The entity punishes you for playing "optimally" because it feeds on the survivors hope of escape. Your play robs it so you get punished for it.
-
There are many sales throughout the year for the game and DLC's.
-
How about a wave of solid bug fixes.
-
You play killer on wifi, shame on you.
-
Yes, I would rather that happen because I get points for those actions
-
It's fine, keep making survivor less fun because "balance" and the lobby wait times will only get worse than they have. Stop expecting to win every game and just have fun ffs.
-
Was Jake until they lit up my old man hair so now it's Ace with old head and tux and hag/Myers/wraith
-
Maybe you do bones next time......
This is coming from someone with more hours in survivor than killer although I don't "main" either. It's usually just up to lobby times and my limited playtime.
-
Tis what I was referring to. It didn't need the nerfbat it got, just a few fixes to offer counterplay and remove the exploit.
-
Just delete legion
-
I thought the same thing last night against a Myers, his intimidation was gone because I couldn't hear anything but annoying ghostfaces sound. I understand why they would want to make all the exposed status the same but I prefer to know why I was exposed and that's why I like them different.
-
In my opinion, yes. I wish you could see who the killer is, not what killer they are playing because I still like that early game mystery, just who they are. I would dodge quiet a few that only play to mine salt instead of trying to have fun.
-
There's also nearly no points for stealth. You can go the entire match never being seen/chased/hit by the killer and get no emblem or points.
-
And if the gate isn't 99%ed
-
I main Jake and use the old man Jake head because it fits me but this last change made it look like a damn sparkler.

Usually when I get games like this I will take the opportunity to work on my chase. I am not good on either side of the chase so it is welcome for me. With limited pallets (haha, funny I know), bloodlust, and exhaustion requiring no sprint there aren't any "infinites" technically. Just don't drop the chase on someone, even when someone tries to bodyblock for them. Chase the one until down, but learn from the chase. Pay attention to the pathing choices and available cutoff paths, etc. Learn to use the red stain to mindgame the survivors and soon you will be telling them where to go for the hit, not the escape. See you in the fog.

Survivors may have switched to Killer. People suspected it was due to Double BP, The Anniversary Event and just Ghostface's release. It maybe Solo survivor sucks so bad to play that they would rather play killer.
This. Solo survivor is unbearable currently.
-
I actually found ghostface easier and more consistent to break out before the increase in view.

Can we please stop with making lore the reason for ranking? This is bad and terrible game design.
Back when the Victory Cube was a thing, you were awarded specifically for hooks and kills, nothing more. This was honestly the best way to Rank and rate Killers. Steamrolling was heavily rewarded, and it allowed for multiple playstyles, rather than forcing hard gen stop strategies that are currently required.
This new system isn't based on the lore at all, it's based on some arbitrary systems the devs made up in order to "gauge' the effectiveness of the Killer.
A Killer is massively rewarded with Iridsecnt Gatekeeper for killing all 4 with 5 gens still up. How is it that he is rewarded, yet still isn't allowed to pip?
Don't conflate lore and ranking mechanics please. The lore should compliment the gameplay, not the other way around.
Ok, how about this. The devs want the game to be fun and a killer steamrolling to a 4k in 3 minutes with 5 gens up is not fun for any survivor, the largest portion of the playerbase.
-
Because as killer you need to extend the game, get multiple hooks on everyone, etc. The lore is as the killer you are there to feed the entity with survivor hope and steamrolling to a 4k in 3 minutes with 5 gens up is not entertaining to the entity.
-
Agility seems useless on paper but I wouldn't mind seeing/testing it in gameplay.
Parkour would be useless unless it extended your distance from the window. Non of the vault speed boosters now increase your distance from the default fast vault distance.
-
That's not a lag "spike", that's clearly a lag switch and I can't believe you would attempt to defend it as such.

It's supposed to average out. When someone who's 15 makes a lobby with someone who is 5, it's supposed to search for around Rank 10.
You also gotta consider as the wait time increases, the game opens up to more ranks so that you'll get a game.
Or it's just easier to say matchmaking is pretty funky.
I can assure you that me being rank 12 that I shouldn't face two rank 5's, a rank 8 and a rank 15 if they made the matchmaker start searching based on the 5's. Even when I am rank 10 it shouldn't balance out like that.
-
I think if they would base the matchmaking on the lowest rank survivor (highest? the red/purple rank always looking for an easy game) maybe it would balance out. I am so tired of being mid green rank (I'm a casual player with limited time and I'm also old) and facing red/purple ranks with the one bottom green/yellow rank that made the lobby for them.
-
I would also love one for Lisa.
-
Hey thanks!. Wish they would stick to one style of posting. Every patch before had it's own post, not an addition.
-
Um, no they are not currently. That's why I asked where they are.
-
I'm kind of hoping the killer will be able to cycle like the survivors when dedicated servers come out.
-
I decide on a build that I want to play and play it regardless of SWF, items, or offerings. Guess I look to have fun more than needing to roflstomp every game.
-
I saw that last night too, it's stupid looking.

-
I would actually use Stridor with those numbers.
-
{sarcasm} Didn't you know it's the killers fault if the survivors are stupid and leave a three-gen setup that's easy for the killer to patrol? {/sarcasm}
-
I actually wonder how long before the killers start to complain after the DS change about everyone still running DS and bringing flashlights and still ruining their "hard earned" hook.

Neither one deserves it. If a killer is camping a hatch either wait it out (snooze fest) and the killer may get bored and dc/come to look for you. OR GO FREAKING DO GENERATORS.I suggest waiting for a few seconds to see the killers behavior then go do generators. You know where the hatch is thanks to the killer no need to look for it.
This is what I do. I look around for the hatch and if the killer finds it and starts camping it I go get more points on gens. I will do one and slip around to see if he left the hatch to go hunt me. If not, get more points doing another. No need to leave those points if they're free.
-
TBH the team was also ######### because apparently no gens were done to trigger the timer if you went afk long enough for crows.
-
They can't even code randomized totem and pallet placement.
-
Devotion 1 level 39 and it doesn't appear to do anything different except reset the xp cost of levels again.
-
Log out and don't open the page anymore?
-
Hahaha, nice art!
-
I agree with adding Rule set number 2 to the base kit (that's the one that hides the aura right?). I also think the aura should have a timer. I can't tell you how many times as survivor I have started towards the next box and changed to another because of a chase or whatever. If they had a timer, say 10-15 seconds after activate on trap, then 10-15 seconds on each billy box complete, I think that would add some excitement to the mini-game. Those timings would need some testing for balance of course, but I think it would be fun.
-
I can confirm on pc that it is not a visual bug. Several times I have had a killer dc before getting enough points to safety pip that I lost a pip and it stayed lost on the next game. I always confirm what rank and pip I am on before readying a match and each time the killer dc's early I lose one.
-
I started the survivor run last night and in the 10 matches I played all but one doctor were tryhards hooking everyone out as fast as possible. Even had a nurse just slug ffs. The one doctor got his six event hooks and then had fun torturing us doing the event gens lol. Wish there were more like him.
-
They should have given her a cowboy hat for the event reward instead of phoning in this reskin.
-
@Milo said:
Still waiting for her to get a cowboy hat like the one Jake gotNow that would have been an event reward worth playing for.

I don't see what your point is here. For one thing, it's our job -- as Killers -- to kill in any way that we can. If we can't even do that to ONE survivor by the time all the generators are done, then that's a problem. What I am saying is perhaps your storming in to down everyone in under two minutes promotes genrushing. I for one know that when I see a killer strategically play that I also slow down and play strategically instead of running from gen to gen doing what I can before I'm in the chase wasting as much time as possible. Unlike what seems to be the majority of survivors I don't like being chased, farmed and tunneled all the time.
-
You know I keep reading this "gens are done too fast" and keep thinking about a lot of games against nurse, billy, leatherface where they just run in slugging everyone out in less than two minutes. I know this is mostly because of the sandbaggers depipping to stay low ranked because of lobby queues but god is it getting old for those of us without lightning 360 noscope reflexes. So maybe don't storm the spawn area slugging everyone and survivors may not feel the need to genrush?
-
I don't know about that. I've been seeing many hag traps trip even when crouched. I am going to test if it has something to do with UE.
-
@Tsulan said:
Pro tip: don´t touch a gen for the first 30 seconds. Stay hidden and don´t run. Thanks, that is something I have been experimenting with. Instead of running to the first gen I see, I walk to the closest edge with cover and skirt around the a bit. It's helping me not feel like I have perma-aura from the match start.
-
And then complain when you can't loop a nurse and cry for nerfs
Surprisingly the nurse is one of the killers I do well against even though I can't loop.
-
Oh and some advice against tunneling, if you got hooked, you should be aware that you are closer to death and shouldnt be some of the clicking tbagging idiots and play stealthy instead

And this works how when the killer runs right back to the hook because he was "patrolling" nearby and tunnels you? How do you even get the chance to play stealth?
