Her lazer bear outfit description along with her golden victory one confirms she was taken after 2016 as that's when the tournament she competed and won took place.purebalance said:@Eight said:
As much as everyone likes to disagree, Meg needs new cosmetics.
She's been given a lot, but the vast majority are absolutely rubbish when you compare them to what the others survivors got. It's like the devs have never seen Instagram before - lots of fit girls have cool looking clothes. And when they're not at the gym, they don't all wear boys' tracksuits.
The survivors are not all from our era. Prime example is that Laurie is from the 70's as if she was ripped right out from after the movie(can only really be 1 or 2 although 2 is about to not be canon anymore or a different timeline). Meg can easily be from the 80's which girls in the 80's who were athletic tended to be tomboyish and not like the glam gym girls of today. Feng Min has to be from a closer time frame due to her e-sports connection. Tapp is from 2004 and Amanda(Pig) from 2006 as both of their deaths happened in those years.
Granted they do make cosmetics that have nothing to do with the character like the Japan themed ones.
If you want to link that with her backstory she would have started losing after the tournament so roughly within late 2016 and early to mid 2017 is when she was taken -

Amanda's body was shown and the end of saw 4 and beginning saw 5 after strahm kills s.a.m.f Jeff (dead meat reference btw)Rattman said:There is no restrictions for number of questions, so Iam gonna use it)
1) How do you fit dead licensed characters in lore? Bill died in L4D series. Then L4D2 survivors came to this place - he was still dead and his body was in place. Btw, Bill's body is infected with zombie virus. If his body would be transfered, zombie apocalypse among survivors started.
Detective David Tapp is also dead, and there was funeral for him at 3-d SAW movie. Not questioning Amanda, cause not sure whether we saw her body after her death or not.
2) Photo in main building in Red Forest, above campfire. There are man, woman and child. Obviously, its Huntress, her mother and...? What happened with this man, how he related to Huntress? No mans were mentioned in Huntress lore.
3) All survivors were kidnapped with different circumstances, but Adam Francis was kidnapped in front of girl. She became first alive Entity witness? Why Entity risks leaving witness? And how transfer looked like from witness perspective? -
How do survivors interact with each other personality wise.
For example lore wise at least Min from the journal entry about her, is basically the least altruistic survivor she was even described as a lone wolf who wouldn't help others so how would she interact with others and so on

Can we please stop throwing around the phrase taking the game hostage if you don't actually use it in its correct context.slingshotsurvivor said:

Killers are fine being able to pick and choose lobbies. I would much rather this than lose an Offering because the Killer was forced to play with the 3 Jedi Warrior wannabes who I got stuck with as a solo queue'er. You have to click again to join another lobby? OMG!!!! THE HORRORRRRRRR!!!! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!!!! sighthe largest complaint to lobby dodging are the ones being dodged . swf groupies think its horrid that a killer dodges their tryhard groups , and it forces them to take the time to remake the group every time they get dodged . here is the sad part , most groups that get dodged are the obvious 3 and 4 mans . So I find it kinda funny that the same people saying its unfair and a killer should be punished for their only available option to swf is in fact the ones using something that was never designed to be in the game to begin with to their advantage ...
SWF is in the game.
Lobby dodging is holding the game hostage because a player doesn't want there to be a difficult match. I'm not talking toxic as there is no proof of it given the game didn't even have a chance to be played.
Therefore a user's experience is literally on the loading screen waiting to load into the killer lobby. Only to then be dodged and have to go through this again and again.
Not sure how old you are but it's like getting the old Microsoft Explore dialogue box that says your download will be complete in 15s...1min. 6000045678654min. Then a hourglass icon that just spins.
I can completely understand WHY killers don't want to play SWF. I get it, however, the point still remains that it is in the game.
This is how killers punish SWF.
How would you change SWF? What changes do you think SWF should have? Do you think said changes to SWF will stop most lobby dodging?
I am not asking about perk changes but what can be done to SWF, specifically, to make the game more appetizing to play.
If you honestly think dodging a lobby is taking the game hostage you're a moron.
Let me explain it simply, taking the game hostage is when a killer or other urvivor blocks survivors in an area for a long period of time without an intent to kill/move or if a survivor gets into an area of the map where the killer is unable to hit them and abuses it.
Does dodging lobby fit into what I just explained above ..... no. It's not taking the game hostage then
No one whether it be killer or survivor should be punished for opting out of a lobby deciding to bail on a game in progress is a different story. -
It would make no sense making it apply to the hallucinations. Sole survivor effects the Killer's aura reading of you however the hallucinations are not aura of you they are separate entities that the doctor can see the aura ofxcottonx said:I think that Sole Survivor should also block the reading ability of the doctors hallucinations in 24, 48 and 72 meters, because it is very frustrating if there is no counter to it.

What? I miss my nostalgic vanilla dbd theme
And I cant wait to hear it hehe. I got this game during the last barbecue event...and i prefer that menu music over the clown and spirit.
I know that devs probably don't have any intention of doing this but I would still love an option where you could change the menu theme to any that has been previously used.
Like a standard option that would give you whichever one is currently on the roster.
Selecting your own personal favourite theme.
Lastly an option to randomise in every time -
Wraith's Hound it's a waste of an add-on slot for something bloodhound does 100% better.
I'm not saying add the built-in bloodhound back just saying you could have made it more useful. Hell even making it a predator and bloodhound combo would be better as it could have been an amazing tracking add-on. -
I know a lot of Freddy players tend to run regression build because survivors want to wake up often time they'll not hit the overcharge skill check but this especially when you combine it with huntress lullaby regresses the generator by 11%.CoolAKn said:I'm not sure why a Freddy would use Overcharge, especially since Overcharged gens are easily identifiable, and guarantees a Skill Check asleep survivors can use to wake up.
Using this strategy of freddy can essentially drag the game out for a very long time meaning survivors are either going to have to rely on healing skill checks or each other waking them up. The latter waste lot of time and the former if the Freddy is smart about who he hits this can be very easily negated -
1) Reduce the sound of grants by 100% considering you're injured for the whole match there's no reason for it to be below 100.ClogWench said:I really like the idea of No Mither but it's cons so heavily outweigh it's pros that not many people can rationalize using it. So I want to hear buff/rework ideas. Off the top of my head, I'd give it a bleed out timer if you get hit. You become less vulnerable while still being at greater risk if a chase isn't ended fast.
2) Disable the injured music whilst you're running the perk it's ######### annoying.
3) If you manage to survive the trial whether it be in escape through hatch or escape through exit gates gain 100% extra blood points in each category
These are the set buff and qol I would like to see added to the perk, there are some of the extra goodies that would be decent however these just bonuses and I'm primarily concerned with the above being added
4) 5% the bonus action speed
5) exhaustion reduces whilst running -
You can't really compare the two perks.Demonented said:Since the new survivor, Adam Francis, had came out with an interesting perk called Deliverance, this brings a new way to rework something that shows both survivors and killers your hand when playing with No Mither. As it is right now, No Mither is only useful if the killer lets you stay down in dying state long enough to let you recover fully. Which, if the killer notices that you have the Broken state, they would not be dumb enough to allow this. When you run No Mither, the killer will instantly pick you up, defeating the purpose of the perk all together. Now back to the Deliverance. That perk has the forethought to not indicate that you have it until you use it. And its a one time use. This should be the way No Mither works as well. You would have the normal, non broken state at start, but when you go down and successfully recover all the way, you would then have the broken state for 60 sec. if you are downed while having the broken state, you can not recover fully. But if you last the 60 sec. of broken state, then you would be able to use it once again. Making the perk a bit more useful.
Thoughts on this possible idea of a rework?
Deliverance is a conditional basis and it also has a time limit to it's broken effects.
No mither effects have already begun the second the trial starts hence why when you use it would automatically give you the notification that you're broken due to no mither during the camera pan. -
For the most part I don't really see Mins being scaredy cats
I main Min myself.
However I will see most of us are really not altruistic most Min mains I meet including myself prefer doing gens over helping people out -
Amanda not because she herself is actually but her games are unwinnable and she can at least somewhat hold her on.
You get a rtb on your head you're dead. Game over. No matter how much torture you put yourself through you're basically dead. -
I like the change a means of somehow somebody was able to miss that aura that you had when you are opening the gate. God knows how but I've had it happen multiple times, they would be able to see you standing in it so they know where to go and if somebody's available to take a hit
-
I can agree with giving it a cool down but not a range limit.
Honestly the range was kind of the problem with it as for the most part you would be able to hear the killer breaking something and determine where they were without needing the perk anyway when at 32 m -

Amanda's letter
It might not be the best add-on and it definitely needs a buff because currently the cons outweigh the pros however I can't help but just love this add on.
Completely shattering the stealth moments that people try to pull out also it really helps out with mind games as you could see exactly where the survivor is going if you're trying to ambush at certain pallets or line of sight blockers -

You guys are awesome.
I can't help but get a good laugh reading this. -
The spirit seems ok. She does take a bit of getting used to but once you do she's actually really amazing especially now they lowered her cool down.
Haunted grounds: This perk is nice but not what I really expected it to be smart survivors will take it down very easily whilst you're occupied. I personally would like if the other hex told him remained just to add a little bit more of a fear factor giving the perk teo chances to activate if survivors got greedy or reckless. As a stand-alone perk it's nothing special merely for the reason I stated above.
Spirit fury: good it combines well with enduring for those people who don't respect pallets and it does save you time it's your standard nice combination perk when do used by itself it's just meh
Rancor: it's a very nice obsession perk it has great combination potential with Save The Best For Last and play with your food. Hell it even gives you a reason not to immediately die-hard tunnel your obsession when you have remember me. Unlike the other two perks it's an amazing stand alone perk as well as a combination one.
Adam decent looking survivor if there's any problem I have with it is that his so called DLC exclusive is pathetic when you make Kate's white shirt look like a gift from the gods you know you messed up. I miss the days when survivors came with an alternate outfit that actually made them look different.
Diversion: it's pretty niche especially when you get the hang of using it and throwing it in areas that would actually trick out of killer. However 45 seconds is absolutely ridiculous I could get 3 stacks of stake out in the same time as it will take me to activate this. The steak out stake being universally more useful as they apply to all skill checks whilst diversion is very as I said before situational. They really need to reduce the time maybe 20 to 25 seconds will be more viable
Deliverance: This perk is amazing however it is situational infact this survivor kind of has a theme of situational perks. If you happen to be unfortunate enough to get downed before you get to save anybody this perk is absolutely useless it also only applies to a safe unhooks. Now when does come through it can be potentially game-changing I've literally gone Hatch simply because of this perk. If I would say anything if you have Deliverance active it should allow you to get off hook during struggle stage basically cancel out the struggle stage and treat it as a second standard hook stage but you still can only get up to 3 times.
Autodidact: This perk was so promising during the ptb but now it's kind of detrimental to have it. Unlike the ptb you need two skill checks to get out of the negative progression zone instead of just one. This means not only do you have to rely on RNG but for those first two skill checks you're going to be negatively impacting people which could screw people over especially The Killers heading back to the area. Honestly all I can really say is just decrease the initial penalty from 25 to 15 this way you don't get the monstrous 80% on skill check. The max you can hit is 60% but it would also mean the bad RNG doesn't cripple you as much.
-
What in the world did I stumble upon?
-
First I think it's pretty stupid to compare lobby dodging and dcing.Eveline said:Well in my games or before game even starts killers do dc at least 50% of time.
So If I am a bad player for dcing when game is being unfair killers are too with lobby dodging and dcing. Stop with the double standards people.
Lobby dodging doesn't screw people out of points or a rank and it doesn't make the game more difficult or less rewarding for those around you.
Now if you spawn in with less then the full amount of your survivor team but when you disconnect all you do is screw over your teammates.
Also before you say it no the killer is not required to take pity on you because there are less people in the game if they so choose to that's great if they want to go full force they have all the right to.
Lastly stop using the phrase double standards you clearly don't know what it means. Killers who disconnect in the middle of the match are not celebrated, they're not entitled to a disconnect, it's frowned upon and bannable . Same goes with if a survivor chooses to do it.

I really like the idea for Wraith and Trapper.
Trapper: really needed this honestly I don't know why they didn't implement it when they gave him his buff.
Wraith: I'm really proud of his buff but I have no idea why they chose to revert it to his old reappearance curve rather than trying to find a middle ground. So either one of these changes would kind of make it feel less awkward.
As for Clown and Myers I don't really have much of an opinion on it.
I don't use Clown outside of dailies.
Even though I use Myers fairly often I never really used those add-ons because I've never found them useful, so I can't talk from experience however buffing them doesn't seem too much of a problem actually it probably would encourage more use

This has been stated multiple times and it's getting tiring stating it again but camping is not going to be punished in any way other than you lose generator pressure. Deal with it.Gorvak said:Something like "If a killer stays within x meters of the hooked survivor for x amount of time, other survivors gains x% in their repair, heal, sabotage actions, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec" or "if a killer stays for x time within x range of the survivor, the sacrifice will be worth half points, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec (then the bloodpoints of hooking, summoning and sacrificing will be only added after the sacrifice happens or the survivor is unhooked (by itself or others) and add a buff for survivors sacrificed outside of the x range, making the buffed risky sacrifice awarding more points than now and the safe sacrifice awarding less)."
The point of this is because the ridiculous killer who does it, specially in the first hooking, destroys the game for everyone. The ones that are safe doing gens, dont get so many points, the survivor hooked, gets basically nothing and even the ######### killer gets almost nothing, but he still manages to recover, depending on the speed of other survivors.
The killer who does it, mostly in the beginning, spoils the game. Makes it a true loss for everyone, not because the survivor will die, but because no one will get enough points, so a solution should be devised to avoid this behaviour the most and those are my ideas.
P.S: The killer losing time meanwhile the other survivors fix the gens is not punishment enough for this ######### behaviour.
Whether it's fun or not is irrelevant why because first off you don't get to dictate what someone finds fun if they find camping fun then that's their idea of fun. Secondly it doesn't matter what game it is as long as there are opposing sides, the opposing sides job is not to make sure you have fun. Let me put it in a more simple way as a survivor whether the killer has fun or not is none of your concern as a killer whether the survivor has fun or not is none of your concern.
Here's how you punish camping do generators leave if all generators are completed and the Killers camping the last kill either leave or risk the save but if you risk the save and you end up feeding the killer kills and that's down to you.

First off it's easy as hell to rank up as both killer and survivor so your rank means nothing in this discussion.
Secondly whatever strategy somebody uses is their own strategy if they find success with it then they could use it if they want.
If somebody can guarantee themselves with these strategies 4k at the very least a 3K and they have a higher success rate than you even then they're not exactly bad players -

It's obvious we getting Freddy buffs/reworks I'm guessing they also going to do some slight touch ups on spirit.
We're probably going to have to wait until the next chapter or the next mid chapter for bubba and piggy buffs/reworks
As for perks buff.
Killers
Surveillance: The time limit it needs to be increased or removed, it would also be nice to have some increased regression on it and for the love of god add a notification so we don't have the moon walk constantly watching the gen.
Beast of prey: This has been discussed they just need to implement it making a button press this way you could choose the most optimal time to use it.
Monstrous shrine: I have 2 ideas of buffing this either make it apply to all hooks or add some extra factors for example the broken status or a hindered status certain amount of time if you get hooked in the basement. This increase the incentive of actually running a basement build.
Spies from The Shadows: currently now that avoiding crows is childs play this perk is practically useless especially considering not only this requires you to be in a certain range but it's also chance based.
Fire up: definitely need its numbers to be increased it would also be nice if it would also decrease the charge of time of your powers and wipe animation meaning the closer to escape you get the more of a threat to killer it becomes.
Survivor perks.
Prove thyself: it's very conditional and is completely outclassed by leader to the point where it's not even funny. a decent fix for it would probably be to make it work like a reverse thanatophobia start off with 9% and for each of your teammates that are injured, dead, in the dying state or hooked you lose 3%.
No mither: this is more of a quality of life than a buff. 1) remove the injured music it's annoying as hell. 2) give a double blood point bonus at the end of the match ( if you think it's too strong and will ruin the "blood point economy" only give it if the person escapes)
Hope: once again this is less of a needs a massive buff and just more of a little bit of quality of life take away the time limit that's pretty much it.
Left behind: with the fact that the original Hatch closing mechanics aren't going to be implemented. This perk is officially useless. honestly I don't know where to go about fixing it I just think it should be on the table
Boil over: I'm not going to ask for extra wiggle speed as someone who plays both survivor and killer I could tell you that's going to be a pain in the neck for the killer side and this is just coming from what you could do with iron grasp I dread to think of the inverse.
What I would suggest is completely block hook aura and decrease The Killers movement speed whilst carrying you by 3%.
This would mean the killer has to be aware of their environment to know which hooks to go to once I pick you up are they going to be running blind and slow.
-
1. Don't expect any charity or pity. if you get farmed on hook and take that up with the person who farmed you not with me.
2. Sellouts are a definite no no if I know you're a person who sells out another survivors I will go out of my way to make sure you die.
3. If I don't have any endgame perks last kill is mine if you want to try to save that person more power to you but if you end up getting yourself killed don't whine to me about it.
4. If you're Feng Min or David (shirtless) and you're the last person I'll give you the hatch anyone else you pretty much have to hope I'm in a good mood.
5. I have no moral etiquette so always expect me to pull off a scumbag move if it would help me win or if I don't particularly like you too much. ( looking at you person who last second switched to a Claudette with a purple flashlight that I promptly trapped in the basement until they reverse bear trap when off)
6. If you're going to click your flashlight or run around me in a circle like a dumb ass keep in mind that I'm not going to switch targets and come after you because you're making it really obvious that you want me to chase you so I'm not going to.
7. No only spawning in with three or two people does not mean I have to go easy on you. I'm a lot more likely/near guaranteed to farm with two people or less but for the love of God don't expect it. -
Let me give you a piece of advice where do you choose to take it another is your choice once all the generators have been complete play immersed until you can confirm an open exit gate and when you find it leave immediately it's not that hard.BigKrazyKag said:9I think it should only give the exposed effect on the obsession and not the ability to kill. I just did 3 and a half gens by myself and ended up being killed simply because I was the obsession. Makes me not want to use decisive strike simply to avoid it.
Don't run around like a headless chicken and then suddenly be surprised when the killer find you.
For the most part a killer running rancor would most likely to leave The Obsession because they have no need to chase them as killing them in endgame is more efficient.
That is a massive benefit if the killers going to try to actively ignore you just like when the killer has Save The Best For Last use this to your advantage. Get stuff done as you have a lot more security than others and then leave when you need to
