  • Unfortunately sigularity. Haven’t seen him since a week or two after he released. Makes me sad I play him a lot but never face him.

  • I want them to get rid of the auto aim. Better ranged attack then Deathslinger. This will not only increase the skill floor but deal with frustrations I have when playing Ghoul. So many times I try to swing off of something but the auto aim locks onto the survivor.

  • It’s really nice having a majority of games where it feels impossible to win. Admittedly me and my friend have been playing way more killer then survivor though that being said killer has also been a lot of fun. Could just be because it’s a relatively new game mode and both me and my friend enjoy getting to kill together, but I can certainly say I haven’t had any bad games.

  • Played a lot of killer tonight with my buddy, mainly running blight desthslinger. Most games we get 2-5 killed but are also having everyone on death hook. Been fun and glad I have a reason to play this game again.

thats one of many examples why judging by escapes/kills is so flawed.

SWF can make a difference between killer winning at 5 gens and 0 gens barely with all the stuff they had and the stats would be none the wiser.

While I agree states don’t tell the whole story(nurse having one of the lowest kill rates) if you are still getting 3-4 killed against a SWF and your complaint is that it’s happening at 0 gens this still isn’t a bad thing. I think killers being able to get a 4k at 4-5 gens is indicative of both bad gameplay design and matchmaking. Much like how survivors getting a 4 man escape is with only 1-4 hooks. Stomps are miserable to play against. It just sounds like you are asking for an easy 4k every game. If killers could see premade in lobby’s, lobby dodging would be even more.

Almost sounds like facing a sweaty swf squad is no fun … I wonder why.
Nah for real OP is on to something. The difference communication makes is quite big the official stats show that too. However this game is not easy to balance but that is mostly because bhvr as a dev company is not very good and keeps tripping over itself

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t it only around a 3% difference. Now granted those stats were from around a year ago so we do need to take them with a grain of salt. That being said I’m all for seeing who was paired up in end game lobby.

  • Honestly if BHVR can manage getting the license I would love to see a Strahd skin.

  • I don’t think so. The changes they are making for him in the upcoming patch. They are doing the right thing thoug making it not nearly as punishing spearing a healthy survivor by decreasing the distance they can make. Good start let’s see how this one turns out. That being said I would love if the decreased his terror radius again.

  • Im just happy I can run it again, yes while I could run it when I found out it was bugged I just kinda felt bad. Its an amazing skin and am exited to be able to run it again.

  • The problem is that’s not what the video is really about. It was just one part of the video. In large part it’s BHVRs lack of action when it comes to exploiting and giving up.

Over the years we have had countless exploits within the game that players abuse on both sides and BHVR taking way too long with both fixing them and or kill switching them till they are fixed. He probably just focused on the survivor exploits because they are way more obvious right now. He has allowed condoned exploiting too and it’s a lot easier to hid the name of a perk in an example match then a killer.

In terms of DCing outside of SM games it’s kind of a rarity. The thing is Otz plays DBD as a full time job and thus will encounter these situations a disproportionate amount of times compared to the average person.

  • To be fair twins rn is also bugged(Suprise Suprise) making them far stronger then what they should be right now. The recall time on victor when latched is way to short right now(at least I’m fairly certain it hasn’t been fixed yet). Once this bug is fix it should be fine.

  • BHVR’s sound and art team as always is killing it. While the gameplay of some of the new killers hasn’t been the best you can’t deny how cool they look and the killer TR music and sound design of them.

  • Not just rubberbanding but ever since the update my ping has skyrocketed. I usually play between 40 and 50 but I have been exclusively at over 120. The game might be connecting me to a different server for some reason but idk whats going on.

The stats were released for survivors of 40% escape rate in SoloQ…30.5% of course is based off your skill. (As mentioned)

Is 30.5% normal for soloq? No. It’s not normal.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MD8U6O3J445B/img-1699.jpeg

If I'm not mistaken didn't those stats exclude games with DCs and not count hatch escapes. If so that explains why they are on the higher end compared to some players. Currently tracking my stats rn and am running just slightly over a 35% escape rate excluding games with DCs. Even if escape rates were low at least give us games where it feels like we have a chance. I cant count how many games it just feels impossible to escape.

  • This is the situation we have found ourselves in. Playing solo Q feels like you are just qing up to die. Playing as killer has gotten boring/repetitive due to the ease of the game. I now find myself handycapping myself on killer and can still 3-4k just about every game that I want to. There are only a handful of games where I can say I couldn't get any more then a 2k and that is usually due to either me making a lot of mistakes or my opponents just simply being better then me. Simply put on killer as of right now you can almost always get a 3k simply but tunnaling someone out of the game. So long as you do it before there is one gen left its is a near guaranteed 3k.

If matchmaking was betting this could solve a some of these issues, we have seen what can happen if killers are put into a skill bracket equal to their skill level, the game becomes an actual tug of war between gens being done and pressure a killer is applying For me at least those are some of my favorite games. It wont stop camping and tunnaling(although I do believe these should be options open to the killer, they need to be disincentivize) however it will mean it will take longer for those downs to happen, or survivors will be getting gens done while this is hap[pining.

  • I wouldn't say he is the worst killer in the game. Plus I feel like some of his short commings can be solved with a few number changes. The only two things that are making him not as good is A) how much clutter there is in new maps now and B) the amount of invisible walls. They could make him much better by either increasing his move speed, decrease his reload time or revert his terror radius back to 24m. Not all three but one maybe two of those changes would go a very long way.

  • I have had to take a break from Hux for a while. Love the kit but it is genuinely exhausting to play with, the cameras not scanning when I can see almost the entire survivor, how inconsistent placing Bipods can be, and all of the effort of tagging someone can be undone in mid chase with no downside is infuriating and how redaliabalible emps are. I love this killer but right now it just dosnt seem like the effort I put into a match as Hux is rewarded.

It is interesting how you brought up the original versions of Decisive Strike. You know how I much I love the Old DBD, and I always try to participate in every discussion about it, but I honestly don't see this perk being mentioned often.

And to think it was a very important factor when playing killer. I am pretty sure I still know the proper way to dribble a survivor to the hook.

That was engrained in my head, watched a lot of youtube on the game back before playing and dribbling was one I defiantly remembered seeing, never understood why they did it though until I started playing. Part of me also misses old doc, and most of the pre reworked maps, and chainsaw Myers, and space Billy.

Wow thanks a lot now I realize how much I miss old DBD xD.

  • Maybe it’s just me but for me giving up is just something I find fundamentally wrong. I also used to play MOBAs a lot LOL and HOTS so my opinions of people leaving will differ then those who play this game. When every member of your team counts when you lose them it sucks a lot. If there is something in a game you hate so much that you are willing to leave and screw the rest of your teammates over then don’t play. After last night and this happening twice I am just going to take a bit of a break from solo q.

Truthfully I don’t have a solution or any suggestions on hooks suicideds because it wasn’t something I was considering and complicated matters even worse.

Should SM change? Absolutly. Should people just DC when she is in a game? Personally I don’t think they should. I think it’s fair to say we have too very distinct opinions on the matter and truthfully I always appreciate hearing from those people because it always makes me reevaluate my thoughts. I also dont want to dismiss other people opinions of the matter as well(admittedly I’m not too good with this). However in this case as of right now my feelings on this matter are not changing. They might tough only time will tell, most certainly wouldn’t be the first time.

  • @Pulsar said:

What do you want them to do?

Can't raise the DC penalty, it's already a ######### mechanic but raising it more promotes toxicity.

Apparently we can't change SM since the cult defends her and she's fine. Some reasonable people understand she needs changes though, so it's not everyone who plays her.

I feel like everyone knows her reputation at this point. Hate to say it, but if you queue as her, you kinda have to accept that. Nobody likes to play against her.

I don’t disagree with the fact that SM should be changed I think she has too many things in her kit. She reminds me a lot of post rework Freddy before the nerfs that came his way which ultimately have me a little nervous if they go the rout of just flat out nerfing her. That being said I personally don’t think DCing against her is justified or ever really(life gets in the way sometimes and if cheaters are holding the game hostage come to mind).

As for solution just do what some other games and put you in a leavers que ifyou pressed the leave match button. Put you with other players that DC often and once some condition is met then you can be out of leavers Q. Specifically this needs to be if someone uses the leave match button because there are times when you get DCed against your own will.

I play the game out but honestly I half-ass it. I have no energy when I see it's her. If I escape it's a win but if I die it's also a win. It's been awhile since I've had a team mate DC against her though, wonder if you were playing with a 3man swf who'd had enough SM for the day

Don’t think it was three but two defiantly were together.

If the 70% kill rate is because survivors DC, how is that the killer? 3v1, 2v1 will always be in the killer's favor. If survivors actually try that number should go down.

Thats why they need to make DC penalties for more harsh. I hate to say rework her because honestly she isnt that strong. The only thing I find a little annoying is that she gets both haste and gives the hindered status effect but overall I dont think she needs to be nerfed because of her being strong.

To be fair theres also this case even on killers that arent that bad. I loaded in as billy on coldwind. 2 people dc'd apon hearing my saw even. Just also a case of sometimes the punishment being to lax. I think games like overwatch have 5 to 10 minutes as starting points even.

Im so sick of people just DCing because they see a killer they dont like. I think its fair to say we all have those killers we dont like going up against but you dont DC against. Simply put if you can handle facing a specific killer then just well….dont que up in the first place. I dont want to be rude towards people but you are actively hurting the match for everyone else.

  • Dose it happen a good chunk of games, yes. As often as people say it dose probably not. We tend to remember negatives far more than positives. So say every one and four(this is based off if the games I have played and this isn’t me personally getting tunneled as well) games you get tunneled you will remember that one game a lot more then the other three and this it will feel like it happens more often then not.

  • I hate to be that person and that just goes to show how blatantly ignorant I can be sometimes but how are people using the unknowns cosmetics to be transphobic?

  • If a I or another service isn’t immediately tunneled out of the game at 4 or 5 gens then the game is ok. That being said this is the majority of my solo games right now and most games just feel unwinnable because of this. I know it isn’t fair to say killer cant tunnel at the beginning of the game. Still though can make for a lousy situation where the game feels like a garenteed 3k. On top of that the amount of people that just give up dosnt help either. If some survivors just didn’t suicided on their first hook then things might be a bit better.

SWFs are fine, they win only 3% more games than SoloQ.

This, there is almost no difference between SWF and solo outside of the top bracket. That being said as some have mentioned before they are typically more altruistic then your normal solo q people. Try to exploit this by capitalizing in the fact they will be gunning for the unhook. Especially in endgame NOED can work wonders in this situation .

  • For me it would be dredge. I love the way they flop on the ground while falling.

I think they should just make them all available, and let us choose the one we want.

Or even put them into the rift or something just a way to get to see them again. The other one that suck out for me was Blights background because of the menu music we got.

  • For starters it would be nice if he now didn’t lose 4 stacks of STBFL when shooting and hitting the obsession. But other then that I think they should just reduce his terror radius back down to 24m and maybe a few add on changes.

  • Well I’m happy it is an oversight and not an intentional change. Hopefully it will be corrected soon.

  • @JustAnotherNewbie said:

Do you escapes include both hatch and exit gate escapes? Can you also track down the rates at which you escaped via exit gates or hatch and in case of hatch, how many gens were done?

Also, did you ever dodge lobbies or just played with whomever you got?

And did you notice certain builds for killers who won/lost more or was there no correlation?

There were a total of 4 hatch escapes, didnt think of keeping track of gens will do for the next round.

  • I have started to take stats on my solo survivor games. While I only have 15 right now three games have had either a DC or suicided on first hook. First game was against Artist on Sanctum of Wrath and I had two survivors kill themselves on first hook. Both chases lasted less then 20 seconds each.

The second game was on Midwitch against a PH and there was a first hook suicide and the other two survivors immediately dced after the death.

The last was against Wesker on Coal Tower. This one though seemed like a legitimate disconnect. The survivor started running into a wall and then left.

The first two games absolutely I had something to do against how long chases lasted. The one against artist I think was also because it was artist because the survivors stuck around to tell Artist how her choice of killer was unacceptable.

  • At this point Nurse being hard is just sunk cost fallacy. Only takes a few games to learn her basics and after that your good to go and 2k most matches with ease.

  • I miss the pure chaos of the old ranking system.

  • Replace Yui with Jeff and I would agree.

  • Is this really the point we have come to in this game? Its simply just good manners to say GG. You have two option learn to swallow your pride or close the chat window if something like this upsets you this much.

  • Nah we should get a flying whale instead.

  • Personaly I would love to see William Birkin but I have no clue how he would work as a killer.

  • I hope not. I have already lost so much faith in humanity if this were to happen I might just reject my humanit and returne to monkey.

  • It makes me sad seeing people hate my boy blight so much. Started playing hi since realses and havnt played much of any other killer the ghost face. His add-ons are nuts and need a nerf. He imo one if the most ballenced bas kits though.

  • It would "ruin the ballance" which is a comoleat overstatement. Simply for accessibility reasons it should be added. I cant play killer for more then around an hour or so before getting a little motion sickness.

Again the main reason we were provided for not having it in the game is thay killers could see too much and would ruin survivor stealth tactics.

  • Personaly not looking forward to the legion changes. They absultly need it but I already hate facing them.

  • Even if it is not FNAF I just want a robot killer. I just like robots.

  • Simply put burnout. A break is a really good thing and I encourage people who have played for a while to do so. I just got back from about a year long break and been having a lot of fun with the game

  • Its like Tbaggong at the exit gate. BM when they can't do anything about it. However in this case all it dose is was time.

  • 100% agree. I use to take this game seroiusly and it had killed all enjoyment for me. Recently came back from a year long break and have been having a blast. I learned to just simply not care how I do and have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it.

  • No, this would make killers way too strong. Two is good because it allowes you to combo add-ons together that work well or shar the same effect while the effect not being too oppressive.

Examples: infitate T3 tombstone and after stalking adding.

Blight with alchemist ring and double speed add-ons

Pyramid head with triple range add-ons

There's a lot more but my main point is that three would be far too opresove.

  • There was a bug in the game that would cause this to happen. Fairly certain it was patched put but it could just another version of this
