As if match making isn't horrendous enough - lets split the player base, that'll work.

The current matchmaking (I imagine you're speaking of how unfair it can be (Rank 1 survivor with Rank 18 Killer or team mates)) is horrible, I'll give you that. But I play as someone would if they were #fullyimmersed. I don't play for the rank and just try to have fun yet I'll be thrust into situations I can't deal with because I'm not that good at the game yet.

senzu is only speaking out of concern that the ladder wont have swf, resulting in him ragequitting cuz he cant solo and making the following post... Senzuduck: “######### ladder sucks i quit”

I don't see why SWF isn't removed. It's a huge hindrance to constantly remake the group and it causes a major disadvantage to the killer. Not to mention ruining the experiences of the solo players.

If the devs remove it, it might kill the game. I agree that it's overpowered, but I don't think it's going to be removed.

  • It's definitely a problem.

  • At the end of the day, most can agree that SWF fundamentally breaks the balance of the game, regardless of whether you call it cheating or not. The game was clearly not designed for the use of comms and they obviously provide an unfair advantage. If the devs whitelisted comms, none of that would change. SWF would still be broken and the imbalance it causes would still be there. If the use of comms isn't whitelisted, then it should be considered by everyone as cheating but the devs have shown no signs of doing anything about it. If the devs do whitelist it, it's bad game design on their part and it would still be broken and unfair for the killer. Either way, it's imbalanced and something should be done about it. There's not much use arguing about whether it falls into cheating or not since comms most likely aren't going anywhere regardless.

  • No matter what, no one can say my name while raging at me and be taken seriously.

    How pedantic.

How date you use words above my grade school teachings! I’ll never share LEGO’s with you AGAIN!

    MEGA BLOKS are better.

Ok no they’re not. If you honk so, you’re just an attention seeking POSER!

    Real men use Duplo.

  • It's because there's no serious consequences for it. All that really happens is they lose the bloodpoints from that match.

  • That would be too strong, in my opinion.

  • I guess it just depends on the situation. Some might not feel secure placing the traps by the hook and leaving if the survivors have flashlights, for instance.

One of the biggest reasons games go by too quick is because chases go on too long. If generators were to get any kind of nerf, adding more time might not be the way to go due to how boring they are to do. I personally think that the best way to add time to gens would be to have survivors do other objectives, like maybe find parts around the map to repair them or something. As for toolboxes themselves, I don't think they're the main culprit of genrushing but they do make it worse. The main issue is chases being extended by looping and second-chance perks like DS.

I like your idea. I think it would be cool/different to have to search around the map looking for a part to possibly insert into agen to then repair it. Would it be like searching for a key in a pig trap box?

I'd be on board for that idea.

I think there's many ways to apply the idea. I more lean to searching the map for parts scattered here and there but your idea is cool too. I've heard some suggest switches for survivors to turn on before they can work on certain gens. All of these are interesting ideas in my opinion. As for which one to go with, that would have to be up to the community or the devs themselves.

    Still wouldn't be balanced.

SWF just needs to die. All the cancer who play in SWF groups can go and play some other game. We don't want you in DbD. You are AIDS.

SWF won't be removed. Doing so would eliminate a large amount of the playerbase and could possible kill the game. I agree that something should be done to balance things but getting rid of it isn't the way to go.

  • Yep. having the same problem here in NA.

  • Chill, dude. I play on PS4 too and, yeah, the waiting sucked, but throwing a tantrum isn't going to get you anything. I think it's a little ridiculous that you're calling everyone in the comments immature when your post and replies are far worse.

  • The situation where I camp the most is when I hook a survivor, turn around, and see the other survivors trying to hide until I leave. I don't go far from the hook in that situation, or when the exit gates are powered and I have one survivor on the hook.

Why is there always someone crying about something? I really don't get it at all lol.
So people like to play with their friends..Whats the big deal? All you hear is cry cry cry ######### ######### #########...people just need to stop take a breath and let the devs do what they do..

To be fair, the forums are for voicing anything to do with the game, including complaints. And certain aspects of the game are worth bringing up. The issue isn't that people are playing with friends, it's that comms provide a huge advantage over the killer and that should be brought to attention and a possible solution should be found. If the devs didn't want our opinion, they would never have made these forums in the first place, so I don't think leaving them to do what they do is necessarily what they want anyway.

  • It nerfs perks that don't need it, it's still a get-out-of-jail-free card if your positioning was awful, and it still counters ambush killers way to hard. In my opinion, this isn't the way to go about nerfing SB.

There've been a few instances of this happening, I think. It's definitely a bug.

I know that it's a bug that you can't move right from the beginning of the game but losing control right in the middle of it? Almost exclusively while being chased by a killer?
There has been no update recently but this only happened since yesterday, it's just very strange.

Yeah, it's happened to me before. I could look around but I couldn't move.

  • Same thing for me. Try to connect to a match and get a connection error message.

  • I completely agree. Survivors have been steadily losing stealth options and they should be rewarded more for stealth as well. These perks could use a bit of a buff now that the crutch perks are getting a well-deserved nerf.

  • Self-care is currently the best self sustaining perk there is.

  • There've been a few instances of this happening, I think. It's definitely a bug.

  • People will always be toxic in games like this. And there's always the question of what is toxic? Should teabagging or whacking someone on the hook get you banned? I don't think there's a way to completely get rid of toxicity in this game without going overkill by policing it. There's some things you just have to put up with. Now, there is toxicity that is bannable, like hacking, but this isn't punished enough and could be fixed by implementing a better report system. In my opinion, the lack of action taken against this is what causes so much toxicity. People know they can get away with it.

  • You've got my full support. I'm sure that if you work hard at it, you'll do great.

two weeks for PC, August for Xbox, late September for PS4 ;)

    I kid, I kid

The sad part is, you might be right.

  • I don't think it's a good fix. SB will still give survivors the upper hand even if they get caught in a terrible position and it still counters ambush killers too hard. Not to mention it nerfs perks that don't need it.

  • I want Leatherface in a bikini and I want it now!

  • It's not that big an issue for me when I play killer. Sure they can heal their teammate faster, but if I'm not at the hook when they get them off then they probably would've snuck off and healed up any way. If I am and that person is healed quick, I know that person has that perk and go after them. That usually works out since the perk isn't all that common. If more people ran it, it could be annoying, but I wouldn't hard camp or call it OP. I would patrol more though. I don't think it's as strong as borrowed time since that negates a possible hit and if the exit gates are open, pretty much means you have no chance to catch the survivor. If I were up against a group with WMI, I would slug more since the timer starts only if they get a survivor off a hook. It would also make Make Your Choice a lot stronger. The only thing that gives WMI that edge in power you're worried about are other mechanics of the game, like looping. I don't think it's broken in of itself. As a survivor, I like it because I play altruistically and it promotes that playstyle. But since it promotes that gameplay, it would make camping stronger.

  • These threads are always entertaining.

  • The killer should've broken off from the chase after a while. Instead, he let himself get distracted.

  • Good luck on your travels.

  • When a fellow survivor is on the hook and the killer is right in front of them, run up and help them as fast as you can. The killer will be so surprised at your heroic bravery, he won't be able to do anything and you can get out unscathed.

  • I feel like Farquaad would come up a bit short.

  • I love this idea. I think it would be pretty cool if they updated other killer's moris first since the Trapper's and Wraith's are very lackluster.

  • The hag is in a weird place. Sometimes she seems viable and other times, not so much. Take my opinion with a grain of salt since I don't play her much, but I think her upcoming buffs are fine. She'll still take a good amount of skill since you still have to read survivors, predict the route they take, and manage your time carefully but, the way she is now, she seems very reactionary. She depends a lot on survivors messing up and a few flashlight bois who know what they're doing can disarm her. If anyone disagrees, there's probably a good reason why since, again, I don't have that much time on the hag, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

  • It's because she's the only killer that's consistently good. They forget about all the effort it takes to master her and want her nerfed. I find it very ironic, that most killers have to rely on the survivors messing up to have a good chance and when killers ask for buffs they get crud like "you just want an easy 4k", but when the coin is flipped and a killer has all the control they cry for nerfs.

EDIT: She doesn't need a nerf. She's the only killer that can be mastered to the point where they can control the flow of a game.

  • Perma banning might be taking it a bit far, but there definitely needs to be better consequences for DCing. A time ban from the game, maybe, that increases more and more every time you DC withing a certain time period, say a month.

  • Honestly, I'm surprised the ranking system has stayed this way for so long. At least the BNP is getting a heavy nerf.

  • I mostly play survivor as well and I agree. They've been spoiled rotten for a long time, so when things don't go their way, they throw a fit.

so I’ve noticed a lot of face camping lately while playing the cannibal especially it totally holds the game hostage to camp especially with a chainsaw that has about five swings borrowed time can’t even save them. What if??... and this is a big what if.?? The dying process slows tremendous while the killer is in the vacinity o the hook I’m talking enough time to finish all gens of the killer stays. I only ask this because there’s legit NO way to save this person and still goes the killer time to find another victim before gens are completed. I know killer mains are going to argue well the survivor shouldn’t go down if he doesn’t wanna be camped but it’s inevitable a killer is goin to eventually down some doesn’t matter how good they are. Just some food for thought.

I think that idea was tried and abused. As for camping in of itself, the best thing to do is leave the person and get the gens done.

Good wishes to anyone that mains killers. I also had to make a new thread and change the title because it got removed for having the word “report” in it.

Out of interest why did you scribble out their name

It's against the forums rules to name someone in-game publicly, I think.

  • Unfortunately, there will always be players like this. People will always find a way to be toxic in any game that involves interacting with others.

  • Someone's not doing gens? Throw cans at them. 10/10 would bring

  • His release was very clearly rushed. He didn't come with a map or a survivor and his release trailer was very lackluster.

  • I think this time, some form of compensation would be reasonable, since they can't just say "it was in the upcoming weeks" like they did earlier. If they keep treating their players like this then I doubt they'll stick around long. I hope they show some consideration this time around instead of brushing them off by shutting the thread down with a cold reply.

  • I like this idea and I've considered it for a while, but it doesn't solve some major issues, like looping. It might also encourage some solo players to lobby dodge.

  • I play a lot of Wraith, and it really is Pallet Town. Without Ruin, he has a rough time. I think that decreasing his visibility while cloaked is something he needs. Maybe add minor windstorm into his main kit and it could be increased with add ons. I've considered the idea that maybe he would be able to hit you while cloaked, but it would need to be carefully balanced or it could easily be too strong. If that would be added, it should take longer then an ordinary hit, survivors should hear an auditory warning, like a snarl, and doing so would force you out of cloaked form. If you were to choose to attack while cloaked, he would not be able to activate windstorm and recovery from a missed attack would be a bit longer then an ordinary miss. All this would make him more of the ambush killer he's supposed to be but right now, he eats pallets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    1. The time might have to be adjusted, and I'm not sure about showing the auras of other survivors that cross their path.
    2. If this perk is combined with BBQ n Chili, then it's ridiculous. And, like Azuka said, it would promote camping even more.
    3. This perk just sounds as frustrating as Decisive Strike is for killer, if not more so. It would also be way too powerful.
