I am always fascinated by the cringey names Blight players come up with for anything Blight related (although Bump Logic takes the cake imo).

Just did the math
Your odds of successfully not escaping from the hook using slippery meat 6 times a game paired with ante up (a 7% chance to escape) is 1.645 x 10 ^-17 power, aka a literal statistical anomaly.
I’ll even be nice and assume you’re just grossly hyperbolizing, let’s say you ran it 10 games in a row with up the ante and tried 6 times per game to get off the hook.
You have a 0.00134% chance to not get off the hook…
Theres no need to lie about this bro lol
Your math is not mathing...
If you won't get off the hook 60 times (6 attempts per match; 10 matches), then the probability of that happening is 0.93^60 = 0.01285, ie. 1.3%. Which still isn't much, but it is still quite possible. (Not defending anyone though, just an fyi)

His zapping works, even with no TR.

The latest Nurse chase music is godawful and loud, but yeah, SM chase music is bad.
Nurse's soundtrack sounds like someone is banging on cookware lol.

I hate him solely for the way he runs lol.

They allowed her to cancel her powers to put her in line with all the other Killers who could cancel their powers.
Yes it would make her harder to master but handicap her on multi level maps considerably, she already has trouble on those maps because the Player has to guess if they are blinking to the right spot. This will make her useless on those maps because her base movement speed is slower than Survivors. You would have to give her a major speed buff to compensate for making her unable to look up or down.
There are many ways to mind game her now as is just players refuse to learn them or use them because they think that the counter to her should be like all the other Killers.....
I don't see how it would handicap her. Teleport to stairs, walk them up, continue teleporting. And guessing if I am blinking to the right spot seems very easy to me. She used to be like this before 1.9.0 and nobody had issues with it.
She can look down to teleport down.
There are some mind games, this would introduce some more while making her harder to play.
-
So basically a slow Blight that can bounce only once?
Yeah, no.

Bug report section: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
Opening threads in General Discussion only serves to get other players' attention. It doesn't actually help to get bugs fixed.
All these bugs have been reported numerous times. Nothing happened.
-
I can recall these bugs rn:
- When charging a blink, she won't raise her left hand but instead her right hand will shake while a stuttery sound plays (very old bug)
- Sometimes after blinking, pressing M1 to hit survivor won't do anything (also a very old bug)
- When missing a hit after blinking, it takes her around 1 second longer than before to enter the cooldown phase (which also means that blinks take longer to recharge) [1]
- Being hit with a pallet after blinking makes her POV jumpy
- She can't blink through some obstacles
[1] Originally when you missed a hit after blinking, she would go immediately into the cooldown phase. Now, she briefly (for like a second) raises her left hand and then she goes to the CD phase.
-
Nurse is now balanced.
Hell no. Double cooldown is the laziest and worst nerf I have ever seen. (+ terrible add-ons)

Maybe I need to play a lot more for the MMR to put me in the proper bracket but my experience with it has been bad. There is no true way to determine someone's skill level. The emblem system certainly doesn't help. Majority of my matches when they turned on MMR were against newbs. The kind where you feel bad because you look like a jerk for just playing the game. I got just under 1k hours and I'm being paired with brand new survivors. Seriously, how is that fair? I've had the game for 4 years and these devs have betrayed my trust more than they earned it. I simply don't trust them to do something good anymore.
Yeah, the last time MMR was on, my P3 killers were paired against brand new survivors, but newly bought killers were paired against R1 survivors with 1000+hrs.
-
How does the precision of PS4 Nurse's blink affect you as a survivor when playing against a PC Nurse? I play her from time to time on Xbox (FPS are terrible) and am able to do 4Ks.
-
@Entità Well, maybe try some other jukes than rotating on the spot.
-
Well, Nurse's Calling and BBQ are the best for her.
There is a common add-on (Plaid Flannel) that shows you where you'll blink, but I personally don't use it, because it is quite confusing, as it makes you concentrate more on that white spot than on survivors. (On the other hand, I've started playing her way back in v1.5.0, so there's that.) If you want a less punishing experience, go with add-ons that reduce Blink recharge time.
Other than that, practise makes perfect.
-
Console survivors are as strong as their PC teammates. (imo analogue stick is better for survivors than KB+M). Maybe you have troubles outplaying nurse because you don't play her. I play her on PC, so even when I am on Xbox, I can outplay her (crossplay on of course).
Sorry to say that, but get good.
-
I don't know if I am alone, but the temple is still bugged to me. It won't let me blink upstairs.
Also they could fix the animation when breaking pallets.

Considering the forced recovery animation after each rush no matter whether you hit someone or not (the injection or the wipe, both are basically the same), the difficulty of landing hits unless the survivor just hasn't figure out "move left or right sharply" or is in a really vulnerable position to begin with, the long wait for the red bar to fill back up, the token management, all for a single health state, maybe he should be able to turn better during his lunge? Also, maybe the game in general just needs an option to turn off aim dressing, because that [BAD WORD] is making me more and more mad every day I play. It's so disorienting and causes so many missed hits when survivors are aware of how to screw with it.
I have a mouse, these are melee attacks, I do not need you to [BAD WORD] aim for me. The entire point of the game is me getting close and doing the aiming. Hilariously, the ranged killers don't have aim dressing because I guess they know it would make them virtually unplayable. At least with melee it usually doesn't bone you. Having Oni's overhead attack getting aim dressed 150 degrees in a random direction has actually caused me to completely lose people a few times, let alone all the times it forces me to attack a wall for some godforsaken reason.
What a terrible system.
I play nurse both on Xbox and PC. I've missed so many hits thanks to aim dressing.
-
Oh so it's a dbd bug. I played nurse on Nvidia GeForce Now and got stuttering after blinking. I thought it's my internet acting up.
-
Exclude Sprint Burst though.

People would buy mouse and keyboard and turn off crossplay and dominate console players who've turned off crossplay just so they don't have to play against a mouse and a keyboard.
And how exactly am I at a disadvantage when I play as a survivor with controller against killer with MnK?

MMR BAD
To avoid looking stupid, please think more. MMR has been out on Xbox for 2+ weeks AND it has been running in the background on PC and PS4, so everyone has already played more than 10 games :).
-
This system is flawed. It pairs clearly new players against experienced ones.
And yes, I have played way more than 10 games as a survivor and I still play against potatoes with 1 perk.

Question: in consoles (XBOX or PlayStation) can you use mouse/keyboard for other games? Battlefield, Call of Duty and similar ones?
For competitive games it's Smite, Warframe and Paladins.
For other games, I know of Cities Skylines and Surviving Mars (or what is it called).
(Applies to Xbox, dont know about PlayStation)

I ignore them. Although if they write a long essay about how terrible I am, I usually type "cry me a river lol", which is usually followed by more crying.

wow... your statement about not playing till it gets fixed is an ultimatum. ultimatiums i will do or will not do something till something gets done or stopped. that's an ultimatum. wow. don't even realize what you tried to couch with lots of words boils down to "I will not play till your fix this." 8 words.
But you make it sound like ultimatums are a bad thing. The ability to stand your ground is pretty important in life.
-
Oni can't activate his power.
Nurse can't teleport around some places.
Wraith is (or feels) slower.
Sound bugs.
Game not ending after EGC.
Game sometimes won't register pressing M1.
Terrible optimization on console after the recent patch.
Can't pick up survivors at certain places.
Auto-aim (aim dressing) makes me whiff or miss survivors (see my last post).
Can't reveal GF even when directly staring at him.
Is this enough?
-
Your profile is saved on a server, so you wouldn't lose your grind.
-
Honestly if Wraith receives similar treatment (terrible add-ons and a cooldown), I am quitting. The overuse of cooldowns is really annoying.

@Freki said:
mmr does not use rank what so ever. so you can easily see spreads like this. you have to give up rank as a signifier of your capabilities
Spreads like a r20 killer with 1 (one) perk against 4 R1 survivors? Yeah no.

I know this post is about matchmaking, but I have another question. The third image... was “killedbybot9085” a real human player? 🤔
It was a bad Nurse that slugged one single player and refused to let go of him. Luckily we managed to bodyblock her.
-
@Speshul_Kitten said:
Is anyone here who is saying “rank doesn’t mean anything” actually playing with the new MMR?
So far, in EVERY single one of my matches with this new MMR, the ranks made a lot of correlation to the players skill.
The yellow ranks played like yellow ranks and were completely slaughtered. In my entire week of playing this new MMR I can confidently say that the ranks actually matched the players skill levels.
Ikr? R1 survs usually can run the killer for some time but those R20 usually hide in plain sight.

Actually that does beg the question, when the last time survivors got a nerf that required them to get more skilled. Im not talking gen speed nerfs or toolboxes. I mean like, harder skill checks something to make survivors have to improve gameplay? Im not sarcastic either im rather lax on patch notes and legitimately dont know.
The only skill related change I can think of is that they removed pallet vacuum and Doctor got those random skill checks.

I mean... The nurse paragraph was the biggest giveaway...

Recently I witnessed first gen being done under 25 seconds. These gen times are stressful.

Nostromo as a map ❤️

Don't worry! Surely there is some killer main already explaining why is it a good thing!

Ah... You are aware that spirit is not a standard killer and requires a different skillset to play, right?
Don't get me wrong, I do not think that someone with a decent audio setup and Stridor has any real skill, but if you are playing spirit like a standard chaser then you are going to lose when you go against teams that don't give up upon hearing the whoosh.
Different skillset == hit them, go vacuum and hit them again?

They promised 60 fps for console in the beginning of LAST YEAR... I still remember it. But not a word has been heard since.
I remember that too. 60 FPS for Xbox and PS, 30 FPS for the upcoming Switch.
The so hyped December Patch came and nothing changed. Then they broke the optimization into 4 phases. And after 2 phases or so they forgot about it.
Tbh when it comes to the technical aspect of the game, I don't trust these devs anything anymore.
-
I think you don't know how percentage works. Reducing speed by 150 % essentially means that she is picking up hatchets from the ground lol.
-
I doubt we will have Ellen Ripley, because her actress, Sigourney Weaver, isn't a big fan of being in games. Iirc it took Creative Assembly a long time to get permission from her to appear in Alien: Isolation.
-
Lery's is actually pretty hard for nurse, because of all the windows and small spaces. In no way would I think that it is perfect for her.

Everyone wants to keep bringing up "What about this bug they didn't fix", which is fair, but don't consider the hundreds or thousands of bugs they caught during testing.
Don't believe me? Check the patch notes, you know the part almost everyone skips because it's not interesting to them. You'll see how many bugs they caught. 😊
My point was that they missed the most obvious (and game breaking) bug.

I honestly feel like that's a feeling everyone in this community needs to get over it.
It's why I am sick of hearing people complain about SWF groups. It's a game, there will be things you dislike in it.
And what exactly is wrong with this feeling?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/153233/please-bhvr-spot-reworking-killers
Let me break down your two reasons! 🙂
Prepare yourself for this wall of text! 😅
- Actually, Rework Freddy is pretty decent, I can see why you would call him a nerf if he doesn't revolve around your playstyle. However, someone who fits Rework Freddy's playstyle, he's definitely a great killer! His snares and dream pallets make him a great chase killer, but most importantly, his teleport allows him to apply pressure! The fact that the developers had to nerf Rework Freddy must say something about how strong he was when used at his highest potential! As for Rework Doctor, he's insane and has so much potential. You can cut loops without having to waste time switching stances, that is a huge +chase potential for Rework Doctor. Static Blast is great as well because unlike before, it guarantees a survivor will scream if they are hit by it. Couple this with Whispers, you have a killer with insane tracking and chase potential.
- With new content, always comes bugs. You can't expect a Internal Testing Team to locate every bug that comes with the new update. Think of it like a forest, you can definitely explore the entire forest on your own, but it takes forever and more likely than not, you would still miss some areas. However, having multiple people explore the entire forest would be faster and you wouldn't miss some areas because people are overlapping each other to double check. I wish the developers, or any developer for the matter, could release new content without bugs, but sadly, there's isn't a perfect solution that makes this reality. Therefore, just rest assured that the team are doing their best to keep the game bug free. If you need proof that the developers are trying, just refer to the previous updates where they fixed a bunch of bugs.
You mean how they reworked the nurse (1.9.0) and she had that bugged lunge after every hit?
DbD's QA team isn't very good tbh.

It’s been like this ever since 2.2.0 when they sped up the grab animation.
Ooh that wonderful Nurse bug that instead of grabbing them, you hit them, the weapon wiping animation plays and then fatigue kicks in.
I think it is still bugged, right?
