  • A lot of killers play with their audio quite loud to hear that stuff. Useful for countering things like Iron WIll and the dreaded flashlight pallet blind after breaking. Anything to give them an extra advantage

I actually had to turn my headset volume down after breaking a pallet because the sound was so loud. Later went and turned the headset back up and lowered the game volume.
  • The only reason you'd need more than 2 is for the 3+ blink grab achievement or if you really like staring at the ground with a dim screen.

Mathieu said on the spotlight that when the survivor becomes an obssesion, killer and himself gets a benefits from this. HOWEVER, decisive strike gives only a benefits to the obssesion, killers doesn't get anything from this.

So what about if we rework the DS in that way, when they both gets a benefits from this?

If you're using that logic, then apparently Sole Survivor, Play With Your Food, Remember Me, and STBFL are all "incorrect" obsession perks. I don't think that both sides have to particularly benefit from obsession perks.

Play with your food and STBFL gives a survivor benefits in countering the killer, since those perks better works when you leave your obsession alive. Dying light gives a survivor an increased speed to altruistic actions. I agree with sole survivor and remember me being an incorrect.

Doesn't the obsession counter completely the effect of remember me and can open the exit gates at normal speed no matter how many stacks?

Theoretically yes. But this perk itself just encourage killers to tunnel the obsession, because the perk better works when your obsession is dead. So practically obsession doesn't get any benefits from this.

Not quite you'd typically want the ones sion alive as long as possible so you can get 6 hits for the maximum door time. Although it does encourage tunneling if the obsession is stealthy enough they can make it to endgame and make the perk worthless. I had a few games where I couldn't find the obession after the first few hits and they made ithe to near/ endgame before being found again. Dstrike is purely a detriment that doesn't even encourage them to "let you go " like PWYF or remember me does
  • He might have had a better chance if he went full antislug build and threw on no mither with tenacity if he think killers want to deal with dstrike
  • I would have liked it if you kept discontinued items like the moonlight bouquet. Had to kill that on my wraith when I prestige and felt a little bad because I'd never see it again.

Some will.. or they will adapt and suck it up. I hope they keep dodging.. cause I see only one outcome from it. The Devs will have to crack down on dodging and make it so you can't see anyone in your lobby other then 4 random people.. You won't see their profile.. names... ranks... levels.... clothing... items...

So the killer goes in completely blind which defeats the purpose of them being able to pick perks to counter items amazing.
  • I have suspected the matchmaking is [BAD WORD]. I'm rank 17, and have ended up with much higher ranked killers/servs in my games. And in those moments, I feel like I may as well give up. As a new player, I have no counterplay to those who have made their way into high ranks. I literally don't know what to do to stop them because I haven't scraped my way that high yet. It is VERY deflating when it happens.

I'm a rank 12 killer and I get purples and the occasional red rank along with sub 15so the matchmaking does need improvement.
  • While the last events did have farmers I prefer those to this. Lost the will to keep playing after particularly stressful and toxic games as killer while being survivor has me with potatoes and I'm uninterested in doing the grind to get out of sub 15s.

I get the event is competitive but when I have to face last second switch to clones, triple toolbox and several flashlight stalkers I'm done. Got what I wanted for huntress and the hair for Feng is just fine. Not worth my free time to get the last 2 coins for the dress.
  • If you mean they don't DC sure it may duck but it isn't that big a deal. Besides there's rank reset in a week or so
  • You could always mess with the files and change how they look, pretty sure that is allowed, seen alotta other people do it.

I personally changed the Decisive Strike logo to a pair of Crutches and NOed to a wheelchair

    It was fun

Editing files is against ToS and can get you banned for it. Sure it's just cosmetic but still
  • This is probably due to the event but I've heard complaints aboutthe emblem system making it too easy as well. Maybe once the event ends people will have to get serious again.
  • Through this entire event most of my time is in the stupid farm. Legions place once, sports place twice, auto wreckers a few times,  doctor's place a few times, swamp twice,  red oak maybe 3 or 4, and myers a few times
  • It's understandable why they do it.

You get boosted up the ranks too fast as killer. Most aren't ready to face 2000+ hour survivors who know every loop like the back of their hand.

Plus it takes too long to grind. As survivor you can put all your points into 1 character, as killer you need to level up every single one to make them playable.

I deranked one month after reset. I had paid for every single DLC character in the game so I wanted to use them, but I sure as hell wasn't going to play a weak killer like Pig or Freddy with unrelenting level 2, surveilance (pre-buff), iron grasp and monstrous shrine against the sweaty tryhard rank 1 survivors. It wouldn't be fun for me at all. Plus I wanted to try out Nurse and Huntress who play very differently to Clown who was my main at the time.

I had a blast. It wasn't about getting easy games, it was about getting enjoyable games. I didn't bring Billy or Clown and go tryhard, I just used weak killers or killers I wasn't very good with and it was less stressful.

Beyond that the game can be stale as hell in red ranks. It's pretty much P3 Claudettes with some combination of....

    Sprint Burst/Dead Hard/balanced landing
    self-care
    decisive strike
    adrenaline
    urban evasion
    borrowed time

That's it. It's soooo boring and tryhard. Always abusing the most broken loops in the game too. It's just sweat, sweat, sweat. I tend to hold back a bit after reset just to get some fun out of the game before boosting up to the tryhard ranks. The meta is stale as hell.

Thank you for your experience now I know I have to get all the dlc since the shrine takes an eternity and is unreliable. At least I know I'll have some fun with the other killers besides legion after I grind as survivor to defend my rank
  • Currently corn.
I keep getting stuck in cold farm purgatory despite no one ever using offerings
  • Played as nurse for a daily and after a blink my attack would land just a fraction off hitting a rock just next to them or a generator or tree. What a horrible time for a curse
  • I'm a wraith/doctor main and I suffer corn vision doesn't help that the entity actively works against me forcing me to face our future syrup/gasoline fields back to back up to 5 times in a row.
  • Hook camping has nothing try hard about it and only should be done if gates are powered or the killer knows a survivor is around to swoop in for a save
  • The point of the no recovery when running is because it allowed several sprint burst/dead hard in one chase killing way too much time. The perk would be pretty close to meta at least for swf on some maps with good loops are jungle gyms
  • I guess you are the real obession for the killer.

Then your weird urge of getting my entry down will become true. Just be patient and brush away your foam from your mouth.
If i still won't get disqualified, maybe you'll try to see from my perspective. Good luck!

Your logic is literally "I'm going to cheat and if caught I'll admit it. If I win I'll set a precedent that cheating is OK and that you might do it too."
  • I was called a c**t for not giving hatch as wraith on coldwind farm. Despite the fact that the last 2 could have lived if either one opened the gate before going for the save.

I was called a "camper" for hanging around a hooked survior despite seeing another following me to the hook causing me to look for them.
  • My best moment I think was completely silent wraith I would uncloak behind a tree or wall then zoom around to the generator and grab a survivor off. It was fun to do.

People complaining is a roundabout way of showing they care about the game.

The day people stop complaining or posting on these forums is the day the dev's should be worried about people losing interest.

So I don't see it as a terrible thing as such if done in a reasonable way.

One trend I noticed in games I like with the exception of Mabinogi is that the complaints start to turn into attacks on people's character along with a few posts similar to just getting along or how toxic the community is. Yes complaints can be taken as criticism but usually they just attack what they dislike with some lashing out at others for little to no reason.

Maybe because they are WORKING on the game and don't have the time to waste on ranking up , and maybe they rather spend their free time on something else?

They say that they play proposed changes remember that they wanted wraith to be colorblind when cloaked but decided against it after testing?
  • That combined with left behind is op actually what you'reasking for is a survivor version of "fire it up" which beats Freddy's by a mile

Honestly, the cosmetics are meh for huntres and ace anyway.

Boar head for Huntress coupled with the thick winter coat looks great IMO. I like the weapon too.

Personally I don't care about the boar head but the rest of her stuff looks great with the wolf mask.
  • Ugh you said your problem with it is that it punishes those who can't hit greats and suggest making it actually overpowered.

Seriously just buff thantophobia and leave ruin gems take what 90 seconds to do base? You want literally all progress to stop until 2 or all hexs are found and destroyed your suggestion is actually stronger than dying light.
  • Wraith with nurses calling is top notch.
Thantophobia is weak but I bring it cause it does slow down gens marginally which is good enough for overcharge to carry from there. Though if I'm not using it I'll probably have huntress lullaby or ruin if I feel lucky
  • I had a game as huntress where 3 offerings were burned. The first 2 survivors DC when I down them. I got d striked by the obsession eventually hook them was going to give the 2nd player hatch before they d strike me and end up hooking them too, not to mention the obsession had a rapid blind flashlight so I was seeing red for a good while during the break animation of safe pallets. It was a annoying ordeal that killed my desire to play.
I see why people say toxicity grows as you climb everyone was around 12 so I hate to see what 1s have to deal with
  • I'm pretty sure someone said that was a bug.
  • I am a proud potato farmer been raising potatoes for the entity for 12 ranks now.
  • Wraith or nurse. One can hide while the other can teleprompter and is literally the fastest in the game. Though if items can be used huntress since wraith and nurse are weak to flashlights
  • I think it's based on time because long games are seen as fun other than that I have no idea.
  • What is a griefer?
A griefer is someone who goes out of their way to purposefully ruin your good time.
  • I haven't been able to play for 3 days now because of a connection error only to this game. But I'll finish the trouble shooting tomorrow
  • You can only break one lantern per hooking and someone on death hook only counts as being on it for a short time. I'm also pretty sure the Survivor getting saved resets the lanterns pretty quick too.
The timer for unhooked survivors is roughly until the indicator starts to fade. For deathhook survivors it's about 3 to 5 seconds.
  • I got a few hits as wraith that I felt were undeserved and a few strikes that should have hit missed due to teleporting survivors teleporting extra far during my lunge which happened in several chase several times along with getting stuck on an invisible object momentarily once.

Neither class should depend on a perk to fulfill your objective, yet the gate is the survivor’s objective, not the killers. You got perks to impact on that objective negatively, like survivors got perks to speed up the gen repairing or sabo your hooks. If you choose to pick either you lose the chance of choosing some other perk. You can’t cover them all options. That’s where your playstyle comes in place. What will you pick? What will you sacrifice? How are you going to deal with your objective knowing you lack at certain point?
Gates actually are the final thing killers must defend it's literally the reason why you have to open them to escape. Besides if we're going the perk route survivors have perks to open the gates quicker too. Wake Up and leader.

Not all killer should be nurse or spirit level...more like Billy or huntress... rewarding for learning and is what I want...
Nurse does reward for learning her  it's why everyonesuggests using her without add-ons because they throw off muscle memory and can have you over/undershoot the survivor. It's just that people don't like learning how to counter-play her like forcing her into light burn when she charges blinks or being a more stealthy.
  • Seems like a good idea some people dodge maps they don't like on both sides. And it stops the whole "oh killer has mori. Oh survivors are grouped up" thing.
  • I remember when the moon offerings were discontinued people said they liked them since they were like a badge. I have a few on some characters and am a little sad they will be gone forever when I prestige them but if you can't prestige them away I don't think they'll be removed with the exception of loss progress bug.
  • People are still whining about not being able to grind all 9 of the best and most complex full outfits we've ever seen? Really?
Most complex? What about the 7 outfits released during last years Hallowed Blight event? Those were way more complex though Feng dress is probably the most complex for survivors due to physics.
  • Both events had long ques for the other side.

Blight had suicide on hook after the plants were taken.
Moonrise has frequent dcs to deny points. And cowardly survivors waiting on others to carry them for hatch.

Blight had reasonable offering cost and good rewards for event completion
Moonrise has absurd offering costs for little compensation. Killers MUST smash 2 lanterns to break even for 1 offering.

The grind was a problem for blight due to how they capped the vials on each side until the near end then killer ques became bearable.
The grind is an issue in Moonrise because killers have to "tryhard" to get slightly more than minimum of a simple survivor escape without the lantern with no offerings burned. Which results in survivor ques being long since they are seen as more profitable.

Tldr: moonrise fixed the limiting problem blight had but has less points to entice players to use offerings resulting in the grind seeming excessive to sum.
  • They still haven't solved the infinite loading screen that's what happened in one of my games against an swf. One didn't load bur we still had fun regardless.

There’s hills? What? I never seen one! Where are they hiding them?

killers should be able to  place their own totems, like traps! There’s no reason this shouldn’t be implemented as a standard part of game play

I think the devs are kind of afraid that the killers will find places that will not allow survivors to break the totems.

But I agree, it should be implemented somehow.

While that's certainly a problem, it'd remove pressure from devs to try and find places that satisfy Hex users and let us find our own places instead. (I already have a pretty cheeky spot in mind for Disturbed Ward.)
Besides, we'd be QA testers: We'd find spots, and then either we report them or we get reported by Survivors and they'll fix it.
They can put boundary detectors on placements too, like how Bear Traps have them, so we can't squeeze them between two objects and making it impossible to cleanse.

Think we can get notQueen to tell the others about this idea?
  • I guess it's useful for speedy cloaked wraith, planty of addons to increase break, vault speed when invisible.

  • I like true stealth Wraith
Perks: Overcharge, Thantophobia, nurse's calling, bbq and chili
    Add-ons: coxcombed clapper, "Ghost"soot/

  • I dodge for clones and ping over 300.
I've had many games where it was sub 300 and the survivor will still start teleporting away even if I should be in lunge distance and they uses their exhaustion perk on 2nd or last hook.
  • Out of the two I choose hallowed blight. While I didn't have the time for the grind it was rich in BP and you could summon more event items. Now you just burn your offering and hope that the others do as well so everyone can get a lamp and work together.
