Eventually your butthurt will calm down and you will stop rage posting. But for now, you will continue to bump the thread. gg
How does butthurt, in itself, calm down? Is butthurt a sentient thing? Have we been blind all this time?

stop crying

The circle continues. Is this like the Lion King, but instead of the circle of life, it's the circle of stop crying?

lol you literally asked why i brought up score, in this score based game, in a discussion about a perk that affects score.
you have no case. stop crying.
Ah, I see context isn't your strength either. I said in an earlier comment that I don't care that much about score. You responded to my earlier message, where I said I didn't care about score, with, "sorry you got outscored", implying that I care about score even though I said it didn't matter that much to me. So I asked why you brought it up all the time since it was out of place in that given situation. I didn't ask why you brought score up just in the game, I more asked why you brought it up all the time, even when there was no reason to. I thought I'd clear that up, since you seem a little lost.

I enjoy slaughtering these kinds of players as the killer. I love making sure they never get those tokens and that, at the end of the day, they get the least amount of bloodpoints of them all. I'll tunnel and camp those who go out of there way to screw over and smudge the game for others, even if all the rest get away. And I run this perk too, but I don't need to rely on using my teammates as bait to get those tokens. I take hits anyway and get them off the hook when it's safe to, not just dump the killer on them. I'll hate the player all I want, not because they run the perk, but because they crap on others, ruining their fun for some extra points they could get anyway without playing like a prick. lol its people like you who come to my stream after the game to rage about you getting 6k while i got 40k, and tell me about what you are gonna do next time you see me.

You may see yourself as competing against your fellow survivors, but that doesn't justify leeching fun out the game for them for the sake of extra points you can get anyway without screwing over others. I use WGLF, but I'm not that much of a jerk as to crap on other survivors and ruin their games just for the extra points. That's honestly completely selfish. You trying to justify playing like a jerk by saying "we aren't on a team" gives your point about as much validity as using you comparing bloodpoint numbers. Your point is ungrounded and the fact that you justify ruining the game for others for the sake of extra points is pathetic. I don't care about who's got a higher score or more bloodpoints. I made that pretty clear already so I don't know why you keep bringing it up as if that adds validity to your point at all. I play games to have fun first and foremost, win or lose. What I am angry about is that people like you suck the fun out of the game for others for the sake of points, even though they can get these points without playing like a jerk, and then try to justify it. It's selfish and a jerk move, plain and simple.

I never said you had to ensure my escape. I never said you had to drag me to the finish line either. I never said you had to do jack. I honestly have no idea where you got that idea. However, I did say that the way you play is scummy and I go out of my way to punish jerks who play like you. Jerks who go out of the way to get others killed for the sake of extra points they can easily get by not playing like that anyway. And, to make things even more stupid, you try to justify ruining the game for others by saying things like "I'm not obligated to ensure your escape." That was never the point. The point is that you purposely get others off the hook in front of the killer, knowing that you're screwing them over, ruin the game for them for bloodpoints, and then try to justify it even though you can get those tokens without resorting to playing like that. The point is that you making a post to justify consciously sucking the fun out of the game for others for the sake of extra points is dumb and playing that way is scummy.

I like how you didn't actually respond to anything I wrote. You yourself don't deny that the you play like a scumbag. You resort to the amount of points you get and that I would bother going to your stream as if that somehow gives you some form of validity. You're the one who's trying to justify himself sucking the fun out the game for others. That, in itself, is precious. You remind of the survivors who cry at me when I tunnel and camp them for playing the way you describe. And I enjoy tunneling these kinds of survivors, not because I didn't get much points or whatever, but because they play like jerks and I feel like it's only fair that I ruin the game for them as much as they ruin the game for others. If I cared about points that much, then I wouldn't tunnel them and let the others escape, but that part seems to have gone right over your head.

It varies massively depending on the killer. Most of the Nurse's add-ons hurt her more than they help her. On the flip-side, the Trapper relies a bit too much on add-ons. When it comes to survivors, some add-ons are ridiculous, like the odd bulb + sapphire lens combo, brand new part, and insta-heal syringe and these definitely need to get looked over.

It's honestly a bad idea in, my opinion. Perks like Lithe and Balanced Landing don't need a nerf in the slightest and it doesn't solve some of the main issues of SB, which is countering ambush killers too hard and giving survivors a second chance if they're positioning is awful. It needs more of a direct nerf.

What I like to do is ignore them for the time being. I know that the reason they're so cocky is because they're either good, or they're going to use every pallet in the game and loop me from dusk till dawn. I focus on other survivors instead and narrow their numbers down. I try to make the game easier for myself by slowing it down a bit before going after them. By then, they've lost a lot of their advantage and I can usually take them down. The best thing to do is not take the bait and, instead, focus on making them, as a team, weaker by going after others.

Face-camping is an act on its own. You're using the skill used in a chase and trying to apply it to camping, which doesn't work if we're talking just about camping. Now, I don't get mad at killers for camping when they have their reasons, but I'm not going to act like standing there and doing nothing takes skill. Face camping isn't the same as the chase itself so it doesn't make sense to merge the two. Sure, the chase might've taken skill, but camping doesn't.

1.) Face-camping can suck, but it can be punished by working on gens.
2.) Ruin is used by a lot of killers because, without it, they are easily genrushed. Even then, really good survivors can power through it.
3. This goes for both sides. While some add-ons, like extra blinks on the nurse, feel unfun to play against, the same can be said for some survivor add-ons, like the brand new part.but they are nerfing Brand new parts but not adjusting tombstone, blinks, why can myers just straight grab and mori you without downing or hooking? why can nurse blink 4 times? sure she staggers but can instantly do 4 more blinks..
Myers still has to stalk you for a while before being able to use it and his movement speed is slower then usual with the add-on. You should be able to pop off a good amount of gens before he can use it if the survivors break line of site and actually try to get away from him. As for stalking close to survivors, they have to be very unaware of their surroundings for that to work long enough.
-
It doesn't seem like a change worth making. The hallucinations serve their purpose alright and they're a pretty good indicator of where a survivor is, especially since the doctor can find you pretty easily any way. Maybe they could add the red stain but having the doctor walk toward you would only fool brand new players and, after that, is kind of useless besides giving the doctor a bit more of an idea of where the survivor is, which isn't really something he needs.
-
You need to record the game for proof of cheating and link it in the report description or the Dev's twitter, I think. Without solid proof, they can't ban anybody.

The point of having those perks would then be undone my dear. A Wraith won't exactly walk up to you whilst uncloaked. And a Pig's lunge would get you before the perk was even made effective.
I know, which is why I said I wouldn't change them. I was just stating the nerfs I'd make if I had to at all. In fact, I really like these perks because they encourage a stealthy playstyle, which not enough perks do, in my opinion.

I've heard some ideas about how to fix the problem. The one I like the most is having the survivors do other objectives, like finding certain parts around the map, to fully repair generators. I like this idea more then adding gen time because doing gens is already kind of boring and adding more time to it would just sap some of the fun out of the game for survivors. And doing more objectives adds more, gameplay wise, for the survivor. The problem about those ideas, additional objectives, is that they can just be rushed. And the main problem of genrush is 3 people working on gens before you hooked someone.
After someone got hooked, there shouldn't be anything to delay gens or else camping will get even more favored. If it takes 20s to find parts, you may aswell add 20s to gens. I think Ruin has an elegant impact on the game by delaying the first minute of the game which is so important for a match.
Lowranks also shouldn't be punished by this change, as they just often take their time, stealthing around playing immersed and enjoying the fear of the heartbeat. Highranks who just run straight to a gen need to be slowed down and only at the start of the game. No one wants to hold more M1 and camping shouldn't get more efficient. Its imo just the first minute that's an uncontrollable genrush. After that, the killer has control over the game.I see what you mean, but I think it relies on what new objective would be implemented. The one idea I like the most would be to have parts scattered around the map at random that the survivors could find, which are necessary to fully complete a few, if not all, gens. And I think there's a difference between the time taken to find a part and the time taken to complete a gen gameplay wise. There is the whole camping issue though so an alternate idea I had that involved slowing gens down would be that whenever a survivor got hooked, their repair speed would slow down. This promotes less tunneling, as the killer would want to slow down as many survivors as possible, and camping wouldn't be made too much stronger. I agree that ruin can add that extra time, but I don't like relying on ruin to have that balance because, most of time, it spawns right in front of a survivor and it's gone in seconds. I see your point about not having too much to delay the game after a survivor gets hooked, but if ruin spawns in a good spot, it could last well after someone gets hooked and it drastically delays the game from that point forward. It's too unreliable to rest the balance of the game on, but I see where you're coming from.
-
Right now, the best thing you can do when a killer is camping is get the gens done. Camping is something survivors can punish if they don't go charging at the hook. If there was one bandaid fix I would implement, (though it's not a solution) it would be to give the survivor on the hook distraction points. That doesn't fix the problem but it would at least take some of the edge off of being camped.

It's fine that you disagree with my opinion, but why not tell me why? Why not engage in a discussion about this instead of just disregarding other's opinions? The way they're nerfing SB doesn't fix one of its biggest problems, which is countering ambush killers too hard, like when the Wraith rings the bell and they SB away, leaving his ambush useless, or when the hag's traps are triggered and you SB to the nearest pallet. It also nerfs perks like Lithe and Balanced Landing, that don't need nerfs.
-
@Lowbei said:
the changes are fine. git gud.I disagree. The changes nerf perks that don't need to be nerfed and don't solve one of the biggest problems with SB, which is countering ambush killer way too hard.

@Gunmech04 said:
So basically @ShrimpTwiggs, you're saying because SB can counter ambush attacks it needs to be nerfed so Killers can get a free hit in basically?SB is a free getaway most of the time and nerfing it doesn't secure killers a hit. There are other ways to counter ambush killers like using premonition or your eyes. You know that you can still see ambush killers, right? Even the Wraith isn't completely invisible and can be noticed if you're alert. I don't know where you got the idea that nerfing SB would guarantee killers a hit since you can do other things to avoid that like dodging, using pallets and windows, and staying alert so the killer doesn't ambush you in the first place.

Though, he might be good with this buff too. Survivours will no longer be able to heal their teammate you've just downed, Selfcare won't let them wake up, so they'll need to run somewhere to wake up and they won't be able to wake up in the endgame by something anything other than being hooked or finding awake teammate. Paired with less skillcheck addons he'll be really strong.I heard that they're buffing him at some point, but are any of these changes confirmed or are they just ideas for now? They sound like solid changes, but I don't think they're guaranteed.
-
1.) He literally relies on his core ability to function like a normal killer and it can be completely countered by one perk (self care) Not only that, but it takes seven seconds to fall asleep when he uses his abiilty on you, giving you all the opportunity in the world to find a pallet. He also has nothing to help him in the chase whatsoever so he falls victim to pallet looping and genrushing, even with his ability. Compared to every other killer, he's the worst by far.
2.) That part, as I stated, is my opinion, not fact.
If you're losing to Freddy so much that you think he's balanced, maybe you need to git gud.
-
These ideas are pretty neat!
-
Coming from someone who plays mostly survivor, this is, by far, one the dumbest posts I've seen. Killers aren't complaining about survivors doing their objective, they're complaining about how easy it is for survivors to do their objective. It takes almost no skill to loop, especially with how many pallets there are. And the killer can only be in one place at once. While the killer is chasing that survivor, the others are doing gens. One gen being worked on by one survivor takes 80 seconds to do without counting toolboxes or great skill checks. For killers that have nothing to help them in a chase, three gens could be done by the time they finish one or two chases.
-
Maybe the killer gets an extra perks slot for every two players in a group? I don't know it that would completely fix the problem, but it's a start.

In any game that involves interacting with others, there's going to be toxicity. I wish the dev team would punish toxic behavior more, but people will always find a way.
-
I don't know if more gen time is the way to go about it. It's already one of the most boring parts of the game and increasing it will just sap some of the fun for the survivor. I really like the idea of adding extra objectives and consequently adding more gameplay to the survivor role. There is the whole favoring SWF issue though but it would still add much-needed time to games without watering down the fun for the survivor. A possible solution for the SWF issue might be that for every person in a group, there are less items on the map for survivors to find, but that's just a thought. As for how it would be balanced, a lot of that would have to be worked out through discussion and sharing ideas, but I believe there's a way to make it work.

it makes sense that exhaustion shouldn't recover while running. It's not always a good idea to balance things in a game around real life. By that logic, the Hillbilly shouldn't be able to run when he revs his chainsaw because it makes sense that someone wouldn't be able to run so fast while carrying something that heavy.
well the intended idea behind exhaustion perks are a one time get away from the killer during a chase. It shouldn't keep popping because of poor map design.
I agree on that, but the main issue is SB. This change nerfs other perks that don't need it.
