5 gets to have fun. That isn’t fair.

  • @PNgamer said:

well nemesis is to weak and no fun

    Lol. Poor thing.

  • @En3ermost said:

Imagine getting mad at the killer for pressing M1 or nodding at you while on the hook. Grow up.

It’s funny. On this forum killer players always have an excuse but love to point finger at survivors. Your comment is a perfect representation of everything wrong with this game.

  • @JordanMalicious said:

If the survivors are good, getting a 4k as killer feels awesome, and stressful haha. However, it seems a lot of the time when I play survivor, killers who do well also BM survivors while they die. If you feel the need to act like a jerk even while winning, you seriously need to reevaluate how you are choosing to act. Only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. If you're a killer who does this, help me understand why? I play more killer than survivor and I don't do this stuff to survivors.

It’s pretty common. I’ve played 5 rounds today and have not escaped once. I’m a rank 5 at moment. Each killer is tunneling, camping, and acting rude to survivors on hook. I am wondering if it’s all the kids off school or what?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Oh yeah because getting grabbed and instantly killed and being forced to wait 20 minutes is so much more fair.

Where? My squad played f13 exclusively for a year. We don’t get grabbed instantly.

  • @ThirdSealOPplzNerf said:

Hex ruin and pop goes the weasel are the most used because they have the highest effectiveness for regressing gens better. But the devs decide to nerf pop goes the weasel? Instead they could've buffed surge to have no cool down and instead of 8% make it 20% by any attack or how about the new perk the regression can be 30% and incapacitated for 20 seconds but it keeps the cool down.

These are just my ideas and don't have to be limited to gen perks but I don't understand pop doesn't have a cd yet other perks do and they're significantly worse with more setup or restrictions like basic attack only. there could be so much improvement and much more perks being used but it's mostly restricted to the same meta for anti gen for years like Come on devs...

Killers have perks that take entire game hostage and that shouldn’t be the case. Noed being an example.

killer mains like to compare that to ds which is a few second stun if you’re being tunneled. There is no comparison.

  • @C3Tooth said:

Here is the template, let me go first. If you main a single side, you can blanking it.

    Survivor:

    • Fun: Being in a reasonable length match, able to do a little of everything: have a chase, rest on a hook, protection hit, do a Gen, hunt some totem...
    • Goal: Escape at the end.

    Killer:

    • Fun: Able to put alot of pressure on survivors, force them to work really hard.
    • Goal: 3-4 kills.

For both sides, either having Fun or Goal satisfies me. But Fun > Goal. I accept to die as survivor ; or make the last mistake and they all escape as killer, if I already have my "Fun".

I just want to play the game and get some points before I get tunneled, hit through a vault, or face camped. Lately it’s harder and harder to have a good match. I’ve noticed nemesis players play like bubbas, so that is unfortunate.

As long as they keep building the game around red rank streamers, it will become less and less playable for casual players.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

I absolutely despise this add on. I always have.

It’s now significantly worse to deal with now that Wraith can get much, much closer before seeing his shimmer both because of his base speed increase, and the distance at which he has total invisibility.

Everything else with Wraith i’d say is balanced, but “All Seeing” - Blood is just awful, and unfair.

    Idea.

What if it were changed to compliment one Wraiths unique existing base abilities?

“All Seeing” - Blood. While cloaked the auras of disturbed crows are revealed to you.

Because Wraith doesn’t disturb crows while cloaked, this could act as map wide Spies, with actual survivor counterplay to be more stealthy around perched crows.

They won’t fix it. Most players on forums and Reddit are killer mains and they bombard bhvr with comments about how hard killer is (while getting 4K games each match). If you disagree they mob and bully you, and tell you you’re just a bad survivor player. So bhvr only hears from killer mains. It’s sad but it’s dbd.

Everyone gen rushes. If you want ez win with Michael. Indoor Map and VANITY MIRROR

What is gen rushing? Do you kill rush when playing killer? Should survivors sit in corner of map as a courtesy at the start of each round?

  • @Gnarly said:

He is super easy to play. He just gets too move fast and gets a free hit if he catches in the right place. Not to mention his add ons are some of the best a killer can have.

Every Wraith I've faced seems to bm anytime they get while also bringing some basic perks that work with any killer. ToO some he might be fun, but I don't get it...

When you play Wraith you are missing out on actual fun killers and just are running fast, then you whack. Kind of just always been a flawed concept.

Now he isn't UNFAIR, he isn't GOD TIER, he isn't BAD either. He just the peak boring killer. If you think someone is more boring, I get it, just at least every other killer has something that makes them stand out.

Not Discouraging anyone from playing him, just needed to see if I am alone on this. Who is boring to all of you? Comment below.

Every wraith I’ve seen plays the same. They down the first player then proxy camp the hooked player and hit whoever tries to rescue. Repeat as needed. I always roll my eyes when I hear that bell becayse I know it’s a bogus match.

However, this is a prime example of why an auto-ban system cannot ever work in this game. This was completely unprompted, I did not even get to message out gg's before the guy messaged me.

Even when confronted with the truth that tunneling, camping and slugging is not bannable, they still act like they'll abuse the ban system when it arrives.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ATOQ3184OB5Y/inkedwhy-tho-li.jpg

Did you camp and tunnel though? Try and remember there are others playing who want to have fun. So many killers forget that and ruin the whole game.

  • My buddies want to go back to f13 too for a bit. This game is too frustrating on both sides.

  • @Gnarly said:

I can't explain how much of a mess this update is. I genuinely don't mind the balance patches, but did those like destroy the game? What happened to cause all these issues? Was the PTB this bad? Should I stop playing a game I enjoy because it's now unplayable?

300K bloodpoints isn't going to make up for the dlc promising a map that I haven't gotten to actually play yet. 300K bloodpoints won't make up for time I lose trying to finish the Rift because of the games state. 300K bloodpoints won't fix the game being unplayable.

I want this game to be playable again, it has it's issues before, but now I can't participate in this game till it goes back to working like a normal game again. I don't blame you if you are going to wait as well.

HMU when the game is fixed with these game destroying issues please.

Imma go play Nioh 2 or maybe even Fortnite. Those games work.

This is the worst I’ve seen since I started playing. The connection issues, invisible pallets, the dc penalty if you get booted, and no new map. It’s an all around disaster.

    My best horror themed experience.

    Don't want to ramble on into an essay, so I'll start with my bullet points;

    1. The opposition is not a limited AI designed to be beaten

    2. Teammates can be a mix of strong focused allies or weak panicky dead weight

    3. Even the best preparation can leave you in moments of confusion or uncertainty

    4. Risk factor can force you to make tough decisions with fatal consequences for yourself and teammates

    5. Killer add-ons can make the same killer feel completely different from a previous encounter.

    6. Killer variety when present, can force you to alter personal approach to interactions

    7. Limited resources in key areas raise the necessity to minimize early mistakes

    8. There is no guarantee of redemption from a players first failure

    9. Playing the martyr actually feels rewarding since you can see the results and it's not for an NPC

    10. Escaping chase is a result of playing well and not a designated action to secure safety (some loops don't apply)

I like it for the most part. I’ve had a lot of really toxic killer players the last two days which has made it rough, but maybe it’s due to rank reset.

  • @Northener1907 said:

Why all maps survivor side? Killer is hated role, is that reason? Lets really discus about this. What is reason? Survivors already strong role with numbers, why survivors have all advantages?

I know someone will come and will say "Hawkins and Silent Hill is killerside" but they are not actually. This maps have different loop than other maps. You just need keep loop longer, not on one pallet or window. You have to use 3 and more pallet for loop in one area and both maps have so much pallets already.

Reworked maps are super survside. And devs adding funny breakable walls. "Killers have already so much time so lets add breakable walls and make them more busy."

Lol. Maybe just put us in a field with no perks so you can get a 4K instantly. Would that be better? My lord.

  • @piggygooik said:

I love nemesis he is so cool . His tentacle can be really strong, but i saw one of Scott’s vid and the tiers really don’t do anything the best tier is tier 2 since you can break pallets so their really is no reason to get to tier 3 since it’s only a one meter range boost to his tentacle attack.

his zombies are neat maybe one more but that’s because is don’t really know how they work. They seem to just scramble around. I heard they go to noise notifications which if true then they are not bad.

No. I think this game suffers from op killers already who can take the entire game hostage. They build around red rank streamers who play for hours a day, and us casual players suffer for it.

the 4k ratio is 60-70% already. That means 1 person out of 5 is having fun each match. I know it’s not the popular narrative on this forum and I’ll likely get bullied for saying so, but killer is already so easy.

  • @GannTM said:

Wraith has been one of the worst killers in the game for years and now that the devs have made him viable, he’s already getting complaints. Let me just say that he has literally the same play style as he used to except he’s actually good.

I’ve played against many Wraiths ever since his buff and still don’t have any problems when facing him. In fact, I find him even more fun to go against than before because there is a skill in being attentive and looking out for his shimmer and the noises he makes as there is much more of that in games due to his incredible movement speed. He also negates holding W which is a brain dead yet effective strategy for survivors. The long lunge that he has when coming out of cloak offers unique mind games for both sides to outplay the other, which is very fun. It’s equal opportunity for both sides which is something a killer like Spirit doesn’t have.

With that being said, I think the devs did a great job with Wraith and I’m of the opinion he’s in a great and healthy spot. If you find buffed Wraith unfun to play against, then that is totally fine as I’m not trying to change your mind or make you feel bad. Just remember that Wraith before his buff was a very weak, add on reliant killer but now that he’s good, it just doesn’t seem right that he’s already getting complaints when he’s the same killer from before except much better.

Where are these killers who struggle? Every game I see on YouTube is a 4K. As a rank 4 survivor, I die more than I escape. The stats show a 4K kill rate at over 60%. What exactly do you mean by viable? How much easier do you want it to get that 4K? They’ve removed a lot of pallets, boarded up windows, nerfed ds, etc. I could go on and on.

They can’t build this game around red rank killers when the majority of players are casual players who want to have fun without being instantly killed. Where are these hard to play killer games?

When someone disconnects I groan and roll my eyes. The match is pretty much a wipe after that (if its at the begining).

I always try and do gens but if the killer is showing no mercy and just wants us dead I won't stop them. I have no issue with it! Clearly that match is no fun for anyone so might as well move on to the next.

When a killer does show mercy or play more kindly that makes me happy ^^ still get bp and safety pip! When I player killer and someone disconnects I usually farm as well.

I get annoyed but sometimes understand if they’re being tunneled or camped, which I’ve seen a lot this week. Maybe it’s rank reset? Game has been very toxic lately and I’ve noticed the new killer players camp and tunnel as bad as bubbas. Lovely.
