That’s great but many of us have lives, jobs, families outside dbd so we don’t have time or the desire to play 6 hours a day just to win. Any other ideas?

That sure seems to be true. Odd group for sure. Good post.

Yeah killers have too many aura perks for this perk to be viable. They should buff it a bit honestly. Good post.

While this sounds good in theory, in practice, it probably wouldn't work, unless the "unique" perks were the niche ones that people rarely run. You couldn't have a strong perk -- like a DS/DH/UB/Sprint Burst/etc. -- be a unique perk, or you'd see nothing but the same survivors being run over and over again to make sure those perks were able to be used.
I think it would be a nice feature to have each survivor be able to utilize ONE of their perks better than other survivors could -- using your example, all Claudettes would have a buff to their healing (themselves and others) compared to other survivors, since that's their "thing". Not sure if mechanics like those could be implemeted in the game at this point without causing the already jumbled mess to melt down entirely, though.
Funny all the Mets survivor perks are anti tunneling, camping, and slugging. Yet also the most complained about ones. Seems most killers play pretty toxic.

Survivors with the MMR system will be paired with other survivors of the same level, which will greatly reduce the number of monkeys in games of decent level survivors.
This makes killer matches even more difficult, as there are people who don't understand that SoloQ isn't as bad as they think. 4 decent survivors, even if they don't communicate by voice, can have very good coordination, not at the level of a SWF, but it's still very high.
We've been asking for SWFs to be nerfed for years, and what we get is a buff to SoloQ. #########?
Don't get me wrong, I love that they buff SoloQ, my games when I'm playing alone will be so much easier, but I don't understand why they buff SoloQ without nerfing SWF first.
All this reminds me that they said a long time ago that they were going to make changes to the early game. When? Will they do it before they implement the MMR? Will SWF be nerfed before MMR?
I don't want to start with the debate on whether this game is survivor sided or killer sided, but with this change, anyone knows who it's aimed at...
TL;DR: MMR system is a buff to SoloQ and they still don't nerf SWF. SoloQ in itself with decent survivors is already good even if they don't communicate, but now it will be even better. They haven't even made the change to the early game that they said they would make a long time ago...
They can’t nerf swf. Who wants to play a game you can’t invite friends? Their sales would rank. Most casual players like myself just want to do a few rounds with buddies on the weekend and have fun.

In 10 games I have had at least 2 survivors DC during the game. 5 games I was playing survivor and the other 5 was killer.
This is getting out of hand.
Survivors are sick of the grind. Sick of getting into games and instantly chased and killed. Sick of op perks and killer builds. Games should be fun and playing survivor isn’t 90% of the time. You see the same killers on the same maps, using the same sweaty builds. The dcs are a reflection on morale.

Be nice if devs addressed why survivors dc vs penalizing them for not wanting to play an unfair and miserable game. Just an idea.

Why can killers gets a boatload of bloodpoints for playing like a douche but survivors can only get points if killers play in a nice and friendly manner? What is the point of survivors having options such as party streamers when it directly causes the killer to deny them? Every time there is more than one party streamer it is a large neon sign to the killer to slug everyone, camp, tunnel, etc. Just finished a match where the killer saw these offerings and he put on his mad angry cap and he actually got 26K and survivors about 5K-10K each. This is wrong. Bloodpoints should re-evaluated. Perhaps bloodpoints should be removed from the killer when they play in such a way so it promotes gameplay.
Also trolling as a survivor is sad. Do you have any outside hobbies or a job you could put this energy into? God bless.

I agree. I see matches where I’ll get 17k and killer has 32k. I’m last to die and killer camped and tunneled off hooks or bbq bounced from one down to another and then has Noed lol. It’s busted.

4 survivors and 5 totems. It just takes a couple of seconds to do one. If everyone does 1 or 2, then NOED will never be a problem.
Meanwhile survivors can have 4x Adrenaline and there is nothing the killer can do to prevent them.
Do it then. With new maps and totem locations, you can barely find one. I use inner strength and struggle to get one heal from totems.

My idea would be simiular like No way out. Hook every survivors once atleast to make it active once all gens are done.
Agreed. It’s a busted perk that rewards killers who have not earned it. I only see it on green and purple ranks mostly, but it doesn’t push killers to get better skill wise. It needs to go.

Just a thought i’d post to see what others opinions are on the matter. I’m always wondering how much different the games would be if the killers weren’t able to see the items of which survivors bring in. We aren’t able to see anything of what they bring, and soon we may not be able to see the mori’s. (As far as i’m aware, you can correct me if i’m wrong)
It’s disheartening to play the game knowing your going to be tunnelled and camped because one person decided they wanted to bring in a key. I usually hate using this word, but they all cause a “try hard” attitude with most killers, or they play super salty. We can’t see a Mikey’s Tombstone, or anything else that could change the face of the game for us. We don’t even know which killer it is to properly prepare. So I don’t see why killers get the advantage to build against items brought in.
This is just my personal opinion, and I would love to hear your input as well!
I agree. You’ll likely catch some flack on here as it’s mostly killer mains with a complex, but they shouldn’t see our items. Just makes them equip differently or lobby dodge. Good post.

Game 2: SWF flashlight clicking survivors and I 4k. God that felt amazing.
What makes you feel so great while playing DBD?
I enjoy being able to play the game while not ruining the experience for other players. So everyone gets a chance to get points and participate. If you approach it as your fun is all that matters, you’ll see a lot of dcs. Pretty ######### mindset honestly.

Sorry for the book, I'm very passionate about NOED being a solo queue destroyer. Understandable if you don't read, I don't blame you. ❤
That's why i don't NOED should be nerfed but totem counter should be implementedI agree and while we're at it, make NOED even stronger since SWF or not, you have no excuse to not have totems done.
Also the perk existing in the pool itself giving value applies to a lot of survivor perks. Soul guard, Unbreakable, DS, Power Struggle. I have to play like everyone has those at all times.Soul Guard, Unbreakable, Power Struggle [paired with Flip-Flop] is countered by simply not slugging. That takes only 3 seconds to do after recovering from a successful attack by pressing Pick Up. Let's say you need to slug, you have exactly 32 seconds [23.70 secs with Unbreakable] to do whatever you need to do and get back for the pick up. If you're in a situation where you're slugging multiple survivors, I don't think them recovering would even matter if you have such a tremendous amount of pressure. It would only matter in edge cases, but those are apparently the only ones killers seem to bring up when they talk about Unbreakable. However, they never talk about the other games where they didn't slug and made any survivor who were using the perk, have essentially 3 perks for the game.
As for DS, there's many conditions and a timer attached to it. Therefore, for you to get hit by DS:
- You gambled on them not having DS by picking them up
- Survivor's DS is active by meeting all requirements and the timer hasn't expired
It's very difficult to get hit by DS whereas NOED, it's almost impossible to avoid it unless you and your team throw the game. Solo queue really does make killer perks seem more powerful than they really are, but it's even worse for killer perks designed to destroy solo queue.
Anyways, as for combining perks such as DS and Unbreakable, that's all countered by not tunnelling then slugging unhooked survivors. You're essentially removing 2 perks for any survivor running this combo, which is very nice. Granted it removes your ability to slug / tunnel, it doesn't matter since they aren't required to win unless you're playing a low tier killer. However, at that point, our attention should be placed on making low tier killers better since killers shouldn't need to slug / tunnel to win. Key word, need.
So survivors have no excuse not get all totems but killers can let all gens go and get rewarded at end game? Seems logical .

Moris were nerfed to pieces. Understandably so, they were unfair to the survivors. But honestly, survivors are favored so much in high levels (SWF or high solo survivors) that when I was an upcoming Killer player, I enjoyed Mori games because it actually created a challenge for these top survivors.
What disturbs me most is that keys were not reworked or nerfed at the same time. Keys only benefit SWF on comms (sometimes screwing any solo survivors which I've seen many times). Additionally, they break the game, requiring teams to get fewer gens completed to gain access. They are unfair to killers in almost the same ways as Moris were unfair to survivors.
Yet, the Devs only vaguely reference a key rework. Its honestly frustrating to the killer player base (and mildly frustrating to solo survivors who get screwed by the key). The Devs acknowledged there was a killer shortage, I suspect that will continue to be a problem.
I know. Everything is survivor sided. I mean sure I get a 4K most rounds and they removed pallets and windows but still. We shouldn’t have to try to get kills! Plus those pesky survivors always doing gens like it’s their objective. Makes me so mad!!! Also what with borrowed time and ds? How can I camp and tunnel with those op survivor perks?
-
Agreed but they’ll fix it. They care about that money so it’ll be fixed. As long as they get 10.00 per outfit, they’ll keep the game running lol. I think they need new hires and people with a bit more skill.

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with the TL loop, it's increasingly one of the major headaches I have to deal with as killer. And it's on almost every original map. At least the imbalance in haddonfield is architecturally interesting, the TL loop is boring and also only solvable by the survivor making a mistake. If the killer doesn't know how to solve the loop it's functionally infinite. You should not be forced to look up youtube tutorials because of a single map tile in this game. It's bad enough playing killer with the insane amount of bully swfs in this game, but the TL loop gives them a huge tool to annoy killers with. It's literally stronger than the shack loop.
Please remake this map tile, it's the single most painful map tile to deal with as killer and it keeps showing up no matter where I go. At the very least quarantine it to coldwind since that's a lost cause anyway. I'm tired of solving this puzzle over and over.
Just go play deer hunter if you want easy mindless kills. You killer mains are so entitled with the constant 4K games. What more do you want?

Survivors being toxic isn’t game breaking where as with killer, they can take an entire game hostage if they’re in a bad mood. Survivors play to have fun. Killers play to get a 4K. It will never be fully balanced as the grind is so much different between killer and survivor. It’s refreshing to see a good survivor or survivor team.

What are you even talking about? I mention Spine Chill screwing GF and Myers. And now you're on about DS and NOED? This literally has nothing to do with my thread. But to answer your question, Calm spirit counters doctor, Spine chill counters GF and Myers.
Also for the love of god if you do not like NOED just go and cleanse the totems. On the majority of maps they are easy to find and if you still don't like it bring small game, detectives hunch, counterforce, or a map.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2288486#Comment_2288486
Well I did mention that Calm Spirit is just as a big of an offender as Spine Chill when it comes to messing with a killer, Doctor in that case. But no one uses it. If Calm Spirit was a very popular perk i would suggest it needs to get changed as well.
Also people need to stop saying it's a nerf. You can change a perk without nerfing or buffing it. They changed Thana to stop affecting healing but gave it more impact on gen speed, was that a nerf? I would rate it around the same power level after the change as it was before the change.
I disagree with Urban and Fixated being counters. If i'm setting off a Hag trap it's because i'm either running from the hag or i didn't see it. Urban isn't going to help in those situations. Same with torment trail. I only step in the trail when i'm running from Phead. I'm not getting much value out of urban evasion during a chase. Fixated is the same thing, i'm already trying to not get into a chase vs a spirit, so walking 20% faster isn't going to do much. If she does find me and phases, good spirits will just use sounds to figure out where you are, even if you are walking.
A great example is how Slippery Meat used to be a specific counter to Trapper. They changed it so it does not specifically counter Trapper anymore even though they kept it around the same power level.
In terms of perks countering each other. I'm not super familiar with all the interactions but i think in every case but one the survivor perk trumps the killer perk. Calm Spirit beats Infectious Fright. Quick n Quiet beats I'm all ears. Totem tracking perks being a hard counter to all Hexes. The only one i know where it's reversed is Stridor beating Iron Will and if you frequent the forums you should know all about how survivors feel about that interaction. But those are different from my points. A perk trumping another perk is one thing. A perk trumping a killers whole power and play style is different.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2288199#Comment_2288199
While it doesn't give a huge red arrow pointing at the killer, it does hard counter stealth. If my spine chill is perma lit up and i hear no terror radius, that means it's time for me to leave. And yes you can get around spine chill by crab walking to the gen. But answer me this, what do Myers and GF do when you have to look at the survivor to stalk them?
Your other points about forcing them to dead zones is just basic killer gameplay. Yes, Myers and GF can still go around and be epic M1 man. But every killer can do that. The whole point of Myers and GF is the stealth and stalk mechanic and we have a fairly popular perk that shuts that down and that is okay. But Stridor Spirit basically shutting down looping and making it into a guessing game? Well that is just unacceptable now. Asking survivors to not default to looping and instead try stealth vs a spirit is out of the question as far as survivors are concerned. But making GF and Myers players crab walk to gens and then not use their powers because of a perk and just be M1 man, well that is somehow acceptable?
I see you put a lot into that novel
above but I don’t have time to read that mess. Killers easy and requires no skill. That is why killers struggle in red ranks. Survivors have to grind and eventually get good, whereas killer tops out.

Once again, the same Leon brings the killer right back to me by sabotaging a hook, and despite having a really good chase, I eventually go down and there’s no hook sabotages in sight to save me.

Hi all,
Is it just me or are there wayy more disconnects than usual? Anytime someone goes down early they dip, and it’s really frustrating since it often means an auto loss/depip. It’s really disheartening, especially the killers still sweating after the disconnect. You don’t need to farm after a dc, but there’s no reason to play like an #########.
I had one game the other day with an instant dc, I assume because it was the swamp. After a long chase, I was hooked in the basement and camped to death. There’s no need for this, have pity on the people who are actually willing to not dc and have a decent game. As I said, you don’t need to farm, but you also don’t need to make the game miserable for survivors because they’re ######### teammates dc.
I’ve seen a lot but I understand too. The maps are seriously lacking since they removed so many pallets and windows. Throw that in with killers who are sweaty and using busted builds, and survivors are over it. Game should be fun, but it’s been more miserable lately. I think it’s due to devs only hearing from killer mains and red rank streamers, and building killers according to that. For casual players with outside lives, it makes the game unplayable.
