BUFF stealth perks!
With nerfing exhaustion, Devs obviously want to shift away from looping meta, which is a good thing.
What I don't understand: Killers do get buffed in chases, but survivors don't get tools to play more stealthily, the only exception being the Urban Evasion buff.
Please provide survivors with viable alternatives to looping.
Killers get Bitter Murmur buffed heavily, Survivors need counterplay by giving him tools to lose the killer. No, Dark Sense is not a counter, because he can still see you and you want to hide from him, so that's not helping.
Dance With Me should have a lower cooldown, e.g. 20 seconds. And when injured, you shouldn't leave blood trails during the 3 seconds.
Quick and Quiet is a perk of great potential. It should be activated at all times on tier 3. This would add the option to quickly jump back through a window. This option is lacking right now because jumping through the window for the first time already causes the cooldown.
Balanced Landing change was nice, but it should be buffed to 100% stun reduction and make no noise when falling to add opportunities to lose the killer.
Sole Survivor needs to be buffed instead of just being changed.
Start with a 60 meter distance: If the killer is more than 60m away, he cannot see you. Decrease by 20m every time you are hooked or a survivor is killed. That is a counter to both Bitter Murmur and BBQ&Chili, which is heavily needed if stealth play should be viable.
Lightweight should also counter predator by scattering the scratch marks further. This would be a very powerful tool to lose killers. The scratch marks appear only for 4/3/2 seconds. <- I guess that would be too powerful.
Iron Will should make the survivor stand completely still in crouched position, even when injured. That would be just a very minor QoL change, but it is probably unnecessary.

I think we should buff all of Kate's perks :x
Yeah they are all trash. Sadly, devs don't manage to create new viable survivor Perks for a long time.
I like the idea of buffing both Quick and Quiet and Balanced Landing... and actually yes Lightweight could use a small buff too. These overall could make a really nice stealth build without any actual meta perks.
Dance With Me, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, the new Calm Spirit, and Q&Q are all more than good enough stealth perks. Stealth is already a viable option, you just need to use the perks available to you instead of running Sprint Burst, DS, and Self-Care all the time.
I will admit that Sole Survivor should be buffed and that more options for stealth could be a good idea, but if I'm being honest, you don't even need stealth perks if you're playing Claudette with dark clothing. On some maps you are almost entirely invisible.
They did buff stealth perks...
By nerfing exhaustion perks... they've indirectly buffed everything else.
People aren't going to be able to rely on Sprint BUrst to get them to loop to loop now.
It's brilliant.
Basically, it's the self care of stealth for survivor perks. Lightweight is already INCREDIBLY good. There's a clear difference when you run it.
Honestly the OP lists all these perks, but it doesn't sound like you've used half of them.
As for Bitter Murmur getting buffed, that's why Dark Sense also got buffed. They're two sides of the same coin. Dark Sense will help you a lot with figuring out where the killer is, especially since it works whenever a gen is done, not just when you yourself complete a gen.
I would love Balanced Landing to get buffed because a Sprint perk is a great way to cut line of sight. But with the current state of balanced landing, the killer will always know where you went.
Self Care will always be meta if you are a stealthy player. It is always less likely to get caught if you don't depend on looking for a teammate to heal you. But the upcoming change is great, because you can't self care in front of the killer anymore.
It's the same with killers. Killers camp because it is strong and they can bully the survivors, survivors loop because it is strong and they can bully the killer. Vicious circle
Nope.
Killers get bloodlust because they need it. THey'll probably take it away soon I would think. So relax.
Using exhaustion perks in your build is no longer a set in stone option. They've made the stealth perks better options now.
Happy dying.
Right. The nerfed perks that people overuse...
TO shake up loadouts. Now people will have to think instead of using the same stuff.

Survivors will tend to chose the strongest option. Which currently is: loop and genrush.
**So how do you motivate survivors to adapt a different style of playing?**
**You give him viable alternatives.**
And yes, I do recognize that stealth is already a powerful option. But it is harder to master and has little action. Even if it is as strong as looping, which it still isn't, survivors will tend to chose looping since it is low-effort. They need no situational awareness, they can still use Sprint Burst to get away from the gen to the next looping spot and just run in circles.
The game offers enough perks to hide from the killer (Urban Evasion), but once you are found, the options you have to lose the killer are very limited, especially on some maps where structures spawn in small islands so breaking line of sight is very hard. And on the maps where enough structures spawn, looping will be especially powerful and it will be the better alternative to buy your teammates gen time.
I would be fine with keeping the time as it is. It was a direct counter to Predator back in the days where people actually used Predator. Now, that Predator got changed, it should still offset Predator, but keeping the advantage of scratch marks disappearing more quickly to make it stronger.
Are there new changes for Urban Evasion??
Since every killer is running BBQ and chili these days stealth isn't much of an option.
What stealth?
They don't want it. Didn't you notice all the perks they change to have you be revealed?
Don't forget the changes to tinkerer and bitter murmur.
After new PTB I find all stealth perks to be perfectly viable but buffing them more can't really hurt the game since you'll encounter less looping perks that way.
The funny thing is they can be buffed pretty easily too ... atleast for me maybe it's just the "im playing the game so i know better than the dev" feels.
Stealth would be a fun change to looping but I'd hate to play a match where I spend 5 minutes finding no one and everyone escapes.
I completely agree. Survivors have been steadily losing stealth options and they should be rewarded more for stealth as well. These perks could use a bit of a buff now that the crutch perks are getting a well-deserved nerf.
