Fire up is only 20% at max, maybe some day we will see 25 but for now it only finds itself in meme builds

25% still sucks, it needs more benefits lol per gen

    Like just 1% haste

    There's an achievement for it.

But yeah, rank means nothing. All players are matched against all others, because BHVR:s matchmaking engine is literally just an intern in a basement with one of those lotto ball tumblers.

I don't entirely agree, I know rank doesn't show someone's experience but if your reach Rank 1 then your probably better than a rank 20.

It seems the devs only care about survivors. They should honestly look into why there are so few killers. Cause you know....that sounds like a very bad issue for a critical role in the game.

I don't entirely agree but there game does seem like is was built for survivors, after all there isn't any counter to a strong SWF which I think there should be.

Not bait. I genuinely thin Katherine labels would give people more reason to use hexs and to use more hexs in each game. I think it would add more variety in builds since killers don't have to hope (as much) rng doesn't screw them.

There are other things that should happen in the game but this is a simple addition thats long overdue. There isn't a good reason for a killer to not know this info beyond "surprises are nice" but I don't think it makes sense to have the single player to not know his belongings against 4 survivors who have largely the same info

Of [Bad word], I read it wrong. I thought you were on about survivors seeing what hex perks you run lol. I do agree now, hex perk totems should have labels.

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

Please add icons to let killers know which totem is which. I think it would make hexs much more viable of a Mechanic in the same, introduce more depth to the game, provides additional strategy, and it doesn't really provide an unfair advantage to killers.

Where things are now it super risky to have multiple hexs in the game because killers don't know which ones are worth defending or prioritizing more. You could add something similar as a white perk icon over the totem so you know which is which.

This is obviously Bait, Labels of hex's really will make this game better *sarcasm*

You severely underestimate the difference 8 seconds can make in Dbd.

While 8 seconds doesn't seem too long, Resilience also takes off 8.1 seconds of a gen.

That takes a gen from 80 seconds to 63.9 seconds.

If I loop the killer for 5+ minutes, and I can't make it through the uprights at the end of the match, I often feel like I've been robbed of a victory. I might curse my teammates for their incompetence and/or cowardness, or grumble at the killer for throwing their game to kill me alone.

But when it comes to my feelings of entitlement with escaping, the buck stops there.

    So I want to know...

Why do so many of you feel robbed of an escape when the only thing of note you did during the trial was sit on a gen and hit a few skill checks? What warrants your feelings of frustration when you did the bare minimum that was asked of you?

You took one for the team, your sacrifice was needed for the rest to escape

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/233984/dbd-isnt-survivor-sided-its-swf-sided

Many killers complain how this game is survivor-sided. In reality it is. It’s just masked by bad matchmaking system.

if solos are getting good teammates (which they should have if matchmaking works properly), I’m sure you can escape like SWF.

And many killers do really want to buff solos instead of nerfing survivors in general, and then buff killers like you said. But I would be surprised if devs really do this.

I am a survivor main and I too agree. Although, no offense but it's pointless making posts like this. Although I agree, It's the DEVS who decides. It would be nice but the DEVS wont do this, they don't understand enough of there own game, well at least red ranks.

  • I always bring Items, every game in fact. I also use broken add-ons because I can lol. If I feel like gen rushing, I'll bring Brand new part and If I feel like a second chance, well probably 5th chance. I'll run borrowed time in a bottle.

  • The perk breakout is actually pretty good

Yeah thats a good advice but i only Dc if the killer decides to tunnel or camp at only 4 or 5 gens left

This doesn't address why she is weak, her problem is her pools being too rng as well as her hit consistency.

Imo they need to allow her to use corrupted pools at range but with less duration, something like this.

    New ability: Solicit Chant

Interact with a pool of devotion from a distance to gain corrupt purge but greatly reduces its duration.

    • Distance 20 meters
    • corrupt purge duration 20 seconds
    • interaction time 3 seconds, movement speed is greatly reduced similar to leatherface in tantrum, you also chant during this time which warns survivors

Yes this is a good idea but I would remove the movement speed penalty...still need to find a way to get her power another way.

(I'm on about the survivors not your idea lol).

I'd love an adding that removes the ability to cleanse or just not cleanse unless broken

Also I think fountains shouldn't get reset if survivors fill all the fountains. it should punish survivors for over cleansing. not punish the killer...

But her power still would never activate if nobody cleanses, devs need to add a mechanic to make plague get the power another way.

small game is very killer dependent, for example if its a plague the perk is trash. theres totem hunting perks that are a lot better like: inner strenght, detectives hunch, etc. sure they are perks from licensed characters but just wait till it appears in the shrine

I'm well aware, I prefer small game over detectives hunch because I can find totems much quicker. I combine this with inner strength to get full value. Small game counter hag, trapper and hex totems, trapper is the killer which I hate going against the most simply because I can't loop freely. So that's why I run small game.

  • @Afius said:

Implementing a survivor getting shaved if they don't cleanse it in time like deep wound come help a bit. I'm not too familiar with what the plague is lacking because I don't have her. If it's her gen pressure/chase/ or just crappy power.

Per power is Top tier but again, It's the survivor who controls her power. (The Apple Add-ons don't count)

  • I do agree with everyone, you should be awarded with a custom charm for the first person to find a bug.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

or just fix her. Her puke seems to go through people 90% of the time

That wouldn't fix her pick rate, just saying. She's just an M1 killer, well at least if the survivors don't cleanse. You could tunnel and slug to force them to cleanse but that is a boring playstyle. That fix would be a start though, it needs to connect 100% of the time.

I've seen a lot of changes suggested for the tiny twin, so I figured I'd put my favorites here.

    1. Give bloodpoints for being chased by victor. Seriously, how is that even a thing that isn't already there? He's a killer, he's chasing, gimme the BPs. I've heard it theorized because he doesn't have a terror radius it messes it up, but he's got that snarling thing, so use that as the level.

    2. Let Victor be recalled, or at least picked up. If you don't want the full recall, sure, but at least let me pick him up and put him back in when I walk by. Just a small QOL improvement there. The recall is mainly to stop him from being kidnapped.

    3. Always show Victor's aura to Charlotte, and vice versa. They're linked. She can sense heartbeats around him through that link, why can't she know where he is? Seems weird to me. Also, if you aren't gonna let me recall him when he's been taken, this would be another way to stop that nonsense from occuring.

    4. Let Victor go under pallets. Make it his version of vaulting them. I've seen some argue he should break them, I think that's a stretch, since I'm guessing they weigh almost the same. He's definitely small enough to go under them though, I understand leaping over them with pounce could be a balance issue, so just key this like a killer vault, similar speed penalty.

These are just some ideas. Are they the best? Probably not. Did I forget something? Probably.

Idea 1,2 and 3 are good, I agree. Idea 4 will never work, I'm not a survivor main to [Bad Word] about things like spirit or Freddy but that seriously would be broken, what would the counter play be?

Like I said, I have figured counter plays to every killer but that idea lol. Ooh another idea, which might be too OP.

    1. Let Victor see the survivor auras.
  • @RoboMojo said:

    What?

    😂Idk either

  • I don't know, maybe it helps you find totems for inner strength.

  • Ds probably still meta even after the nerf. It's fine, survivors still have many more meta perks lol.

So survivors always call me merciless because I didn't give the hatch or because I didn't give them another chance because one of them Dcd and sometimes I down someone off the hook and get called toxic even though I wasn't going to pick them up, but here's what I don't understand, I'm toxic because I'm playing how I'm supposed to, but if something doesn't go my way Survivors start Tbagging and flashlight Clicking when they're at the Exit Gate, I'm starting to think that survivors make the killers toxic idk.

Me as a Huntress main I get bashed for playing as fair as I can, like how am I supposed to play then?

    I don't get it.

I made a post about this. When I play fair, gens go really fast. When I play unfair, I generally get survivor mains tell me I should Kill myself. This thing that goes on lol is the survivor rulebook. I made my own, killer style.

I'd prefer botany. 33% guaranteed speed at all times, desperate measures is only going to top that with 3 survivors injured which should hopefully be rare

I run desperate measures instead of botany for these reasons

    • When two people are injured, it's basically the same (5% off)
    • The perk increases unhook speed
    • Botany is just 33% while at max, Desperate measures in 56% max, nearly doubled.

  • @hiken said:

the key deserves a nerf beucase if survivors were doing gens while the killer was focusing survivors who were "moriable" u coudl still get a 2 man escape by hatch, there was enough time for that, the thing survivors now have way more time because moris are just bad and the keys remain the same, the keys are op in their own way as moris were, the difference is that moris are a killing animation (wich in many cases depending on the killer could take more time than hooking that survivor) meanwhile keys remain powerfull as they ever were.

    I totally agree but how?

How are keys going to get nerfed like mori's. I know for a FACT that the devs aren't going to nerf keys like mori's.

They could remove both for me honestly I only use either for archives or achievements. And I'm the same only play solo and seeing a P3 Claudette with a key in your lobby is always worrying lol.

Now you know full well that's just your opinion, no offense. I do agree, removing them might solve many issues but you know killer mains and survivor mains aren't that forgiving. If mori's were removed, eh so what there [BAD WORD] now anyway. If Developers removed keys, pray for the developers.

Nobody seems to realize the value of dead hooks. They are a big deal.

I generally target gens around dead hook(s.) I specifically target being hooked around other dead hooks, or at the non basement exit gate hook. I'm very cautious not to get hooked in basement.

Most of my matches are 3 escape, I died. Consider the dead hooks. You would be surprised how much time and convenience you can sprinkle on the other survivors. Simply by being mindful of the advantages in dead hook locations.

    Dead pallets are good too

  • Every survivor in dbd hates NOED, Including me but I have enough hours to know there is a counter. Take 1 of your meta perks out and swap in "Small-Game". Sure, it isn't the most OP perk but it does counter trapper too. I honestly hate trapper the most so I run small game to counter 2 things and to buff 1 thing.

    • small game counters hag and trapper.
    • small game counters hex totems.
    • small game buffs inner-strength.

    RUN SMALL GAME, IT'S GOOD.

  • @Kirkylad said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2011621#Comment_2011621

You're saying keys aren't as free of a win as a Mori. I'm sorry but keys are just a free escape and this is coming from someone who plays more survivor than killer. You can literally do nothing all game, let your team die, then wait for the killer to close the hatch and then jump straight in it. You can't do nothing all game and get kills as the killer.

That's true but with the old mori, all the killer would have to do is wait until a survivor is off the hook and tunnel them. I suppose the experience of the survivors will change how OP mori's are while keys are always strong. I too play survivor more and I'm a solo, if they do nerf keys then I would love it to be more "solo friendly".

  • @Kirkylad said:

Holding a button on a gen is harder than chasing a survivor, hitting them once, chase some more, hit them again and get them to a hook. Then repeat for next survivor..... interesting 🤔

Both sides have their pros and cons, just like you can see for both sides there are also killers like me that also see the survivors pov, it is just not fun to play the way the OP says.

But remember that nerfing gen speeds will most likely cause the game to feel worse for certain survivors.

My design will be good for all survivors. The concept I had was to take 10 seconds off per survivor on a gen. If there are two survivors on a gen then the gen will be 70 seconds. Killers have to run gen defence to counter gens and now survivors will have to do the same. prove thyself will be 10% but also works with yourself. (With this perk, gens are 72 seconds by default).

  • @tactic said:

surely if you have 9 stacks of dying light that means you’ve killed 3 survivors, and therefore can’t have max thanatophobia?

I know, the max stacks is 11 but is most scenarios, you aren't going to be running furtive chase or nemesis and the chances of your picking up a survivor who has DS is quite small. Also the hatch, I doubt your going to get 11 stacks.

  • I just like knowing the potential of "stackable" perks.

A few direct quotes of yours from other threads:

"SWF is clearly a problem, why do devs continue nerfing killers and not addressing SWF?"

"This game wasn't balanced around SWF in the first place so it's not surprising to find out SWF destroys killers even if the killer is at the top of their game"

It's always a player with this thread's mindset that complains about the other side doing the same thing lol

I don't agree with this but the developers aren't going to nerf swf, they just need to nerf actions.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

    Entitled killer main here.

If you can't win without tunneling/camping, you will never improve, I've been playing this game for far too long to not give a crap about how many kills I get.

If we go for your terms, survivors gen rushing and using really strong perks and items to allow them to do the same is fair.

If you want a depip squad that knows how to play you shouldn't complain when you lose to them.

I'm a survivor main and I agree. I try to look from both perspectives to understand the issue of why killers camp, tunnel and slug. If the developers nerfed gen speeds, then It might be beneficial for the survivor as well. I also agree that survivors have many powerful meta perks to counter killers.

  • A mix of both. I run chill builds but I always play to win, why would I want to lose?

  • But my real question is?

But again, making it 70+ seconds for 2-man would mean that less people would work on gens together.

Which again brings us to the most effective way to play survivor - split up on gens.

I'm just trying to balance out killers objective to survivors objective, let me remind you that 1 hook is just 8.333% of killers objective, 1 gen is 20% of survivors object, whether it's gens or something else, this need to be fixed.

  • I say main but I play both sides, this happens nearly every game...
