  • I play a lot of survivor as well, and I love the changes. It's great that the devs are balancing things now.

  • If you're leaving because you refuse to adapt to the update, good riddance. We don't want your kind around here.

  • I'll probably stick with Lithe and Adrenaline. I like Lithe because, even though it's situational, it works well with other perks, like you said, and there's a bit more freedom in when you use it. I like Dead Hard, but it's almost worthless once the killer knows you have it so I might lean toward Adrenaline.

I think they seriously screwed up the game for survivors with this last patch. Killers now have the advantage, they can pretty much see exactly where you are now and with the nerf to sprint burst there is no getting away. Your gonna get hooked and if you have one crappy player or DC then you lost guaranteed. So now the toxicity is going to go up and Im already seeing more hacking and tunneling, camping killers. Very annoying update, this is the only developer that actually can break something that is already broken. SMH they should be embarrassed.

The killer is supposed to have an advantage.

  • I would like the report system to be reworked soon so that people are actually punished for DCing, because losing bloodpoints is not that big a deal.

  • Also, his movement speed is 50% because he is fat.

  • Whenever someone DCs and I'm the killer, I let them farm points and let them go, because I wouldn't really feel like I won when they were at such a disadvantage. It feels like kicking a puppy. And honestly, it's good sportsmanship, in my opinion, to not go tryhard in that situation. I've been in that situation myself and it sucks balls. I'm not going to hate or blame a killer for killing a group of three survivors, but, in my opinion, it doesn't feel like a win I deserved. It's not the killer's fault that that person DCed, but they still have the choice of what to do.

  • I like the idea of decreasing the duration of her dash in exchange for speed. I also had the idea that she would be able to recollect her RBT by going to the Jigsaw Boxes and picking up the traps that the survivors removed.

  • I don't think you're allowed to post things like this that show the names of others, dude. You can get banned for naming and shaming if you don't take this down or, at least, hide their name.

  • This patch is easily one of the best things to happen to the game in long time.

I don't know if we'll ever get dedicated servers. i think we'd have better luck asking for harsher punishments for disconnecting.

There is currently no enforcement anyway. I was just reading the patch notes for 2.0.1 and i admit i like a lot of what i see. Here is my issue a loop hole so to speak. Rank 15 will be the new toxic playground. You can derank as often as you want if a game isn't going your way and you won't be de-leveled past 15 until season reset. So game not going your way quit, don't want to leave easy matches quit, this will be the "scum hole safety net".

Yeah, I've been worried about that too. That rank 15 would just become the new rank 20 with slightly better players. I think a lot of this could be solved by a better report system though. If people were punished more for disconnecting besides just losing bloodpoints, then this might not be as big a problem as it could become.

  • I don't know if we'll ever get dedicated servers. i think we'd have better luck asking for harsher punishments for disconnecting.

@chemical_reject Hello there! Yes, I'm a community moderator in Japan.
Curtain Call DLC will be released in PS Store Japan on 27th July.
For Auric Cell packs, unfortunately, we don't have the release date yet since devs are still working on to make it compliant with the Japanese legislation regarding Virtual Currencies.
You can see official Facebook post here (in Japanese)
    https://www.facebook.com/DeadByDaylight/posts/1797775180271046

I'm not sure about Asia outside of Japan. I'm sorry but hope they will be released soon!

    Thank you for answering.

All you have to do with Freddy is use your ability for tracking the walk to each gen
    That's pretty easy

    Please tell me you're trolling.

If you want easy wins play these killers for a easy win

    Doctor
    Freddy
     Wraith
    Hill billy
    Leatherface
    Clown
These killers here take zero skill to use
Most players that use them just hold spam their ability

Did... Did you just say to play Freddy for easy wins?

  • As someone who mains survivor as well, I love the new changes. I'll need time to adapt to them, but I'm glad the devs are balancing things out.

Ahh yes, making all survivor one hit down after their first hook is super balanced. Nullifying perks like Self-care, botany knowledge, leader, and making med kits useless after their first hook.

Jesus you guys have no idea what balance is 😂

Easy to complain when you have no ideas of your own.

I’d rather make no suggestions than stupid suggestions.

I think making stupid suggestions is better. At least, in that instance, a discussion is started and it shows that you're willing to give out ideas and get feedback.

  • @Orion said:
I think they should just remain injured for the rest of the trial, like they had No Mither. It'd buff Thanatophobia and reward Killers for hooking multiple Survivors.

I think this change would be way too strong in favor of the killer. I agree that some things need to be balanced out, but this doesn't seem to be the way to go. It only encourages stealthy play until the survivor gets hooked, then it almost completely destroys it because of blood trails and sounds of pain. It already sucks that, for some killers, Ruin feels like a mandatory perk. Why should survivors feel like they have to run iron will to have a decent chance? For killers like the Doctor, especially, who already counter stealth, it would be far too strong.

  • Give yourself time to adapt to the new changes. It hasn't even been out a day yet.

If you were to take off the ability to make a killer drop the survivor with a flashlight save, I think having the killer be stunned and unable to move (except for the direction they're looking of course) would be better then increasing the wiggle speed.

This can be a rework as well, like if the killer was on a pallet but you couldn't reach the pallet in time... you could blind him in place to help you get the pallet drop save. It could work well with the NEW DS because the killer is forced a blind since he can't move which gives the survivor more time to wiggle. Nice ideas @ShrimpTwiggs :)

Thanks :) It's really nice to see when people throw out ideas rather then just say 'nerf this' and 'buff that.' And it's good to see positivity on these forums every now and then.

  • There's entitlement on both sides. The reason survivor's seem more entitled is because they're the majority.

  • If you were to take off the ability to make a killer drop the survivor with a flashlight save, I think having the killer be stunned and unable to move (except for the direction they're looking of course) would be better then increasing the wiggle speed.

  • This would still be a band-aid fix on a larger issue. The time it would take to get those two-three hooks probably wouldn't be worth it for the insta-down. Not to mention it would end up punishing some survivors for the mistakes of others, which is far from fun.

  • Ban me, Daddy!

I can't remember where i saw this idea but what if survivors weren't able to wake up after missing healing skill checks or being woken up after being healed out of dying would be great.

I think the devs are considering this idea and frankly, it'd help Freddy quite a bit. Being completely countered by one perk is just ridiculous. I think that if someone is transitioning to the dream state, Freddy should be able to pull them off of gens, windows and pallets. That would stop people from completing a gen right in front of his face.

  • Cool idea, but this killer would be crushed by SWF.

All killers should have some sort range attack imo... thoughts? If only to slow them down or trip the survivors up...maybe not injure them

    Michael Myers: throws knife

it would be questionable for the licensed characters because it would cost more to make changes to them.... but for the other killers maybe it's something that could happen?? idk just an idea

I'm not sure if every killer should have a ranged attack, since that would make the killer role seem repetitive. I think it's better that there's a variety in strengths and weaknesses. Some should be strong against stealth, like the doctor, and some should have range, like the huntress. The Hillbilly, for example, is a viable killer already so there's no need for him to have a ranged attack.

    Punctuation, man! Use it!

  • Wraith is my favorite. He has the coolest design, in my opinion and he's got a pretty chill, straightforward playstyle so he was the first killer I picked up, though I would like him to have a higher skillcap. I also love playing stealthy. A close second would be the Huntress. She also has a cool design and her lore is arguably the best of any of the killers. She also has a higher skillcap and I always love the challenge of learning to play a character that's tougher to use. The next is probably the Nurse for me.

  • I wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes. Before he opens the fridge, does he have to pull it into the dream state? Does he have to pull utensils into the dream state too? How about the microwave? When he goes to bed, does he pull that into the dream state as well. Does he have dreams of pulling things into the dream state while he's in the dream state?

  • Red forest is where it's at. I love the atmosphere the map has, and it's just fun to play on as both survivor and killer.

  • You can't name and shame here, man. At least cover their names.

  • I think this is a fair change. I considered maybe having it glow a different color as well so the aura wouldn't be hidden behind gens.

I've heard that (probably) this month new event is coming to DbD! I've heard that it'll be similar to Howling Grounds and I'm very excited! Kate Denson shirt etc. Some informations about new event? :D

I have heard that there will be a strike during the event (probably)

I´ve heard that the earth hat the shape of a unicorn. (probably)

You idiot, this is how the earth's shaped!

  • Depends on the context. If someone does it when they drop a pallet on me or at the exit gate, it's definitely a taunt. If I'm a survivor and my fellow survivors teabag at me when we meet up, I participate in the sacred teabagging ritual of greeting.

apparently some new mod got salty at me lol

Genuine question, what happens when you get put behind bars? Do you have a limit on comments or something?

  • Just ignore them. I think it's hilarious when they send messages like that since I've learned to feed off of their salt. Don't be scared of false bans either. The in-game report system is currently useless.

  • Did you make this post twice?

  • As someone who plays a lot of survivor, I think other objectives to do would be a good idea. I don't like just adding more gen time since doing gens is pretty boring as it is.

they think they're hot ######### for doing it too, when in reality they're just being carried by what basically amounts to a cheat.

I always end up dying in my 4 man swf group anyways.
So I don't see the problem.
SFW groups are somewhat too altruistic and so are we.
    Tell me one thing now!
What is the real problem with SWF?

I think the main issue with SWF is voice comms. Regardless of whether or not they're considered cheating, they provide a massive advantage due to the ability to share so much information easily. If one person finds a hex, everyone knows it. If one person finds a trap, everyone knows it. If someone dies, all the killer's perks can be told to the others. One of the only weaknesses of SWF is, as you said, they're overly altruistic. But that still means that they have to make the mistake for the killer to take advantage of that.

  • The way I see him is that he fits well in middle-tier, just under the Doctor. As for if he needs any buffs, I don't think so but it's a bit too soon to make any big decision. Let people learn how to play with and against him and then we'll see where he lies.

  • I only do it in retaliation. They teabag and click flashlights at me, I thwack them a couple times on the hook and nod at them for a while.

  • Why did you make this post twice?

  • I think these are cool ideas, but I'm not sure about Huntress's Lullaby. That perk is already incredibly strong on the doctor so I don't know if that change would be the way to go.

Though the game has it's problems, I love the experience. Playing as a solo survivor keeps things intense and challenging for the most part, and I love all the options to adjust perks, items, and add-ons. The variety of killers to go up against keeps things interesting as well. As a killer, I love how different they play. They're all unique and I love the original designs they came up with for both survivors and killers. I also like the lore they put into the game. It's nothing masterful, but it adds more of an interesting atmosphere to the game. And I love those games that feel like they're a challenge, but not hopeless to one side or the other. Where both the survivors and the killers are giving each other a run for their money.

I'd love to see some cool comics or movie shorts for all the killers. I think it could be a fun little project for someone far more talented than I to do. :)

Yeah, that would be pretty neat. I think it'd be cool if some of the artists in the dev team had the time to make short comics, visualizing the past of some the survivors and killers.
