Undone has a cooldown, it's not possible for it to block more than 1 generator at a time
Ok forgot the 60 second cooldown still as I said it would not be that big of a deal even with this change.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I don't like this at all as it'd basically be punishing survivors for just doing what they're supposed to do.
I think as a whole we need to stop adding perks that punish either side for doing their objective. Kinda like how Fast Track punished killers too much for hooking, this would be exactly the same thing
It would be only three tokens so if he does not kick a gen often he will not get that much value out of it. Also when survivors would know the killer has it as they can see the gen getting blocked after a kick they will just hit normal skillchecks its not going to effect the gen speeds that much anyway.
They could also limit it to be able to block one gen at the time so if they kick another to block the other is unblocked.

Like even if it says 43 minutes in Germany I noticed that if the timer was like under 10 minutes you can just wait for few minutes and get to a match right away as solo queuing. Don't know if its because the other killer left the lobby but seemed to work for me as did not see the point to play another survivor match when it stated under ten minutes and I never waited the full ten minutes.
-
I would not be against this change. Sounds reasonable.

I….guess but I don't want to lose all my items and prestiges and DLC.
You don't lose that its all on servers. You only lose your keybindings, aura preferences, other game settings etc. that are locally saved. All cosmetics and what characters you own is on your account in the server side.
-
@merri1400 said:
I don't think that's a thing for Switch unfortunately, I was either given an option to delete the software but keep game data or lose all my data. I tried archiving and deleting it while keeping actual game progress (took an hour and 40 minutes both times) and didn't work.
Doesn't that just mean you did not delete the settings data and so did not really do the full clean install?
-
On computer you would most likely need to delete all the settings files you have to fix that problem. I don't know if you can do that on Switch. I mean the files that keep the settings of your key customatization and game settings. Those usually don't get deleted when you uninstall the game even on PC.
You can then restart the game and it will create those files again and you of course have to set your customatization on settings again.

Using a monthly average only from steam to downplay a critical issue that only went live a few days ago is just poor math. Look at the actual live drop-off since the Denuvo integration, especially today during a major 2v8 launch that should normally double the concurrent numbers, but instead, people are flooding the forums with GPU crash dumps.More importantly, you completely missed my point: Dead by Daylight is a cross-platform game. This disaster isn’t locked to Steam. Thousands of players on Epic Games and consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch) are dropping the game or actively boycotting it because the constant PC kernel crashes are breaking the global matchmaking queues, leaving console players slapping them with unearned 6-hour matchmaking bans. Players are leaving cross-platform entirely, and no selective Steam chart is going to hide that.
You made claim that I proved to be wrong thats that.

I only know that windows of opportunity was buffed in the past, the cool down was removed so it constantly shows aura of the pallets/windows, it was never nerfed.
That cooldown was in the release version of the perk with longer cooldown it was never added it was first made shorter and then removed. There has not been any nerf to it as both of those are buffs.

I agree with you on all points, basically, but the biggest problem is this:
Most people stopped playing DbD because of the Denuvo disaster and uninstalled it completely; trust is crumbling, or for most, it’s already gone, and so is the hope.
Most players whose processors were damaged, whose graphics cards crashed, or whose PCs and Laptops overheated due to Denuvo have completely lost faith. Players who manage to get into the game crash out of lobbies and receive matchmaking bans of up to six hours or more.
It’s not just Steam anymore, it affects all platforms, with players on Epic and consoles now also hit by these bans. Especially since 2v8 is back. Frustration is mounting, yet BHVR is stubbornly pushing ahead with the test phase and trying to cover everything up. Practically everyone feels exploited like a lab rat.. People are already speculating that BHVR simply wants our MSinfo.nfo files to spy on us.
If not for all this, I would fully agree with everything you said. But BHVR needs to earn back our trust first, and unfortunately, that’s not so easy. More than half of the Steam players have left DbD and want to play other games like Left4Dead, Fall Guys, and S6 and others.Stats don't anyway support your statement. August average of Dead by Daylight steam players was about 71000 players and so far september average is about 58000 players. Where is the over half the playerbase drop?

Well, as I use it since 2018, I perfectly remember an attempt from the devs to change this perk tho', because you already have this thread about this perk (complaints about this perk aren't new).
Also they have a countdown for a short while, reduce or expand the distance of the visible auras. Then they remove it bc nobody used it anymore.
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Windows_of_OpportunityPatch 3.0.0
- Buff: halved the Cool-down durations from 60/50/40 seconds to 30/25/20 seconds.
Patch 5.3.0
- Buff: removed the Cool-down altogether.
- Buff: changed and increased the Aura-reading effect from a fixed 20 metres across all Tiers to a variable 24/28/32 metres.
I guess you aren't playing this perk or the game in this time period…
and how is your list here anyway saying anything against what I said? You yourself are just providing prove that it got buffed both times. It has not got any nerfs ever as I said and even you yourself proved it with your post.

Devs put a cooldown of 20 sec. on it… then next they remove it again… if I recall it correctly.
It has never been nerfed in its existence. It has been buffed everytime they changed the perk. They never added the cooldown it was on the perk from the start they changed the values first and then they removed the cooldown totally. There has not been anything that would be called a nerf on it ever.

pardon me?
Yeah google it if you want to know but it was found by some streamer. There is nothing graphical just that the guy was playing Loomis when they discovered it.
-
Its basically just updated version of Friday the 13th: The Game even copying its name. Like I would call it a sequel to it of how similar it is. They just changed some things and copied the most.
Its most definetely over priced for the content it has really.
Not to mention the "sex" mini game that was in it that they silently just removed.

If I get them in my random builds.

Windows needs a nerf not to be made basekit in any way.

Agreed, but as long as you're close enough to the window it should prioritize the vault to my knowledge.
To my knowledge its about what you look while you hit space. Usually when you see this happen its the survivor looking back at the killer so when they are hitting space their view is on the locker next to them and the window is not on screen so the game thinks they want to jump in the locker.
Seen quite many streamers complain about it being a bug when you usually see them looking at the locker when they hit space not the window they want to vault or hitting the vault way too early when they are not yet on the vaulting distance ending up in the locker.
-
Run the game as administration mode or change the folder out of read only setting as thats why your changes are not getting saved is because you can't edit the files.
-
They can change their games UI how they want in the end and it does not bother me any other way than it having some bugs showing the button in other layers than just the main lobby.

since legs are all out we gotta settle with Grounded‘s arachnophobia spider!
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DQ38RSF0MTV3/image.jpeg
Reason why I don't think they will ever add a spider killer that looks way too much like real spider if any that type at all.
-
And its legs are more like crabs anyway does not remind me of a spider at all.
-
Best chapter of this year or at least the second best as All-Kill: Comeback was good one too. This comes from a person who wanted Jason to be added to the game since release of the game and in the end I had more fun to play Judgement than Jason and the patch had less problems than Jason's had.
-
Its disconnection it does not matter why it happens as there is noway of knowing on server side why your connection stopped responding. They all get penaltized. Only one that does not is if server goes down as that they know what happened.
Still that message means that host closed the connection because it did not get respond from your connection and so it timed out. Its a problem between you and the server its not Behavior's fault if the connection is lost.

What tome is this? And is there a way to not finish the challenge so I can just have it active 24/7?
Tome 17, 20 and 22 has them and those have (Remix) after the name. If you don't finish the requirements you can keep it going, but most of them are about six downings of a survivor so you would not be able to down anybody after the fifth if you don't want to complete. There is one in Tome 17 that requires you to hook two survivors inside 60 seconds so another one that is not really hard to do but would be decently easy to avoid if you play Judgement and use Exiling mostly.

i didnt know that oops
I myself play always random (if not doing adept) so I for example even recently played a match where I only had thrill without any other hex perk. I do it manually so I chose to make the matches more difficult with it. Would not mind automatic way to do it in the game itself. Love Chaos Shuffle as that just makes others play like me so even playing ground :P
-
They might be playing with random perks its not their choice to run the perk. There is challenges in tomes that randomizes them.
-
I think the Executioner power not going up hill was not really a bug but originally intended how it worked. They should have put it into killer changes section than the bugs but clearly that did not happen. So in short it was never a bug but as the game has evolved his power has no reason why it should not go up hill.

Nothing to do with that. Exile is normal before end-game, the two closest shrines. Then in end-game he downed one player and exiled him and he got teleported to the opposite of the map, then downed a second one, also to the opposite of the map. i would say the farthest two.
ahh did not know that is a feature. Still I was mainly talking about the situation where you already exiled just before they fixed the last gen.

Yesterday I had a match that they got teleported to literally the total opposite of the map in end-game.
How many you had in exile if you have several survivors there more shrines light up. Main reason not to put more than one there at the time.
-
I think this got drop into some abyss as would think other people would have some opinion about this so decided to pump this back up. Still nothing new on this forum that some topics just and up in an abyss.
-
Distortion should be tied to generator repair time on charging or both chase and repair and maybe give it another token on the start. The chase requirement just does not do anything to charge it against most of the new killers as they don't that much chase but bombard you from distance ala Jason and Judgement. It might also be good to increase the aura hiding time a little.
They most likely should go with two random shrines get lit up not the two closest of the Judgement. Main reason why to change it is the reason stated by op still its not the most common thing to happen but happens. I know why devs did this was to give killer a chance to defend end game collapse if survivor would be in in exile but if the match goes that far there is no point to do that on the survivor when hook is easier to defend than two shrines.
-
Sorry but Badham is way better than Fallen Refuge as that map is barely a map.

I never agreed with one scan line, I just think stealth on recall was an amazing buff. (Despite the fact she's still terrible.)
The stealth activation is way better but some reason people think it isn't. As you said earlier placing a drone giving you Undetectable did basically not much. Now you can literally get it by removing a drone you might have removed anyway. I said in few threads this was talk about time to time that you can just place few random drones that you might not really need and use those to activate the stealth when you want. Way better than placing a drone that the survivor can hear to gain it as you would still need to remove that drone at some point if it was placed in bad place.
-
I have to be honest here I have not experienced anything different while playing after the Denuvo was added. Game runs the same no stutters nothing. Maybe few janky hits that should have hit but missed but that can be just normal for this game.
Still if its causing problems to others it might not be the right step for DBD and its reputation is not stellar as anti-cheat program anyway.
-
Well technically we already have diffrent variations of the main buildings. There is certain doors, pallets or windows that can appear or be blocked or open depending on RNG. Like Garden of Joy's main building has at least two different variations of those for example.

Thats why you take the trio that has all three.

There already is things to make camping hooks harder. Also just to point out that in endgame that is the only thing killer has as pressure so he has total right to camp the hook.
-
Most likely again some forum update from the forum provider broke it.
-
Most likely because Madness is more of a killer power effect than normal Status Effect as you can't get that any other way than getting shocked by Doctor.

Distortion with 1 token?
It never recharges since judgement wont chase but even then chase only counts if you are in hit range to m1.
Shadowstep has pitiful range 24meter and judgement can snuff out in 1 seconds you wasted 14 seconds and more to find it
I want to see the killer who can M1 attack 12 meter distance.

That website takes directly what is usually shown in game at least pre 10.1.0 . It can be a bit off right now since the games own estimate doesn't even seem to be working right now and it's always an estimate so the game itself can be off.
When the anniversary event was going there were post where that site was not showing right numbers at all on some servers. So I don't have high hopes of believing it on face value. You can use it as a guidance of what the wait time might be but thinking it always correct seems to be not true all the time.
-
Just minorly idiotic question do you happen to have cross-play turned off? That can cause you to have longer queues as you match making pool is only those that also have it off and what I have heard get you mainly only people who takes this game way too seriously specially on european servers. I think some youtuber just made a video about it.
You are also not going to get much interaction with your post if you claim everyone else is just gaslighting you if they don't agree with you or provide something that might contradict your point. In reality nobody here would care about something like that.

Again I want to point out this seems like a failsafe measure put in to stop guards from having to pathfind around one way pallets. Imagine if you saw a guard running to the other stairway in midwich just because the survivors dropped the god pallet on the other staircase
That wouldn't make sense either.
Or you do it in the one tile in The Game that has the drop down in the corner of the map as quite often on side is closed because of a generator and there might be one of those god pallets on the other. So if survivor runs there and hits the pallet down the guard would have to run upstairs and jump down the hole to get there.

Old Dead Hard is why I tacked on "legitimate" in brackets. Outside of the most broken single perk in the game's existence, it's been the best for a decade.
Well nine years as Exhaustion was added to it in 1.5.0 it was not in the game from release, but not nitpicking just interesting additional information.
-
@jesterkind said:
I've been playing with Sprint Burst pretty much non stop today and I think it's still pretty decent.
It doesn't seem like it's an instant chase-ender if you use it while a killer's approaching, which is a knock to its strengths for sure, but it also still has its uses and it's not bad to get that much extra distance before a chase starts. Holding onto it and 99ing it seems still strong (though I kinda suck at doing that lol) and it still lets you zip out of the way of certain attacks.
I'll have to get some more experience playing against it before I can form a full opinion, but first impressions seem pretty positive.
Kinda wild to say, but I do think it's not the best Exhaustion perk anymore. Ten years of it being the completely uncontested best (legitimate) Exhaustion perk in the game, and now it passes along the crown to Lithe…
Still, it's comfortably sitting alongside the other good Exhaustion perks, so not a huge loss. You are saying that it beat the old Dead Hard? Old Dead Hard was more versatile than Sprint Burst was even before this nerf.

But the Knight still has access to his power; He can switch to one of his other two guards and send a new hunt out which automatically cancels any hunts in progress, putting the guard that was previously in chase on cooldown.
The argument of "being locked out from his power" does not make any logical sense with how the Knight has played since his rework.Still how would you know a hunt on the other side of the map is going to be on a loop that long? Like I said already 48m in some maps is a half a map wide. Like its a huge distanse its not going to happen on most loops and as I also said whats the point of the guard to keep chasing at that point it will not really pressure the survivor as its now going around a long distanse while the survivor can go where they want.
-
Its a third party site I would not always trust third party sites claiming to be accurate.
