I don't like this idea, it's clear that it encourages its user to not help their teammates work on gens. That also gives the killer 300 seconds of not needing generators to pop, giving them 300 seconds to get a good amount of hooks. It's basically a guarantee win for the killer if they aren't dumb.
I know this sounds weird but I feel like Autodidact is the already-existing survivor counterpart to Devour Hope. It's either gonna work well or not work at all. Both require 5 tokens for maximum efficiency, and both are incredibly situational.
I do agree and the times will be messed with. The idea is giving the survivor a powerful perk while the killer is in control of how the survivor uses it. At the risk of there hex totems. It's a buff to hex's until it's a massive nerf.
-
Lol I don't like counting
- ?
- The killer doesn't have too look far cause it's random, it won't matter anyway cause no gens probably aren't being done
- Just don't run hex perks. If you run hex ruin, then it can't be cleansed. It's a strategic perk, it isn't OP for the begging and killers have time to apply pressure.
- Just run the perk at rank 1
The idea of the perk design is to help killers with pressure while benefiting the survivor more. Killers are in control until 5 tokens, then the killer will cleanse the yellow hex and all the killers hex's and survivor hex's will disappear. This perk will have to be OP, killers have perks like haunted ground and devour hope. Survivors can't cleanse them until 300 seconds of no gens.

Wait so you agree undying was op but still state that hex perks should never be nerfed?
Everything that is deemed to powerfull deserves to be nerfed.
Now hex perks should be powerfull enough so that if survivors don't cleanse them are at a huge disadvantage but nothing should be exempted from recieving change if needed
I don't think hex perks should be nerfed but hex: undying wasn't just a hex perk, they're was multiple hex's. Whether a hex perk is powerful or not, there is a simple counter. Just find dull totems, there's only 5.

Exactly.
I thought the exact same thing once I saw Crowd Control. There wasn’t a chance in hell they were going to let Undying remain unchanged if the Ruin + Undying combo wasn’t seen as a problem.
The real reason why they nerfed hex: undying was hex: haunted grounds. It could trigger each time. Although, if it was cause of another reason they it probably would get nerfed cause of hex: crowd control.

Great, if we're not gonna nerf NOED it means we can give it a total rework from the ground up to have a much heathier effect on the ga-
Oh you weren't saying it like that.
I don't really know what you mean but a NOED rework is a Genius Idea. I'm not just a killer main lol, I play both sides.

@Mineguy said:
So survivors should bring every game these perks and items? That's not a real counterplay. Also they don't nerf a Perk because it's funny, they do it to balance the game a little bit. I'm happy I don't have to go against undying and ruin every round.
I'm not saying your entitled but I'll tell you something that you might not know. Did you know there is only 5 dull totems on a map. Bring just small game, go around the map and cleanse all totems. How is that not a "real counterplay" . I do agree though, the old "hex undying" was a bit OP but now it's nerfed.
-
1: The perk will be a hex perk
2: The killer can see all hex perk but the survivor one will be in yellow. If the yellow hex is destroyed then all other killer hex perks will be too
3: ?
4: This is difficult to explain but I'll try. You have to wait 200 seconds (3 minutes 20 seconds) before you gain all 5 tokens. Once you reach 160 seconds, you'll be on 4 tokens. If you do gens when your on 4 tokens, you won't lose 1 straight away. Your lose seconds, if you go off a gen then it'll go back up. This effect will apply for every survivor, if all 4 survivor are on gens then the timer will go down 4 seconds at a time.
5: Both hex perks as in the survivors hex perk and killers.

Got no clue, it's dbd though, you should expect bugs or whatever.

are you trying to make it sound like killers dont have overpowered addons too? cough cough iridescent heads
Iridescent is an add-on like you said, not a item.
-
Switch to survivor
-
The only killer which I hate going against is trapper, I now run small game to counter him lol.

It's fine to play a game that you feel is chill. At the end of the day, we play for fun.
It's fun if you run fun perks, as soon as you touch a meta, the game really begins.
-
You forgot about smash hit. I would probably pick that cause it sounds OP. A 2 second stun and a sprint burst, although it'll be harder to activate, it seems like a reliable new meta.

It's pretty crazy. I've gotten countless DMs from survivors who tell me gg and compliment my Nurse but just today I played my first Spirit match in months and that exact same match I immediately get a DM from one of the survivors calling me a trash camper and tunneler even though I really didn't do either of those. I feel bad for Spirit mains. I can't even imagine how much hate they get daily just for playing their favorite killer.
People say nurse is harder to play than spirit but I just don't agree. It's true, getting a good blink is difficult but what's a harder is locating a survivor as spirit, especially survivors with iron will.
-
I've always wanted a killer as the entity, I totally agree
-
oh whoops
-
That's fine, it's still fun to come up with new combination, even if they are pretty stupid :)
(The post was no meme, I generally had that idea)
-
It was just a suggestion, I didn't expect every killer main to flood the page. The developers won't change nurse again, I'm just trying to think of fun changes for killers, I guess cause how serious this community is, fun isn't an option.
-
@GannTM said:
You survivor mains are just too funny to think Doc is OP
Also the reason why Freddy is getting nerfed, people always say "Nurse is the best killer". So why in the hell is Freddy getting nerfed, you know the developers don't think of nerfs, only survivors do.
-
@fpschosen said:
change my mind please
people like you are the reason why killers get nerfed
-
You might of got a "Brutal Killer" or at the start of rank 4. It isn't really a big deal, rank doesn't show your experience, neither does losing a rank.
-
survivor:
Object of Obsession was the most abused perk, pretty much no counter if the survivor was in a team. Thank goodness it's getting nerfed, I can now run it as a solo, it seems pretty good now.
Killer:
How much I hate the perk, noed probably isn't the most abusable. Luckily, the perk isn't used too often but I will have to go with insidious.

I know about the window vaults i was meaning more of jumping pallets. Sorry should have been more specific. Thanks for the info tho. It's when im runing straight to a pallet i go to jump and the do like a little stop then slightly creep faster over it then a regular jump.
Dbd always has bugs, you shouldn't be surprised

Survivor perks aren’t really related to gens because they don’t have to be
Solo's do gens in 80 seconds, when two survivors are on a gen, it's 47 seconds. Why not nerf that?
-
@MadLordJack said:
Gen rushing isn't a thing except in very extreme circumstances.
NOED doesn't punish genrushing, actual genrushing means the survivors woildnt go back for their teammate even without NOED. The perk exists to punish solo/casual survivors for trying to play the game.
Edit: Seriously, stop trying to claim that survivors doing their objective is evil. There is no such thing as "tunneling" gens. That's just BS that certain people (who are super fun at parties) came up with to justify playing cruelly in every single trial.
That made me laugh "Tunnelling gens". I can just imagine a killer main saying "Stop gen tunnelling". You do have a point though, killers shouldn't hate survivors for doing gens, there are many perks for gens as many perks to stop gens.
-
Run spine chill and Resilience

Which killer is least creepy?
Definitely Trickster

@BastardKing said:
Star Struck should be changed so that it does not reveal the exposed until you get hit, like Devour or NoED. The duration is too short for it to be useful if the survivors are aware that it has happened, and the cooldown makes it even more difficult to utilize. It really feels like it is meant to be a 'gotcha' perk, like the first time you get someone with Spirit Fury, NoED, or Decisive, where the real value would come from wondering if they have it.
I do agree, this would make it much stronger. The timer 90 seconds does seem a bit long too, I would buff it to 60 seconds.

@chadbeastofprey said:
i don't even want to know your thoughts on the other actual strong perks survivors have in the game. this is too funny
I have many hours, I know all powerful survivor perks. There is a difference though, for example. Borrowed time is quite OP but it counters tunnelling killers, same with the new ds. The only thing which really annoys me (Survivor main) about this bad designed perk is survivors are getting increased gen speed for the killer doing it's objectives. Combine this with prove thyself and killers got denied again.
Whether your a killer main or survivor main, you can't argue that the developers clearly don't care about gen speeds, after all they are still buffing them.
-
@chadbeastofprey said:
i think this it too much.
i just want it to be able to be proc'd after BOTH hooks and then it's a true anti tunnel perk.
Or that lol, genius

Ds got nerfed lol

I think the reason people think the new killer seems out of place is because of his base flashy visual design. A lot of people are comparing him to the other fun, flashy skins that we've had in the store/rifts, however I think the issue is, is that with his base visual design he feels out of place because he's not scary in the slightest.
All the other killers have a base visual design which makes them feel dark, scary and they look monstrous, with The Trickster he just seems like someone in a flashy outfit. I feel if he had a base scarier, darker visual design, he'd feel much more in place, and that his current cosmetics should be in the store or something
He's out of place cause his perks are all powerful. Killers aren't aloud powerful perks, this game is killer sided. Lol jk, his perks are quite good but not OP.

What I'm trying to figure out is why does this guy have STBFL lvl 1 on Wraith?
Wraith did get buffed and maybe he's trying out for the first time and hasn't got all the perks unlocked.
-
Just like the famous words of MONTO, "Touch the rainbow, taste the rainbow"
*Totally not the skittles advert*
-
Smack-down is the real concern lol, unless the killer is running enduring, this your going to get mad distance. This is better than other speed exhaustion perks because the killer is stunned while you get the speed. The killer can break it to completely destroy the chase or go around it and take a bit longer.
"Not saying it's OP, it's a cool exhaustion perk".

It says it right in the perk description.

You can get a max of three tokens.
Unless you mean total, rather than per hook. In which case... the max you can get is 27. But then you're by alone and good job, I guess? Enjoy death.
Yea I mean per hook / total. It's a pocket brand new part lol :)

if dead hard gets nerfed the next perk on the chopping block would be either bt or iron will. they will never be satisfied until we have nothing left besides deja vu
Killer exhaustion perk add-ons were nerfed so I doubt they'll nerf any exhaustion perks anytime soon.
-
Did you know? The developers have never made a patch without adding bugs
-
@eternalguard said:
I've encountered where his knives can go through objects he is still quite bugged and is actually faster than ppl think. He's basically the huntress' son on speed
Same speed lol, the killer is rubbish overall. It's a little difficult to avoid Trickster out in the open but that's just another playstyle survivor mains have to learn.
-
An Owl if my favourite animal, this would be so amazing. On the map "Dead dawg saloon", I would love it if the skeleton next to the piano was alive and was playing the piano. Sometime he would just lie there dead, sometimes he would start playing the piano. The guy would stare at you while he did it.

yeah it seems like many survivors now just dont want to think when they are chased
So true
-
Also, people wanted clown to be easy, this new buff might make him harder to play that nurse, or at least spirit. I agree, I want this change.
-
This idea sounds really cool, I agree but the devs would think it's too OP
-
@Phasmamain said:
Trapper: Weakest killer in the game since lauch
Devs after 4 years: you can reset traps
That made me laugh, the trapper is the first killer since launch. But trapper needs a buff where it's harder for survivors to escape.
-
@HungTop said:
im so tired of people saying dead hard is op because it extends chases.... like thats literally the entire point of the perk. and if you think thats op then by that same logic are we going to call insta down killer perks op since they cut chases short? of course not that would be ridiculous. so please for the love of god stop complaining about dead hard its fine the way it is.
All Dead hard does is extend a chase or recover a mess up. It can also be used to gain a little distance if you can't make it too a loop. If you think about it hard enough, dead hard is extremely powerful. Most survivors run it including myself for that very reason, if you can't see dead hard is op, then play more killer at red ranks.

Yes but there are 4 survivors dude. That's 20 stuns if they all brought a camera.
What if I reduce the item duration from 15 to 12, 4 seconds to charge and then a blind. 1.5 second total stun duration X 4 = 6 second stun. It's a little while but stops survivors on gens...
-
The change seems fun, I would run this as a solo. I don't think the obsessions aura should just be shown, if multiple people are running it then I think it'll be more balanced if everyone running it auras are shown.
-
I HAVE REMOVED 1 USE, THIS WILL BE FOR MY OTHER IDEA
