  • I feel like this is one the fixes that people have once again blown out of proportion.

If people are expecting the lone guard to get consistent hits on survivors they are expecting quite much. Yes you can get hits with it but the main point to send a guard to chase someone is to tie them to the chase with the guard so they are not sitting on a gen gaining gen progress. Knight's powers two main usage has always been either use it to waste survivors time or do pincer movements to hit them. You getting hits with guards are basically a bonus and do matter but in the end if the guard already is not going to anymore really pressure the survivor in my opinion its better than the guard gets despawned so you can get to use it faster as it starts the cooldown faster. Not to mention 48 meters in this game is like half a map distanse in most cases you are not going to run to pallet areas in many maps that cause that huge distanse to go around. That is like only possible in The Game or some other indoor map.

Also is it not good that the survivors might waste really good pallets to avoid a guard that is beneficial to Knight as now they can be broken and removed from the match?

  • I don't think that means for the killer but for the other survivors see the survivors aura for 10 seconds so you can find them and heal them. Not to mention as other stated they have elusive so the killer will not see the aura anyway.

  • @Royval said:

do you have a clip of you constantly getting spawned in front of the killer? I’ve not experienced it yet.

I have seen it about twice in 27 matches playing Judgement. So for me its not that common and as I tend to not tunnel I might hit them to give them deep wound and then keep going after the one that I was chasing originally or the saver.

  • Don't be me and click again while posting to post twice :P

  • Sam and Dean deserve to be in the game. Would love to hear the actors voicing them too.

  • I love its footstep sounds would listen to them on repeat even while not playing.

  • Report them to betahub as you can consider these bugs.

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318

From there they will eventually get fixed and there is quite a few reports of inaccuracies there already of this new feature.

  • @esarraf said:

All they needed to do was change it so it recharges while working on generators. People who complained about people only ratting with it are happy since they are now progressing the game and people who like to be stealthy are happy since they no longer need to be in chase. And like you said new players are able to stay alive a bit better.

I said this back then but no they had to connect it to chase so basically making it mostly useless as same time changed Predator so you lost the token if you managed to escape so it was plus minus zero

  • I have been playing Judgement all the time now. Not even one of the other recent killers before him made me want to play more than p1 them then go back to my random pick selection. I am already p2,5 about with it already. I just enjoy the gameplay its fun.

I didn't know you can hide in an illusion, that is cool. Still needs buff though, not a huge one but a little one. Maybe simply make it more realistic.

Yeah you can only thing that dispels the illusion is either killer walking through it or time running out.

I had Nurses, all with Nowhere To Hide, it's still insane perk on her.

yeah but its not going to be walk half a map and see all survivors like it was before.

Every Nurse runs nowhere to hide so like i always count with it.

Not anymore as aura reveal is centered around the gen so its not going to be that useful anymore but still it is viable.

If I have get 2 downs and they are both marked has heretics, I don't exile both. Its a waste. 1 survivor will get 2 survivors out of exile. I exile one…hook the other. Waste more time for the survivors. Its better to do it this way unless if of course you are being beamed to death or they are on a pallet and you know someone is nearby then yes, just exile.

Only time it makes any sense to put two in exile is if you are in a hook deadzone or if you know the last survivor is nowhere near to get to a shrine and you can get after them straight away.

To clarify when I try to access the bug forums I get a 504 and cannot access - It rarely loads but I have to refresh for 15 minutes then it 504's again. More so didn't know if the forum has just been under maintenance and I've caught it like that each time. Although if the forum is up and that is a bug if someone could report it then it would be appreciated. The reason I believe it's a bug is it's the only way I know you can get extra tokens on potential energy. With Hyperfocus it gained more potential energy tokens per skillcheck when normally it would not.

To clarify - I know the forum moved - I cannot access the new one.

I don't know why you are getting that error. The sub-forum opens totally fine for me have had not problem of opening any sub-forum page on this forum. Thats quite odd.

  • Its not a bug to have skill checks while using Potential Energy that is common misconception. It does not remove potential to get skill checks. Also anything that effects repair speed effects Potential Energy so the interaction with Hyperfocus is expected same way if another survivor is fixing the gen with you will slowdown your token gaining speed too. You can make a report about it to get devs opinion about it but I would not be surprised that its intended.

Just to point out that the bug reports does have huge red banner on the top that is directing you to the new bug reports in Betahub that several people have already posted here.

  • Read it yourself if you don't seem to believe me.

this is a bug and the estimated queue time will return!

As for the new UI, we've shared the feedback on it - but I have nothing further to share on that I'm afraid.

  • @Goremocker said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/471744/the-queue-timer-change-makes-no-sense

Some folks are saying it's a bug, I don't think so. BHVR tests features for optimal conditions all the time. Something that happened with Play While You Wait is that killers would hop into survivor on long queues and keep to killer on short ones. The issue with this is how the queue compounds. PWYW gives us so many more survivors than we otherwise would, but only when queues are long. This doesnt feel great if all you want to play is killer. By removing the timer, players have to decide both how likely the queue is long, and how long they would be willing to wait. This removes system gaming and forces people to decide how they want to play the game.

Ever since this change hit, my killer matches have been starting in single digit minutes as opposed to the tens of minutes before, on a new chapter release no less! Folks don't want to hear it, but this change is for the best. It separates the flex players from the folks practicing just killer and improves the queue drastically.

Mandy confirmed its not working as it was meant to. So its not speculation its a confirmed by Behavior.

  • and what I mean by "Still feels the same as before" is that I have not really seen much of a change. Some matches you clearly have new players against you and some you have people who clearly know what they are doing. Would I say if I had a problem with the old MMR no I did not so to me its the same as before.

  • So… You can play him in Coldwind so its Entity's creation so she decides the rules or he is wearing lot of sunblock.

  • There is also Houndmaster missing cane during her mori and has some odd small m1 hit when redirecting the dog sometimes. Executioner has a "nervous tick" after using his m2 attack and turning your view to the side. Pig can attack and move normal speed from crouched position. All these new bugs after the patch and all reported the Pig one needs asp fix though.

Ah that does make more sense i was wondering why the statue in front of me was suddenly highlighted and I could save the person who had been exiled for a while. I agree you should only save 1 survivor at a time if more than 1 person is exiled but I have no problems with it being he person who has been in exiled the longest.

Like the only time I would see the point to send more people to exile is if the area is a dead zone or the hook is miles away then just quickly throw them in and continue on.

So, you want a deaf person to constantly look at their perk load outs to see when a perk goes off, getting their eyes off the center of the screen, and become less accessible for handicapped people? Nice.

This might be a shock to you but thats how it sometimes goes. People have limitations everything can't be tailored to them just because. Deaf person knows their limitation and in the end can chose not to use the perk. Not everything needs to be tailored to everyone in the world.

Do you literally not see the whole screen when you play a game I do its not hard to see stuff even on the edge of the screen.

  • @CautionaryMary said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4112630#Comment_4112630

It's literally just a perk that makes a sound notification.

Why not make it more accessible for people who are deaf? Same for Small Game. As I said, a lot of the perks that are in the game are quite dated.

If anything Scene Partner for its aura reading is far superior than anything Premonition can give and nobody uses Premonition for its niche inaccessibilty issues.

You're looking around to hear a sound cue, which isn't helpful at all. Perks should be centered around shifting the meta, not preserving some small thing that already has surpassed it. If anything, again - the perks are bloated. What's going to happen when we inevitably reach over 500+/700+ perks?

and why we need to change all perks that don't do things the same way as others. Deaf person just pays attention when it activates it has visual when it goes to cooldown. Thats how deaf people used Spine Chill before too.

Scene Partner just alerts the killer that you see them. Premonition does not alert them so you can quite easily use it to avoid the killer. Not to mention with Scene Partner you need to see the killer to activate it and its aura reveal will not work against undetectable status killers. Premonition works on that and will work through everything.

So in your opinion all perks should be cookie cutter stuff nothing original should not exist because you don't see the value of it. When I have pointed out why its a good perk.

  • @JLGAZZA94 said:

If im not mistaken once the timer when someone is in exiled is close to been depleted dosen't the exiled save extend to a 3rd statue? Pretty sure I have saved people from exiled when they almost died because another statue gave me an option to save them which pretty much counters campaign killers for the most part.

If I am not wrong the ammount of shires active depends on the ammount of survivors in exile. So if the killer has sent two in there there is four shrines lighted up. So for that I rarely seen much reason to send more than one survivor at time to exile as I see another being on hook better pressure as they need to save two diffrent survivors different way as if they both are in exile one shrine interaction will save both.

  • You need to report this to the bug reports in Betahub. Clearly the names are wrong and I would think the english is the correct one as its the main language of the game. They don't take bug reports from anywhere else so to get this to be fixed you need to report it to Betahub.

  • @CautionaryMary said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4112594#Comment_4112594

I think it should convert into an aura reading perk or something.

A lot of the perks are quite dated.

Rookie Spirit should just have the skill checks removed, it's not necessary.

Visionary should just show you the gens without having the game take it away when gens pop.

Technician should just forego the punishment system, I have no clue why it's there in the first place - it's not like it works on Oppression/Overcharge and it's just redundant. A lot of the perks have unnecessary and redundant drawbacks on them, but that's just my opinion.

Just a lot of bloated perks that overlap with one another on both ends - I remember calling Deerstalker Predator in one of my most recent videos because there is way too much perk bloat in this game - Invocations need a complete overhaul if Behavior wants them to actively be used but it is what it is, I kinda give up on the idea of perks being changed. I kinda think Behavior just looks at perks and thinks it's okay, look at No Mither for example and how they label it "hard mode". I still cannot forgive them for obliterating Fast Track the way they did when they could have reverted it.

When are we getting Wake Up back to how it was? Wasn't it side-nerfed because of Sole Survivor but Diminishing Returns exists, soooooo......

Just mind boggling to see perks being completely ignored, I still to this day do not understand people talking about rat playstyles but Wake Up was the thing that gets changed and not Sole Survivor, lmfao.

No never why change a perk that is unique to something that we have tons in the game already. Its literally only perk that reveals undetectable killer. Its literally one of the most versatile information perk in the game but people sleep on it because its not holding their hands.

  • I would say Premonition is fine. They could drop the cooldown little bit.

  • I am currently just playing her to get nice hits with her power I don't really even care of the match outcome. Its fun to get nice side swipes.

  • There is a bug report about this

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/6042

If you want to add your game logs to it go right ahead. Devs will need the logs to see what is going on and fix the bug. You can find the logs here on your comp

    C:\Users\ *computer profile name* \AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs

Log needs to be the one that was last saved when you stopped playing the game session you experienced the issue.

  • You are very unlikely to get the same realm when only one map was between it usually takes about three matches before the realm usually repeats without offerings. My own match history does not really even support your statement as swamp for me was 13 matches between before repeat, Coldwind Farm four between, Autohaven seven, Ormond five, The Decimated Borgo seven and those were all that repeated in 17 matches. Older ones were 2v8 matches so they don't count in this.

I see people claiming them getting certain maps more is more observation bias as you will remember the maps you hate more than the maps you like.

Also I would complain if I would get the same realm all the time that would be boring to me, but that does not even happen with the current system. So that would be your one that you claim nobody would complain about. I have no interest to play autohaven and macmillian all the time.

Whats the point in making random movements if you dont even know from which direction the beam is coming? Its basically like playing against old Spirit. No counterplay at all. Also I feel like they made the delay to get off a gen even longer. So if you dont randomly look into the direction of the beam at the right moment its already too late to move.

Because it makes it harder to predict where you are going. If they see your aura they have harder time to get it to line up as Judgements beam they needs to lead the beam where survivor is running if you aren't literally running straight away from them. Without aura when you play Judgement you have to play them like you would be playing Artist you have to estimate where survivors are running so you can line the shot up. So you have to use prediction and estimate its not point to direction and get a hit. Its also harder to line up when for example survivor does something you would not expect like even double backing closer to you as its not the easiest to turn around and you would have to take your eyes off the survivor as you need to look behind you to be able to shoot it back towards you.

  • Only thing that needs some work is the survivor name text need better font or contrast to be seen from the backgroud.

"Listen" acting like everyone who plays DBD has the best hearing. There are many players who are hard of hearing or deaf that can't simply "listen" for the power up.

and still that is a counter to it. I am not responsible of someone elses body, life or anythign else. You don't need to take things personally when I am stating that he has a counter even indoor maps.

  • @melissayeti said:

You don't see it coming in indoor maps hence why indoor maps is by far their map of choice and why they wanted the on screen visual for survivors.

Well in indoor maps you just listen when he starts to use his power you move away from the gen or do some random movements. Its not really that hard to avoid still.

  • Have to admit I do like the lobby.

  • I think you should go and read the add-ons effect again. It clearly states it only disables pallet vaulting. It does not and has never disabled all power vaulting for him just on pallets as it replaced it with breaking the pallet instead. It has a draw back you will not be able to vault pallets and even so add-ons don't need to have downsides.

  • The Shrines not being considered a killer object is reported in Bethahub already.

    https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/6468

They seem to be put in the highlighted aura category when they should be in killer item category.

Still it might be intentional as they do act as hooks and you don't see hooks or hooked survivors when being blind.

  • Map variations did not effect it anyway if you get indoor maps more. The selection of maps goes game randomly chosing the realm then the map from that realm. So in short having more variation did not effect your chance of getting indoor map at all as they are not taken into account of chosing what realm it choses first. They just watered down the possibility to get another map than the one that had five variations in the realm than those that had only the one version.

  • Usually the new killer winds down usually in one week. So you start seeing other killers more. Happened even with Jason even if he was still popular after the first week.

  • Its reported on betahub so they know about it.

  • If history shows they will try to get the license back as they did with Stranger Things but the problem is that the Halloween game is now the golden boy who gets to use the license. Its not said that its exclusive license anywhere but how Behavior lost the rights just seems to indicate that it was the case. Well we can expect it to reappear if the Halloween game flops or its right lapse but have to see. I would not be surprised that if that happens and the license holders are open of re-leasing the license to Behavior we might get better license deal that it was originally. Maybe more skins for Shape and Laurie and maybe getting him to come to 2v8 or other game modes where he could not take part because of the original license.

my comment was more a dig that this change wasn't a change to the killer. it was a "Bug Fix" so the devs themselves are admitting that its a big that they just never fixed.
We all know its not a bug (or i would hope not for the sake of the devs) but its just so funny that they would rather claim it a big they have fixed rather than just have it as a small killer change.

Well still it could be just person listing not listing it on the right section or not seeing a point to make section for small change when last time community did complain of small changes they made. Feels like they are doomed if they do or not do. :P

  • It only works on slopes or open areas where it drops from one to another. Badham has floors on top almost all of the undergournd sections. Like when you start charging Judgement's power the pilar of light end spot is the level you are standing on. You can move it down slopes or drop it through holes or elevation differences but it will not go to lower sections if there is a same level floor on it that you started charging it. Like only ways to get the beam to lower level of Badham's main building is either guiding it through the drop or either stairs. Like she is better with elevation going up than down. The pilar does not hit anything under the pilar and the pilar stops on the grounds level that you are charging it or launched it on but if it hits anything open that would drop it during its trajectory it drops to that level.

Like if you are second story of a building and you send it through a wall. It will stay on the second level until it goes through the wall and falls to the level that is on the otherside of the wall, but even if there would be a lower level under that it will not go there because it follows the ground level all the time.

You can hit stuff above the level you charge not anything under it if the beam does not drop to that level.

  • @Jay_K said:

Could this be a world record for the longest time a "Bug" has been unpatched in a video game?

I would say it was not really a bug at all. Originally it was meant to not go up but with how the game has evolved most likely the devs saw it as unfair downside on a killer who already can have hard time as Executioner is not that strong really and not the easiest killer to play. They could have had it in the killer changes section but in the end it was added in the bug section. Interesting thing is that the report I made of it was never really even added "Under Investigation" so seems like the devs themselves realized how unfair limitation was that his power because totally useless if survivor changed elevation.

  • Well you could report it anyway. They might be able to reproduce in the house or someone will later report it again or add a log to your report. You can list the steps you took to do it that time it happened just pointing out that it does not happen everytime. Might be worth to provide info of the survivors builds and yours as it might be perk interaction that causes it.

  • @pidgeon said:

So can you manipulate it with shiny coins like how onryo used to be where it would force TVs to spawn edgemap?

Most likely no as those should have been fixed when they prioritized the killer objects over chests. So those shrines spawn first then chests.

  • They use chest spawns like all other killer objects but what chest spawns they spawn on seems to be totally random.

  • You need to contact Behavior's customer support for this issue you are not going to get help for it here. It might take a while to them to respond as they have a huge backlog of tickets to go through currently. If it was somehow accidentally removed they will re-enable it for you. So you should not need to buy him again.

    https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

  • Still you can get value with the perk with the survivor not noticing you have it or they notice and can't play the downed pallet now.
